Bernie Mac was just a grumpin' today! Some days he's more talkative than others! He is still the king of sass! He was happy to meet his new Beagle brother and did quite well at introductions! Sometimes, he can be a little jerky! Bernie has enough sass for 5 Beagles combined but then he is also the sweetest love! I was pleased to see that Henry has no sass at all! I dont know that I could handle another Bernie! 🤣 He has his new mummy shirt on and was quite proud of how well it fit!! He's still been losing weight! That boy is feeling great! Goose has an adorable "grumpy old man" expression that occasionally shows up. We love him so! The babies are doing pretty well though still fighting chronic diarrhea along with cryptosporidosis and rotavirus. Because of these two illnesses (common in dairy babies) we have very strict bio-security measures in place and cannot kiss or snuggle them like we want to quite yet. Rest assured they are still getting lots of pets, scratches, and love, and are eating well, drinking electrolytes, and getting bundled up at nighttime in their little jackets. They will be tested again in two weeks to see if they've been able to shed these things from their systems and once healthy, will be ready for their surgical castrations. Thank you to all who have donated to their care, prayed for their health, and sent love and well-wishes their way. My grumpy little chicken nugget Bernie! He went to see Dr. A as well yesterday! It was senior day at the vet! Bernie hurt his neck/ upper shoulder blade on Tuesday. We did xrays to make sure nothing was broken, fractured, or injured in any way. Good news, it is most lilely a pinched nerve or pulled muscle. Bernie Mac has a flair for being ultra dramatic but that's what makes him Bernie! 😘 Dr. A gave him predisone and a muscle relaxer and ordered him to rest. That's usually not a problem for him!
