And yeah ik we have the typical green lantern (and company) shenanigans + also the JL has the watchtower and shit but I’m telling you it’s not the same.

I miss back when on a random Thursday some 100% human, nothing to do with space, type character like Tim Drake or Roy Harper could get fucking stranded on an alien planet for no apparent reason. (Bonus point if it was bc of teen superhero team related shenanigans) 

And like the only way to get back home is to take down the supreme dictator only to replace them.

Or to fucking catapult the primitive alien society decades further in technological advancement so the protagonists can rebuild their space ship.

And then once it’s all done they just never talk abt it again.

my first vague memory of my childhood is watching nirvana on mtv rocks. I don’t really know why my mind took it as so relevant, yet kurt’s blurred, emotional image burned into my unconscious. now I think I understand why, and how it lead me to who I am. I’m quite grateful.
