As an artist explain to me why Louis hair is black

we really start a debate on Louis' hair color in 2024 wwww

But okay, I'll explain as an artist

^Here we can see Louis' hair color is clearly black

Even in his older artwork, he has black hair, and later on it got updated to this

And ^THIS still consider a black hair, why? Artist never use a pure black (I mean sometimes they do it but it's rarely and depends on their artstyle) they do it to make his hairflow more clear, and to add more to it u can see his vest that also meant to be black(+red) to be not being colored with really dark black. If I have to say it, I even use the same base color for his hair before (when I still draw him with black hair)

So now, the question is "Why does he have brown hair now?” I can only answer with communication problems

This two are from official, see something? Yes, his hair is brown, why? It's the artstyle, it took me a few seconds just to realized about it, (left) if you notice the color of his vest is also brown, (right) the colors of this style are more pastel and lighter making the color look brown

"But in-game he has brown hair!" I can explain this in long answer but I choose not to, there are 2 reasons

I really meant it, the lighting from the shaders in CodeVein is weird, my oc's (Luciel) hair always looks out of place, also I ever download Louis 3D and look up to the one on 3D website and yes, his hair is black

This Barbie is crafty as fuck!

I went to see the new Barbie movie, because I was in the mood for a light-hearted fun movie. As I love every occasion for some dressing-up I wanted to go with a kinda pink outfit too. I wore my patchwork skirt (bought ages ago at a fleamarket and since then repaired countless times) pulled up as a dress. You're meant to wear it as a strapless dress, but I don't like that look and would probably have to replace the elastic first before it would stay up one it's own. So I safety pinned the skirt-dress to a tanktop. I went with matching hot pink felt flower earrings and a hair flower as well. I felt very cute and had fun at the cinema!

10. What’s that one thing that inspired you to make drawing your consistant hobby?

Outside of nature itself lol, videogames and cartoons were also up there. I thought the Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry styles were 'easy' enough for a kid to recreate at the time, which is funny considering they're iconic and hard to recreate characters. As far as the continued hobby goes, it's just much easier to communicate metatextual ideas and memes through visual art than it is to explain things in writing, at least for me. The Mona Lisa's smile makes for many interpretations despite not knowing anything about her.

15. Biggest artist pet peeve?

TAing mellowed me out as far as that goes, the only thing that pisses me off is when artists/patrons gatekeep their genres. It's just unfun for the whole family and actively harms would-be artists in the long run. I also have issues with art teachers that make biased judgements against children trying to use a style they like or struggling to understand, due to it 'distracting from the lesson', because if they bothered to learn anything about them, you can actually use that information to your benefit and remain engaging for the students to learn through that medium. They also need to get better at explaining the 'How and Why' behind those traditional art lessons. For a college student it's pretty clear erasing charcoal is meant to be a lesson on controlling negative space, for a child it feels like a lesson in frustration and wrist smudging.

TL;DR I have more problems with the factory system of artists than I do art... things, itself.
