Put together the frame for the coat rack. Used some cherry and some very simple hand cut dovetails. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

The finish is still drying but it's complete.

I’ve been working on this for so long now, and it’s finally finished!

My previous sewing kit was getting too small and I needed an upgrade, so I started working on the bee cross stitch to incorporate and then came across the patches. I was tossing up which to use and then decided, why not make it double sided?

So after many hours of hand quilting it is finally finished and I now have room for all of my equipment!

Day 57 little close-up here to show the difference between two-strand vs three-strand fill. The eye is 2 strand floss and consistent, very short stitches. The face is 3 strands with longer stitches and more stitch length variation. You’d think 2 vs 3 strands is a small difference, but overall I think it makes for a noticeable if subtle difference in texture.

Concept: The Veins of Distress project was inspired by real events that happened during a time when I was overwhelmed with numerous problems. Being someone with a fragile heart and having struggled with mental health issues like depression for a long time, it has significantly affected my physical health. One of the symptoms I experienced, which caused immense suffering, was severe headaches that radiated down to my molar roots. I want this series of images to convey the feelings I experienced, allowing everyone to understand the pain I endured.

Started wondering how the slide reels were made like. Who did the art? And then I got hit with the urge to create an owlk oc who makes the reels. Not sure what I'd do with them but. It's there. They probably had multible people making them (and all the other art. there's a lot) but what if they had like. A leader of the art department. Oh no! They'd be so sad when they burned the reels! All their hard work:( Maybe they were the one who conviced the others to scan the reels before burning them. Not just for perserving the knowledge (though that was probably how they got everyone else to agree), but because THEY WORKED HARD ON THOSE DAMMIT!
