On tap tonight, three big crockies going, full of goodness! (I secretly want to have four going at once) I had to make more Beast Mode as soon as possible, that one is flying out the door. (Funny Beast Mode story at the end) . . It's nothing like taking raw ingredients like shea, coconut oil, and olive oil and creating "soap magic." (At least that's what I call it) . . I'm a little addicted to hot process soap making. I've done cold process but I enjoy working the soap through saponification/gel phase, something primitive about it (in a good way 😊) . . Storytime: At the last festival I vended a young man took an interest in my Beast Mode soap, unfortunately so did his Dad. It was the last bar on the table so he kindly called "dibs" on the bar before his Dad could say anything. Around 30 minutes after the purchase, I see he had circled back around to my booth again. So I asked him, did he come back to confirm that I wasn't lying and to make sure I didn't sneak and out out a secret stash? He said, "YUP!" Fruit Basket (strawberry/raspberry/cotton candy) again, this time in a body wash. I've been tinkering with my body wash formula and I've found a more natural thickener instead of borax, table salt! I've also replaced the sweet almond oil with organic olive oil for a super gentle wash.
