You knock on the door. Once, twice, thrice. No answer. A grunt escapes your lips and you roll your eyes, repeating the action. Once, twice, thrice. Nothing again. Now a frown takes the place of the smile that used to rest on your face, you know they are in there, you can hear the papers being shuffled around, the tapping of their pen, the shadow of their body as they pass by the door, even faintly the sound of the ice that clinks around their whiskey glass.
You raise your hand to knock again, but before you even have the chance, the door opens. Barely enough for any light to make it through but you see the faint silhouette of Hanji's lips pouting. "You know that when someone doesn't answer, it means they want to be left alone, right?" Their voice is low, almost as if they are making sure to remain quiet to not attract any more unnecessary attention.
"But... it's me.." you respond just as softly, a pout of your own forming, "I'm not like other people."
“y/n…” They begin, moving their glasses from the spot on their face towards the top of their head, pushing their bangs backward in the meantime. Their brown eyes stare at you for what feels like forever, their mind hiding behind an ocean of thoughts and an expression you can’t quite decipher this time around.
They want you to stay, to hold you in their arms as they sit here in the comforting silence of your presence, but instead, they shake their head, trying their best to remove any thoughts of what your warmth would do to them. A heavy sigh makes its way past their lips, the eyebags under their eyes more present than ever as they begin to talk again.
“Please, I’m fine,” they respond. What Hanji fails to realize is that their voice did a slight tremble, not noticeable to anyone else but you know them better than the palm of your own hand. They are the pure representation of your heart beating outside of your chest, so seeing them in such distress is enough to make you act against direct orders, consequences be damned.
“You are not,” you respond. Their office is a mess, their research papers scattered around with drawings and models of flying boats, new weapons, and ways to improve the Survey Corps all around. A thousand and one ideas, some connecting and some just scattered around the wind.
The whiskey bottle that until a few weeks ago rested full to the brim on their bookshelf now finds itself on its last few sips, the curtains are drawn so no amount of light other than the small candles at the edge of their table can exist in the room and you even notice a few shards of broken glass, probably meaning that they have dropped a cup or two, either from exhaustion or from not being able to see in the dark.
“When was the last time you ate anything?” You ask, gently taking the whiskey glass out of their hand. You notice a small blush creeping its way onto their cheeks as their eyes pointedly avoid yours and, by these simple reactions, you can tell it has been a while, “You’re losing weight.”
They try to reach for the glass once more but you shake your head, pulling it further away. Even though they are stronger than you and could easily take it back if they wanted to, they don't. Instead, Hanji leans against their desk, crossing their arms in front of their chest as they let out a heavy sigh. They want to lie, to tell you they are fine, and pretend like nothing is wrong, but before a single false promise about their well-being can make its way past their lips, you speak up again.
“I can tell you haven’t been sleeping,” your voice is soothing, not an ounce of frustration or anger behind it, just plain worry. You take a step closer, fully prepared for another rejection but it doesn’t come this time around, though you still don’t dare take a deep breath until the moment your fingertips brush against their left cheek, just slightly beneath their eyepatch, “you look exhausted.”
“Now that’s just rude!” An exhausted chuckle escapes their lips as they nuzzle their face into your hand, their expression contorting from anguish to a somewhat relaxed one and it causes your heart to nearly stop for a second before between at three times the usual speed, you are convinced they can hear it from where they stand. “I’ll have you know that I look awesome.”
It’s your turn to chuckle, your worries melting away for simply a second before coming back at full force, knowing way too well that redirecting attention and humor have always been Hanji’s favorite ways of avoiding a serious conversation.
“Hanji…” You start, your tone of voice sounding just as exhausted and defeated as theirs. It drags a loud sigh out of their chest, but as their mouth opens to complain, you continue, a begging tone in your voice as your eyes fill with unwashed tears, “Please, just talk to me.”
That look is enough to cause a painful bang to shoot throughout their body, their heart dropping to their stomach with the knowledge that it is their fault that you look this way. So, without even realizing it, they are already taking a couple of steps forward, hands tightly grasping at your hips as they lean their forehead against yours.
“I’ve just been so busy,” they whisper, the broken tone in their voice creates a tight knot in your throat and the sensation only grows stronger as they continue to speak, “Paperwork, meetings, and any free time I have I go to the lab, trying to complete some old experiments I’ve had from years ago. Even if I try to sleep, I just… Lay there, staring at the ceiling, maybe getting two or three hours here and there.”
You sigh, your arms immediately wrapping around their neck as you pull them close. Their eyelashes bat against the skin of your neck as they close their eyes, a shaky breath escaping them as they inhale your scent, focusing on the way your body feels and smells.
At that moment, an idea hits you. Without disturbing the hug, you look around the messy room, quickly taking in the setting before noticing that, for once, their couch rests next to the window, uncluttered and undisturbed.
Reluctantly, you pull away from them and the first thing you can hear is a grunt of disapproval. Once your eyes meet again, their pupils are so big, they could only be compared to a puppy dog that has just discovered steak for the first time, pleading, begging even, “Why’d you do that?”
Without an answer, your hand slides with theirs, fingers lacing and fitting together like pieces of a puzzle. Their palm is slightly wet, though you can’t quite place if it is from the condensation from the whiskey glass they held earlier or if it is from nervous sweats. Regardless, all you can focus on is how warm their presence feels close to you.
You don’t speak, instead, you just guide their body towards the couch, their feet dragging behind you, “what are we doing?” They ask, their eyes already fighting to remain open in a combination of the exhaustion and the fuzzy feeling from being drunk, the comfort you bring them doesn’t help either. They are clearly forcing themselves to stay awake, wanting to spend all of this time with you instead of stubbornly trying to push you away.
“We are not doing anything,” you respond, taking a seat on the couch. Your free hand brushes against the spot next to you and they quickly catch onto what you are hinting, your words finally clicking in their head as they flash you a confused look, “You, on the other hand, are going to sleep for a while.”
Their eyes widen for a second as your words take them by surprise, a small groan of protest making its way past their chapped lips, “mmmmm, noo, I can’t… I have so much work that I need to get done… I don’t... Have time to sleep.”
Carefully, you bring your hand towards the back of their head, pulling the ponytail holder out of their hair to make sure they are more comfortable for the next step, which includes guiding their head down towards your thighs. It doesn’t take much effort nor does Hanji put up much of a fight, their body is completely exhausted after all.
“Mmmm,” they whine, their voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and stubbornness, almost like a child who refuses to lay down for nap time, but once again, they don’t put up a fight, “damn it, how could I ever say no to you?”
“You can’t,” you chuckle, your fingers beginning to comb through the knots in their hair, detangling the strands, your nails gently scratching their scalp while you are at it, “I promise I will be here when you wake up. I’m not going anywhere.”
Your words are soft, carrying so much love that it is almost impossible for Hanji not to melt on the spot. The warmth of your legs combined with the feeling of your fingers going through their hair is finally enough to relax their overly exhausted body, their eyes finally closing and you use your free hand to remove their glasses, hanging it up on the neckline of your shirt.
“Finnneeeee,” Hanji whines once more, turning their body over so their face is buried in your stomach, their slim body now curled into a small ball on the couch and you can’t help but smile at the sight, “but do not let me sleep for more than thirty minutes. An hour, tops.”
You lift your eyes slightly to take a look at the clock on the wall, a gift from Kiyomi to celebrate your relationship. Silently, you take note of the time and look back down at your beloved, a soft, whispered “okay” leaving your lips.
“I’m serious,” Their voice starts sounding more sluggish by the second, their mind already starting to drift off but they fight back sleep for a few extra minutes, just enough to finish the conversation between the two of you, their voice extremely drowsy, “I’ll be mad if you don’t wake me up.”
“I would not dream of doing such a thing,” you respond, unsure if they recognize the mischievous tone in your words or not, but truly hoping that, if they do, they are simply choosing to ignore it. Even so, the way you speak brings them so much comfort, a sense of peace they haven’t felt since becoming commander, “just sleep, my love. I’ll be here.”
The moment Hanji hears you whisper that promise, the certainty that you will be here when they wake up, it’s like a switch flips inside of their mind and they finally allow their body to relax against your touch. Much like a cat, they purr as you continue to run your fingers through their hair, unable to avoid the smile that is now stamped on their lips.
“Thank you, love you,” they whisper, their voice is barely audible and you almost miss it. You don’t even have time to respond before they are completely asleep, the weight of the countless sleepless days finally catching up with their body.
When the first hour passes, you look up from your book, your eyes landing on the clock before making their way down towards Hanji’s face. They look so peaceful, their breathing is so calm and even that it soothes your own worries away and it takes every ounce of your strength not to lay down and nap with them.
The decision to let them continue their slumber is an easy one. Eventually, you notice a small smile that tugs the corner of their lips in their sleep and you can’t help but wonder and hope that they are dreaming of you. Nevertheless, your fingers continue to go through the strands of their hair, even if it makes flipping the pages of your book a bit difficult, you manage to find a solution by placing it down on the armrest of the couch before using your pinky and ring fingers to hold the object down while the remaining digits flip towards the next page.
Another hour goes by and you start to ponder if you should wake them up. Maybe letting them sleep for this long wasn’t such a good idea, especially since you know they have to return to their duties as commander of the Survey Corps, such as continuing their research and sketching plans for the flying boat. But you can see it in their expression, the small specs of the bubbly person they used to be finally showing back up on their features as they sleep, small reminders of the bright light that has saved you from darkness more times than you can count.
You gasp softly when Hanji stirs slightly in your lap, your heart clenching in your chest as you continue to look down at them, scared that you moved too much and it caused them to wake up. Their expression is still undisturbed, almost like a cat that has just found the warmest spot on the window sill and you catch yourself smiling at them. A silly, love-sick smile that only they can bring out of you.
As the third-hour rolls by and you are trying to convince yourself that it is time to wake them up, you hear a knock on the door and your entire body freezes. You find yourself torn by the two options:
1) Do you say something loudly enough for the person on the other side to hear and risk waking Hanji up in a stressful way before throwing them directly into a situation in which they need to be the Commander, and not the bubbly Hanji Zoe you once loved so dearly.
2) You silently hope that the soldier on the other side will either go away soon or open the door quietly. The couch, though it is by the window, still has a perfect view of the front door to their office, so the person would quickly notice the situation and you would be able to calmly wake Hanji at your own pace, without any negative or stressful interactions.
A second, more forceful knock comes and you notice Hanji slowly starting to shift on your lap. The annoyed expression on your face morphs into one of anger and, as the shadow on the door side moves to knock for a third time, you decide to throw a pillow at the surface.
The person stops midway with their movements before their hand slowly comes to rest on the knob, twisting it slightly as the door quietly swings open. In front of you stands a very nervous scout, one of the new recruits, who hasn’t even been able to choose a specialty yet. His hands are trembling and he nearly drops the stack of papers he holds in his grasp, eyes bugging out of his skull as he looks at you and the sleeping figure on your legs.
“P-paperwork… F-for the C-Commander…” His voice is quiet and trembling, almost as if he is stepping directly into a monster’s lair. You realize in this moment just how intimidating Hanji is in everyone else’s perspective but your own and you can’t help but smile. You nod and gesture your head towards their desk, placing your index finger in front of your lips.
“I-it’s from… Instructor S-Shadis,” he says in the quietest of whispers, but you could already tell. Keith Shadis’ ugly handwriting was something you could identify from a mile away if you had to, “r-reports about… T-the ranking c-ceremony.”
“Thank you,” you mouth the words softly, your fingers moving on Hanji’s hair. They look so small and calm, almost like a harmless kitten, a direct contrast to the authoritative figure that can command an entire room with just a single look in their eye.
The boy nods, his trembling legs making their way towards the wooden table and carefully placing the new stack of paper next to the old ones, trying his best to make sure it is neatly organized while desperately avoiding eye contact with you. He does a quick salute towards you before eagerly exiting the room and you can nearly hear his breath of relief once he is out of sight, outside the closed doors.
You shake your head before looking down at Hanji once more to see a smile on their face. You roll your eyes, “how long have you been awake for?”
The smile on their face grows bigger, their eyes opening slowly to look at you, still a blurry image from the lack of their glasses but still enough for their heart to beat slightly faster, “since the first knock.” Of course, you think to yourself, “How long was I asleep for?”
You look at the clock, and a part of you wants to lie, say it’s only been thirty minutes or so but when you look out the window, you realize the sun has already started to set, making it impossible for such a thing to be even remotely believable. You sigh again.
“Around three hours…” You respond in a sheepish voice, avoiding their gaze. Immediately, Hanji sits up, placing their glasses above the bridge of their nose and looking at the clock on the wall. Once they look back at you, you can see the slightly irritated expression on their face and you feel like you could just shrink and disappear under such a harsh gaze.
“y/n, you promised!” They blur out and you can tell it isn’t anger or irritation… It’s an intense pile of anxiety, hidden behind the harsh facade they attempt to put up. They’re scared that something went wrong in the period they have been sleeping, like the Survey Corps might have fallen apart and they were doing something so useless such as taking a nap. A single thought is going through their mind, those words they have been chanting like a mantra since the fateful day in Shiganshina.
Erwin Would Never.
You stand up a mere second after them, watching closely as their hands grip the edges of the desk and their head hangs low, hips tilted forward in a desperate attempt to hold themselves upright. It breaks your heart to see them like this and, no matter how much you agree with Erwin that Hanji should be the next Commander, you can’t forgive him for leaving such a massive responsibility on their shoulders.
So your arms wrap around their waist, your cheek finding a perfect spot in the area between their shoulder blades. You nuzzle your face against their vest, nearly purring as you do. The smell of Hanji’s skin, mixed with a little bit of sweat as a result of their nap awakens the butterflies in your stomach and the only thing able to bring you out of your thoughts is the broken sound of their voice.
“How long were you going to let me sleep for?” They whisper, a hint of desperation behind their tone and you notice they are shaking. You tighten your grip around them.
“For as long as you needed,” you respond and, at the sound of their quiet sob, your heart shatters. “You haven’t been eating or sleeping, you are drinking in the middle of the day and, well, you are pulling away from me.”
With a long sigh, they turn around, a defeated expression on their face, “Y/n, I’m a mess. I’ve always been a mess. I’m always overthinking things, I’m mean, I’m stubborn, please. I need to catch up on my work, it’s so much paperwork and it just keeps piling up…”
“Hanji, you’re spiraling,” you whisper, fingertips almost featherlike as they brush against their arm. You hope and pray and nearly fall to your knees begging that they will listen to your voice, that they will give you time to make your case and prove that they are so much more than anything they are thinking, but they continue.
“Erwin’s one mistake was making someone like me the commander,” they whisper in the most defeated tone you have ever heard. It’s like something in your mind snaps and you immediately grab a hold of their wrist, flipping them around before pressing your body against theirs on the table.
“Now you listen to me and you listen good,” your voice is stern in a way Hanji had never heard before, it’s filled with pain, heartache, and still so much love, “Erwin wouldn’t have made you Commander if he didn’t think you would be a perfect choice. And I agree.”
Hanji wants to protest, they want to contradict you but the desperate look in your eyes convinces them to remain silent. Instead, they focus all of their attention on your words, into the amount of effort it takes you not to break into tears as you listen to their self-deprecating words, the doubt in their mind. They focus on the way your lips move and how desperately they want to kiss you.
“You are the reason why we were able to eradicate titans outside the wall, you created the thunder spears that were enough to scare off the armored titan,” you continue, the trembling in your hands is so intense you can barely contain your grip on them but you don’t let go nevertheless, “Moblit sacrificed himself for you because he believed you could guide us towards the world outside the walls. Erwin entrusted the Survey Corps to you because you are the most brilliant person any of us has ever seen. Please, just… Tell me you at least believe me.”
They don’t respond, not because they don’t want to, but because their voice won’t come out. It’s as if their brain has lost connection with their vocal chords and all they can focus on is the tears that threaten to fall from your eyes.
So in one swift move, Hanji grabs a hold of your wrist and immediately switches places with you. You can’t help but yelp quietly, especially when you feel their hands grasping at the back of your thighs as they lift you. Your hands reach behind you, carefully assessing the area while trying not to mix any of their paperwork, but Hanji doesn’t have a single care in the world that isn’t you at this moment.
Their eyes hungrily stare at your lips and, with a silent nod of their head, you push away all the papers that were once so neatly organized on their desk. Once you are sitting down and your legs wrap around their waist, Hanji wastes no time in sealing their lips with yours, a delighted hum escaping your body once they do.
You wrap your arms around their neck, allowing your fingers to venture through the messy strands of their hair. Their fingers dig into your hips, strong enough to nearly leave a few bruises but neither of you care, the need you have for each other overwhelms any and every other one of your senses.
Their tongue slowly glides on your lower lip before they gently take it in between their teeth, pulling the skin towards them. After a few seconds, they let go and immediately begin to silently beg for entrance, using the tip of their tongue to nudge your lips apart and it doesn’t take you long to indulge.
They pull you closer to themselves, your bodies pressed together without a single inch of free space as they hold you, nearly afraid that you might disappear the second they loosen their grip. It’s the first time you have kissed in what feels like forever, even if it has been just a few weeks.
You can’t help but focus on the taste of whiskey in their mouth, it’s completely different from anything ever made inside the Walls. It nearly tastes “expensive”, for the lack of a better word. It’s been hours since they have last taken a sip and the flavor is still so vivid on their tongue. So much so that it nearly burns once your saliva begins mixing.
It’s only when the need for air becomes unbearable that the two of you pull away, a small string of saliva connecting your bodies. You run your tongue over your lip, breaking that connection and still getting one last taste of them. The sight causes a shiver to run down Hanji’s spine and they smile, gently placing their forehead against yours.
“I needed that,” they whisper, a smile stamped across their face and you nod, “I’m sorry for pushing you away, I’m just… Having a lot of big feelings that I couldn’t express but I have you now.”
“It’s okay, just don’t forget that I am here for and with you, okay?” You whisper back in a love-filled voice and they smile once more, nodding their head as their grip around you tightens ever so slightly, “You still taste like home.”
“Yeah? And what does that taste like?” They chuckle, nuzzling their nose against yours, enough that you can feel their glasses against your face.
“Like expensive whiskey,” you respond and Hanji laughs, the sound you’ve missed most these past few weeks and you are reminded yet again that home is whatever, wherever and whenever you are with them. No matter what.

ꨄ Plug!Eren fucks his innocent girlfriend.
EREN YEAGER was a well-known dealer in the area. a tall, mysterious, often hot-headed drug dealer — someone you definitely wouldn’t wanna mess with unless you planned on getting shot.
so, when you, a perfect little pink princess angel was seen with eren’s tattooed arm around your shoulders and your bag in his hand — everyone was shocked to say the least.
you were pretty, quiet, intelligent, came from a good family background, never missed a day of college or any homework, never smoked or did drugs, and the only alcohol you’d ever had was a sip of your mother’s gin & tonic and you hated it.
you were the complete opposite to eren.
you were innocent.
but somehow you were drawn to him.
you had met at a party your friend mikasa dragged you too — someone he’d known from childhood and you bonded over your mutual friend. eren knew he liked you from the moment he set eyes on your uncomfortable frame amongst your drunk and high friends at the party. you got on very well much to eren’s surprise and he vowed from that moment on to protect you no matter what.
so, you hung out more & more and you grew to love each other. eren asked you to be his girlfriend at a fancy dinner — a pretty bracelet in a velvet box being accompanied by the sweet words, bringing tears to your eyes as you couldn’t help but kiss his face as you cried against him, whispering ‘yes’ a thousand times as you covered him in your lipstick.
you cherished eren and treated him with the utmost kindness and respect a man deserved. you always put him first and devoted your life to making sure he was happy. and eren protected you with his life — literally. he would take a bullet to the brain for you, not caring that he’d never wake up again, if only you were happy and safe. you were the only woman he’d ever truly loved, and therefore he never wanted anything bad to ever happen to you. n he spoilt you like a princess, his drug money making sure your nails were never bare, as long as he could pick the design here and there, and your hair looked freshly done and perfect and any outfit or meal you wanted was paid for by him.
eren never pushed you into anything, he knew where you stood with his life and what he did, but he knew you’d never stop him from making his money the way he did. he knew you hated that he sold & did drugs but he reassured you with his life that he would never ever put you in danger or make you unhappy. he’d give it up if you were genuinely upset about it — but he knew you weren’t that petty to make him change his life that much just for you.
he also never pushed you to like his friends — who had the same values as him. so, when you met them all for the first time, you could tell you were definitely the elephant in the room, as a little princess like you stood out amongst all the drugs user thugs themselves.
“ guys, this my girl i’ve been tellin’ you ‘bout.” eren introduced, a sweet smirk on his face, as he smiled down at you, arm around your waist as you stood before a few of his friends.
smoke filled the air as they all smoked their individual joints, all in similar dress to eren and all tatted up — you, in a short, pretty pink dress, frilly socks and comfy trainers and your hair in a high ponytail held together by a pink scrunchie.
“ hi, nice to meet you.” you smiled sweetly, waving your manicured hand, eren smiling as he caught a glimpse of the initial ‘E’ on your ring finger.
one day he’d convince you to get it tatted — not yet though.
connie was the first to speak, standing up, brushing the ash off his jeans to force his hand into yours in a handshake, “nice to meet ya, pretty, ‘m connie. we’ve heard a lotta ‘bout you.”
“watch it” eren warned, shooting connie a glare at the compliment he weaved into his words.
connie only chuckled, retreating back to his seat as you giggled quietly at eren’s possessiveness.
next to greet you was a tall, mullet-headed man named jean who only offered a nod and a quiet hello — someone you knew eren had had issues with in the past and knew not to overstep the line when it came to his girl. after jean came reiner, a muscular blonde who was the sweetest of the bunch.
“nice to meet you — i hear you’re making our eren very happy.” he smiled, blowing smoke from between his pink lips.
“i hope so.” you mumbled nervously, “i love him a lot.”
eren could’ve fallen to his knees and cried at the way you looked up at him with such pure adoration and devotion in your eyes after saying the sweetest words any girl had ever said about him.
“y’know you do, baby.” eren spoke, pressing a kiss to the side of your head.
“you’re not his usual type so i am surprised.”
“shut ya fucking mouth, kirstein.” you nearly flinched at the pure hatred in eren’s voice as his head snapped towards jean who only smirked evilly.
“what? a man’s not allowed to speak the truth anymore, or ‘sum?” jean laughed, “no offence, sweetheart, but yeager usually goes for more..experienced bitches, y’know?”
connie kissed his teeth loudly as reiner sighed, knowing exactly what was coming. a frown appeared on your face as jean’s words hit your ears, feeling suddenly uncomfortable at jean’s insinuation.
“so, just don’t get too comfortable, darlin’, cuz he’s likely to leave ya for some other bitch that actually knows how ta act her age.”
“i’d shut up, kirstein.” connie warned, a knowing smile on his face as if he was enjoying this.
you could feel eren was tense from how his hand gripped your waist and how you could hear him grinding his teeth together in anger.
you hated seeing eren like that. you just wanted him to be happy.
“well i’m sorry, jean, b-but eren loves me and me only just as i am and that’s not going to change so you’ll just h-have to get used to it.”
your heart hammered in your chest as adrenaline flowed through your veins — swallowing thickly as the words left your dry throat. your hand flew to eren’s against your waist as you gripped his fingers, reminding him that you were there with him.
jean’s face dropped as he expected eren to give him a piece of his mind — he wasn’t expecting your shaky voice to greet his ears.
eren, though, could’ve cum on the spot. you, defending him against horse-face…? jeeeesus that was fucking good to hear.
“daaaaaamn, kirstein, get told you asshole.” connie laughed, slapping his knee as reiner smiled against the joint between his lips.
jean kissed his teeth, “man fuck you.”
“nah fuck you, bro” connie fought back, “bein’ nasty to eren’s girl for no damn reason, fuckin’ cunt.”
“oh shut ya fuckin’ mouth, springer — “
“go wait in the car for me, sweetheart.” eren whispered down at you, his voice taking over your brain from the boys argument, his large hand cupping your cheek lovingly as he slid his car keys into your petite hand.
you nodded and did as he asked, blocking out the argument as you retreated out the room, offering reiner a polite, yet awkward smile. you knew trouble was underway as eren’s name being called in desperation muffled through the walls of connie’s apartment as you hurried down the stairs.
eren often got like that if you were disrespected by anyone. didn’t matter if he was in the room, if he knew them or not, if the person who said it was online or if they were 1000 miles away — eren had to fuck them up until they were on the brink of death for upsetting his perfect girl.
you had waited in his obnoxiously big mercedes for what felt like half an hour as you anxiously picked at your nails, your eyes glancing down at his initial — worry filling your tummy. but, alas, your boyfriend emerged from the apartment complex in a state you weren’t surprised at.
sweaty, flushed cheeks, strands of hair flying from his bun, bruised and bloody knuckles and chest heaving angrily.
“‘rennie.” you whispered as he flung himself into the car, slamming the door. your sweet, loving hands coming to touch his cheek.
if it were anyone else, eren would’ve flipped his lid at anyone touching him. but you? no. he craved your touch right now. more than anything. i mean he was practically melting at the touch of your small palm on his face.
he turned his head to press a long, loving kiss to the palm of your hand, eyes closed as if to savour the feeling of your skin on his lips.
“‘m sorry for keepin’ you, baby.” eren whispered, quickly turning on the ignition and pulling out of the parking space, “let’s go home, yeah?”
you merely nodded, offering him a reassuring smile as he drove away, slightly more erratic than normal due to his heightened mood — but he knew not to take it too far as you were in the car with him. as you know, he’d never ever put you in danger.
eren remained in a mood for the rest of the day. never showing it fully to you as to not upset you, but you could tell he was still bothered by what jean had said.
“eren?”
“wassup, beautiful” eren’s monotone voice filled your ears as you watched him from across the dinner table in his dining room. he even looked perfect eating the chinese takeout he’d bought you both.
“what happened earlier?”
eren tensed up again. the memories of the afternoon crept up his brain, “why, baby?”
“please, honey.” you pouted, instantly breaking down his guard at your perfect face, “i wanna know.”
eren sighed, reaching over to tug at your jutted out bottom lip, “can’t ever say no to you, mama, jesus.”
you smiled slightly against his finger, watching as he let his fork drop into the cardboard box full of noodles, running a hand through his hair.
“well i beat the shit outta him. broke his nose or ‘sum i think, i really don’t care.”
“eren!”
eren kissed his teeth, leaning back in his chair, “what? he fuckin’ deserved it.”
“eren yeager.” you huffed, crossing your arms over your chest, frowning, not knowing eren secretly enjoyed the way you got so protective of him.
“shiiit, full name n’ all, now ‘m in trouble, ma, huh?” he smirked, his golden grills flashing at you.
“yes, ‘ren, he’s your friend.” you whined, feeling to blame for your boyfriends antics.
“nah he’s not.” eren scowled, returning to his food nonchalantly despite the topic of conversation, “especially not if he talks ‘bout you like that.”
you sighed, pushing at your food with your fork, pouting slightly, still feeling guilty.
“baby, ‘m sorry i’m not like the other girls you’ve dated.”
uh oh! shouldn’t have said that!
eren threw his fork to the table, startling you slightly as he slid his chair quickly towards you — forcing you into a feverish kiss, taking you by surprise. eren’s large hands grasped desperately at your face, his lips moulding against yours as he kissed you with the most passion and love you’d ever experienced.
“—‘nngh’ — ‘rennie!—giggle—stop!—hah!” your words struggled to come out as eren kissed from your lips to your nose to your cheeks, eyes forehead and chin.
“don’t you ever say that again, ma, i mean it.” eren warned, suddenly serious as he finally pulled away looking you dead in the eyes, “you. are perfect. and nothin’ like those bitches thank fucking jesus lord. they ruined me, made me half the fuckin’ man i am. you changed me you fixed me you are the one for me because you are you, baby, y’get me?”
you couldn’t help but smile against his hands, your cheeks squishing slightly against him as you couldn’t contain your grin, “‘rennie, you mean that?”
“more than anything in th’fuckin’ world.”
and he sure as hell proved that!
“..nnngh—ugnnnh! fuuuck, ‘rennie!”
eren laughed loudly, pulling back from between your thighs at the sound of his name being called, slick covering his lips and chin, as you sat up on your elbows, arms shaking.
currently, he had you on your back on his bed, completely butt ass naked like the day you were born, and his tongue working wonders on your clit. you’d already cum twice and he was trying to force a third out of you.
“‘wassup, baby?”
“— ‘ren, hah — no-no more — nnhuuugh.” your whines of pleasure and fatigue only stirring him on as he jutted against the bed frame in his boxers, now feeling awfully tight against his throbbing cock.
“please, mama, one more for ‘rennie, please? y’were such a good girl for me today baby. standing up to that fuckin’ prick — makin’ ‘rennie s’proud of you. gotta reward m’ baby, yeah?”
you whined once more, his words hitting you straight in the core as you fell back onto your back, chest heaving.
eren took that as a yes — his tongue resuming its mission your aching clit, his ring clad hands gripping at your pudgy thighs as you cried out, your legs instinctively clamping around his head at the over stimulation.
eren flicked the tip of his tongue continuously over your clit, pleasuring the swollen nub, occasionally licking long strips or sucking on it, earning louder moans of intense pleasure from your plump lips. eren ate pussy good — that was one of the first things you learnt about him, feeling excited you had him all to yourself but secretly annoyed other girls got to enjoy this before you.
but he was yours now so it didn’t matter.
eren didn’t have to wait long until you were cumming again, legs nearly crushing his skull as you shook against him, tongue lapping at your clit at record speed as you whined his name loudly, bucking your hips up to reach your third orgasm.
“fuck fuck fuck, ‘rennie — cummin’, ‘m cummin’, baby, fuck!”
“yeah, that’s it, princess, give it to me. give it to ‘rennie, fuckin’ cum for me.” eren whispered, his fingers rubbing swift circles on your nub as your third orgasm ripped through you.
eren grew harder and harder in his uncomfortably tight boxers as you creamed all over his tongue, whining and panting as the overstimulation grew. as you came down from your high, you kicked eren away from your pulsating sex as he lapped up the cum that dribbled out of you, fatigue washing over you.
but eren wasn’t done with you just yet.
kneeling on the bed, eren slotted himself between your open legs as he pulled his achingly hard cock free from his briefs, both of you watching as it bobbed between your thighs lewdly. eren wasn’t small at all — a humble 8 inches and girth always made your ability to walk be ripped away from you.
“gonna fuck you so good, mama. ya such a good girl f’me, deserve to take this big dick, hm?”
you could only whine as words failed your sex-drunk mind, clit twitching as eren’s mushroom-shaped tip nudged the abused nub. he gathered your ever-increasing slick over his hot length, heart pounding as he pushed a leg further up to his shoulder.
“ya ready, sweetheart?”
this wasn’t a question, this was a warning. eren did this to make sure you knew his desperate monster of a cock was about to destroy your insides.
“mmm.” you nodded, biting your lip, anticipation eating you alive.
eren bit back a moan as he pushed the tip past your drooling lips into your tight gummy walls — a loud whine leaving your lips, only stirring eren on.
“jeeeesus, fuck, baby.” eren groaned, throwing his head back as he pushed further inside you, the sheer girth of his fat cock stretching you open more n more with each inch.
eren was only getting harder n harder as you panted and whined beneath him, your pretty chest clad in a white lacy bra rising and falling quickly as he filled you up.
eren loved lookin at you while he fucked you. sure he loved seeing your ass clap back onto his dick while he fucked you from behind — but watching your gorgeous face contort into expressions of pleasure while he fucked you dumb made him feral.
eren wasted no time — wanting nothing more than for you to feel good for your amazing act of service to him today. he dragged himself slowly from your wet cunt, hissing at the tightness that was your pussy that engulfed him, only leaving his throbbing tip inside.
“please ‘rennie.”
that was enough for eren. one hand gripped your hip and the other on your levitated thigh as he began an unholy pace. your back arched off the bed as eren’s cock slammed in and out of your sloppy pussy — the sound of your wetness filling the air like a dirty porn video, only stirring eren on as his mouth fell open at the feeling of your clenching hole squeezing him just the way he liked. your legs were tensed as your eyes squeezed shut; pleasure consuming your body as eren fucked you senseless, grunting to himself as he thoroughly enjoyed you.
“such a good girl f’me, aren’t ya, princess?” eren panted, turning to plant hot, open mouthed kisses against your ankle as he fucked you open — chest heaving in arousal as you cried out louder at his praise.
“e-eren!” you cried, eyes shooting open as his fingers landed on your overstimulated clit, rubbing circles on his twitching nub, coaxing another orgasm outta you, shooting up from the bed.
eren’s large hand landed from your waist to your neck — grasping your throat in a chokehold and shoving you back down onto the bed, knocking the wind out of your lungs, “don’t you fuckin’ dare try and stop me.” he warned “you’ve been such a good girl all day baby don’t ruin it now. let rennie make ya cum one more time yeah?”
“rennieeee, can’t. i can’t, b-baby, can’t cum anymore. ‘s-sensitive.” you whined, trying to ignore how good it felt as his cock bullied your g-spot and thumb rubbing dangerously slow circles on your clit.
eren laughed darkly, his pornographic pace never faltering as his blown out, fucked out eyes flicked from your bodies connecting to your lewd face, “you wanna cum with rennie though, right?”
you nodded quickly — loving nothing more than feeling him stuff you full of cum while you orgasmed around him.
“then shut ya bitch mouth n take it.”
with a squeak of agreement, eren’s hand slipped from your throat to your tits — pulling one out manhandling it, earning himself some pretty moans as he rolled your nipple between his fingers.
“fuckin’ c’mere, mama.” eren spoke, tossing another leg over his shoulder, practically folding you in half as he pushed you further onto the bed, now leaning over your fucked out body.
“aaaahnnng! fuck, fuck fuck! eren — eren, fuck, eren!”
your whines only granted eren all the confirmation he needed that he was doin you good as he pushed his cock further into you — his tip kissing your cervix.
“jeeeeesus,” eren panted, throwing his head back at the new angle, “fuckin’ takin this dick so good, mama”
“yeah, yeah, yeahhnhhggh!” you were practically brainless by the time eren had even started his new pace, his cock bullying its way into you as your eyes practiced hardcore R.E.M as they rolled back and all over the place.
eren’s hips snapped back and forth against the plush of your ass and gripped your waist — forcing you down onto his cock harder as he fucked you. his bun was falling loose as strands stuck to the sweat on his forehead, bottom lip between his teeth flashin his grills as his eyebrows twitched.
eren pushed his cock deeper as you whined with every thrust, blabbering his name as tears slipped from your eyes at the pure pleasure your eren was bringing you — big bad eren making you feel so good behind closed doors!
eren’s hand resumed its tortuous work against your clit as he grunted against you, flicking your nub back forth.
“doin’ so good, babygirl, fuckin’ can’t wait to nut in this good girl pussy.”
“oouuuugh ‘rennieeeeuuugg!”
“yeah, tell me ‘bout it mama, feels good, yea?” eren teased, slamming his now twitching cock into your slobbering pussy — his dick throbbing in arousal at the way you’d clench around him and then a milky white ring of your cream would form around the base of his cock, “ya like it when rennie talks you through it, hm? dirty girl.”
“yes, ‘rennie! yes, ‘rennie! yes, ‘rennie!”
eren laughed darkly as he watched your eyes nearly turn towards each other as you blabbered loudly, drool now falling from your lips — he just loves fuckin’ you dumb!
“fuck, baby, gunna cum,” eren mumbled, hips twitching slightly as he neared his finish, “where y’want me, sweetheart?”
“inside!”
“oh, fuck.”
eren didn’t need much more to be said before his hips stilled as he spilled his load inside you. the feeling of eren fucking his cum back inside you as his hips twitched forwards as he came, sent you the edge as well, manicured toes curling and a loud cry of pleasure being released as you came around him. eren’s head fell forward against your chest as you clamped down on his sensitive cock — forcing another spurt of cum to shoot inside you along with his fat load.
you both laid in silence for a few more seconds before eren slowly sat up, letting his softening cock slip out of your warm heaven — smirking proudly as a dollop of his cum dripped from your pussy which clenched around nothing.
“did so good f’me, beautiful.” eren whispered, reaching down to rub gentle, apologetic circles to your bruised hips and a sweet, loving kiss to your temple, his heart hammering in his chest from your adorably tired face.
“i love you, ‘rennie.” you mumbled, curling up in his sweaty sheets — which you knew he’d be changing for you in a few minutes as he retreated towards the bathroom to grab a warm washcloth to clean you with.
“i love you more, princess.”

every time someone writes my baby jean kirstein as a jerk fuck boy, cheater, toxic, disrespectful to women and extremely popular, an angel loses his wings; because he would literally be the og yearner, he's a big loser who thinks he's a popular guy, bro could never use women, he would be a hopeless romantic, a soft spoken man, nervous around the girl he likes, respectful, overprotective, he would always put the person he loves first, probably the best boyfriend/husband in this world.

You'll never see Hange at more peace than when they're slurping the fuck out of your clit.
You're a fucking mess right now. It's been hours. And this hasn't been light work, okay. Head from Hange is never light work.
They know your body so well it's scary. That plus the fact they didn't play around when it came to eating only made things worse for you. Every suckle of your clit, every kiss to your slit was for a reason. To get you to cum on their tongue.
No one else could make you cum as hard or as many yes as Hange could. Let this be someone else and you'd probably be sitting here bored out of your mind. But Hange had made you cum at least five times already...and they were aiming for a sixth.
Your body was shining with sweat, and the air around you two smelled of sex. You felt sticky everywhere, but especially between your legs.
Hange really knew how to make a mess out of you.
Tears pricked at your eyes as you sat up on your elbows, eyes looking at the Commander between your legs. "Baby i-", you want to say something, beg for a break. The plea is hot on your tongue
But they look so perfect right now. Life has just been so stressful on them lately. It broke your heart to see them forgetting to eat and sleep.
They honestly looked more relaxed than ever right now. Eye shut as their strong hands press your knees to your chest, keeping you in place so you have not even a hope of escaping. Their tongue is laving at your sensitive core. Hange's jaw had to be aching by now. But you'd never be able to tell, they looked like they were in heaven servicing an angel.
When Hange hears your voice they shake themselves out of their daze, resting their cheek on the plush fat of your thighs. Deep brown eyes peer up at you.
They were just as messy as your cunt, a filthy mixture of your juices and their spit running down their chin. Not that they really cared. They just wanted you to stop talking so they could get back to eating.
"....you were saying sweetie?" They speak, and Hange's voice is rough and low. Sending a deep shiver down your spine.
You blinked back the tears daring to fall past your lashes sucking up your complaint. If a bit of overstimulation would help Hange calm down, you'd sit here all night.
"Nothing baby....." you say, one of your shaky hands coming to card through their mop of brown hair. Gently, you push them back to your slit, watching as they eagerly get back to eating, easily getting a good rhythm again.
".... Just keep eating"

in the a.m. | hange zoë

➳ categories: college au, female reader ➳ warnings: nsfw (top hange, afab reader, cunnilingus) ➳ word count: 1.8k
➳ summary: Hange wakes up next to a pretty girl in bed.
➳ notes: made in the A.M. was my favorite one direction album so why not use it as a fic title lolol ➳ cross-posted on ao3
Hange awakens to a dark room when a cool breeze glides over their skin. As they stare into nothingness, they reach over to their bedside table, feeling for their cellphone to check the time.
Their mobile lights up. Through blurry eyes, Hange tries to make out the words that flash on the screen.
'4:34 AM'.
They put the device back down. They pull themselves to a seated position on their bed, then reach out to the bedside table once more to turn on a lamp.
Their corner of the room illuminates a faint orange glow. Hange leans on the headboard, still half-awake, before noticing the presence that had been beside them all along.
You sleep soundly with your body turned to them, strands of hair partly covering your face. You're bare naked under the sheets just like them, the sight of your shape and the cleavage of your breasts serving as gentle reminders of last night's events. While the grogginess remains, Hange vividly remembers how the two of you got yourselves into this situation—from making out after a failed tutorial attempt to stumbling over to the bed, from undressing you swiftly to fucking you roughly, they remember it all too well.
It doesn't take long for you to stir awake, sensing the brightness of the lamp that disturbs your peace. When you open your eyes, the first thing you see is Hange's naked torso before averting your gaze to their face.
Hange pats your head, then plays with your hair.
"What time is it?"
"Around quarter to five," they say. You snuggle into Hange's pillow as they continue their gentle touches. "How's your body?"
"Probably sore." You shrug. "I won't know unless I move, but... you weren't the nicest, you know?"
Hange chuckles as an answer. They can't necessarily apologize since you enjoyed it so much and it was your incessant begging that drove them to that degree. It was a night that you two had always looked forward to, so all sores were deeply wanted.
"Get some sleep." You shake your head. "No? Class doesn't start until 10."
"But why are you up?" You pull yourself to a seated position, covering your chest with the blanket. Hange's hand falls from your head to your shoulder, their hand warm on your bare skin.
"Just woke up randomly, that's all," they say. It's the truth—their body clock has been shitty since midterms season, and as much as they want to keep it secret, the night with you has been the longest time they've slept in months.
You lean on the headboard, the blanket uncovering your feet and Hange's as you pull the sheet up to your face. When you move your body, you feel a sore on your thighs, arms, and back that triggers a gasp of pain. Memories flood your head, prompting a shyness from you that shouldn't even be there to begin with. Hange is no stranger, but damn it, why is it so nerve-wracking to be around them?
They notice your predicament. After all, that's what they always do; scientists have an eye for detail and Hange is not far off from that archetype. Their intelligence surpasses many others' and it so happens that they're bright in the romance department as well. They have it all—god, they have it all—which makes them so irresistible.
They can make you crumble in a matter of seconds, like now.
"Baby."
Their hand slides to your jaw, then your cheek, which they caress with a finger. Your stomach turns in excitement, but you suppress a reaction.
Baby, really? It's not your favorite nickname, but it's endearing when it comes from Hange. They're addicting, so addicting.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" They ask.
"Just a bit," you admit. Hange turns on their side to face you, placing a hand on your jaw before seductively tracing random patterns on your skin. Your core clenches. You feel it coming—Hange's in the mood for it, and you would be lying if you said you weren't, too. "Hange…"
"I can help you soothe that."
Leaning into their hand, you decide to roll over to their side, inevitably feeling the ache in your legs. Hange wraps an arm around you and hoists you on top of them, then instructs you to straddle their waist. Their mind goes numb upon watching the sheet fall off your body, your skin so beautiful and tits so tight.
Hange kisses you. You respond with a kiss back, moaning softly into their mouth to let them know you're in for more. When they come back for another kiss, you dodge their lips to attack their neck, a move that effectively surprises them that they tighten their grip on your waist, dragging your body closer to theirs.
A prideful smirk laces your kisses, a trail beginning from their jaw down to their clavicle, which Hange judges is enough free control as they peel your lips away before you could go down any further. They kiss you instead to put you back in your place, regaining their control before they fuck you—but you grind down on them in response, and an idea comes to mind.
"It would be bad to stuff you again since you're already sore enough," they pause in between a heated kiss and their eyes go down at your pussy, a sight that causes them to smirk, "but you can always sit on my face?"
Last night, Hange didn't bother eating you out once they had their mind settled on splitting you apart on their strap, but they're sure to taste you this time around. They tap your hips and motion for you to lift your legs, so that they could scoot down the bed and position themselves under your sore pussy and get to tasting you. Embarrassment settles on your cheeks as you look down at Hange, their hungry eyes peering up at you.
"Come on, sit on my face." Their arms wrap around your thighs and they tug your limbs so you could get closer to them, but you resist. "What's the matter?"
"I-I just—" Hange waits patiently, a reaction that relieves you. "How, um, how will you breathe?"
They smirk. You probably never had your pussy eaten out before or you simply never had ridden anyone else like this. Either way, it's a fair question, Hange thinks, since they most likely wouldn't be able to breathe that well anyway, and it would be a bad idea to freak you out mid-intercourse.
"It's part of the experience, my dear," they say. "Anyway, you don't have to worry. You got me, right?"
You nod. Hange promises to signal you if they ever want you off of them, and with no worries holding you back, you sink into their awaiting tongue.
A sigh passes your lips upon feeling their warmth. Hange takes it slow at first, giving a few licks to test the waters, before digging right in and pressing their face into your pussy harder. Their tongue digs into your entrance every so often in a rhythmic manner before gliding it across your dripping pussy to swill your juices. Hange repeats the action in a way that drives you crazy, the rhythm so good that you don't want it to stop.
You gently rock your hips into their face when their nose hits your clit, wanting to relieve the strained feeling and lack of touch in the area. Hange notices your eagerness and uses one hand to spread your legs wider. You obey out of pleasure. Their lips detach from your hole to suck on your clit, and you get lost in the feeling once again. Hange is soft at it before becoming rougher, hungrier, and more passionate, something reminiscent of last night's events when they fucked you ruthlessly into the bed.
Their two hands anchoring your thighs move closer to your cunt with light touches. Hange stretches the skin on your inner thighs as their tongue moves in between your clit and your opening. An urge to cum emerges in your gut, but you resist.
"Fuck, fuck me like that," you beg in a low tone, eyes shut tight as a response to their work on your cunt. You imagine the different other things that Hange could do to your pussy, which help your building orgasm. "Oh god, you're crazy."
With a sly grin, they tap on your thigh to catch your attention. You look down at Hange whose mouth and nose drip of slick. Maintaining eye contact, you watch them slightly withdraw their head from your cunt before spitting on your wet hole and spreading apart your lips with an experimental touch. Hange accepts your moaning as a sign to continue, so they waste no time mixing their spit into your cum to create something they could lap up again.
Your hands clutch free strands of Hange's hair as they begin yet another rhythm on your hole. You follow them with the rocking of your hips, riding what you can in a needy attempt to bring back the pleasure of release at the pit of your stomach.
Hange eats you so good—"so fucking good, Hange"—that you inevitably bounce on their tongue following the rhythm they created. You feel the heat at your stomach again, the urge to orgasm coming back quickly as you bounce hotly on them. With each bounce, your hands maneuver on their hair to tighten your grip on it while your mouth opens to a string of curses: "fuck, fuck— Hange, Hange—"
"Good— good girl," they say in between bounces. Hange stills you seconds later so they could focus on your pussy, their tongue working quickly to send you over the edge.
You crumble in a matter of seconds. Hange notes the gasp you let out as a sign of your orgasm. They feel your warm cum on their tongue and another wave of gentle rocking of your hips. They allow you to ride through your release, while they catch their breath.
You get off them once you've come down. Hange runs a hand through their hair and covers their eyes with the other.
Leaning toward them, you kiss them by surprise, uncaring of the mess on their lips. Hange groans when you swipe your tongue on their bottom lip to taste your juice. They pull you closer to them, only breaking the kiss once it's hard to breathe.
They wipe their mouth with the back of their hand, taking a mental note to shower before going back to bed. You rest your head on their chest.
"What's one thing you can't do, Hange Zoë?" They chuckle. They tidy your hair and pat their work.
"I hope you feel better," they respond. You can imagine the smirk dancing across their lips as they refer to last night's sores. You nod weakly. "I think I'm going to clean up. Are you coming?"
You come with them in the shower, after which you get back to bed quickly. Hange promises to wake you in a few hours and you drift off to sleep in their arms.

You wearing someone else’s cologne (but it’s actually just one they don’t wear)
Ft: Eren, Armin, Jean, Levi, and Hanji
Some suggestive themes so MDNI
Eren
- You come out of your shared bedroom and walk past Eren
- He instantly smells the cologne and sees red
- He prefers musky smells, so why on earth do you smell like that?
- He grabs your wrist. Not too hard, but hard enough for you to turn around and ask him what’s wrong
- “Whose cologne is that?”
- You are instantly confused
- “Don’t play dumb, (Y/N). Whose cologne is that?”
- “Eren. I bought this for you for your birthday.”
- He instantly feels embarrassed
- “Oh… Sorry…”
- “But I do like how jealous you got over it.” You say, wrapping your arms around his waist
- “What can I say, sweetie?” Eren says. “I don’t like the thought of anyone else getting to touch you.”
- “You’re the only one who would do it right anyway.” You say
- He instantly throws you over his shoulder to show you just how right you are
Armin
- Armin always waits for you to get up before he leaves for work
- He’s never been late and he loves seeing your face in the morning
- But today he had to go in super early thanks to a batch of new people who need to be trained
- He was absolutely heart broken having to leave without getting his goodbye kiss
- But then he had an idea so he eagerly texts you
- “Hey, how about we meet up for lunch at your favourite restaurant? It can be my apology for not being able to see you this morning.”
- He anxiously waits for you at the restaurant, the food already ordered since the wait staff already know your orders by heart
- When you enter the restaurant, his eyes light up, as do yours
- “(Y/N)!” He says happily as he gets up from his seat to greet you
- “Armin! How’s your day going?”
- “It’s going good, how about yours?” He asks
- “It just got better.” You answer and then give him a kiss
- When he pulls away to give you a hug, he smells it
- The faintest smell of cypress, vetiver and black teakwood
- He feels his heart drop a bit
- You never wear this kind of smell so it’s definitely not yours
- Then whose is it?
- He pulls away and hides his worry extremely well
- You never know when he’s upset until he physically can’t hold his emotions in anymore
- You’ve always told him to tell you how he feels but he hates making you worry over him
- This is slightly different, though
- If he expresses his worry, he’ll be practically accusing you of cheating on him and saying that he doesn’t trust you
- You can tell that something’s wrong though because he’s not really engaging in the conversation. Just nodding his head and giving short responses
- But at this point you know he’s not going to tell you the truth until he can’t handle it anymore
- He gets home before you and starts pacing through the whole house, not able to sit still
- He never got the same kind of attention from people that Eren or Mikasa did so he’s still pretty insecure
- No matter how many times you tell him how much you love him, how pretty he is, how happy he makes you, there’s still a voice in the back of his mind telling him that you’re lying
- So when he hears the door open, he finally freezes
- He wants to run to you and give you all his love
- But he also wants to confront you about the cologne
- “Armin, there you are.” Your voice says from behind him. “I’ve been calling your name for a few minutes.”
- “Are you… seeing someone else?” He finally asks
- “What? Armin, what gave you that idea?”
- He turns around to face you and you finally see the anxiety in his eyes
- “I could smell that cologne on you.” He tells you, playing with his fingers nervously. “I’ve never smelt it before. I know I’m not very tall, or confident, or handsome, or even funny. So I get it if you want to see other people.”
- You smile sadly. All that lack of attention really messed up his confidence
- You’ve seen photos of him and his friends from high school, which he was absolutely humiliated about
- He had glasses, a decent amount of acne, and would wear a lot of anime shirts
- To say he was a nerd would be an understatement, but you thought he was cute
- So you walk up to him and gently cup his cheeks
- “Armin, my darling. The cologne is yours.”
- He’s absolutely stunned. He would’ve remembered if he had something that like that
- “Mikasa got it for you for your birthday. You didn’t want to hurt her feelings so you just put it in the drawer and forgot about it. I’d never cheat on you. I love you too much to do that to you.”
- He looks down feeling embarrassed that he ever thought you’d do something so cruel
- “I’m sorry.” He apologizes. “I never should’ve-“
- “Hey, no.” You say softly. “You never wore this before so it makes sense that you didn’t think it was yours. Now how about we go downstairs, put on a movie, and cuddle for a while. Does that sound good?”
- He nods with a small smile on his face. “I love you.”
- “I love you more than you know.”
Jean
- He comes home from work before you and decides to make your favourite food for dinner
- But first, he needs to take a shower
- He heads upstairs to your shared bedroom and smells something… different
- It smells like smoke, but with a hint of sage and sandalwood
- He wonders if you got him a new soap
- But if so, why can he smell it when he’s not in the shower?
- He shakes his head, wondering if he’s going crazy and heads into the washroom to take his shower
- It isn’t until he gets out and heads to the dresser to get a new set of night clothes that he finds the culprit behind the smell
- A bottle of cologne that seems to have a few squirts taken out of it
- He picks it up and looks at the brand
- It’s expensive and definitely not his
- His mind starts racing
- There’s no way you’re cheating on him
- You’d never do that
- You probably bought this for him because you thought it smelt good
- But then why isn’t it full?
- He decides to confront you about it when you get home
- He quickly gets dressed, grabs the bottle and heads downstairs so he can start cooking
- If you are cheating, he’s gonna cook you a meal so damn good you’ll instantly regret your decision
- Then he’ll probably remind you why you’ve stayed with him for all these years after your finished begging for his forgiveness
- He’ll make you beg even more
- He plates the food and sets it up at the table and sits down
- About five minutes later, you walk through the door and instantly smell your favourite food
- Ever since Jean made it, no one else’s has even compared
- “Mm, something smells good, Jean!” You say as you walk into the dining room and see him waiting for you.
- “You like smells?” He asks
- You just give him a confused look in response
- He then puts the cologne on the table rather dramatically, like he just found your secret stash of drugs
- “So… You wanna explain why I found some random cologne in our room?”
- You blink a few times. “Excuse me?”
- “Don’t play dumb, baby.” He says. “I can even smell it on you from here. Whose damn cologne is this?”
- “Ok first, let’s stop with the cop attitude. You’ve been watching way too much NCIS.” You say. “And that cologne was a gift from your mother when you got promoted.”
- Heat spreads across his face when he realizes that he’s been jealous of himself for over an hour
- “Oh… Well… I’ve never smelled it before, so why isn’t it still full?”
- “Because you wore it twice before exiling it to the back of the drawer.” You explain.
- Jean clears his throat. “Well then… Never mind, I guess.”
Levi
- He’s checking everyone’s cleaning job when he comes to you
- You smell different
- But it couldn’t be you
- You don’t have anything that smells like bourbon
- And he doesn’t drink
- It could be the cadet you’re cleaning with
- So he walks up to you and takes a sniff
- Yup, that’s definitely you
- “Oi.” He says, looking over at the cadet. “Get lost.”
- “Yes, sir!” The cadet complies and quickly leaves, bringing the broom with him
- “What is it, Levi?” You ask
- “Why do you smell like that?” He asks
- “Like what?” You ask. “I took a shower this morning.”
- “You smell like bourbon.” He says. “So whose cologne is that?”
- “You’re not serious, right?” You asks. “Levi. This cologne has sat on your bathroom counter for months!”
- “Oh…”
- You start laughing
- “Tch.” He clicks his tongue. “You get to clean the stables now, too.”
- “Wha-? Why?!”
- “Because you laughed at me, brat.”
Hanji
- “Hey, Han!” You exclaim as you walk into their lab. “Whatcha doing?”
- “Working.” They answer absentmindedly as they swirl the liquid in their beaker
- You walk up to Hanji and peer over their shoulder
- The smell of vanilla and patchouli practically smacks Hanji in the face, causing them to immediately look away from their work
- “I know you’re working, silly.” You say. “But what are-?”
- You get cut off by Hanji very audibly sniffing the shirt you’re wearing
- High key sounds like a dog when they smell something new
- “Whose cologne is this?” Hanji asks. “Are mine not nice enough to wear?”
- “Huh?” You say, clearly a little confused
- Hanji then realizes that the shirt you’re wearing isn’t one of yours. It’s a bit too big. “And whose shirt is this?”
- “Hanji Zoe.” You smirk. “Are you getting jealous?”
- Hanji removes their glasses and places them on top of their head
- They grip your waist and pull you in close to them
- So close that you can smell their body wash
- “Don’t toy with me, love.” They say lowly. “Who. Do those. Belong to. Don’t make me punish you.”
- You blush a bit, but want to see how far you can take this
- Hanji doesn’t get jealous like this often so you want to have a little fun
- “What will you do if I don’t tell you?”
- “I’ll make sure whoever is trying to take you from me knows that you’re mine.” Hanji answers. “I’ll mark every bit of your skin, and I’ll make sure you scream my name.”
- You wrap your arms around Hanji’s neck
- “Han. This is your shirt.”
- The look of surprise and confusion on their face is adorable
- “This is also your cologne.” You explain further. “I spilled dirty water on my top, so I found this at the bottom of your closet. And because I didn’t want to smell gross, I grabbed the first bottle I could find.“
- “Oh…” Hanji says simply. They start looking anywhere but at your face out of embarrassment.
- “You can keep your promise of punishing me if you want.” You say. “But you’ll need to make up for thinking I’d want to smell like anyone but you.”
- “Fine by me.” Hanji says. “I just gotta finish this experiment, then I’m all yours.”
- They turn back to their work, but you quickly spin them back around in their chair
- “Part of your punishment is not getting to finish… if you catch my drift.”

hange clingy headcannons maybe Y/N is equally clingy? Idk i just need that fluffy shit
Headcanons: Clingy! Hanji Zoe
a/n: thank you for your request, anon ♡ i hope i did it justice. i wanna thank eden for choosing this as the next request i was gonna work on ♡
warnings: tooth-rotting fluff, mentions of nudity but no smut, not beta read (we die like men ♡)
/ before the two of you started dating, hanji was scared to show you just how clingy they actually were, but that didn't stop them from being affectionate in "small and subtle ways". well, small and subtle when it came to them, at least.
/ they would always wrap their arm around your waist while the two of you were standing next to each other and talking to other people. or they would wrap their pinky finger with yours as you walked side by side. they would also steal sips of your drinks all the time or take licks out of your lollipop.
/ during one of your friend's house party, they stayed by your side the whole night, protecting your drink, making sure you were having a good time and introducing you to the rest of their friends.
/ they whined for a few minutes, asking you to go with them to get something new to drink but you were in the middle of a conversation, so you simply kissed one of their cheeks and told them "if you go by yourself, I'll kiss the other cheek when you come back." needless to say, they ran.
/ by the time they came back, they could see a random man walking up to you, his lips too close to yours for their comfort and they nearly panicked. they wanted to rush over there, push the man and protect you but they had never confessed their very obvious feelings before.
/ but as they are about to turn away, they notice that you are making your way towards them with a bright smile on your face. "Hey! I missed you!" you say close to their ear, loudly enough so they will be able to hear you through the loud music.
/ hanji doesn't waste any time. they place the drinks down on a nearby table and wrap an arm around your waist and pulling you closer, your lips colliding together in a desperate kiss the two had been longing for for years. the two of you became official after that.
/ it comes to no surprise that hanji gives the best hugs. their long arms can completely wrap around you as they hug you from behind. you'll usually be cooking or doing laundry and you'll feel their body press against your back and you'll laugh softly, nuzzling your head against them.
/ in public, they refuse to let go of your hand. they want to keep you close, always making sure you are safe and within their line of sight while still making sure everyone around the two of you knows that you are their girlfriend.
/ they get so overwhelmingly hot at night that they wake up sweaty every single morning and they feel absolutely awful when you are drenched as well. though, it is quickly fixed by a shower together and it's right back to more cuddles under the cold ac.
/ even when the two of you getting into a fight, hanji still wants to stay as close to you as they can. even if the two of you are mad at each other, not on speaking terms, you will seat on the couch and watch tv and they will sit next to you, scooting closer every few minutes until your legs are touching.
/ hanji absolutely adores when you pepper their face with kisses. they smile every time and they are always saying how much it reminds them of the flapping wings of a gentle butterfly.
/ when they are sleepy? oof, they become more like a koala than a person. they will cling to your arm and whine over and over, their eyes barely remaining open as they force themselves to speak, asking you to come to bed while they rub their face on your shoulder.
/ you are their favorite pillow. they love sleeping on your thighs while the two of you are watching tv together, they love sleeping on your stomach while the two of you lay in the hammock and they absolutely love to sleep on your boobs every night, the sound of your heartbeat lulling them to sleep.
/ sometimes, when you don't feel like walking from the couch to the bedroom, you'll simply lift your arms and make the sleepiest face you can, even if you aren't that tired. hanji will always let out a small chuckle and pick you up in their arms, no matter how much you weight. they are strong, the can carry you like you are a feather.
/ when you first got together, hanji would always pout and tell you, "i'm not a cutie. i'm strong, powerful and confident!" and you would smile and tease them, "and a cuuuuuutiiiieeeeee." it used to make them so embarrassed but, as time went on, hanji started to get more and more open to it, even responding when you would yell a cute nickname to get their attention.
/ you are the moon to their stars. there is absolutely nothing hanji wouldn't do for you. they are constantly checking in on you, texting you multiple times while you are at work. they will send funny memes, cute selfies, spicy pictures but mostly romantic pictures of plans they have for the two of you, even if it's usually just popcorn and wine at home.
/ hanji will kiss you at every single chance they get. though they prefer the deep kisses, the ones filled with passion and tongues twirling around each other during your steamy make out sessions, they can't deny that those little pecks the two of you share so often make their heart light up with joy.
/ when the two of you go out grocery shopping, hanji will cautiously smack your butt as you walk down the isles, making sure to slap it twice so "neither one of them feels left out." they will also brush their arm against your boobs playfully and smirk when you become a flustered mess.
/ they are always following you around the house, wanting to be close to you no matter how much you move around. that being said, you have always enjoyed sitting by the bathtub while they take a bath, or so you did until they invited you to take a bath with them. you haven't shared or bathed alone since that day, not that you are complaining.
/ they had never felt like they could rely on someone until they met you. it's like a part of their life that had always been missing that finally found its way home and their heart could finally stop aching for something they didn't even know they needed.
/ they stare at your lips 95% of the time that you are talking. if the topic of the conversation isn't something serious, hanji will pull you in for a little kiss after a while simply because they can't go on without having the slightest taste of you.
/ hanji tends to get super anxious when you have to go away for a few days for work and they aren't able to go with you. so they will facetime you at every chance they have: while you are driving, while you are eating, while you are in the shower, getting ready for bed.
/ they can barely sleep during the nights where you are away and, if the call happens to hang up in the middle of the night, they will start crying and frantically hyperventilating as they call you back again over and over until you pick up. as soon as they hear your sleepy and concerned voice, they calm down enough to go back to sleep.
/ you are constantly telling each other how much you love each other. wars (not really) have been fought in your household to decide who gets to say "i love you" last before bedtime.

"straight or curly?"
Guys, I'm not gonna lie. This whole nonsense started with me just debating whether or not I should straighten or curl my hair today. Wow, I miss my man Levi. Maybe it's with Valentine's day coming up, but I needed some emotionally charged, dancing, jealousy, barely restrained Levi in my life. Hope y'all enjoy ◡̈
wc: 8k WHEWWWWWWW
"Sasha. Mikasa. Should I straighten my hair today, or curl it? It's the weekend, and I want to try something new."
Mikasa, already dressed and pulling on her boots, barely glances up before saying, “Straight.”
Sasha, who’s still lounging on her bed with no urgency whatsoever, tilts her head in thought. “Curl it. It looks cuter that way.”
You hum, turning back to the mirror, lightly running your fingers through your hair. “Hmm. Mikasa, why straight?”
She shrugs. “It’s easier.”
Sasha rolls her eyes. “Yeah, but it’s the weekend. Don’t you want to, I don’t know, do something fun with it?”
You smirk at their contrast and tap your fingers against the wooden vanity. “Jean’s going to say straight. Connie’s going to say whatever makes me look stupid.”
Mikasa ties her scarf, uninterested. “Jean will say whatever makes you look ‘mature.’”
Sasha snorts. “He’s been watching too many noblewomen walk through town.”
You shake your head, grinning at their banter, then turn back to the mirror. “Alright, decision made.”
Mikasa raises a brow. “Which one?”
You give a dramatic pause before flashing them a mischievous grin. “I’ll ask Levi.”
Sasha chokes on air. “Wha—are you insane?”
Mikasa actually looks up at that, blinking. “You’re going to ask the Captain?”
You shrug innocently, gathering your comb. “He’s got an eye for detail. Might as well make use of it.”
Sasha buries her face into her pillow, groaning. “Oh my god, you love testing death, don’t you?”
Mikasa, while less dramatic, still watches you carefully. “You’re comfortable with him, sure. But that’s still Levi. You really think he’s going to care about how you do your hair?”
You smirk. “I don’t know. But I do know that if I look ridiculous, he won’t hesitate to tell me.”
Sasha peeks out from her pillow, stifling laughter. “That’s... actually true.”
Mikasa just shakes her head. “I’m not stopping you. But don’t be surprised if he tells you you’re wasting his time.”
You flash them both a grin before heading for the door. “I’ll be back with verdict.”
—
The morning sun is just beginning to filter through the halls as you make your way toward the common area, boots clicking softly against the wooden floors. Most of the squad is still waking up, scattered across various spaces, engaged in quiet conversations or lazy weekend tasks.
And then, you spot Levi.
He’s near the windows, arms crossed, watching the drizzle outside with his usual unreadable expression. The early light casts a soft glow against his features, the sharp angles of his face somehow looking even sharper in the muted tones of the morning.
You take a breath, then casually stride up next to him, standing just close enough that he acknowledges your presence with a glance but doesn’t immediately turn away.
“Captain,” you say, tilting your head.
Levi’s gaze flickers to you, his brows drawing together slightly. “What?”
You twirl a strand of your hair between your fingers, smirking. “Should I straighten or curl my hair today?”
There’s a pause. A heavy, weighted pause.
Levi blinks once. Then twice. His expression is as blank as ever, but there’s a split second where you think—just maybe—you’ve stunned him into silence.
“…You woke up just to ask me that?”
You cross your arms, feigning seriousness. “This is an important decision, Captain. I need guidance. You have high standards, so I figured you’d have an opinion.”
Levi exhales slowly, pinching the bridge of his nose. “This is the dumbest thing you’ve ever asked me.”
You bite back a grin. “That’s not an answer, though.”
He finally looks at you fully, scanning you with the same critical gaze he uses when inspecting gear, paperwork, or a particularly irritating recruit.
“Straight,” he says flatly. “Less maintenance.”
You huff. “That’s what Mikasa said.”
Levi shrugs. “Then she’s right.”
You tap your chin, pretending to contemplate. “Sasha said curls.”
“Tch. Of course she did.”
You fight the urge to laugh. “You really don’t like being pulled into nonsense, do you?”
Levi scoffs lightly, already turning back to the window. “And yet, somehow, you keep pulling me in.”
You grin. “It’s a talent.”
Levi exhales again, shaking his head. “Straighten it. But if you’re going to keep bothering me about it, just shave it all off and save everyone the trouble.”
You do laugh at that, shaking your head as you step back. “Alright, alright. Decision made. Thanks, Captain.”
Levi doesn’t reply, but as you turn to leave, you swear you catch something—the barest flicker of amusement in his gaze.
And somehow, that feels like more of a victory than anything else.
You straighten your posture before giving a firm nod, shifting away from the relaxed banter you nearly let slip. “Thank you, Captain.” Your voice is lighter now, but the respect is there—solid, unwavering, the way it should be when addressing him.
Levi doesn’t reply, but the flicker of acknowledgment in his expression tells you that he noticed the shift. He doesn’t need praise, doesn’t care for pleasantries, but he does expect discipline.
And you do respect him—his authority, his position, the sheer presence he carries that makes the rest of the squad tread carefully around him. That weight isn’t something you take lightly.
With your decision made, you turn on your heel and make your way back toward the barracks, catching the eyes of a few cadets as you pass. Some of them look at you like you’ve just done something insane, while others avoid making eye contact entirely, as if speaking to Levi so casually might have put you on a death sentence.
When you step back into the barracks, Sasha and Mikasa are still exactly where you left them, Sasha now halfway through a snack she definitely didn’t have before.
Mikasa eyes you first. “Straight?”
You smirk. “Straight.”
Sasha lets out a dramatic sigh. “Of course he’d say that.”
You shrug as you make your way to the small mirror on the vanity, pulling out your comb. “Well, you did say he has high standards. Might as well follow through.”
Mikasa finishes tying the last knot on her gear before grabbing her scarf. “I don’t understand why you’d ask him in the first place.”
You glance at her through the mirror, lips twitching. “Because he’d tell me the truth, not just what I want to hear.”
Sasha hums thoughtfully. “That is true… Still, brave of you to just walk up to him like that.”
You roll your eyes, running the comb through your hair. “He’s my Captain, not some untouchable ghost. You all act like he’s going to snap my neck for asking a question.”
Sasha gives you an incredulous look. “He would if you tested him enough.”
Mikasa, though less dramatic, simply says, “You’re more comfortable with him than the rest of us are.”
You pause at that, the weight of her words settling over you.
It’s true.
The others hold Levi at a distance—not just because of his rank, but because of who he is. Humanity’s Strongest. A leader, an authority, a presence that demands respect with the sheer force of his being. You’ve seen how they sit up straighter, how they quiet down when he enters a room, how the air around him shifts the atmosphere entirely.
And yet, with you, the distance is different. You still respect him, still heed his orders, but you don’t shrink away under his stare. You step forward, meet his gaze, hold your ground—not recklessly, not without care, but with something else. Something more solid.
You shake off the thought, focusing back on your reflection as you finish smoothing down the last strand of hair.
“Well,” you say, keeping your tone light, “it’s not my fault you all look like you’ve seen a ghost whenever he’s in the room.”
Mikasa doesn’t argue, simply picking up her gear and heading toward the door. “I’ll see you outside.”
Sasha gives you one last lingering look, then grins. “If you ever do cross a line, just give me your rations before you get executed.”
You snort. “Noted.”
As Sasha follows after Mikasa, you take one last glance at yourself before heading toward the door as well, rolling your shoulders back as you mentally prepare for the day ahead.
Even if you are more comfortable with the Captain, that doesn’t mean you’ll ever forget who he is.
Levi Ackerman.
Your Captain. Your superior.
The strongest soldier alive.
And somehow, someone you can’t seem to stop seeking out.
—
The morning air is crisp as you step outside, the lingering chill of the earlier rain still clinging to the air. The ground is damp beneath your boots, the scent of wet earth and wood mixing with the sharp freshness of the wind rolling over the fields beyond the walls. The sun is beginning to break through the thinning clouds, casting golden streaks across the headquarters, its light catching on the dew that clings to the edges of the grass.
You inhale deeply, letting the coolness of it wake you up fully. The barracks are already alive with movement—cadets milling about, some heading toward training fields, others finishing up morning duties. The sound of voices, of boots against gravel, of birds stirring in the trees beyond, all mix together into the low, steady hum of a world still in motion.
Sasha and Mikasa are waiting for you a few feet away, Mikasa adjusting the straps of her gear with practiced efficiency, Sasha idly bouncing on the balls of her feet like she’s trying to generate enough energy to get through the day. She notices you first, squinting at you with exaggerated focus before nodding in approval.
“Alright, I’ll admit it. The Captain was right. The straight hair suits you.”
You snort, walking up to them. “You sound so betrayed.”
“I am betrayed,” she huffs dramatically. “But only because I wanted to be right.”
Mikasa shakes her head. “It was a practical answer. Levi only ever gives practical answers.”
You hum, knowing that’s true, but there’s something about the way he’d looked at you when he said it—how he’d assessed you with that sharp gaze of his, how he’d told you without hesitation, straighten it—that lingers in your thoughts more than it should.
But before you can dwell on it too much, the sound of boots approaching pulls your attention.
Erwin and Levi are walking through the yard, their presence commanding without effort. There’s something about the way the air shifts when they’re together—Erwin with his calm, calculated confidence, and Levi, sharp-edged and observant, moving with quiet precision.
Cadets straighten as they pass, conversations dulling slightly out of instinct, as if the weight of leadership alone is enough to pull people to attention. Even Jean, who normally has some sort of wisecrack ready, keeps his mouth firmly shut as they approach.
You, on the other hand, watch them with interest. Erwin is speaking in low tones, his expression unreadable, while Levi listens, his eyes narrowed slightly, his arms crossed as he walks in measured steps beside him.
But then, as if drawn by some unspoken pull, Levi’s gaze flickers—to you.
It’s brief, but it lingers just long enough to be intentional. A silent acknowledgment. A glance that feels heavier than just casual observation.
Your heart stirs in a way you don’t fully understand.
You don’t break eye contact right away. You hold it, just for a second longer than necessary, before nodding in quiet greeting, maintaining the formality expected of you.
Levi doesn’t nod back, but there’s a shift in his expression, something so subtle that only someone looking for it would notice. And then he looks away, back to Erwin, as if nothing had happened at all.
The moment passes, but it leaves something behind.
Mikasa notices. She doesn’t say anything, but she notices. The slight tilt of her head, the way her gaze flickers between you and Levi before she simply adjusts her gear again, tells you that much.
Sasha, however, being Sasha, definitely notices.
She leans in slightly, voice hushed but teasing. “That was a look.”
You keep your expression carefully neutral. “That was nothing.”
Sasha smirks. “Sure it was.”
You roll your eyes, but the warmth spreading beneath your ribs is undeniable.
—
The morning drifts into training, the sky fully clearing as the sun rises higher, warming the damp earth below. The air is filled with the rhythmic whoosh of ODM gear, the sharp snap of cables latching onto wooden poles, the occasional grunt of effort as cadets push themselves through the drills.
You move through the routine with practiced ease, the familiar weight of your gear settling into your movements, your muscles burning in that satisfying way that comes with hard work. The wind rushes past your ears as you propel yourself forward, the world blurring for a moment before you land solidly on the next platform, inhaling sharply before launching off again.
Training days like this—ones where you can feel your strength, your skill, the sheer power of your body moving through the air—are the ones that remind you why you fight. Why you push.
You fall into rhythm with the others, weaving between them, keeping pace as you scan for your next maneuver. Jean and Eren are bickering between swings, Sasha is somehow eating mid-air, and Mikasa—unsurprisingly—is moving effortlessly, her form almost unnatural in its efficiency.
And then there’s Levi.
His presence alone changes the air.
He’s not just watching—he’s analyzing, assessing the squad with sharp, unwavering focus. His movements are controlled, effortless, the way he balances his weight even as he stands observing more a testament to his skill than anything else.
Every once in a while, he calls out adjustments. A sharp, no-nonsense command. A correction before anyone even has a chance to mess up.
And when his voice cuts through the field—low, firm, carrying more authority in a single word than most could in an entire speech—people listen.
You land solidly on a nearby platform, catching your breath for just a second before you hear it.
“Your form’s getting sloppy.”
You turn sharply.
Levi is watching you, arms crossed, gaze heavy.
You blink, surprised at first, before narrowing your eyes slightly. “It’s not sloppy.”
Levi raises a brow. “You hesitated before your last swing.”
You huff, rolling your shoulders back, feeling the weight of your gear settle evenly again. “Only because Jean was in my way.”
Jean, from several feet away, throws up his hands. “Why is my name always being thrown around?”
Levi doesn’t even acknowledge him. His attention stays on you.
“You’re letting yourself get distracted,” he says evenly, gaze unwavering. “Fix it.”
Your jaw tightens slightly.
You could argue, you want to argue, but you know better. Levi doesn’t say things for the sake of it. If he’s calling you out, it’s because he knows you can do better.
And that bothers you more than anything.
You nod once, sharp. “Understood, Captain.”
Levi watches you for a second longer before giving the smallest nod of approval. And then, just like that, his attention shifts—back to the squad, back to the broader picture, back to everything else that needs his attention.
You take a slow breath before launching yourself forward again, this time sharper, faster.
And though he doesn’t look at you again, you know he’s still watching.
And that’s enough to push you harder.
—
It was the end of the short lesson as you were released for the weekend.
“Guys,” You fall back into step with the girls, absentmindedly stroking a piece of your hair, “what if he only chose straight hair because it’s more convenient, not because it necessarily looked better on me? How can I know?”
Sasha groans dramatically, throwing her arms in the air. “Oh my god, you’re still thinking about this?”
Mikasa, walking beside you with her gear slung over her shoulder, gives you a sidelong glance. “Levi doesn’t say things just to say them. If he said straight, he meant it.”
You let out a thoughtful hum, twirling a strand of your hair between your fingers. “But what if he only said it because it’s easier, not because it actually looked better?”
Sasha snorts. “Then I guess you’ll just have to change it up and see if he reacts.”
You blink at her. “What, like curl my hair next time and test his response?”
Mikasa shakes her head as if she can already see where this is going. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Sasha grins mischievously. “I do.”
You narrow your eyes in thought, considering.
Mikasa sighs. “He’s our Captain, not some noble at a ballroom.”
“Exactly,” you quip, smirking. “Which means if he does notice, it’ll mean something.”
Mikasa doesn’t respond, just presses her lips into a thin line as if choosing to disengage entirely.
Sasha, however, nudges you with her elbow. “Alright, next mission: Operation Look Pretty and See if Captain Notices.”
You huff a laugh. “That is not what we’re calling it.”
Sasha grins. “Too late. It’s already official.”
Mikasa sighs again, rubbing her temple. “I can’t believe we’re having this conversation.”
You smirk but don’t push further, letting the subject drop—for now. But deep down, curiosity lingers.
Because, honestly?
You kind of do want to see if he notices.
—
“I mean, we are going out tonight to celebrate Jean’s birthday. I can accidentally slip by him with my curled hair to see his reaction…” You muse thoughtfully as you get change out of uniform and into more casual clothing, appreciating the cool breeze that hits your legs as you twirl in a skirt.
Mikasa groans, rubbing her temple like she’s already regretting being part of this conversation. “That’s ridiculous.”
Sasha, on the other hand, lights up. “No, that’s genius.”
You grin, brushing through your hair as you sit on the edge of your bed. “Is it though?”
“Yes,” Sasha says immediately. “Because listen, if Levi doesn’t care, he won’t react. But if he notices—even a little—that means he actually has an opinion on how you look.” She gestures dramatically. “And that would mean something.”
Mikasa exhales through her nose. “Or it just means he’s observant and has an opinion on everything.”
You hum thoughtfully, tying your hair into a loose ponytail for now. “That’s why it’s a test, Mikasa. For science.”
Mikasa stares at you blankly. “That is not how science works.”
Sasha claps her hands together. “Alright, so plan’s simple—tonight, you curl your hair, we go out for Jean’s birthday, and at some point, you just... happen to slip by the Captain.”
You nod, amused at how invested Sasha has become. “Exactly. Totally casual. No effort at all.”
Mikasa shakes her head, standing up and adjusting the straps on her uniform. “I’m not encouraging this. If you want to waste your time overanalyzing Levi’s non-reaction, that’s on you.”
Sasha rolls her eyes. “It’s called gathering data, Mikasa.”
You laugh, standing as well. “Exactly. And besides, it’s just for fun.”
Mikasa gives you a look that says you are all insufferable, but she doesn’t argue further. Instead, she merely slings her gear over her shoulder. “I’ll meet you both outside.”
As she leaves, Sasha leans in conspiratorially. “She’s totally curious too, she just won’t admit it.”
You smirk. “Oh, definitely.”
Sasha grins. “Alright, then. Let’s make Jean’s birthday party very interesting.”
The rest of the day passes in a blur of training, chores, and preparation for the evening. By the time the sun dips low over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of soft orange and violet, the atmosphere around headquarters shifts into something lighter, more relaxed. It’s rare to have a night like this—where everyone can unwind, even just for a few hours, without the weight of duty pressing down on them.
You stand in front of the small mirror in the barracks, fingers deftly working through your hair as you curl it, piece by piece. The heat from the iron brushes against your fingertips, and you carefully shape each strand, letting the soft waves fall naturally over your shoulders.
Mikasa, seated on her bunk, pretends not to watch but definitely watches. She says nothing, but the occasional glance in the mirror’s reflection gives her away.
Sasha, on the other hand, is fully invested, sitting cross-legged on her bed and leaning forward. “Oh, yeah. This was definitely the right call.”
You smirk. “Told you.”
She grins. “You’re about to ruin a man’s whole perception of himself.”
You snort, shaking your head as you adjust the last curl. “You’re making it sound like a battle strategy.”
Sasha shrugs. “If you win, I say it counts.”
Mikasa finally sighs. “It’s ridiculous to think Levi would even care about something like this.”
You raise an eyebrow at her through the mirror. “Then there’s no harm in testing it, right?”
She presses her lips into a thin line, but doesn’t argue.
Satisfied, you stand up, smoothing your hands over your outfit—something casual but presentable, enough to blend in while still feeling put-together. The anticipation hums beneath your skin, but you shake it off, reminding yourself that this is not some grand event.
It’s just Jean’s birthday.
And Levi noticing or not noticing your hair is just... extra data.
—
The town is alive with warmth and movement, the faint glow of lanterns casting golden light against cobblestone streets. It’s a stark contrast to headquarters—where the air is always tense, where everything is lined with purpose and duty. Here, laughter spills from tavern doors, the clinking of glasses and distant music drifting through the air.
The squad gathers outside one of the better-kept taverns, waiting for stragglers before heading in. Jean stands at the center of it all, basking in the attention of his birthday, grinning as Connie pretends to give a heartfelt speech about his immense wisdom and contributions to humanity.
You laugh, rolling your eyes as you adjust your jacket. “You’re laying it on thick, Connie.”
Connie throws up his hands. “It’s his birthday, let me lie to the guy.”
Jean scoffs, shoving him lightly. “At least someone is recognizing my greatness.”
Mikasa stands beside you, arms crossed, looking unimpressed. Sasha is already trying to drag Reiner and Bertholdt into a bet over who can drink the most before passing out. The atmosphere is light, easy—exactly the kind of night you all need.
And then, just as you’re about to head inside, you feel it.
A shift.
The kind of awareness that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
You glance over your shoulder, and sure enough—Levi is approaching from the other end of the street. He’s walking with Erwin and Hange, both of whom are engaged in quiet conversation. But Levi—Levi is quiet as always, sharp eyes scanning the gathered squad as he moves.
Your heart does a stupid little lurch in your chest.
It’s not a big deal. You know that. But suddenly, every single curl feels too obvious, every strand of hair placed too deliberately.
Sasha subtly elbows you, voice low. “Showtime.”
You swallow, ignoring the ridiculousness of it all as you casually—very casually—turn your head and pretend to adjust your sleeve, making it look like you just so happen to be standing directly in Levi’s line of sight.
He slows slightly as he approaches, his eyes flickering over the group in his usual assessing way. You watch carefully, scanning for any sign of reaction—anything at all—but his face remains unreadable.
And then—his gaze lands on you.
It’s brief. Just a flicker. But something shifts.
His sharp eyes drag over your hair—not just in passing, but with intent. The tiniest hesitation, the kind that would be imperceptible to anyone not looking for it.
You hold your breath.
And then, just as quickly as it happened, it’s gone.
His expression smooths back into neutrality, his attention snapping forward again as he brushes past you with no comment, following Erwin and Hange into the tavern.
You exhale slowly, feeling the weight of Sasha’s expectant stare burning into the side of your face.
“Well?” she whispers, practically vibrating. “Did he notice?”
You press your lips together, considering.
“…He paused.”
Sasha grabs your arm. “OH, MY GOD.”
Mikasa groans, already walking ahead. “I refuse to be part of this.”
Jean, oblivious to everything, is already inside, basking in the attention of his own celebration.
You, however, linger for just a second longer, glancing at the door Levi disappeared into.
Maybe it was nothing.
Maybe it was everything.
But either way—he paused.
And that was more than enough.
—
The warmth of the tavern hits you the moment you step inside, a stark contrast to the cool night air outside. The scent of old wood, spiced ale, and freshly baked bread lingers in the air, mixing with the low hum of chatter and the occasional burst of laughter from a drunken patron. The flickering candlelight casts everything in a dim, golden glow, the kind that makes the edges of reality feel softer, less urgent.
Jean, reveling in the rare occasion of being the center of attention, immediately heads toward an empty table near the back, where the rest of your squad is already gathering. Connie slings an arm around his shoulders, teasing him about how old he’s getting, while Sasha is already scanning the menu, clearly prioritizing food over conversation.
You settle into a seat across from Mikasa, who looks less interested in the celebration and more like she’s simply here to make sure Eren doesn’t do anything stupid. You smirk, leaning on your elbow. “I bet you five rations Eren ends up in a bar fight before the night is over.”
Mikasa doesn’t even blink. “I’m not betting against something that’s guaranteed to happen.”
You laugh, but before you can respond, the door swings open again, and your attention flickers instinctively to the entrance.
Levi steps inside, following Erwin and Hange as they make their way toward a separate table reserved for officers. Unlike the rest of you—who have already started loosening up, the casual energy of the tavern slipping into your movements—Levi remains the same. Composed. Straight-backed. Completely unfazed by the shift in atmosphere.
But you don’t miss the way his sharp gaze subtly sweeps over the room, assessing the layout, cataloging who’s here, where the exits are. It’s instinctual, second nature. Even in a space meant for relaxation, he’s still a soldier first.
He moves toward his seat, and for a second, just a brief second, his gaze flickers in your direction.
You feel the weight of it, even from across the room.
It’s unreadable, just like before. But you know he saw.
Your heart does that stupid little skip again, and you force yourself to look away, suppressing the smug smile threatening to form on your lips.
Sasha, however, does not suppress hers. She leans in close, voice hushed but practically vibrating with excitement. “He paused again.”
You shake your head. “It could have been anything.”
“It wasn’t anything.”
Mikasa sighs, already regretting sitting next to you two. “If you two spent half this energy on training, you’d both be Captain-level by now.”
Sasha grins. “Okay, but watching this unfold is so much more entertaining.”
You roll your eyes, picking up a glass of water and taking a slow sip, hoping to calm down the unnecessary giddiness that’s settled in your chest. It’s stupid—you know it’s stupid—but something about Levi’s pause feels like a tiny, unspoken victory.
Still, you shake it off. The night isn’t about that. It’s about Jean, about unwinding, about letting yourself be a person instead of just a soldier for once.
And so, you let the conversation around you pull you in. You tease Jean about his dramatic speeches, you steal a bite of Sasha’s food when she isn’t looking, you let yourself sink into the warmth of camaraderie, the normalcy of it all.
Time moves easily, drinks are passed around, and the sound of laughter grows louder as the night wears on.
Until—
“You’re drinking too fast.”
The voice is low, firm, unmistakable.
Your muscles stiffen slightly before you even see him, but when you glance up, sure enough, Levi is standing beside you, arms crossed, looking unimpressed.
Your glass, half-full with whatever cheap ale Sasha had convinced you to try, is still in your hand. You raise an eyebrow, tilting it slightly. “I’ve had one drink, Captain.”
Levi doesn’t budge. “And I’ve seen what happens when you lot get carried away.”
Around you, the others fall quiet, the easygoing atmosphere from moments ago shifting under Levi’s presence. Even Jean—who, on his own birthday, should technically be allowed to act out a little—sits up straighter, eyes flickering toward you with mild concern.
You swallow, knowing that Levi is right, that the last thing you need is to be unfocused, careless.
Still, you offer a small, placating smile. “I hear you, Captain. Don’t worry—I know my limits.”
Levi watches you for a moment longer, gaze lingering just a fraction longer than necessary. But then he exhales sharply through his nose, something between a sigh and a quiet acknowledgment, before stepping back. “Tch. Just don’t do anything stupid.”
You nod, and with that, Levi finally retreats, making his way back toward his own table.
The second he’s out of earshot, Sasha lets out a long breath. “Wow. He really keeps an eye on you, huh?”
Jean shakes his head. “I don’t know whether to feel sorry for you or be impressed you can get away with talking back.”
You roll your eyes. “I wasn’t talking back. I was just… clarifying.”
Mikasa hums. “He didn’t call anyone else out. Just you.”
That gives you pause.
You glance back toward Levi’s table, where he’s now sitting with Erwin and Hange, sipping from a teacup instead of anything stronger. His posture remains the same—composed, indifferent—but his awareness of the room is ever-present.
And maybe, just maybe, his awareness of you is a little sharper than the rest.
You turn back to your friends, shaking your head. “You’re all reading too much into it.”
Sasha smirks. “Are we?”
You don’t answer.
You just take another sip of water, ignoring the way your heart betrays you with a quiet, persistent rhythm.
—
The world feels a little softer around the edges, the golden glow of lanterns casting everything in a dreamlike haze. The warmth of the alcohol hums beneath your skin, not overwhelming, but just enough—enough to dull the weight of the past week, enough to make the music sound richer, enough to let yourself exist in the moment without overthinking it.
The tavern is alive now, laughter spilling over the strum of instruments, boots tapping against the wooden floor in time with the lively rhythm. Around you, your friends are caught up in the revelry—Connie and Sasha are engaged in some ridiculous footwork competition, Jean is attempting to twirl Historia around and failing miserably, and even Mikasa, ever composed, allows herself a small smile as she watches the chaos unfold.
And then—your hands are caught in someone else’s.
You blink, surprised, as a man—tall, broad-shouldered, with an easy grin—takes your hand and pulls you into the movement of the dance floor. His grip is firm, his confidence easy, and before you can even register it, you’re being spun into the rhythm of the music.
You offer a polite smile, adjusting to the steps as he twirls you once, twice. He seems friendly enough, his expression open and relaxed, and for a moment, you let yourself get lost in it, let yourself be just another person in a tavern, caught in the joy of the night.
But then—
His hold tightens.
Subtly, but noticeably.
His hand lingers just a little too long on your waist, his grip just a bit firmer than necessary.
Your instincts, dulled by the pleasant haze in your mind, take a moment to catch up. You keep your smile in place, but a quiet unease settles in your stomach. You try to subtly shift your weight, to create some distance between you, but he moves with you, maintaining the closeness.
A polite exit. You just need a polite exit.
You clear your throat lightly, offering a small laugh. “Alright, I think I need a break—”
The man chuckles, still holding you in place. “Come on, one more dance.”
Something in his tone makes your skin prickle—not outright threatening, but entitled, as if your willingness to dance once meant you owed him more.
Your smile tightens. “I should really—”
And then, before you have the chance to finish your sentence, the air changes.
A presence—sharp, heavy, unmistakable—settles behind you.
The man stiffens slightly, his grip loosening just enough for you to slip a step back, as a new voice cuts through the space between you, low and edged with quiet authority.
“Let her go.”
Your breath catches.
Slowly, you turn your head.
Levi stands there, expression unreadable, eyes dark and steady. His posture is relaxed—but in that way, the way that suggests he is anything but. His arms are crossed, but the tension in his shoulders is subtle, the kind you’d only notice if you knew him.
And you do.
The man—who had been all confidence and charm just moments ago—hesitates, his fingers twitching slightly at his sides. He sizes Levi up, as if debating whether or not to push his luck.
He makes the wrong choice.
“She was dancing with me,” the man says, lifting his hands slightly in false innocence, though his tone holds a thread of defiance. “Didn’t seem to mind.”
A sharp, quiet pause.
Levi tilts his head ever so slightly, eyes flickering between you and the man with chilling precision. His voice, when he speaks again, is calm.
“I wasn’t asking.”
The weight of those words settles between them, heavy, immovable.
Something flickers in the man’s face—hesitation, irritation, then a quiet understanding that this is not a fight he wants to pick.
With a huff, he raises his hands in surrender. “Didn’t know she had a guard dog.”
You feel Levi tense, just for a split second.
Before anything can escalate, you step forward, offering the man a sharp, polite smile. “Thank you for the dance,” you say evenly, voice firm. “But I’m done now.”
The man’s eyes linger on you for a moment longer, then finally, he scoffs and turns away, disappearing into the crowd.
The tension lingers, like a blade just barely sheathed.
You exhale slowly, turning fully toward Levi.
His gaze sweeps over you—quick, assessing, making sure you’re unharmed. When he’s satisfied, he clicks his tongue. “You need to be more careful.”
You cross your arms. “I was being careful.”
Levi raises a brow. “Didn’t look like it.”
You huff, rubbing the back of your neck. “I was handling it, Captain.”
Levi doesn’t respond right away. Instead, his eyes flicker over your face again, something unreadable in his expression. Then, finally—
“I know.”
It’s not an admission of fault, not quite. But it is an acknowledgment.
You blink, caught off guard by the quiet weight behind those words.
Before you can say anything, he exhales sharply and steps back. “Oi. You’re reckless.”
You smirk. “You say that like it’s a surprise.”
Levi doesn’t dignify that with a response, just shakes his head. But there’s something different in the way he looks at you, something lingering beneath the usual exasperation.
Something like relief.
And maybe—just maybe—you weren’t the only one who noticed the way he paused tonight.
—
“Well Captain?” You smile, laughing as you sidestep to avoid Sasha twirling with a recently hired chef that you had seen around a lot more recently. “Isn’t the gentleman supposed to offer the lady a dance? Awfully rude to step in without an intention of following through, don’t you think?”
Levi exhales sharply through his nose, unimpressed, arms still crossed as he watches you with that unreadable expression. The tavern is alive around you—figures moving in vibrant swirls of laughter and motion, the wooden floor shaking beneath the weight of stomping boots, the rich hum of music weaving through the air.
But here, in this moment, it’s just you and him.
You smirk, tilting your head. “Come on, Captain. You can’t step in all dramatic like that and not at least pretend to play along.”
Levi doesn’t move, but there’s something assessing in his gaze, something like quiet calculation behind those steel-gray eyes. You wonder if he’s thinking of an escape, a way to dismiss you with one of his usual deadpan remarks.
But then—
A hand.
Not grabbing, not demanding—just a simple extension. A silent answer.
Your breath catches in your throat.
It’s brief, just a flicker of hesitation before his fingers brush yours, just enough to take your hand without giving anything away. His grip is firm, but there’s a carefulness to it, as if he’s aware of the weight behind the action, of the unspoken shift in the space between you.
And then—he moves.
Not in the showy, exaggerated way the others are throwing themselves into the music, but in a way that’s purely Levi—sharp, controlled, precise. His grip on your hand remains steady as he guides you through the steps, his other hand finding the small of your back, light but firm.
For a second, you forget everything else.
The alcohol, the laughter, the blurred movement of the world around you—it all fades into something distant, something inconsequential compared to the quiet gravity of him.
His touch is careful but certain, his movements seamless despite the clear reluctance in his expression. It’s not that he’s uncomfortable—it’s just that Levi Ackerman is not a man who does things without purpose.
And yet, here he is, following through.
You smile, leaning in just slightly, voice barely above the hum of the music. “See? Not so bad, is it?”
Levi scoffs lightly. "You’re lucky I haven’t stepped on your feet.”
You laugh—really laugh, the warmth of it bubbling up in your chest, light and unrestrained. The sound earns you the barest flicker of something in his eyes—not quite amusement, but something close.
The moment stretches, neither of you breaking the rhythm, neither of you pulling away.
And for the first time that night, you’re certain of one thing:
Levi definitely noticed your hair.
The music swells around you, a lively, unrelenting current of sound and motion, but you barely register it. The tavern, the laughter, the blur of bodies dancing past—it all becomes background noise, a distant hum compared to the quiet weight of the moment unfolding between you and Levi.
His hand is steady against yours, his grip firm but never forceful. His other hand, resting lightly at the small of your back, holds no urgency, no demand—just quiet control, a careful presence. He moves with you in that same effortless way he fights—with intention, with precision, with the kind of quiet mastery that makes even the smallest of gestures feel deliberate.
And yet, for all his competence, you can feel the reluctance in him.
Not reluctance toward you, necessarily. But toward the situation. Toward the ease with which he’s letting this happen.
Toward the fact that he is here, dancing with you, indulging this moment when he so rarely indulges anything.
You can see it in the tension just barely visible in his shoulders, in the way his jaw ticks subtly, as if his own body is surprised by the fact that he’s still holding onto you.
You press your lips together, suppressing a smirk. “You’re concentrating too much.”
Levi exhales through his nose, unimpressed. “I don’t dance.”
“You’re dancing right now.”
“Tch. You call this dancing?”
You grin, leaning in just enough that your words are meant only for him. “Well, you are holding me awfully close for someone who doesn’t dance, Captain.”
Levi doesn’t react immediately, doesn’t pull away or push you off with a sharp remark like you half-expect him to. Instead, his grip subtly adjusts—not tightening, not loosening, but shifting in a way that tells you he’s aware.
Aware of the closeness. Aware of the way your breath brushes faintly against his collar. Aware of the warmth of your body so near to his own.
It’s subtle, almost imperceptible, but you feel it—that minuscule shift in his fingers against yours, in the way his hand remains steady at your back, holding you just at the edge of something uncertain.
He doesn’t break the eye contact you didn’t even realize you had been holding.
“…You’re ridiculous,” he mutters, voice low, almost lost beneath the sound of music and laughter around you.
You smile. “And yet, here you are.”
Levi exhales, his thumb grazing the back of your hand as he adjusts his grip—so small a movement, so imperceptible, that you wonder if he even realizes he did it.
Or if he does, and just isn’t stopping himself.
The room spins slightly—not from the alcohol, not from the movement, but from the sheer weight of the moment, from the impossible tenderness that exists in the spaces between words, in the breaths you don’t take, in the lingering warmth of a touch that neither of you are pulling away from.
And for the first time since you pulled him into this, you realize something.
You’re testing him.
Not just to see if he noticed your hair, not just to push his limits, but to see if he will choose to let this moment exist.
If he will choose to let himself stay.
Your heart pounds as you take a breath. “Levi—”
A crash from the other side of the room interrupts you, followed by loud, drunken shouting.
Levi’s body tenses immediately, his hand at your back twitching as his head whips toward the commotion. The moment between you shatters instantly, replaced by sharp awareness, by the cold snap of duty.
He doesn’t say a word. He just lets go.
The loss of his touch is instant, like stepping into cold air after being wrapped in warmth. The shift is so sharp, so complete, that it almost makes you doubt whether the moment you just shared was real at all.
Levi steps back, his expression neutral again, unreadable as he scans the room, already assessing.
You swallow, forcing yourself to do the same—to shake it off, to pretend like your pulse isn’t still pounding in your ears, like the ghost of his hands on you isn’t still lingering on your skin.
He glances back at you, his gaze flickering over you once, checking—like he’s making sure you’re still steady, still standing, before he turns his attention back to the rest of the room.
“Stay here,” he mutters. And then, just like that, he’s gone, moving toward the source of the disturbance with the same effortless sharpness that makes him humanity’s strongest.
You watch him go, exhaling a breath you didn’t realize you were holding.
The music carries on, the tavern keeps spinning, but you remain rooted in place, heart still racing, the memory of his warmth still imprinted on your skin.
And for the first time tonight, you realize—
You don’t need Levi to say that he noticed you.
Because in the way he held onto you, even for just a moment—he already did.
—
You scan the room to see if any of your friends are in danger. After seeing them slowly making their way back to the corner table, you bunch up your skirt before striding across the room to Erwin. "Commander, what is it? Where's Captain? Squad Leader Hange? What are my orders, sir?"
You stand unflinching before him, but your heart beats thunderously, unsure of where the Captain went and if he'll be okay.
Erwin’s sharp blue eyes flicker down to you as you approach, his expression unreadable but steady, as always. The weight of command rests on his shoulders like a mantle, effortless in the way only a man like him can carry. He does not startle, does not seem surprised that you’ve come to him first, as if he expected you would.
His gaze scans over the tavern, over the shifting figures of soldiers and civilians alike, before settling back on you. “It was just a minor scuffle,” he says, voice calm, deliberate. “A few drunk patrons getting too comfortable around our cadets. Captain Levi and Squad Leader Hange are handling it.”
Your fingers tighten slightly against the fabric of your skirt, heart still hammering in your chest. “Should I assist?”
Erwin studies you for a fraction longer than necessary before speaking. “No. The situation is under control.” A pause. “But it’s good that you came to me first.”
Your lips press together, trying to steady yourself. “It’s my duty.”
Erwin gives the smallest nod, an unspoken acknowledgment that you understand what it means to be a soldier, even in moments like this. Even with your pulse still thrumming from something that has nothing to do with a threat.
You inhale sharply, eyes flickering toward the direction Levi disappeared. “Where did Captain Levi go?”
“He’s outside.” Erwin’s voice remains as even as ever, but something in the way he watches you is too perceptive, too knowing. “Ensuring the situation is fully resolved.”
Your stomach twists, but you keep your stance firm. “Permission to check on him, sir?”
A pause.
Not hesitation, not refusal—just assessment.
Then, Erwin gives the faintest tilt of his chin. “Go.”
You don’t waste a second.
—
The cold air hits you as soon as you step outside. The tavern’s warmth is instantly swallowed by the crisp night breeze, the scent of rain still lingering from the earlier drizzle. Lanterns flicker dimly against the darkness, casting long, stretching shadows over the cobblestone streets.
And then—you see him.
Levi stands a few paces ahead, his back to you, his posture rigid but controlled. Even from here, you can see the way his fingers flex slightly at his sides, how his head tilts just barely, listening to something unseen.
There’s a man at his feet—conscious but slumped against the wall, groaning, as if the fight had been drained out of him in an instant.
Levi had taken care of it. Of course he had.
But you don’t care about the drunk.
You care about him.
You step forward, boots tapping against stone, and his head immediately shifts at the sound. He doesn’t fully turn—doesn’t have to. He already knows it’s you.
“Captain.” Your voice is steadier than your pulse. “Are you alright?”
For a moment, Levi doesn’t respond. He exhales slowly through his nose, a habit you recognize—one he does when he’s recalibrating, shifting from fight to stillness.
Then, at last, he turns.
The dim lantern light catches against the sharp angles of his face, highlighting the slight furrow between his brows, the tension still visible in the line of his jaw. His uniform is slightly rumpled from movement, but there’s no sign of injury—no blood, no bruising, just Levi, standing in the quiet aftermath of something already finished.
He studies you for a moment, eyes scanning—searching, checking—as if making sure you’re still in one piece.
“Tch.” He clicks his tongue, looking away. “You should be inside.”
You step closer, searching his face. “So should you.”
Levi exhales, the barest hint of exasperation beneath the breath. “Did Erwin send you?”
You shake your head. “I came on my own.”
At that, something flickers in his expression. Not surprise—more like quiet understanding.
Your fingers twitch slightly at your sides, unsure of what to say, unsure if there’s anything to say that he’ll actually listen to. So instead, you just—watch him.
The lines of his face, the way the dim glow of lanterns traces the edges of his expression, how his eyes—normally so impassive—seem darker under the weight of the night.
For a moment, neither of you speak.
Then—
“You’re shaking.”
It’s so quiet that you almost miss it.
You blink. “What?”
Levi’s gaze flickers to your hands, and you realize, belatedly, that he’s right—your fingers are trembling, ever so slightly, still buzzing with the leftover adrenaline from the evening.
You open your mouth to dismiss it, to say something lighthearted, to wave it off as nothing, but—
Levi moves first.
His hand—warm, calloused, steady—reaches out. He doesn’t take yours, doesn’t grip your wrist, but he touches. A brush of fingertips against your knuckles, a fleeting connection, just enough to ground you in place.
Your breath catches.
It lasts only a second.
Then, just as quickly, he pulls away, as if realizing what he did, as if catching himself before he lingers too long.
You swallow, staring at him.
“Go inside,” he murmurs, voice quieter than before.
Your heart is still hammering, but it’s not from the cold anymore.
“…You’re sure you’re okay?” you ask, softer this time.
Levi holds your gaze, something unreadable in his own.
Then, with the barest tilt of his chin—
“I’m fine.”
And this time, you believe him.

You move with almost frightening speed around the countless buildings, escaping the hands of the blonde male behind you by razor’s edge. Why the hell are the survey corps so much stronger than the military police? So skilled with the 3D manoeuvre gear that it’s almost scary, haunting after you so fast that it’s getting harder and harder to escape their grasps. But everything is going according to plan, right? You need to get yourself caught, you need to join the survey crops, you-
“Move to the left. Just keep going and don’t look back. You are skilled enough to escape them alone.”
Your glossy eyes dart towards your husband in disbelief. No, he can’t be serious about what he just said. That would mean…
“But we’ll get separated”, you argue.
Levi is fully aware of what he’s asking from you. But given the neck-breaking speed and the skills of the people behind you, the risk of getting caught is greater than the benefit of staying together. And that man…Even though he promised you the world, Levi could tell by the sound of his voice that he isn’t trustworthy. He might go to hell, he might die in the process, but you.
There is absolutely no way in hell he’ll risk your life.
At least you’d be safe, even if it means he’ll be away from you for some time.
“I never intended on taking you with me, (y/n). If we’ll get separated, I will come and find you here. I promise.”
His words don’t make any sense while you shake your head in mistrust. But you agreed on going together, all four of you. Why would you stay behind, why would he even suggest something like that?
“(y/n), I don’t want to lose you because of a mission. Please, move left.”
You don’t know what to do, mind completely clouded by anger, fear and uncertainty. You would trust your husband with everything, laying your life right into his hands. But this? This means you might never see again, this means he’ll leave you here for who knows how long, this means your husband could lose his life for freedom.
“But what if I lose you?”
“You will never lose me. I promise I’ll come back to you, just trust me with this one. I love you, (y/n).”
You take a deep breath, the next intersection coming closer and closer. It’s time to make a decision.
Will you move left like Levi begged you to or will you move right and followi him like you initially planned?
With a load of gas you propel yourself past a building, moving with horrendous speed down the tight side streets of the underground.
One last glance. One last glance into the eyes of the man who is the only light in your life, one last glance into the cold blue eyes of the man who is now chasing after him.
“You better come back to me, Levi Ackerman”, you mutter to yourself while holding back bitter tears.
-a few years later-
“Take it or leave it. I will find someone else who’ll buy it.”
“Are you up on sale too?”
That’s enough. With a swift motion, you pierce through the man’s dirty hand with your knife before turning around and leaving his house in company of his pathetic screams.
It’s been years. Years since Levi go taken away from you by that blonde man with blue eyes, years since he promised that he’ll come back.
But he never did. With fast and skilled motions, you swing around, making your way back home before the military police starts getting on your nerves again.
Everything seems so cold since he left. Your worn-down house, the bed you used to share, your whole fucking life. Who knows what happened after they got caught. Are all of them still alive? Maybe something went wrong, maybe they die-
No. You shake your head vehemently. This is simply not possible. Levi Ackerman would never die through the hands of a titan, let alone a member of the survey corps. That’s absolutely impossible, unbelievable to say the least. Maybe he started a new life on the surface with his friends, lying under the sun right now while eating the most exquisite food.
Good for him. If you weren’t still stuck in this hell.
A few harsh knocks on the door rip you out of your dreams.
“Who the hell is this?”, you grumble to yourself.
You don’t expect any visitors today. To be exact, you never expected anyone to visit you. So who could this be? The man you threatened before? The military police officers you stole from? Whatever, you will figure it out somehow.
But when you open the door, you aren’t greeted by the face of a disgusting officer. No, you stare right into ice-blue eyes.
“When will you finally let me get her?”
He missed you every single day since you parted your way back then in the underground city. How are you? What are you doing? Are you even alive? Levi’s hands clenched into fist just by the thought of it. Countless lonely night that felt so empty without you by his side, countless people he lost during the process. If you knew what happened…
“Is a woman really that important to you? She must be someone really special if you’re still asking about her”, Erwin commented, staring at the captain sitting in front of him with eagle eyes.
Yes, he does remember you. The girl who took the left path back then, the only one him and his squad weren’t able to catch.
“She is my wife. If you don’t allow me to get her, I will quit my service”, Levi suddenly barked at his commander.
How unexpected. Even though Erwin could tell that you’ve meant something to him when he decided to leave you in the underground city, he never thought his relations to you would go that deep.
“Fine, if that’s what you wish I’ll go and escort her.”
“I will get her myself-“
“You have a job to do, remember? I will take Moblit with me, it shouldn’t take long, given she cooperates.”
Did he even have a choice? One look into Erwin’s face showed him more than urgent that this is nothing to be discussed. And even though he hates to admit it, somehow Erwin is right. These brats were unpredictable, along with Hange.
“Fine”, Levi finally grumbled.
As long as you’ll finally be back in his arms, he won’t complain.
“You”, you hiss through gritted teeth.
Your whole body begins to tremble in thick rage, eyes darting right through his spoiled soul. His eyes haunted you in your dreams, how he talked to your husband back then, how they pushed his gorgeous face into the dirt. You will never forgive him. No, nothing in the world could make you forgive the blonde man in front of you who stole your life away from you so cruel.
“Where is Levi?”
“Maybe if you calm down-“
“SHUT UP”, you immediately interrupt the other man behind him.
“You will pay for all these fucking years I had to live without him. You will pay for every sleepless night, for every tear that I cried. You will pay with your own pathetic life!”
With a swift motion, you lower the knife out of your sleeve, ready to hit his carotid artery with full force.
Until you suddenly fall to the ground, the last thing you are able to see being this asshole’s boots before everything turns black…
“I…hate…y-“
Silence, darkness, nothingness.
“You didn’t have to hit her this hard. Levi will definitely make you pay for punching his wife”, Erwin comments dryly before gently lifting your numb body over his shoulder.
“His wife, huh? No wonder she’s so feisty, what a pain in the ass”, Moblit remarks.
“I understand her anger. After all, I hid her husband for multiple years from her. Let’s see how she acts when she wakes up…”
-back at the base camp-
“Who’s this woman?”, Eren mumbles into his best friend’s ear, staring at the lifeless female body laying in front of Erwin’s feet.
“They just came back with her. But nobody seems to know who she is”, Armin clarifies.
Everything hurts. Your back, your head, your limbs feel like falling off every second. You feel like hit by a horse…Did the military police catch you? Did someone come for you? Impossible…
You rub your head, lids blinking against the harsh light. Where the hell are you? And why is it so damn bright here? This definitely isn’t the candle in the middle of your bedroom.
You lift your trembling limbs off the ground, groaning when a new wave of nausea rolls over you. God, why do you feel so bad? You can’t even remember what happened last. You were at the underground, you made a deal with that asshole, you returned home, it knocked.
It knocked.
Your eyes widen in pure horror when his face lights up in your head. He. He was there. The man who stole your life from you, the man who took your husband with him.
“I’m glad you’re awake, he should return every minute-“
“You.”
Your eyes roam around without an aim until his cold blue eyes meet yours.
“You took everything from me!” you scream on top of your lungs.
The air around you heats up immediately, all the voices quieting down in an instant when your trembling index finger darts towards commander Erwin Smith.
“You took my life from me, you stole my husband and now you kidnap me! I’ve had enough, you’ll pay for all your sins, for how miserable you made my life! Do you know how many lonely nights I begged for him to return, that I even started praying for him to come back home to me? You promised freedom but caged me to the underground in my hopeless dream of him returning someday!”
Again, you shoot towards him with your knife in your hand. Fuck, you hate the way hot tears start to sting in your eyes and take your sight, but you can’t help yourself. This man in front of you is the epitome of living hell, the reason you suffered all these goddamn years. You aim for his neck, ready to slice him open like a fish along with a toe-curling scream that escapes your trembling lips.
“Don’t.”
The sheer force of a pair of fingers wrapped around your wrist is enough to make you stop. This almost sounded like…
“Levi.”
“I have to explain all this to you calmly. Please put down your knife, (y/n).”
“You have some fucking nerve”, you mutter under your breath, eyes darting towards him for the first time in years.
He looks just like you remember him, figure roaming over you for a few inches, eyes as calm as the ocean, hair neatly trimmed. Yes, he is just as attractive as you remembered.
And alive.
And this is the first time you see him, after so many years.
“Where have you been all this time, huh?”, you cry out.
You free yourself out of his grasp, now storming towards him.
“What about the promise you made back then, that you’ll return to me?”
Your hands push against his firm chest harshly, fists slamming over and over against his tight muscles while all he does is standing there.
“You left me without saying goodbye, without even thinking about me twice. Do you know how much I cried that day, how much I missed my fucking husband?”
Tears stream down your face like a waterfall, voice so hoarse that it’s hard to cough out a single word that makes sense.
“Why didn’t you come back? Why did you leave me in the dark? Why-“
He can’t hold back any longer. Before you continue your ramblings, before you are able to hit him again, Levi wraps his arms around you and buries his face in the crook of your neck. God, how much he missed this, how much he missed the simplicity of holding his wife in his arms.
“I love you, (y/n)”, he breathes against your ear.
You see stars, feel like fainting, want to push him away while all you want is to be held at the same time. Countless nights you imagined what it would be like to meet him again, countless nights you pondered about his life, where he might live, what he is doing.
And now he’s standing in front of you, pressing you tightly against his firm body while all you can do is break down and cry in his inviting arms.
“Back then, I have asked you to move left because I feared what lies behind the walls. And I was right, (y/n). The things I saw, the countless lives the titans took. Isabel and Furan, they… They died on our first expedition. It wasn’t safe to drag you into this world. Even if I wanted nothing more than to hold you in my arms again, I figured it would be easier to know you live as far away from the titans and me than being in danger…”
“You idiot”, you spit into the face you learned to love long ago.
“I would rather die by your side than live alone at the safest place. Don’t you understand that all I wanted was to be with you?”
Your words echo through his mind, the past years replaying themselves in front of his eyes like a movie. It’s been so damn long. He should have asked about getting you sooner, he should have moved hell and earth to get you out of the underground.
“I’m sorry about all those years, (y/n). You were the only thing on my mind this whole time, I was longing for your touch, for your presence. I wrote a list of things I want to show you. I know how much I’m asking for, but please forgive me, please be by my side right here and now.”
Is it really this simple? Is one look in his lovely face enough to forget all those years you’ve waited for him? Your heart pounds hard against your ribcage, all pairs of eyes seem to be set on you. What are you supposed to do?
“A simple sorry won’t take away all those years I’ve waited for you.”
Levi swallows hard, this usual cool composure slowly but surely breaking away. Fuck, he messed up. He should have gone after you immediately, he should have ignored Erwin’s advice. If you leave him right here on the spot…His eyes widen in thick fear. No, this would completely tear him apart. After all, you are his precious wife, the love of his life, the only reason he kept going despite all the people that died in front of his eyes.
“But I won’t live in the past with regrets. I was hoping forward for this day so long, let’s enjoy it.”
And then you return his hug, wrapping your arms around his ribcage like you used to. Levi lets himself fall into your touch, soaks in the decent smell of citrons on your clothes. God, how much he missed this, how much he missed you.
“We will never return to the underground, my darling. Your place is right here under the sun.”
You press your lips against his hungrily, soaking up this precious moment. This is exactly how you imagined your reunion. Maybe a few years earlier, maybe being escorted by himself. But god, you can’t help but get lost against his mouth, your fingers re-discovering the valleys of his well-toned body.
“Huh, what’s going on here? HUH, DID I MISS SOMETHING!?”
Levi slowly removes his lips from yours, cold eyes staring darkly behind you. You follow his gaze, looking directly into the way too near face someone wearing glasses.
“This is my wife, shitty four-eyes. Can you stop bothering her?”
“WHAT? You never mentioned anything about a wife! Oh, what a gorgeous woman she is! And you’re just as small as Levi himself. Huh, maybe that’s what comes with living under the ground, right? But don’t worry, you will be just fine here! Apart from some titans here and there, and maybe titan shifters and don’t forget those-“
“Shut.Up.”, Levi hisses through gritted teeth.

your first kiss with these aot characters
warnings: smoking, but mostly angst and fluff! word count: 4,6k author’s note: in all of these scenarios, the reader and the character had been having tension build up over time, so the kiss isn’t completely out of nowhere fyi includes: armin, eren, mikasa, levi, hange, erwin, ymir, connie, jean, reiner, bertholdt, annie
⭑🪻 ⭒ 💜 . ✦ 🙈 . ⁺ . ✦ 🔮 . ⁺ . ✦ 🙈 . 💜⭒🪻 ⭑
it took armin all he had in him to finally close the distance between the two of you and kiss you. the fact that you were surrounded by your friends wasn’t able to stop him this time. he’d longed to kiss you for months now and the time was never right, but the way you kept holding onto his hand now, laughing at his jokes, eyes lidded as you covered your mouth with the palm of your hand to silence your laughter was really getting to him. you were just so cute, so beautiful in his eyes. the moment you set your drink on the window sill beside you, he knew he couldn’t waste any more time. his palm touched your cheek softly, eyes eager as he whispered your name, before pressing his lips onto yours, a kiss so sweet, so anticipated for. you felt yourself sigh in the kiss, your muscles relaxing by the warmth of your bodies being pulled closer together like magnets. as you pulled away, you stared into each other’s eyes with tenderness, a smile spreading on your faces, along with pink patches on your cheeks. you were so drunk on each other, that you almost didn’t hear your friend jean whistling at you, the rest of your friends clapping their hands and cheering you on. “fucking finally mate!” jean patted armin’s back in approval, as he put an arm over your shoulders. “he’s been planning this for months, y/n, did you know?” a smirk plastered all over his face. armin simply reached his arm to remove jean’s from around your shoulders, adding a “no touching jean” before locking lips with you again.
“can you quit being so mean eren? jean did nothing wrong!” you exclaimed as you pulled eren’s phone away from his fingers, immediately deleting the nasty text he’d sent to jean. “i’m typing “sorry, wrong person” instead… why are you like this?” you questioned him, heaving. once the new, proper text was sent, you locked his phone and gave it back to him, giving him a scolding look. “jean should keep to his own business. he knew about our date today, he didn’t have to facetime you when he very well knew you were with me. what is he trying to prove?” he scoffed, stuffing the phone back in his pocket, along with his hands, not attempting to go against you again. “jean’s my friend, eren. i asked him to call me, to check in with me. girls do this all the time, especially on first dates!” eren froze, slightly turning to side to look at you, a look of disappointment on his face, as he regretted what he’d just said to. “were you scared to meet me today, y/n? is that why you wanted jean to check in?” he asked. “that’s not it, eren, you know i was looking forward to our date. but it’s better to be safe than sorry, you know? what if i never made it to your place or if you’d fallen asleep and i had to go back home alone and something bad happened?” you trailed off, eren nodding as he understood what you meant. “i’m sorry, y/n, i see how i overreacted. frankly, i think jean’s been hitting on you for ages, i felt… threatened that he had the audacity to call you when he knows i’ve invited you over” he said, pulling your legs back into his lap, tracing his hand up and down your calf. “threatened? THE eren jaeger felt threatened?” you couldn’t keep your laughter as eren fake slapped your calf. “stop it, y/n! you know what i mean and besides… i really do like you. i wouldn’t simply allow anyone to steal you from me, especially not jean, especially not before i’ve even managed to do this” you were taken aback when he leaned his body over yours, pulling you closer by your legs and kissing you all of a sudden. you grabbed onto his shoulders for balance as you deepened the kiss, feeling him smile into it. you pulled away only to crash your lips on each other again and again. “you’re way too bold for someone who claimed to have felt threatened, eren” “shut up and make out with me, y/n”.
the moment you removed your headphones to step into the cafeteria, you heard mikasa yelling your name from some place behind you. as you turned around, you saw her racing towards you before almost crashing onto you, had she not placed her hands on your shoulders’ height, separating the two of you. she spoke, breathlessly “i’ve been calling for you, y/n! didn’t you hear me?” you gave her a guilty smile, pointing to your headphones in your hands. “sorry mikasa, i barely just took them off. what happened, though? are you alright?” “yes, everything’s alright, i noticed you and didn’t want you to walk alone. thought you’d seen me when i waved earlier, but it seems i was mistaken” she explained and gave a small laughter. “yeah, sorry, i’m terrible when on the street, i only look out for cars! you could be waving a banner at me and i probably wouldn’t notice it either!” you joked, making her laugh again. she was so beautiful when she laughed, you thought to yourself. a few seconds passed before either of you spoke again and mikasa was the one to break the silence. “uhm, you’re looking good today. meeting anyone special?” “you could say that, i’m just meeting historia for our weekly catch up” mikasa’s face dropped, her mouth forming and almost silent “oh”. “what makes historia so special to you, y/n?” you frowned at her question, as if she didn’t know how close the both of you had been for years. “uhm, she only is my best friend in the entire world? have known her since primary school? love her to death?” but mikasa wasn’t being too chatty all of a sudden and simply responded with another barely audible “oh”. (i swear, this girl) “so you’re not like… on a date or something?” you couldn’t help but laugh at her naivety. “you should tell this to ymir, she’ll be so mad someone mistook ME for historia’s girlfriend instead of her!” you joked in a low voice, “but please don’t tell anyone, mikasa, they’re not official yet”. and, again, another “oh”. “so… can i be special for you, but like this?” she questioned as he leaned towards you to kiss you on the lips. her soft touch made your heart beat faster and you quickly put your arms around her waist. as you broke the kiss, mikasa smiled at you. “thoughts?” she asked. your mind was racing and you couldn’t respond properly. you liked mikasa for so long that now that you’d finally kissed, you were at loss for words. “oh… uhm…” was all you mustered up. “copy cat” said mikasa right before leaning in to kiss you again.
levi never expected to kiss you. like, not ever. your relationship so far had been strictly professional, only turning to friendly quite recently. still, he’d never imagined you thought of him the same way he thought of you. you were sat in his office, hunched over a variety of sheets, post-it notes, pens and two coffee cups that’d gone cold long ago, neither of you bothering to fill them up, and instead sipping on the cold, bitter beverage. as your hands fumbled with the files, you kept on arguing with each other, trying to reach a conclusion, but your questions still remained, you couldn’t solve the mystery of the missing tax payments that man should’ve been paying. “y/n, you’re really not listening. i’ve told you a thousand times, this file is irrelevant to the case” “but HOW can it be irrelevant, ackerman? don’t you see how this man’s playing us with the dates? notice this detail here and-” you kept on explaining to levi, but he found himself staring at you, your voice steadily disappearing, your words not reaching his ears or his mind. “ackerman… are you still here?” you questioned, waving a hand in front of him, bringing him back to reality. “yes, y/n, i’m sorry. this case is really something and i’m too tired to reach a rational conclusion. let’s get some rest and we can revisit this tomorrow, what do you say?” he asked and only now did you notice how red his eyes were. probably as red as yours. “sure, ackerman, we’re wasting our time anyway” you stated while packing your things. “need a ride?” he asked, jiggling his car keys in front of you. “i’ve mine, but thanks! walk me to the parking lot?” you suggested before leaving the office together, levi locking the door behind you. he walked you all the way to your car and as you moved to sit in the driver’s seat, he put his arm on the door, preventing it from closing. “i’ll pick you up myself tomorrow and drive you home after work. you shouldn’t be going home on your own at this hour” “thanks ackerman, but don’t feel obliged to, it really is no problem” you explained as levi was hunching down to reach your level. “it really is, y/n” he gulped as he pressed his lips onto yours, making you jump slightly, breaking the kiss. “i’m sorry, y/n, i didn’t realise that-” an embarrassed expression spreading on his face, his hands awkwardly leaving the door frame. you quickly interrupted him “levi- i- i panicked, but… kiss me again?”. he looked back at you, his lips forming a sheepish smile. “i’m glad you transitioned to levi” locking his lips with yours again, giving you a goodnight kiss.
“no, if you look at the other person and step on it, it means you like them, if you don’t step on it while looking at them, it means you’re not interested. god, y/n, you need to work on your cigarette signals!” hange explained, taking a drag from their cigarette, blowing the smoke your way. “i’m new to this, i’m not supposed to learn it all in a day! plus, i shouldn’t be expected to learn anything, hange. isn’t it bad enough that i picked up this unhealthy habit from you?” you joked and laughed with hange as you shared a cigarette during your break. spending your breaks together had become tradition for the both of you. the new part was hange asking you to “take a drag” once, then again and again, until you actually bought a packet a few weeks later and offered them a cigarette. since then, there was no single break you wouldn’t spend together, smoking. it was intimate, in a way, that you only got to do this with hange and they’d admitted to only sharing their breaks with you, ever since you got accepted to the company. “you got me there! but you really should learn your smoking lingo soon or one might misunderstand your intentions, y/n” they said before dropping their cigarette on the ground, stepping on the fallen butt, looking at you. you quickly got the cue and dropped your own cigarette on the ground and stepped on it while maintaining eye contact with them. “for real, y/n?” they asked surprised, yet scooting closer to you from where they previously rested their back. “for real, hange” you hooked your finger in the loops of their jeans, tugging on them lightly before kissing them. a few moments later, when you broke the kiss, they looked at you mischievously, an almost criminal grin on their face. “and on company premises too, y/n? that’s kinda hot” “shut up and get back to work hange”. you were giggling at each other on your way in.
‼️DON’T LEAVE YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND AND ALSO DON’T SMOKE‼️
“is it okay if i come in? i know we usually have our meetings in my office, but this couldn’t wait any longer” erwin asked, peaking his head through your office door, not stepping in quite yet. “come in! what’s the rush?” you motioned for him to sit in the empty chair, but he lifted his hand up in refusal, taking a few steps closer to your desk instead. he positioned himself to lean his weight on the side of your desk, forcing you to swivel your chair to the side in order to face him. “we’ve been spending more and more time together, y/n, and, in all honesty, i’ve been quite enjoying it” with his arms crossed over his chest, he was a marvel to look at. “i mean… i guess so. overtime is overtime, but i’m also very glad to be spending it with you, you’re a great colleague” you said as you awkwardly bumped his arm with your fist. “that’s not what i mean” he said as he bowed lower to pull your chair closer to his, trapping you. “i mean i’m enjoying the time i’m spending with you, getting to know you better and also that i really like you, y/n”. you were left speechless, but in a good way. erwin admitting to having this kind of interest in you made you smile and you soon leaned your head closer to kiss him. “you’re too bold for kissing me in your office, y/n” erwin said playfully, stepping away from you as you grabbed a stack of papers and attempted to hit him with it for teasing you.
ymir was restless from the moment you met her at your usual hang out spot. you could tell something was off, she seemed so… nervous or maybe even impatient. she’d normally ask you to tell her about your day, but this time she never questioned it. when you decided to share what was new anyway, she kept stealing glances at you, not asking very many questions while you spoke. honestly, you were starting to feel a little uneasy, she almost behaved like a child who broke the tv screen and was trying to come up with a believable excuse as to what had happened. “ymir, just stop this and tell me what the hell is wrong?” you demanded, obviously annoyed by her behaviour. “listen, y/n…” she began to explain, sighing deeply, her eyes focus on the pavement. seconds later, she put her arms on your shoulders, keeping you in place as she spoke again, staring deep into your eyes now. “i really need to tell you something… it’s been eating me for so long and i just can’t-” and pulled you closer to her with one swift motion, pressing her lips onto yours. when you opened your eyes again, you found hers looking back at you expectantly. “is that all, ymir?” you questioned. “yes… that’s all… hope it’s okay?” you smiled at her, seeing how she was still feeling a bit too awkward about this. “i was hoping you’d do this soon actually. and to think you’ve had me here this entire time, being all… however you were before, and i thought something really bad had happened!” you sighed, relieved, as you took her hand in yours. “yeah, something IS wrong” she grabbed your other hand and placed it on her chest. “ymir, i think this is extremely inappropriate” you whispered, blushing. “no, no, just feel it! my heart's still beating out of my chest, y/n!”
connie kept begging you and your friend group to go camping for ages, but you regretted supporting his idea. he put himself in charge of finding a good spot, and, lo and behold, no spot was “the correct spot”. tired from walking for about two hours straight, you, jean and sasha convince him to settle down and set up your tents. it took ages, but you were finally settled. jean and sasha went to get wood for the fire as you and connie checked if everyone’s tents were secure and tied a rope from one tree to a second to hang your clothes to dry. “we make a good team, right, y/n?” he questioned, an earnest smile on his face. “we really do, connie. we should do this more often! but you need to work on your spot-finding skills!” you joked. as the day faded into night, you found yourselves covered in your sleeping bags, sitting around the fire. sasha was attempting to scare you with some murder mystery stories, but she was unsuccessful, as she’d mix up all the details. the constant talking of your friends and the warmth of the fire soothed you and soon you found yourself dozing off. you didn’t know how much time had passed when you heard connie whispering “shhhh… be quiet jean, she’s almost asleep”. your eyes remained closed, too sleepy to open. you felt connie moving from where he was next to you, scooting closer to your body, then throwing his arm around you to spoon you. “goodnight, y/n”, he whispered in your ear as he softly kissed your temple. your eyes opened wide at the unexpected kiss and you turned your head slightly, only to find connie looking back at you equally surprised. “i thought you were sleeping, y/n” he admitted shyly. “i was. kind of. goodnight connie” you pushed your head towards him, kissing him on the mouth. he quickly cupped your face, keeping it steady as he deepened the kiss. “we’ll… we’ll talk about this when we get back home. i’m not risking either of these two idiots making fun of us on the way home” he chuckled quietly.
you were pushing your cart through the cereal aisle, when you heard jean calling for you. he’d offered to help you with your grocery shopping and you didn’t have it in you to say no. jean was a literal sweetheart for always offering to help you with anything you might need, but he always seemed a bit distant when you were hanging out with your friends. it was a real privilege to have him all to yourself today and he seemed to be enjoying following you around quite a bit. “did you get the brown sugar you needed for your cake, y/n? cause this one’s on sale! should we get it?” you giggled at his eagerness to shop your entire list. “put it in the cart jean, can’t miss out on the offer you scouted!” he blushed, walking to your cart and setting the bag of sugar inside. “i came here to help, not to be made fun off, y/n” he teased, taking the cart from your hands and pushing it away, making you follow him. “it’s a joke. i really appreciate you coming along. shopping alone in these huge stores is boring” you explained, placing one of your hands on the cart, barely grazing his own. “oh so that’s why you called jean? to crack some jokes?” he chuckled, making more space on the cart handle so you laid both of your hands on it. “drop it horseface, you’re having more fun than i am. we even got your special treats for later” he side-eyed you, a grin decorating his face. “me having fun is only partially true. i’m also doing half of your chore for you” he said as he elbowed you lightly. “you’re getting treats in return AND you’re having a blast!” “that i am” he said as hunched down a bit to reach your lips and kiss you, forcing you on your toes to get closer to his level. you were utterly dumbfounded at the kiss, a kiss you’d been hoping for a while now, but jean went on with your grocery list. once you’d paid, you made your way out of the store, still very confused about jean’s unexpected reaction to kissing you. it was almost as if he kissed you with all he had, and then forgot he did it. as you were loading the bags in the back of his car, you cracked the question, unwilling to wait any longer. “why are you being so cold right after our first kiss, jean?” he turned towards you in an instant, eyes wide, almost in terror. “after our what? what are you talking about, y/n?” “jean! you kissed me! in the cereal aisle? like 20 minutes ago?” “I DID?” he almost shouted before realisation reached his face. “but it came so naturally, y/n, i didn’t… god i just ruined our first kiss!” (what a bimpo, i love him)
“i can’t believe you dragged me to that bar, y/n! it was terrible!” reiner couldn’t hold back his laughter, his hand on his stomach as he reminisced your unexpected night at the bar. “you can’t complain, you were having a blast reiner! AND you had the cutest guy hit on you! he was so 2014 harry styles, i’d be drooling if i were you!” you managed to say in between your own fits of laughter. “Y/N! that guy made me feel so uncomfortable! he was so pushy! and also, i thought it was obvious i was on a date with you!” he explained, his laughter gradually falling silent. your own laughter was also cut short. staring back at reiner, you noticed the small, soft smile on his face. “were we really, reiner? cause you never like… asked me out properly?” “ah, yeah, i didn’t” he admitted, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. “it was heavily implied, though!” he exclaimed, chuckling. “too bad i didn’t catch the cue then, it would’ve been a killer first date!” you smiled back at him, scooting closer. “reckon? cause that guy was kinda stealing me from you” you both laughed again, the silence that fell between you feeling comfortable. “i can handle it. but, i’d rather know if we go on other dates from now on” you said, staring awkwardly at the ceiling. “you will, you will” he said, still giving you a small smile. “can i kiss you, y/n?” you felt your heart stop as you looked back at him. “you have to ask me this?” “what can i say, i’m the king of consent!” he said, lifting an eyebrow and reaching his fingers to lift your chin towards him before connecting his lips with yours. you spoke again after you’d pulled away from the kiss. “so… when’s our next date, self-proclaimed king of consent?” you giggled, softly bumping him with your shoulder. “quit it or i’ll go back to that harry styles guy!”
“is it okay if i hold your hand, y/n?” bertholdt shyly asked. your shift had finished a few minutes ago and you were walking to the bus stop together, a habit of yours since you two became closer. yet, the hand holding was a first and it made your heart skipped a beat. “i’d love to!” you responded and extended your palm towards him. he quickly intertwined his fingers with yours, as you walked the remaining distance. you continued to chat away as per usual, your connected hands not causing any change in his behaviour. you took your seats next to each other on the bus, still not breaking the link between you, not even when bertholdt tried to grab your backpack as well to set it between his legs, creating more space for you to sit. the air was comfortable between you on the way home and you were so stoked he’d finally made a move, but now it was your turn. “i love the rides home ever since we started taking the bus together, you know?” you admitted and it brought a smile to his face. he stared back at you with tender eyes as he nodded “yes”, rubbing his thumb on your soft skin. you reached your hand and traced his thigh, resting it between his legs. bertholdt flicked at the sudden touch, but didn’t do anything to remove your hand. “bert… look at me, please”. now that you had his undivided attention, you stood up as discreetly as you could to reach his face and, finally, kiss him, a thing you longed to do for a few weeks now. bertholdt returned the kiss, his hand leaving yours to rake through your hair instead. “y/n i didn’t… expect this to happen but wow” he said and giggled, pulling away from the kiss, his hand still caressing your hair and scalp. “you seemed like you wanted me to kiss you, bert” “i did, i… really, really did… but can we stop now cause that weird third floor lady is staring at us and licking her lips and i feel violated and exposed?” you panicked at his words as you turned the other way to see how that lady was indeed giving you some… questionable looks, to say the least. you couldn’t help but laugh out loud the moment your eyes met bertholdt’s again, hiding your face in his neck to hide your embarrassment. “wanna get off at my place instead? we can order take out!” “it’s a plan, y/n!” he said, still unable to conceal his laughter.
annie was always distant and that was a turn off for everyone. except for you. the more she’d tease you and then avoid you, the more you found yourself infatuated with her. “are you coming over, annie? still ignoring my texts smh” you text her, not expecting the “omw” prompt response. everything was ready, the way you felt annie would enjoy. red wine, soft blankets and her favourite take out, which you did your best to keep warm, as she was continuously running late. the knock on your door mere moments later was enough to pull you out of your trance. “i’m here. what now?” “someone’s moody...” you said, guiding her inside. “what’s the matter?” “not much, y/n. i just don’t understand why we couldn’t hang with everyone else like we normally do” she scoffed, kicking off her shoes and hanging her coat. “whoa, okay, i didn’t realise spending time with me was such a burden to you” you blurted, your words making her freeze. “don’t feel obliged to do me any favours, annie, i just wanted to have a quiet evening with you for once. you’ve been playing me for months and i thought this was just your way of expressing yourself, but i was wrong. you just don’t like me and this wasn’t teasing. it was you blatantly making fun of me in front of our friends” you couldn’t help but snap at her, her cruel reaction to you inviting her over finally doing the trick. “y/n, i-” she began, but you wouldn’t let her speak, wouldn’t let her humiliate you again. “y/n this and y/n that. you don’t like me and that’s fine. but don’t play me like rag doll, okay? i’ve been asking everyone what food you like and what kind of a date you might enjoy and i actually put effort into planning this tonight, and you’re only coming here to not even acknowledge the effort? to not even give me a chance?” she was staring at the floor, unable to meet your gaze. “enough of this annie, please go” you said as you handed her back her coat. “thay’s not it, y/n...” she said, fidgeting with her ring. “what is it then?” you tried to contain yourself, you were on the verge of tearing up. “it’s just… you’re so cool and beautiful and everyone loves you and they all said how you were so excited to plan this and i don’t feel like i deserve this… you’re too good for me, y/n and i don’t know what to do to be better for you...” she sniffed and you realised you might be on the verge of crying, but annie was already at it, as she used the outer side of her palm to wipe away her tears. “annie, i-” “no, y/n, you’re right. i’ve been nothing but shit to you because i don’t know how to deal with this, with my feelings… i’m so sorry, y/n… i’ll just go” she took her coat from your hands and turned around but you stopped her by not letting go of the coat, still grabbing onto it. “please stay, annie. i’d really like it if you did” you admitted, now crying your eyes out as well. you felt the tug on the coat loosening as she took a step towards you. “i know this won’t fix shit but can i kiss you, y/n? hope it isn’t too much to ask” she sniffed again, not quite returning your gaze yet. “i’d like that, annie” she half smile, as she wrapped her arms around you and crashing her lips onto yours.
