I don't deny being an #OldGay but I've never heard of this variation to the #HankyCode .

I can see it being a gesture of equivalence…homologous, if you will…if the other party involved also has a turtleneck they have to keep on.

My university's graduate student government hosts a "mental health awareness week" once a year. This year, the executive board wants everyone to wear green bandanas for mental health awareness instead of the classic green ribbon. Day 23: #Unity I had the honor of art directing and coloring this illustration for #ServingPride drawn by the amazing @bixby_baron "Out In Public" illustrates the ways queer people from the early 1900s would find one another through codes and signals. From Serving Pride: "The first queer subcultures arose among working class people who, unlike elites, did not have space to socialize in their homes. Instead, they found privacy in public: Saloons, street corners, rooftops. Sound familiar? ...
