Continuing my first rewatch of Hannibal since binging it a few months ago and I swear to fuck...

The stretch of episodes between when Will shows up in Hannibal's office in his freshly showered and clean clothed state being all "I have to deal with you and ...my feelings about you" while looking up at Hannibal through his lashes as though 'aw shucks-ing' and acting vulnerable is gonna skate him past trying to have Hannibal murdered.

And the thing is that it DOES. It actually fucking works. Will can assume Hannibal's point of view and he knows Hannibal wouldn't be able to resist a contrite version of himself. One who made sure to arrive freshly groomed and wearing aftershave like a nervous prom date.

From then on Will is so sure of himself. He's gonna draw Hannibal out into the open and prove he was right about him being a manipulative murderer. He just needs to dangle the bait and reel him in. And the only bait Will has to offer is himself so...

Will gives Hannibal the perfect friend. One so interesting and malleable and open to suggestion, who intellectually spars with him, double entendres and all.

And yeah it backfires. Sure, he has a few interesting dreams. Can't even blame the encephalitis anymore for waking up panting and sweat soaked now... He's just been dreaming about Hannibal calling him beloved and talking about love before he arranged for Hannibal to be bound at his mercy and squeezed so tightly against a tree that he explodes in a gush of bodily fluid....

Man... Will really fucked around and found out huh?

The two of them sitting on the desk side by side not looking at each other and talking about how they'd kill each other with their hands and how satisfying they'd find it might be the horniest goddamn scene I've watched in memory.

I would argue episodes 2x07 through the end of season 2 are all foreplay, drawn out and delicious and heady because both of them KNOW it's a bad idea and yet they cannot resist it.

That we reach the season finale. At long last, the climactic ending where we get the anticipated penetration that Hannibal and Will really want, mind body and soul.

Yes it's with a knife but that's how these two relate. Mark my words this show is a fucking will-they won't-they romcom with violence in the place of tenderness and every other story beat the same.

In regards to watching “Hannibal,” when does it get good?

I personally think the first episode is one of the best episodes, and the first season is pretty great throughout. but if you're asking about the gay kind of good, 2x07 is sort of when it turns into the murder husbands show.

oh god club 57 by bastille 100% i literally hyperfixated on that song and everything related to it for a solid four months earlier this year . last.fm says i listened to it like 350 smth times which actually feels like a really small amount considering how much time it was just on my mind in general

if i had to pick another one that i like more sonically though (rather than because my brain decided to imprint on it for no reason) i would choose bike dream by rostam :3 its the only song out of my top 5 played this year that i never put on loop to raise its play count -- i just found the time to listen to it that much throughout the year <3 gives so many happy brain chemicals

ooh ooh story time!!! it was absolutely fucking amazing!!!!! for the sole reason that: late in the evening before my birthday i was watching hannibal with my sister and . i shit you not . right as the clock struck midnight on my birthday i got to watch 2x07 will graham strut into hannibals office with his fancy ass hair talking about his "feelings" about hannibal that was the absolute most insane moment of my life 100% unparalleled . nothing else that happened that day mattered compared to will graham and his slutty salmon shirt of seduction

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

ooh 2023 waw. hmm ill start an art class at school next year which im hyped about!!!! hopefully it will motivate me to finish some hannibal/other fanart lol since i doubt ill have more than one or two of my current wips done by then </3

i think overall im just excited to get into new things that i dont even know about yet !!!! if you had told me even earlier this year that i would be hyperfixated on hannibal i would not have believed you at all but . here i am . i found so many new interests this year and hopefully that trend will continue <3

also just really cant wait for it to be summer again its not even technically winter yet and im already so done with the cold sjvbdsvkjds

also reading red dragon earlier so it was miriam's scenes that had led will to knowing who hannibal is (kind of cool), still i feel bad for miriam

will being out of BSHCI all i could do was laugh because of his words:

"Why did Hannibal not just kill you?"

"Because he wants to be my friend."

+ will paired with an awkward smile while chilton was not very impressed

THE CHANGE IN WILL'S FACE IN THIS IS DEVASTATING but i was still gagged when i heard his reply

AND THEN HE RESUMES THERAPY, WHEN I WATCHED THIS THE FIRST TIME??? I WAS SO CONFUSED (now i really had to pause a few times because he looked so good and maybe MAYBE he changed his aftershave because hannibal didn't like the last one lmao)
