How do you think gender-swapped Wednesday and Donovan would go?

It would probably be a Harold and Maude-type situation.

For those kids who've never seen that 1971 cult classic, Harold is a young man obsessed with death and faking suicides. He's pretty much Wednesday in male form (introverted/withdrawn, detached) without the gothic look. He has a yearning for that something more (which obvs echoes canon Wednesday's yearning for better partners [Donovan] to sate her intrigues/participate in better adventures than school with) and forms a unique friendship/eventual romantic relationship with Maude, a spirited 79yo woman. She's pretty eccentric

I don't think Donovina would be like Maude, though. She'd be the same broken town Sheriff Galpin, but her internal pain from her husband having turned Hyde would've made her evolve from an outwardly kind sheriff's deputy to a stone cold, assertive Sheriff who misogynists would call a bitch.

Women process trauma differently from men, that's just facts. Women are twice as likely to develop PTSD, often internalizing responses as anxiety or depression, while men may externalize with anger or substance abuse (like Donovan does in canon). It's all influenced by the types of trauma experienced (e.g., women more likely to experience sexual violence, men more likely to experience accidents or war-related trauma). Societal expectations and coping mechanisms are just plain different for cisgendered men and women.

So yes. It would be like Harold and Maude but with a "mean" (sharp) Sheriff Galpin who could probably match the barbs and quick wit of a male Wednesday. She might be easier to seduce because of the relative dynamics of an age gap that includes a younger male adolescent with a 50-something older woman.

I'm not calling her easy. I'm just working with the new male Wednesday and the new female Donovan, and as I just stated, the expectations of their respective genders is just different, period.

LOL! The height is another issue that affects them. Maybe ♂️Wednesday's greatest insecurity is his height, but Donovina wouldn't be as tall as Donovan/Jamie. I feel like she'd be closer to ♂️Wednesday's height, which would really attract Mr. Wednesday there.

Who would I cast as Donovina/Donna?

She's 5' 6" tall (one inch taller than my short Mexican ass), but that would mean she would be 7 inches taller than ♂️Wednesday still, which might mimic the canon partnership...however I don't think it would be realistic to make ♂️Wends a 4' 11½ inch little man. I would make him 5' 3", which is damn small for a man.

I can't find an actor who is 5' 3" but with platforms, this one would be just a little taller than Melissa McBride.

Don't laugh. Iñaki could probably pull it off. Cute, large eyes, Mexican, short. His arms/body shape is skinny af too, matching little Miss Ortega. A little training to get that bland, monotone, unaccented expressiveness in his voice and manscaping on the eyebrows and we're good to go. Maybe he can keep the hair, since ♀️Wednesday's got trademark braids.

To celebrate the 18th anniversary of 'Total Drama', here's my most epic-est masterpiece poster yet for "Total Drama Loud-Ed Island"

SUMMARY: When four fast friends (A white-haired boy from a huge family and three misfits from the cul-de-sac) are being sent to Camp Wawanakwa and met 22 other campers, they've unknowingly been cast on a reality TV show, surrounded by 22 actual teenagers! Join Lincoln Loud and the Eds as they endure summertime together full of crazy challenges, friends, rivals, romance...and total drama!

PREMISE/SYNOPSIS: What happens when 22 teens are spending their summer at a bug-infested, dingy, crummy, yucky old camp? They must compete against each other while surviving days or weeks of high-flying, adrenaline-pumping hilarity in the ultimate battle of skill and strategy full of extreme challenges, black flies, grizzly bears, teen drama, and even disgusting camp food in order to win the $100,000 grand prize on the hottest new reality TV show!

You may think you know this story, maybe even heard it before many times...but you've never one quite like this when you hear and learn what happens when 4 surprising newcomers are dropped off to the very same camp to spend their own summer, unknowingly aware...that they've been cast on the same show.

In this Crossover Alternate Universe (CAU), Lincoln Albert Loud, the white-haired family nerd and the only boy in a huge family with 10 sisters from Royal Woods, and the Eds (The strong, dim-witted yet kind-hearted lovable lug Ed, the intelligent, incredibly neurotic and nerdy neat-freak Double D (Edd), and the smug, hot-headed, quick-tempered, arrogant, self-appointed leader Eddy), three neighborhood best friends and misfits with different personalities from the cul-de-sac in the suburban town of Peach Creek, cross paths and became fast friends when they are about to be invited and forced to spend their entire summertime at a crummy old rundown camp called Camp Wawanakwa, where they met and participated against 22 other campers, who all showed up here with a dream of taking home the cash prize in a competition called 'The Wawanakwa Games'.

However, unbeknownst to Lincoln and the Eds, the entire competition is an elaborate cover and hoax for the hottest new reality show called 'Total Drama Island', and their fellow campers are really teenage reality TV contestants.

Lincoln and the Eds have to endure their now shared summertime full of insane challenges, friends, rivals, romance, and (of course) total drama as they are about to be surrounded entirely by 22 real teenagers, who have divided into the two teams based on their personalities -- The "Screaming Gophers" team consist of loner Gwen, cool guy Trent, queen bee Heather, geek Cody, dumb princess Lindsay, wannabe Beth, psycho hose beast Izzy, party guy Owen, sister with attitude Leshawna, eye candy Justin, and schemer Noah; and the "Killer Bass" team consist of funniest guy and party animal Geoff, surfer girl Bridgette, brickhouse DJ, jock Tyler, sweet girls Katie and Sadie, type-A C.I.T. Courtney, home-schooled boy Ezekiel, delinquent Duncan, female bully Eva, and dweeb Harold.

Just like any other reality show, Lincoln and the Eds are going to live alongside their fellow campers for the summer (The Eds with the Screaming Gophers and Lincoln with the Killer Bass). And although the camp is real, what's very, very, VERY real is that Lincoln and the Eds are unknowingly about to become the stars of... Total. Drama. Island!

These 4 fast friends and surprising newcomers are being thrown into the most extraordinary situation yet, and our 22 teenage campers are going to give them the insane experience of their lives as Camp Wawanakwa and reality TV will never be the same.
