Basically in my au Vale is like, idek, a government spy that left the services after uncovering some scam that was going on but he was weirdly embroiled and had to leave to avoid prison. Marc is a mercenary for hire of sorts, couldn't be a spy for the country because his psychometric test deemed him a little crazy. So they hired by the agency and they are matched. They get to this beautiful villa somewhere in southern Europe in city. Bump into each other and realise they are supposed to be fake married for their missions. It's like, immediate chemistry. In the same house, thick sexual tension. Marc is blushing around Vale for no reason but they maintain some distance to work on their missions properly. Vale obviously aware of Marc's attraction and his own ability to draw people to him. They start fucking pretty early into their set up, but don't do the other domestic stuff that comes with it, don't really sleep in the same bed. It's intense hot dirty fucking and then back to work. Sex as a performance enhancement drug (for Marc atleast, Vale is a plain old hedonist). The company has them doing a bunch of crazy stuff all over Europe. They work well as a team. Vale has far more extensive experience and knowledge because he worked with the government. He's privy to information that helps them along in planning and strategy. Marc is great at the dirty work, remorseless at times. They have their first dangerous situation, Vale almost gets shot. And it affects Marc, he's shaken up. They come back and he's just clinging to Vale, unable to let him go, they finally sleep together the same time and Vale realises Marc is genuinely invested in this. Their fake marriage becomes a little less fake post that thing. I think over the course of more missions Marc catches up to Vale a little. Does a lot of his own research and reading. Vale gets a little paranoid about how Marc doesn't exactly need him anymore for the mental heavy lifting, and lbr physically Vale isn't at his prime and neither does he possess the ruthless physicality of Marc. They keep having these little skirmishes that don't fully rise to surface till a mission in Sepang. They are supposed to carry out an extraction where Vale gets injured and immediately thinks that Marc has gotten him injured so he has to take time off from field work for a while. Huge meltdown, almost compromise the mission itself. Decide to go their separate ways, some shenanigans ensue and they realise that the company might be instigating them to act out this way. Definitely a huge argument and the classic scene where they keep pulling out weapons from random places and shooting at each other while calling each other "honey" "baby" "sweetheart" "mi amor". Eventually they just start fucking. Marc crying as he gets fucked on the floor of the house they nearly destroyed. Telling how much they love each other. Finally decide they need to do something about this damn company if they want to be together. That's all I can think now but come back for more later!

Zin was a mess. His original design was so close to the Morpher's that I simply gave him small differences from the default and a little cloak.
It didn't feel special enough to me even though I have a character that isn't too different from his default (though I find Ravio's more acceptable because his cape and crowns are more distinguishable and unique) so I thought "more raptor" would help, and it did!

Secret Tunnel 🎵
Yes, I confess…I invented a tunnel through the Nirvata Plateau. We’ve established that the group (except Eri) are not proficient climbers - a decision I made because it’s more fun to have them walk around rather than just taking shortcuts. In this one case I made an exception and gave them a shortcut because I didn’t want them to have to backtrack all the way through the Promenade. The lion face is where they fought the Lynel, and the arrow is the tunnel I invented - it slopes upwards, so they end up on top of the plateau and thus have to paraglide down. (UPDATED TO ADD: Ha! Ha! Tears of the Kingdom came out and there are CAVES EVERYWHERE. I feel irrationally validated.)

Purah and the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab
Purah is Impa’s sister and the director of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, which is devoted to studying ancient Sheikah technology. Purah and her research assistant, Symin, are particularly focused on studying the Sheikah Slate. (Her colleague Robbie in Northern Hyrule studies Guardians.) Since Purah and Zelda are the top two experts in Sheikah tech, Eri had thought that maybe one or both of them could help Kaiba build another dimensional domain emulator to get everyone back home. That, of course, doesn’t pan out - but Purah is able to supply them with a new Sheikah Slate.
Why is Purah an eight-year-old girl, while her sister Impa is well over a century old? Basically, Purah discovered an anti-aging rune and…decided to test it on herself, as any good scientist does. It worked a little too well. This is how you encounter her in the game, which is why Eri isn’t surprised by her age.

“Well, the only problem with Force Theory is that we don’t exactly understand how Force manifests or why it seems to stick to some people,” Purah was explaining to Kaiba. “Just after the Calamity was defeated, Princess Zelda was able to power a dead Guardian just by being near it, but that ability has subsided over time. We don’t know why. Link can still do it sometimes, and none of the rest of us have been able to manage it at all.”
“Well, hasn’t the Princess’ sacred sealing magic also faded?” Eri said absently, not looking up from the little metal spring she was fiddling with. “While the Master Sword’s is still intact?”
Purah stared at her. “What?”
Eri looked up. “Um…I mean…it makes sense for Force to be related to the sacred sealing power, doesn’t it? If you think about all of the evil-repelling swords throughout history that have been Force-powered, then you can extend the same logic to the Master Sword if you look at the Sacred Flames as a manifestation of Force.”
“You,” Purah instructed. “Over here, with us.”
The Force Theory is a 100% fan-cooked-up theory that I happen to love, so I’m shoehorning it in. It’s a long and very well-thought out treatise on the source of all magic in Zelda games. If you’re a Zelda geek I highly recommend reading the original post, but understanding Force Theory is in no way something that will enhance your understanding of the story in Ten Thousand Year Elegy. It’s just a fun little throwaway bit I put in there to amuse myself.
