When Morrigan told Hawthorne and Cadence about her apprenticeship with Squall, I feel Hawthorne had such a strong reaction because he is the only one who knows/met Squall. So he understands and realizes how much more serious a threat it is because to him, Ezra is not just a story (a real one) of a person, he is an actual person he has seen.

I want to say it's more grounding, but I don't feel like it's the right word, like when people say you don't fully believe it until you've seen it?

Had a brilliant dream where Squall hosted a horrible dinner party in some sort of Gossamer in-between-space for Morrigan, to which she invited Jack and Hawthorne to keep her company. Jack and Hawthorne were trying to find ways to kill him through the Gossamer while he served up a bunch of elaborate woven dishes to try and impress all of them. So uh. I guess I have Nevermoor dreams now?
