Okay, you know what? I kind of like the reasoning behind Bruce not wanting Damian to stop being Robin in the last issues of Batman and Robin. Bruce thinking Damian doesn't need him and will not stay with him if it's not for Batman and Robin makes sense. Damian came to Gotham to be trained by Batman and to be Robin, and Bruce tried to keep him away from the Robin mantle. And then, he got sent back in time, and when he came back, Damian was Robin and he had built a relationship with Dick and Stephanie that he didn't have with Bruce yet. He stayed with Bruce after that because Bruce was Batman. So, Bruce feels insecure about his relationship with Damian , he knows the boy is independent af and he thinks the only reason he keeps coming back to him is only because Bruce is Batman, not because he wants to be with him.

This also reminds me of how Dick originally graduated from Robin to Nightwing. When he explained doing so to Bruce, Bruce is sad and takes it as Dick saying he is cutting ties with Bruce completely, and Dick has to reassure him he is not. It's a very sweet moment, and it shows that Bruce shares the same fear as Dick: that once they aren't Batman and Robin, the other will not want to see them.

The kids aren't the only one afraid to not be important to Bruce without the suits, Bruce is afraid his kids only stick around because of Batman and not because they love him.

I just thought of some very good dialogue between Crosshair and Echo and now I am tempted to write a fic of them in the very beginning after Echo first joins where Echo is just so stubbornly persistent and Crosshair is Crosshair-ing in the most 'walls up, let no one in' kind of way and it doesn't even need to have a plot it just needs to exist

Well… He isn't surprised. Jamil Viper doesn't get nice things. Not for more than a few months, anyway.

Every once in a while, life takes pity on him and throws some nice, agreeable news his way. Just enough so that he lets his guard down. Just enough so that he allows himself to think maybe things will get better. Just enough so that he can pretend he isn't chained to a fate he will never escape.

A letter to NRC, a plan that goes a little too well, a couple of upperclassmen who seem to genuinely love him for who he is and not who he pretends to be.

So of course it doesn't last. Life gives and life takes.

Better to be a cold asshole for a few weeks than to hear about it for years.

You know what effs me up it's that when Gwen thought she's not welcome in her home before talking to her dad she takes the picture of her and Miles and leaves, as the only thing from her home that she wants to keep, and when she reunites with her dad and they're happy together the first thing she does is going to find Miles cuz she just doesn't feel complete if she doesn't have Miles no matter homeless or not or whether she has a device to travel through dimensions or not or happy or not she will keep any part of Miles that she has with her and that's what matters most to her.

It just makes the fact that she was cornered by her father who didn't let her move on after Peter and Miguel and Jessica who were forcing her to stay away from Miles even worse. And the fact that her dad knew she found happiness based on that photo had so much impact on his character development. She's a child who wanted nothing more than to be with her friend and that was the one thing that she wasn't allowed or wasn't able to do, some failed to see that, and those who saw that took advantage of not just her feelings but also her personal problems and demonized her for having any feelings and problems.

And it's so great that she has all her friends now, the real friends, who actually care about her.

The things so far that I've put together that makes it clear to me that Armand and Louis were still in a 24/7 D/s relationship in Dubai:

The fact that in 1x02, instead of saying a simple yes or no when Daniel asked if Armand and Louis were together, Armand took it in a completely different direction, saying "I serve a god. It is my honor to serve."

In 1x05, when Armand was getting sassy with Daniel about the fact that Daniel was doing the interview, Louis said sternly that Armand was choosing to share his opinion despite the fact that it was "unsolicited". And Armand in response lowered his eyes, even though he wasn't facing Louis. Then Louis told Daniel about Armand's diet, and offered Armand's blood to him, without bothering to ask how Armand would feel about it. And when Armand began to get sassy with Daniel again, Louis simply interrupted him, scolding him without actually scolding him. And, while Armand looked salty about it, he still fell silent and didn't speak again. Louis then proceeded to discuss Armand's body and routine with Daniel as if Armand wasn't even there, and then possessively called Armand "My Rashid", in a low purr.

In 2x05, when Louis was talking to Daniel about their lives in Paris, he said that he and Armand had established their "proper roles", indicating that those were roles they still inhabited, otherwise he wouldn't have called them their "proper roles".

And of course there were the whips that we NEVER GOT TO SEE(istfg I'll stop being bitter about that one day, really):

Eddie will always get in the middle of the bucktommy relationship because that relationship started with Eddie and also ended because of Eddie. Tommy broke up with him because he knew Buck was in love with Eddie since the beginning, hence the "I'm your first, not your last".

Not only that but, while i have not doubt Buck is/was attracked to Tommy, he never loved him, he misplaced his feelings for Eddie because he doesn't want or isn't ready to admit to himself that he is in love with his straight (as far as he knows) best friend and what that would mean for himself.

A best friend who just left the state to be with his son and who Buck doesn't think will come back. And we are talking about a guy whose biggest fear is to be left behind.

So being in love with Eddie would not only endanger Buck's friendship with Eddie (in Buck's eyes), but right now would also mean that the love of his life just left him behind.
