I looked around the square, music filling my ears, a voice (clearly a man’s) singing beautifully along a guitar. I WAS supposed to do some errands for my mom, but my curiosity got the best of me and led me here. I see people circling the supposed source of the music.

I decided my mom can wait.

I run over, the music getting louder and louder the closer I come. I go through the people, apologizing as I try to see the those who were singing and playing.

As I’m finally at the front the group of people I see two men (both handsome, might I add) but one of them perked my interest, the one playing guitar… god those eyes.

Those eyes with the most vibrant and beautiful brown I had ever seen.

Those eyes which showed perfectly the passion he had by playing the guitar.

Those eyes which almost made my knees buckle which would have caused me to fall.

I soon realize that the same eyes that I was falling for where looking back at me, I smile back, not knowing what I should do.

Should I wave hello? Should I keep staring back?! What do I do?!?!

I decide to keep going with the eye contact, which he also does for the rest of the 2-3 songs, only breaking it when he needed to look at the chords.

They both finally end their performance. I soon remember the errands I still have to do for my mom. I turn around quickly and walk away from the horde of people. Now thinking about my mom’s scolding if I don’t hurry up.

I suddenly feel a hand gripping mine, I stop and turn around.

It’s him.

“Hola" he says, a slight pant noticeable in his voice, probably because he ran after me,but his voice is still somewhat charming.

“Hola" I say with slight chuckle still not knowing what to do.

“Well…um, I just…well I…I wanted to…mierda…WAIT UM…I-I”  He struggles with what to say.

“I’m (y/n) (l/n)”

“Hector… Hector Rivera…”
