𝙻𝙾𝙰𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 . . .

has been a model in some photoshoots

self care comes before anything else

𝙿𝙻𝙾𝚃 𝙿𝙾𝙸𝙽𝚃𝚂 . . .

claire was a child model. pushed into the business by her mother looking to make a quick buck; her soft, sweet face was what kept the family afloat. and while she insists that she adores her mother, deep (deep deep deep deeeeeeeeep) down she harbors some resentment towards her.

she was able to make a deal with her mother to “retire” from modelling when she was accepted into school... though when she needs that cash money she’ll do shoots here and there xx

because modeling wasn’t what she wanted / wasn’t what she felt confident doing, being forced into it damaged her self esteem a bit. she found herself feeling more critical of herself and knit picked at every little thing.  

self care saved her from herself. though her self hatred was quiet and only internal, she knew it was damaging, she was aware enough to realize she needed help. she needed some sort of positive reform. yoga came first, then meditation, then inner peace.

while it is somewhat sincere, she hasn’t squashed all her demons. she likes herself, ish. she likes her potential, she likes who she could become, who she is one the road to becoming. she’ll get there...?????

in the meantime, she is mostly posturing a positive attitude for herself while occasionally acting out and manipulating situations to fall in her favor.

𝙻𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃𝙽𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚁𝙾𝚄𝙽𝙳 . . .

    ϟ  —  she’s a gemini, perhaps this explains the many faces of her personality; sweet and optimistic vs. challenging and destructive.

   ϟ  —   shame and guilt are the primary emotions that she runs on. if you make her feel them even in the slightest... you can make her crumble.

    ϟ  —   she’s getting her degree in psychology. and ideally she’d become a life coach. or say fuck it all and open her own yoga studio.

    ϟ  —   she’s a night owl. her brain rarely quits working. and while she’d love it to shut off at times, it’s loud at night. leading her to wander out to try and find something to soothe her soul, silence her rushing thoughts.

    ϟ  —   she desperately wants to be positive. it’s who she is at her core and what she wants more than anything. if not for herself, then what she wants to project to everyone else. she wants you to see her efforts in kindness and proactive mindset. she pushes it for herself and wants to see it in you (errrrrrr your character?) as well

    ϟ  —   after being the quasi breadwinner for her family, her baby career keeping them comfortable, she feels compelled to provide for her friends as well. taking care of people is what she wants to do. whether it be bringing you coffee when you seem exhausted or lending an ear to irksome thoughts, she wants to be there for people. secretly, she would love it if the favor was returned from time to time.

“but mom i don’t wa--” her words were swiftly silenced with a steely glance. red covering her cheeks as she looked up at her mother with wide eyes. sad eyes. “you’re young claire, you don’t know what you want. this could be good for you... for us.” bingo. that was the keyword. us. she didn’t quite understand it yet, but each time her mother told her that something was for “us”, she felt her chest tighten. “think about the family, claire,” she’d hear her say. “we really need this,” made her little gut churn. guilt festered before she’d finally spit out, “okay mom! i’ll do the photoshoot!”

and her mother’s smile-- that smug smile always lit a fire within her. she was far too young to feel this much weight.
