For help developing problematic ocs try out these two methods

Method one: think of a problematic choice your oc will make. This could be; abandoning their children, killing a sibling, siding with the oppressor whatever. Work backwards from there. What are the implications of someone who would make that decision.

Method two: give them a motivation and work forwards from there. For example; they have the motivation to survive no matter what, they need to be the ruler of their society, they will not go against a specific religious/moral code etc. now make sure every decision they ever make is in line with that and crucially put things in their way that'll make them make fucked up decisions to get what they want.

Now! You have! A fucked up oc! And you will love them! I promise

Fic where Dustin recruits Eddie to help him get his brother a girlfriend because, “It’s getting kinda sad. He keeps going on a these dates when he’s obviously in love with his best friend. He just needs to see it.”

Eddie’s got literally nothing else to do so he says yes and then immediately gets hit in the face with:

(1) Dustin’s brother is Steve Harrington, same guy Eddie’s had a crush on since the dawn of time.

And

(2) Dustin is trying to set Steve up with an obvious lesbian.

Eddie takes all this information in and decides that it’s going to be hilarious so, “Yeah, I’m in. What do you have planned?”

Are Silver and Espio good parents? I'm sure Epsio has experience raising Charmy as he might know some basics.

They are fantastic parents! Sure, they're not perfect, they stumble and mess up sometimes, but their dedication is undeniable. And even then, they cover eachother's weak spots very, very well.

Espio is 100% the more capable parent, exactly because of what you mentioned with Charmy. He also just has a cooler head, which helps. Silver tries very very hard, but it just doesn't come as naturally to him. He still makes it work, though <3

and, similarly, gerson was presumably Alvin's?

except. gerson came back. it's the third sanctuary. a different dark world. but he's still here. and why?

because SUSIE remembers him. she wrote alvin the letter from him. she fought him and won and came back to look for him. because now he's in her memories, too.

following that logic, of course ralsei is in her memories too. more prominently, too, each time she returns to an adventure. he strays further from the blurry memories kris has, into something that's both theirs and hers

and, while we're at it, maybe ours, too. we shape him with our choices because we're part of this team too

Not Quite his Twin

Danny Fenton is not Danyal al Ghul. They’d wanted him to be, but he wasn’t.

He still remembers when he first woke up, his whole body feeling raw and ill-fitted. Even his mind felt wrong, his memories not quite his own.

Which, he supposes, they weren’t.

Because Danyal is still dead. Executed on the orders of the Demon’s Head for failing to live up to his twin.

But the spurned heir would make a perfect figurehead to build legitimacy for a coup, so a splinter sect of the League stole away some of his remains before they could be disposed of. They may not have had permission to access the Lazarus Pits, but they could still turn to some more unorthodox methods of attempting resurrection. A combination of cloning, a few stolen and processed samples of Lazarus Water, and pieces of necromantic rituals.

And it almost worked.

Almost.

The body they constructed did indeed come to life, and clearly possessed at least some of Danyal’s memories, but it wasn’t him. The memories were locked behind a barrier, present in abstract but not felt. This thing they created could never pass for the deceased heir, and thus could never be the figurehead they wanted. So they decided to dispose of him.

But the clone’s memories had shown him this sort of betrayal before, and he did still have some of the original’s skills. He struck first, killing several of their agents and managing to escape the lab.

He had no idea what to do next, but at least he was free. Free to form his own life, to become someone unique rather than just not-quite-Danyal.

the fact that maomaos stated multiple times clearly that she likes it when jinshis himself more (not the pretty sparkly persona) and acts more his age (as opposed to faux mature and fake composed) drives me a little insane actually

theres a small part of me that thinks the reason Chilchuck stayed with the party and went back in the dungeon in the first place was because he didn’t want to leave Laios alone. That Laios was moreso the reason he stayed.

forever thinking about how marcille and laios have such a richly weird and funny friendship dynamic that people I see tend to write off as "god she hates his ass" but in reality it's the frustration of one neurodivergent weirdgirl to another neurodivergent weirdboy who has no concept of masking, has never had to mask, and simply doesn't know how to mask making their entire group come across as "the weirdo freaks" despite her best efforts to not be labelled as "weird" probably her entire life
