Sometimes I think about how lucky everyone in Xianle was that Honghong-er didn't die until after the kingdom fell. That kid had all of the accumulated misfortune the Kiln could collect on his shoulders. In a world where fortune and misfortune cannot be created or destroyed, but only change targets, I suspect that anyone anywhere near Honghong-er at the time of his death would have found their lives taking a drastic turn afterwards...

Anti: I don’t get Harmione.

Me: What do you mean?

Anti: I don’t get the ship. Why do people ship it? I’ll never understand it.

Me: I think it’s pretty simple really. You like Romione, right?

Anti: Yes

Me: Do you like Ron?

Anti: Yes

Me: Do you like Hermione?

Anti: Yeah

Me: Do you think they are good friends?

Anti: Of course

Me: Do you like Harry?

Anti: He’s alright. He’s not that interesting of a character tho.

Me: Do you have an imagination?

Anti: Obvi. Doesn’t everyone?

Me: Now, think: not everyone is gonna have the same opinions as you. There are people that like Harry and Hermione and ship them because they see them as such good friends they see the potential in taking it to the next level.

Anti: But they have no chemistry and have no romantic attraction towards each other.

Me: Both can be argued using subtle hints that are sprinkled around in the books. The groundwork is all there; all you gotta do is have an imagination to fill the holes. And you don’t have to do it if you’re not a fan of the ship. I just wanted to be clear on why a lot of us ship it.
