first things first smile and laugh when you and your best friend are in the same kindy class dont bring up the fight you had in preschool smile awkwardly and wish you stayed friends when she asks to sign your shirt on the last day of year four

cry silently at your desk when your best friend is in another country on holiday wish he stayed and wish youd stayed wonder if youd recognise his laugh if you met again all these years later wonder if he would recognise your smile lend him your books once or twice then dont let him touch them again let his brother give you his boots in terraria the first time you play explore minecraft maps and minigames together stare at the dark ceiling of his bedroom on the cot next to his bed wonder both when this will end and hope it will stay forever smother the feeling to run and never look back laugh becuase you dont what else to do when you hear he came home crying on the last day of year four because you were leaving

dont cry when you and your dad drive to your new house hours away from home read through the night as your cat and mother sleep on the floor of you and your brothers new bedroom until they find somewhere to stay

dont make more than a few friends at your new school read and dont look up cry and cry and cry

highschool now you wish youd stayed friends. wish youd never left talk to half friends and wish you would disappear and you do

next three years youre nothing more than a ghost wish you could go home more than anything but is it even home anymore? dont recognise your reflection anymore would they recognise you?

back to school now struggle struggle struggle hope is cracking its way through you watch your friends instagram stories and wonder if you want to be with them turn away and try to do your homework

write this shitty poem under the darkly setting sun in march with a sore and scratchy throat wish you were still 10 on the last day of year four

11. a WIP you’d like to finish someday

there's this one fic about the post-mike's-coma tazercraft reunion that I've had lying around since like January and I would really love to finish it... it's just a bit scary to work on because every time I open the doc I go "oh god I can't post this people will Know" (I don't know what they will know but they'll Know). but it is a fic that is very close to my heart. just maybe also so close that it's scary to consider posting it. you understand...

and also well since I just mentioned it in your askbox I would really love to finish some fic about ballroom dance someday. and the Fitpac one is the furthest I've ever gotten into one (actually that one and the one about Cellhalo doing a tango together that I wrote in like. May 2023. based on someone else's tumblr post. I even planned out an entire choreography for that one. alas. well it's whatever. I will finish a dancefic someday. trust)
