One of the characters you can marry in Harvest Moon DS is a literal mermaid named Leia who washed up on shore and was nursed back to health by the resident weird scientist (he keeps her in a bath tub his basement and you only find out about her once you befriend him). You can only marry her once you build a duck pond on your farm because she’s a mermaid and thus completely committed to the fish bit

Unfortunately in HM:DS the duck pond is considered a farm building and it can blow away during a storm, including when your mermaid wife is in it. If this happens you never see her again essentially making you a widower who can never remarry as the game still thinks you are married. Anyways here she is in her pond (pics taken before disaster)

which was rough, guys. until the remake everyone hated rock so i had to prepare myself mentally every time i posted art of him to get really gross comments. glad his favorability switched but it's dizzying at times

After I did that Professor Layton To Be a Princess video, I've been thinking of who would be whom if I tried to cast all the Layton characters in it, and it's hard to decide for most of them, but one choice is certain: Descole would be Preminger

And the image of it was stuck in my head so I ended up making this with Flipnote Studios on my DSi:

(in case you're curious, Preminger was voiced by none other than Martin Short in what was possibly one of his best performances ever and I mean that quite seriously)

When I played harvest moon on the ds i thought nina was supposed to be your grandmother but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case since there's nothing out there I've seen that confirms this
