okay it's advent, and it's time for me to get off my reblogs-only hiatus for more pissed extian rants!

my church's sermon this sunday was all about having a less busy life. which on the surface sounds fine and good and healthy even but they didn't take it in a healthy direction. they told the congregation that we should spend less time on our hobbies. we should spend less time on the internet, talking to friends and spend more time praying, doing bible study, etc.

and it just feels so gross. they're telling us to flatten our interests, spend less time on forming meaningful connections, and spend more time on *self indoctrination*

i want to scream. no fucking wonder i feel guilty for just fucking existing
