okay it's advent, and it's time for me to get off my reblogs-only hiatus for more pissed extian rants!

my church's sermon this sunday was all about having a less busy life. which on the surface sounds fine and good and healthy even but they didn't take it in a healthy direction. they told the congregation that we should spend less time on our hobbies. we should spend less time on the internet, talking to friends and spend more time praying, doing bible study, etc.

and it just feels so gross. they're telling us to flatten our interests, spend less time on forming meaningful connections, and spend more time on *self indoctrination*

i want to scream. no fucking wonder i feel guilty for just fucking existing

You know, I originally thought Katniss took after her mother personality wise more than her father, to add to their doomed mother daughter relationship. Mainly because she's quite reserved throughout the trilogy. Meanwhile, her father is presented as quite confident and extroverted.

I thought this was angsty enough, but what's even more gut-wrenching is that I believe I was wrong. Katniss DOES take after her father. She was born confident, not reserved. She used to shout her thoughts about the capitol out loud in public as a child

Peetas first memory of her is when she, without hesitation, put her hand up to sing in front of her entire class on their first day of school

But after her fathers death alongside years of adultification in the capitols system pushed this down, forcing her to become more reserved. A shell of the extroverted girl she was born as.

Fully moved out now 😭 took me 7 hours of moving things and I am in absolute agony! Will miss having my own space but no longer will I be driven insane by having to hear someone else's music 24/7 😭

god. making a post about this because it’s still pissing me off but just. imagine making a silly little comic about your characters that are (apparently) commonly shipped despite literally just standing next to each other + being roommates/friends and how you didn’t mean for that interpretation

…and then getting thousand of notes full of asshat shippers (many of which are probably his own fucking fans) just being completely incapable of reading the room, making “and they were ✨roommates✨” jokes or missing the point entirely like “oh my god that’s so true 🥰🥰 characters who stand next to each other ARE dating” like. holy fucking shit. if you NEED be able to ship these specific characters and you’ll DIE if they don’t CARE about each other in the way that matters (meaning: dating or AT MINIMUM having sex) at least have the fucking decency not to do it on the creator’s post about them not being a couple. shippers be normal about platonic relationships for a goddamn second in their lives i am no longer asking

I know a lot of people have talked about how impulse is one petty and grudge keeping guy, and yes, you are correct and I love you, Impulse is THE petty and unforgiving but also so naturally kind man of the group

But can we PLEASE talk about Tango

Please please please he is sooooo resentful and revengeful towards anyone who has ever wronged him, even if he masks it with jokes and scarcasm and it's my favorite thing because he is sooo funny when he's mad

Exhibit A: His dynamic with Bdubs was forever changed after Last Life, can you really blame the guy for killing him as soon as he was the boogeyman?

Exhibit B: His whole *motions vaguely* Thing with Martyn, he is his #1 enemy but Martyn is such a menace he barely notices

Exhibit C: DoubleLife warden, need I say more

In conclusion I think he should team up with Cleo and kill more people this season, as a treat:)
