I've always been a spones girly (and I still am, I love their arguments) but mckirk week is strong on the dash so I tried my hand at it last night and ooh! Jim is a fun pov to write! Knocked out 3k before it even got romantic (the desire is filtered throughout, I'm not writing platonic w a twist ending. He has a crush).

Hope I can finish tonight or tomorrow morning and post still within the week, but even if it's late I know I'm mutual w a few diehard mckirkers so just giving you a heads up ily ❤️

the man slouches his shoulders as me makes it down the streets of zaun, attempting to appear less threatening in size. his head is tucked, face hidden beneath a hood as he walks. while his path may seem aimless, he has a destination in mind. his wrists sting from the tightness of the cuffs that had been used in transport, but he easily i g n o r e s the pain. his mind only focused on one thing. finding his daughters.

vander had been in stillwater for the last 6 years. or at least was his best estimate. and now that he finally walked free, the years behind bars f a d e d in memory. the physical evidence would live on, but as far as he was concerned that was no longer mattered. he didn't know WHY he'd been released, and he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

pale eyes raise as he approaches a familiar building, a scowl pulling at his lips in response to what it had become. hands curl into heavy fists, preparing to venture in before he notices a form slip down an alley nearby. the shock of blue hair catches his attention briefly, freezing him in his tracks. without thinking, he's following.

he pauses in the mouth of the alley, brows pulled together. the name leaves his lips as a q u e s t i o n before he can think anything else, “ powder ? ”

Well, shit. It seems that, unbeknownst to the two of them, they both had the same idea. That the Whipser they were looking at wasn't just another Whisper but was instead someone from their past. Someone horrible. And, unlike the one backing away, Whisper was not about to let Mimic get the jump on her.

So she hoisted her Wispon up, primed and ready with a simple plasma bolt. If need be, a Wisp could be loaded into it. But for now, the simplest option could work best for the job. " Who are you. " Less a question and much more a demand.
