Jaiden scoffs after his mother asks if he's seen the youngest of the household. Of course, he fucking hasn't! He could care less about the brat, they're probably just at a friend's or something.. No, he doesn't know who any of their damm friends would be. No, he can't call them! God.. fine, he'll help look for the twerp at least..

Seriously... he's going to be so pissed when you get home. Mom and dad are making a huge fuss over what? You apparently haven't been at the house for a few days, big whoop. You're an adult. You barely took any of your crap with you, you didn't run away! They need to calm down for five goddamm seconds, they really think you ran off somewhere? You? Who's always clung to your family like a leech? Yeah, right...

Except.. a few days turn into a week, and there's nothing. Mom had thought that maybe you'd go to the twins, but they haven't heard from or seen you at all. Even those bastards are starting to worry and... Jaiden will never admit this to anyone, but he's starting to worry too. You had always followed him around like a little lost ducking, even as you've gotten older. And now you're what? On your own somewhere? He knows you're too dumb, too naive, too trusting to be by yourself. If you get hurt or if someone takes advantage of you, who's going to be there to help? Can you even take care of yourself if you get sick? Shit...

He feels so fucking pathetic.. but damm does he miss you. There's no one climbing onto his bed to watch him game or pouting at him to drink something other than energy drinks... it feels so lonely. It's why he's lying down in his little siblings' bed, cuddling the childhood stuffed animal they left behind. You... left it. You would always bring it everywhere with you growing up, and you just...left it. Like you left him. Abandoned more like it. He didn't even get a fucking goodbye!

Does he not deserve one? He.. jaiden knows he hasn't been the best older brother, ok? But is he really so terrible that you didn't even feel the need to let him know that you're leaving, to give him a hug, at least? (He'd always shove you away... wouldn't he? Jaiden doesn't remember the last time he ever really showed you any affection...)

Fuck...he's sorry! He's sorry, he's sorry, he's so damm sorry... please just come home... Jaiden feels like he's going to drown without you, he needs his little sibling..

The stuffie is damp with his tears by the end of the night, but jaiden refuses to let the stuffed animal go, clinging to it like a lifeline as he falls asleep in your bed. Don't worry, he'll make it right, you just need to come home. Please... come home..

a/n - this is COMPLETELY self indulgent cause i feel the most homesick today that i have since arriving in korea

22:42 - “where’s y/n?” sungho asked, tapping jaehyun on the shoulder as the six boys got ready to have their usual weekly movie night. they’d now got used to having your presence beside them too, so as the movie had been decided already, they were wondering where you were.

“i called her. i think she’s in bed still,” jaehyun hummed, already getting up to enter his bedroom, “i’ll get her.”

he opened his bedroom door slowly, wondering if you were asleep still. he saw your figure in the dark, your phone screen lighting up your face between the blankets.

“hey my baby,” jaehyun smiled, walking in and sitting on the bed, flicking on one of the side lights as he did so. he stroked some hair out your face as you turned to look at him, “we’re starting the movie now.”

you sighed, mustering up a smile before responding, “okay! i’ll be out in a second.”

“oh?” jaehyun paused, looking at your melancholy face with concern, “what’s wrong, my love?”

“nothing,” you shook your head, sitting up. your phone fell on the bed beside your body, jaehyun looking at the old pictures of your home country open.

“talk to me,” he murmured, holding your face in his hands, lowering his eyeline to meet yours.

“house-illness,” you spoke, the new language coming across broken as you tried to translate directly, especially with the lump rising in your throat.

“huh?” jaehyun asked, looking between your eyes with worry.

“homesick! jaehyun, i’m homesick!” you cried, tears beginning to fall from your eyes as you chuckled despite yourself, “i love it here so much and i love being with you, but i just– i can’t help it. i miss home so much.”

jaehyun nodded, his learnt english ability carrying him through your words, “i know, my love. i wouldn’t expect anything else, to be honest.”

you nodded, head falling onto his shoulder as he pulled you into his arms, beginning to let it all out. your body shook with sobs, his white t-shirt staining with makeup and tears as he rubbed your back soothingly.

“do you still want to do movie night?” he murmured, kissing your head supportively, “i could get them to change the movie to something you love.”

you drew in a shaky breath, not responding as you dried your tears.

“love actually?” jaehyun offered, “reminds you of home, too.”

you laughed, nodding as you dabbed your face with a tissue before scrunching it up in your hand. you both stood, jaehyun wrapping his arms around you from behind as you shuffled into the living room where the boys cheered at the sight of you, presumably having been pre-warned of your tears from the loud sobs that had come from jaehyun’s room.

“noona! finally!” woonhak smiled.

you chuckled, smiling, “sorry, guys.”

“she’s homesick,” jaehyun said, a sad smile on his face as you finally learnt the word, “so… i was wondering if to cheer her up, we could change to love actually?”

“of course!” taesan exclaimed, “i love that film!”

“me too,” sungho smiled.

“we already got your favourite snacks too,” riwoo said, motioning to the display of various snacks on the table, your new favourites among them.

“wow!” jaehyun gasped over-dramatically, moving the two of you forward, “go on, sit, i’ll get you a drink.”

“it’s okay, i’m going to the kitchen anyway,” woonhak shrugged, already stood up as he pushed jaehyun to sit next to you.

jaehyun chuckled, as you laid your head on his shoulder. you watched as taesan held the remote, changing over to netflix and queuing up love actually.

you sniffled, “thank you, guys. it means a lot.”

jaehyun’s arm wrapped around you as he pressed a kiss to your forehead, woonhak returning with your drink and taesan pressing play.

I’ve been reading your past stuff again and I need more of the Yandere fam!!!! What if instead of the reader having left of their own will what if they were like coerced or forced into it by their partner (extra points if it’s like an abusive partner) and when they turned back up they looked terrible? Like, living in a run down house getting into fights constantly terrible. You don’t have to write this is you don’t want to, but I figured I’d share the idea!

Jaiden hates how you flinch. Like he'd hit you.

No matter how much of an asshole he is, no matter the issues he has controlling his temper, he'd never raise an unkind hand towards his family. The fact that you apparently think he would hurts at first before it quickly boils away into righteous anger.

"You.." Jaiden takes a trembling breath at the frighted look on your face, trying to force himself into some semblance of calm. "Ok." His voice is terse as he drops his hand, tacking a step away.

"W- We.. you're ok." He's not used to trying to comfort someone, but god he needs you to stop trembling like that. "Here, see?" Jaiden drops to the ground, making himself as small as possible. "It's just me. Nobody's gonna hurt you."

Someone's already has by the look of things, the shiner around your eye being proof if the flinch wasn't enough.

His jaw is clenched so hard he thinks his teeth might break, but it's the only thing jaiden can do to stop himself from yelling. "Can we just talk? Please." The relief when you sit down across from him is short lived, sat far enough away that he'd have to lunge to get anywhere near you.

It's better than watching you shake like a kicked puppy though. "Right.." The tension in the room is suffocating, "did.. did you want to leave?" Jaiden dreads the answer, but he needs to know. His breath hitches at the timid shake of your head, jaiden will never tell you the guilty happiness that settles in his chest.

He's not happy you left unwillingly, that you're in this shitty situation at all. But you didn't leave him. You didn't. And it gives him all the more reason to snap that bastard's neck later.

"Can..do you want a hug?" Jaiden opens his arms, fully expecting to be rejected. "We don't need to but- oof!" He gently wraps his arms around you when you barrel into his chest, cracking a small smile. "I'm here, ok? You're safe."
