So, the button says to ask you anything. I'm going to take that to heart and shoot my shot. My absolute favorite fic of all time is hands down, But Then, My Homework Was Never Quite Like This. In fact, the entire ten fic Homework Verse is something that I have read in its entirety many times over. And as I was late to the fandom, this was the very first J2 fic I ever read. They captured my imagination as they were not perfect people, living perfect lives. They were flawed, and Jensen was broken, and they were willing to make the hard choices, even if it hurt them, and to then do the work to make their relationship last. The way you wove through ten years of their lives, the ups, the downs, and all the incredible everything in-between. Plus, how can you go wrong with George Michael providing the soundtrack to your life? That being said, the actual question. At Jib14, I was absolutely blown away by the below picture.

My first thought was that this is what that Jensen would look like now. As he was giving a lecture to the assembled masses on some new theory he had developed with Jared's assistance. Now, I know that your Jensen did not have a beard, even a neatly trimmed one, but then again, times can change (maybe he lost a bet with the love of his life - who knows). As the 20th anniversary is fast approaching, have you ever considered dropping in on the boys once more? Just a quick peek to see what they've gotten up to since the last time we were able to see them. If you were generous enough to gift us with a long glance, I think that legions of devoted fans would drop to their knees and devote an entire religion to you. I know that sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone. But sometimes, an object in motion tends to stay in motion, and this amazing story has been burning up the fandom for a very long time. Even if it's just an extensive list of all of the amazing sights that they encountered as they traveled around the world, going to one conference after another. Please, take the time to consider, and then do what makes you happy. Thanks!

Hello love! I, too, thought of an older Homework Jensen when I saw that photo! It means so much to me that you love them, and the story, so much. I love those boys. They're very dear and special to me. I get nostalgic and emotional just thinking about them.

I have, in fact, thought about revisiting them. At one point I had a whole story planned, where Chris is throwing them a ten year anniversary party at his club, and Jensen... well, has a public, non-sexual surprise for Jared. Plus bathroom sex, Chad and Misha shenanigans, glimpses at their family members and more.

Sadly, I lost all my notes and the outline for that story when my computer died many years ago. I still remember most of it, though, and have thought, on occasion, about trying to write it. I also had a Christmas story in mind for all four of them sharing a Christmas together.

Honestly I would love to write in that verse again, but sometimes I just feel the story is told. Anything else I write at this point would be purely JUST to revisit them. I also wonder if I could get back to that head space I was in 15+ years ago. Isn't it funny to wonder if you could still write your own characters?

So I'm undecided. I would love to, but it would be purely self-indulgent. I'm kind of worried I couldn't find the right voices again, but also curious to see if they're still living in my head.

I will think about, for sure. Maybe I WILL write something for them next year. I'm going to seriously consider it.

so i did a little research abt what baby pink and blue colors meant, and here's what I found:

Baby pink: "innocence and youthfulness" ( two things Gwen doesn't have in a way, she has been through a lot, she aint an innocent, and she was forced to grow up too quickly). "People associate it with childhood innocence and the beauty of life before it becomes complicated." (everyone here knows how Gwen's life was ruined)

Baby blue: "trustworthiness and reliability. Its delicate appearance makes it helpful in promoting feelings of soothing tranquility. Although blues are generally considered masculine, light blue is often associated with youth, innocence, and childhood." (This literally screams Miles)

In the scenes where these two colors melt while Gwen and Miles are together, it not only makes the scenes more romantic but also gives a deeper meaning.

Gwen feels safe to share almost anything with Miles, he gives her that confidence, and when Gwen is with him for the slightest of moments she can be a teenage girl again. On the other hand, Miles was kinda an innocent in the first half of across.

Idk if the producers knew this while creating the movie, but most likely they did, so I admire the amount of detail they put in the films. I love to analyze it.

[💾] Qwerty's not usually one to get offended, quite the contrary, in fact. You could call her a slur and she'd just tell you to refrain from using such language.

But what can actually set her off? Imply/say that she's a "clone" of Vee. Such as calling her names like "Blue Vee" or "Vee #2". Her ususal response to this is a short stare, followed by a blink, followed by a stern phrase:

"It may be best to remind you; I am more than a mere duplication of my sister."

Qwerty knows that, yes, they have their similarities, but Qwerty has her own quirks and identity that shouldn't be ignored or brushed aside.

While Qwerty of course had her fans, Delilah had...second thoughts after making her. Suggesting that, if Qwerty proved to be "too similar" to Vee, that they should give Vee Qwerty's teaching purpose (Computer basics and internet etiquette and safety) use her parts to make Vee Version 2, should that have come to pass, and cover it up by saying she "traveled somewhere" or was "closed for repairs" ("Put on a Bus" trope)

In other words, essentially "merging" Qwerty into Vee, a "composite character" of sorts.

Luckily Qwerty was able to stand out enough to avoid this fate (and maybe she had some help from Dandy on the sidelines, since I HC he was also the reason the "Vee Version 2" project didn't come to fruition)

This is why Qwerty clings so much to her "directive" (which is to help and educate others). It's the main thing separating from Vee, the robot who hosts, and her, the robot who helps.

If she becomes stripped of that directive, that purpose, that part of her...then what exactly is separating her from being "Just another Vee"?.

And that is the brunt of Mal's identity crisis. She can't help others anymore, she's become a monster (something she sometimes tries to deny)...Just like Twisted Vee. Her powers center around the machines...Just like Twisted Vee....Her torso has been mangled and leaking ichor...Just like Twisted Vee.

Yes, Mal's still a little different compared to Twisted Vee in terms of abilities and appearance. But the similarities are just as if not more pronounced...

Sometimes she does try to emulate Twisted Vee intentionally, sort of out of spite. In a way that's like "I'm just like Vee then? FINE! Then I'll just be Vee!" or in other words "If I can't be ME, then I'll be YOU!"

But it's only a temporary relief. As deep down she knows...or at least she thinks...she's just a poser, just another murder monster, just another Vee...but with none of the charm left to spare...

Oh and calling Mal "Blue Vee" or "Vee #2"? That's practically a death wish, as Luci found out the hard way...

Princess Hara sought Elain out; her soul reaching for purpose of the whirl her life was becoming. The hum of parties no longer filled. She awoke heavy and unclear. Being in the presence of this seer revives the spirits some.

She wants to believe this precious message. Incandescent glow feels like it could swell with benevolence. She wishes to be good. To remain good. But she's heard of these visions. How murky and tricksome they can be. Perhaps, the answers she seeks further has to come from within and this is the only thing the other can offer her.

Still, she asks for a little more.
