Carrying off on what an annon said about GZD being an artist: she paints shoes. Like white sneakers she paints custom designs and every driver has a pair. Seb's one is nature themed with little bees flying around. Lewis's is of Roscoe and Coco. Nando's is of the Spanish flag with his iconic race win celebration(yk the one where he was dancing like a cobra and then posing like an eagle) on the back of both shoes ( he's her grid grandpa. Don't tell me otherwise please and thank you). George's one is British themed with "God save the Queen" written on it. Danny's is of a honey badger and says FEA (fuck 'em all) and "save a horse ride a cowboy" on it. Mick's is full of inside and personal jokes and memories. Everyone treasures them like its gold (I mean I would if I got something like that) and one day they all (planned by her favourite grid dads) wear them to the paddock on race day and it was a media field day cause it was quite obvious that everyone loved and was proud/honoured of their shoes. (She would deny it if you asked her but there where tears when she saw it)

I can def see her start doing it cause she was bored and she didn’t have a canvas or piece of paper laying around in her apartment. she sees her white sneakers and thinks “🤨”, she grabs it and starts doodling on it with a pencil ✏️ she colors it in and does it with a bunch of other shoes she has.

okay i'm kidding; it was the prompt from hark (i see u) asking for an au in which everyone is a faunus but blake doesn't know. WELL i really wanted to do a full faunus-only au so i actually started coming up with an idea for a new college au about the college of menagerie! you know, the one that velvet attended and got a semi-demi-not-gf whilst she was studying. and the whole thing was that all the favs would be there (RWBYJNPRCFVY etc) and they were all faunus. we're talking shark weiss wolf ruby dragon yang blake ferret jaune badger nora (i think lioness pyrrha but arslan's there too so) owl ren and clown kin coco,

the story wasn't really high stakes... more just an exploration of menagerie's one and only underfunded college and what it was like for most ppl who went there specifically to attend a faunus-centric college! also it was yang-centric (that's new) and i think it was gonna be honey frapp again (u kno me baybee) with maybe??? coco/ruby??? Like, she knew, of course. The journey to Menagerie from Vale was a couple of long and very boring weeks spent staring out at an endlessly blue ocean, the monotony of walking up and down the same narrow corridors broken up only by the rare stoppage to pick up more passengers — from the cold north of Anima to the scattered islands down south — which ceased entirely once they left Anima’s waters to pass into Menagerie’s territory, where no land broke the horizon for such a long time that Yang very nearly forgot what it looked like.

They could’ve taken a plane, sure, but boats to Kuo Kuana are way more common, on account of their infrastructure being built around boats long before the first airstrip was flattened out, and, hey, Yang had always wondered what the boat trip to Menagerie would be like. Granted, this was the cheapest (and therefore the longest) one they could find, and wasn’t anywhere near as convenient as the direct ride from the south of Sanus to Menagerie, but she counts it as part of the experience. Besides, now she’ll never have to do it again, because hell or high water, she’s taking the plane next time.

But none of that matters now; it’s been entirely too long to be cooped up on a liner even of its remarkable size, and as she makes her way deeper into the bustling docks, she can feel the sizzle of the humid air on her skin, can smell the scents of the tropical plants that dot between every building, growing dense and dark, and she can feel bare relief running down the fur on her back as she allows herself one nice, big stretch, baring her fangs to the sun.

I plop onto my bed, with a groan after a long day at work. " Are you ok, love?" My husband, Fred Weasley asks me, looking away from the laptop on his lap. " Yea, just a long day " I tell him, sitting up and rubbing the back of my neck. " Sore muscles?" " Ya, everything hurts. Want to take a bath, but too tired to move." I pout, covering my eyes with my arm. He chuckles and kisses my forehead, making me smile, those are always my favorite kisses. " You rest, darling. I'll start you a bath, and make something to drink. What do you prefer?" " Hmmm, how about my favorite drink." " Deal. You lay here for now, and I'll come and get you when the bath is ready." " Freddie?" " Yes, Adi?" " I love you." "I love you too, Addison." Tells me, giving me a small kiss before leaving the room. I grab his pillow and hug it, burring my nose in it to smell his shampoo and conditioner. Vanilla. I smile, and close my eyes.

" Love?" I hear some time later, my shoulder gently being shaken. " Hmmmm?" I ask sleepily, opening my eyes and see Fred looking down at me. " Time to get up." He tells me, brushing hair out of my face. I smile, " God, I never get over looking at that face when I wake up." I say, sitting up and stretching. " Neither do I." He smiles, " now get in that bathroom and get in that tub. I'll bring you your drink in just a bit." I nod and step out if bed, pulling feet back up immediately. " The floor is cold?" I whine, looking at him. " Carry me?" " Of course, angel." He scoops up my petite 5'2" frame in his strong arms and carry me to the bathroom, sitting me down on the toilet seat. He walks out, and I slowly start to strip. I feel the water with my hand, and smile to myself, it's perfect. As I sink in, I feel the pain start melt away and smell the lavander he put in the water. Sinking in the hot, bubbles to my chin, I hear a soft knock on the door, and Fred enters. " Here you go, love. Your favorite." He says, handing me a mug. " Careful, it's hot." I look him up and down "yes it is" I say, and wink. I look into the mug and see the marshmello fluff slowly melting on top of my coco, the cinnamon melting into the hot mug. I take a sip, and lean back, sighing. " This is the best hot coco I've ever had!" I exclaim, making my husband laugh. " You say that all the time, you know?" " Because, you make the best coco." " Well, I learned from the best." He starts to head for the door, before I stop him. " Where do you think your going?" I demand. " Vi will be up from her nap soon." " We have time. Come join me in the tub. Please." I ask, eyes big, lower lip sticking out. " Of course, love." He kisses my cheek, and strips. We have been married four years, and I am always in awe of his body. I scoot forward in the tub, so he can get in. Once he's settled, he pulls me towards him, rubbing my neck and shoulders. I close my eyes and sigh. He rubs my whole back before grabbing the cup from infront of me. " Can I wash your hair?" I nod and hand him my shampoo. I tilt my head back and he gently pours water on my long black and purple hair. Once he puts shampoo in his hand, he gently massages it into my scalp, causing me to groan. Chuckling, he rinces out the suds, and does the same with the conditioner. He grabs the body wash, and starts rubbing my arms and back. " You take such good care of me, Freddie. I love you so much." " I will always take care of you, my little honey badger. I love you too." He steps out, wrapping a towel around his waist, and gently lifts me up, wrapping me up in a towel. As I dry off, he goes to get me some clothes, and our three year old comes into the room. " Hi daddy." She mumbles, rubbing her little eyes. " Hi sweetie, I'll be right back, mommy needs these clothes." " Mommy's home?" She asks, excitedly. " Yes she is. How about you go play with Snuffles, mommy and I will be there in a bit and we can go to the park ya?" " Ok, daddy!" She runs out of the room, calling for our dog, Snuffles. He comes back, clothes in hand. " Thank you, daddy." I say winking, kissing him, my still wet body against his bare chest and sweat pants. I feel him stiffen to the name. " Bloody hell I love that name." He growls, hands on my waist. Giggling I grab the clothes, and start to get dressed. As I head out to see Vivian, he grabs me by the waist, and throws me on the bed. 2019 & 2010s Best/Worst

Because I like lists and cataloguing the dumb shit I cared about. As my brother once said after seeing and reviewing NOW YOU SEE ME on a lazy Sunday, ‘Some would say it was a waste of time, others might say it was a colossal waste of time.’     

I’ll admit, it’s a bit over-the-top. Particularly including the Pats, but yeah, in the Tom Brady era that started when I was 14 as a Freshman in high school to 33 years old now and wrapping up soon-ish (?), there’s not a chance in hell I’ll care as intimately about this shit. In light of Sword and Shield's announcement, here's a fun question I was thinking about! Out of all the starters, which would Mochi and the kids choose as their partner Pokemon?

HHHH I LOVE POKEMON AUS!!!!!!!! (im still deciding which region the kids would be in in a pokemon au hehueheuhe)

for all the kids i have a different set of starters whether the au starts them off with more special pokemon (non-starters, 6 IV) that match them more or if its a traditional starter au, so ill give both!!!!

for Mochi, her specialized starter would be a Purrloin!! because its the most black-cat pokemon hehe and dark types kinda deal with like magic-y moves i guess??? Mochi’s traditional starter would be a snivy!! since she works with plants and gardens a lot i think a grass type would really suit her!! (plus i love snivy to hell and back)

for Lime, his specialized starter would be a shinx, maybe a shiny shinx cuz of the yellow??? i think the whole shinx line would really suit lime well, plus i mean electric come on. he loves them. for a traditional starter i REALLY WANNA SAY IT WOULD BE CYNDAQUIL!!! SON!!!! chill ass honey badger. plus it matches the whole type match up for rivalry against mochi

Coco’s specialized starter would probably be pancham (monochrome bear aesthetic),.,. im still deciding if she would be a fighting-type specialist or a dragon-type specialist.,..shes a badass either way fhdjks. traditionally, she would have a tepig (you saw this coming) 100%. she goes the fire-fighting type. also it would probably be shiny to match her blue aesthetic because looks are everything

Oscar’s specialized starter would be a ghost type IDK WHICH ONE YET!!! i always saw him with a lil timid phantump, but i think a mimikyu would also work well??? maybe an honedge???? he has so much potential.,.,. but his traditional starter would 100% be a chespin. he loves his lil bastard chespin. he matches so well. 

Taffy would be the one that comes in halfway through the story with a badass powerful water type pokemon. and also probably something big, like a gyarados or something. actually it would 100% be a gyarados. he raised it from a magikarp and he loves it. no one touch her. for a traditional starter though??? literally, any of the water types would fit. but im gonna say its a tie between totodile and mudkip. i can see him with either!!!!

Moments like these I wish my ma planned a fucking wake. Who plans a funeral without a wake? A hint to her own insanity, it was.

It was around 8 o'clock. Everyone in the house had their own agenda. Black was the new black in everyones attire except mine. Yes, I wore black but I tightened a purple tie around my neck worse than Esther ever could. I did my best.

"Fuck," I concluded, hoping to escape the memories dwelling inside of the bedroom my dead wife and I shared only a week ago. For once, I had envisioned those sloppy seconds of ours as more than a duty or task to complete because of our unspoken commitment. I wanted her, sure. But a need was of better essence. Anyone who knew me knew that Esther was something I needed and whenever I needed something I always had it. Which is why I refuse to accept that she's gone.

See. It doesn't even sound right.

My mothers heels clacked in the ever long fashion they always clacked. She headed into the kitchen picking up anything in her way and placing it back down. It was as if she were searching for an explanation underneath every item miscellaneously situated on the kitchen table.

"What," She badgered, looking up at me once.

I shook my head. This was probably the first time in a long time that I'd actually faced my mother head on without Esther's arms locked into mine. She couldn't say the right things anymore so I used her conscious.

"That tie is ugly." She said, waltzing over towards the living room mirror. "Change it."

"No."

"Excuse me?"

"I said no. I don't have time to argue with you about anything today."

"...I know that face."

She crawled closer to my presence like the true feline she was.

"You're feeling guilty." She purred, prompting my heart to cave in and beat within itself.

"Yes, baby. You're feeling guilty...and I know the reason why." Her fingers inched towards my left ear slowly. I'm guessing this was her way of soothing me after all of these years.

"Because you are guilty." Her voice boomed contrastingly deeper and scarier than her primitive sound. A light squeeze pinched at my ear as she gritted her teeth.

"You should have done more. You were a horrible husband."

"Mom-"

"You wasn't studden that girl. I'm glad she's gone. That way her and her baby can rest in peace without even the possibility of you fucking anything else up."

"Dinah, where's my tie! Damn it!" My father howled. Just like my mother, he was everywhere...searching for something in nothing.

"I don't know, nigga. Borrow one from ya son." She answered, patting her lion padded feet elsewhere. "And where is every got damn body? Rosetta!"

"Hah!!!!" My sister called from upstairs.

"Get yo ass down here! All ya'll get down here and stand in a single file line. Now!"

Rosie, my brother, my dad, and I scurried towards 'getting ready' until we stood shoulder to shoulder in a line facing the queen herself.

She peered at us with the most emotion and deficit that I'd seen in ages. She played with her mouth. Whatever was about to seep out of it was finna be important. If we didn't take heed she'd have one of our heads plastered onto the wall for all to see. I didn't want to be on the receiving end.

"Play your parts, people. Everyone will be at this event this evening and I need zero fuck ups. Zero."

"It's a funeral, mama." Emended Rosie.

"Fuck up number one...Rosie keep your mouth shut. Cover your tattoo's. No one wants to know who you're sleeping with this month and for Gods sake do something with that nasty hair of yours."

Rosie, usually the one to object anything Dinah had to say, rolled her eyes and accepted her defeat as if she were still in middle school. For Esther's sake.

"Titus Jr...I don't have to worry about you. Keep your mouth shut and your face pretty. The only thing I want to hear you talk about is school."

Like the momma's boy he was, he smiled comically. "You got it mama."

"Husband...darling." She hummed, caressing my fathers face with her claws. "Keep your eyes to the sky...not on anyone else. Not tonight. And if you even think of pulling that 'trip to the bathroom' trick...you'll be sleeping on the couch for a month."

Next, it was my turn.

"I suppose you've suffered enough guilt as is, my Elijah...but please. Keep your conversation to a minimal."

"Listen, I don't have to answer to you. My wife is dead. I'm sure I can handle myself just fine."

My father and siblings couldn't even look at me all the way, perhaps in fear that the lioness would greet them with a jab at the jugular. But whatever it was, I did it and they were amazed.

"You think you're tough shit. I don't care what you do Elijah," She continued. "This is my rep on the line. This is stupid! This entire situation...looks stupid. How do you think it makes me feel when your fathers entire congregation is asking me what happened to my daughter and what drove her to suicide?"

"Why does it bother you so much mother? One, she isn't your daughter. Two, my fathers congregation is null and void. The entire church was torn down so whatever preconceptions they have about you, I'm sure Esther's death is the least of their worries."

"Everyone has an opinion, silly boy. Tonight is the night we create new ones. Regardless of what your father did, we still have impressions to fulfill, yes? Sort of like that job you have. Preconceptions, you say? Los Cabasas is full of them. Everyone knows about Esther's death."

"Oh yeah? And I wonder who told the news about it? Was it you?"

"No."

"I have the call log. 1-800-CabasasNewsArea shows up perfectly. Would you like to see it, Mrs. Dinah."

"You sick shit." She reckoned, tucking her fat bottom lip between her teeth. "What do you want. An award?"

"Mama, why would you do that?" Rosie questioned as if we were in a play and her que were an aside.

"Because this is a game, children." She snorted. "Play it well. Everyone would have found out sooner and later so it was best I did what I did to clear up any confusion by allowing a public announcement. For Esther."

"Bullshit. Dinah, this is an amusement park for you. You. It's all about how you want everyone else to feel about you."

She trailed closer to me still clothed with those slits in her eyes.

"For all of her life...Esther trailed in your faux reign. For a small portion of her death...let her have her own...even if it is through me..."

The funeral was of quintessence. I kept my head down, afraid that an ocean would tear at the protective sheet in my eyes.

'Going up Yonder' would be the death of me, and I meant that with all of its entirety. If I had been hit with a bag of bricks, maybe I would've believed Esther was finally gone.

But that funeral was ton of cement. Now, she was hiding from me and never coming back. That made things worse. I could talk about how I almost broke down because no one knew how guilty I was. I could talk about how I wanted to die in the casket alongside her or how innocent she looked in that white dress. I could mention how I didn't deserve to live or attend that very funeral.

But I couldn't because none of that happened. In fact, I was numb due to the fact that I had taken 3 Xanax's earlier that morning.

During the repass, I excused myself because I hated greeting strangers.

As I made my way out of the mens room, I noticed a familiar smell. Coco butter and pop rocks. Sounds about right.

"Oh my God...thank you for coming." I heard my sisters voice coo.

I saw her hugging a girl much shorter than her with wild tendrils tucked around a flower crown.

"Anything...if you need anything please ask. Where is Elijah?"

"Right here." I announced, noticing her beautiful brown face under a slither of makeup. Noticeable enough for me to recognize but she still looked the same.

"Sanaa....what are you doing here?" I asked, afraid that my mothers serene cock blocking skills would soon tear this building to pieces with everyone in it diced and sliced to perfection.

"Your sister has been a great friend of mine. She told me about what happened and I came right away. Elijah, I am so...so...sorry."

"It's fine. I'm fine."

Her hands gathered into mine, causing a few glances shot towards us. I can only imagine how livid mama would be if she saw Sanaa embracing me right now. Yes, Sanaa was my woman but everyone else would see her as a concubine. No one else knew about Esther and I's 'sleeping arrangements'. She had her situation and I had mine.

I'm sure Sanaa would understand.

"Baby...not right now."  I whispered.

"Elijah, I need you to-" My mothers incessant voice was abruptly halted by the sight of Sanna's honey colored fingers laced into mine.

"Who the fuck is this?" She summoned. Now everyone started to observe. Funeral drama must've really been a main attraction for some people.

"I did. She's a friend of the family." Rosie squeaked.

"A little too god damned friendly. Do she know Elijah wife just died?"

"She does. And I'm right here." Bucked Sanaa, standing toe to toe with my mom.

I would've came to her rescue, regardless of the fact that Sanaa was literally my concubine at my wife's funeral. But I didn't have a chance to.

Rosie reached behind her shoulders. "Okay, that's enough. Mom, this is Sanaa. Sanaa, this is Dinah. Our mom. She's just mourning. We're going to go sit, now."

Sanaa and Rosie walked away.

Like always, Rosie came to my rescue. Even though I don't think she knew about Sanaa and I's relationship completely, she dissolved any confrontations that would've set this church on fire. Singlehandedly, I realized I was dependent upon the women around me.

Furthermore, Sanaa and Rosie must've had a pretty tight relationship. They talked the entire time.
