Tutorial on how you do the headers?

Header Tutorial (most simplest one lol)

It's very basic and simple. First, gather your materials from Google or any other apps you use. I personally use Pinterest for this step.

For the middle, you can choose anything. I mostly use photos that associate with both characters, like Ratio's book or Aventurine's chip coin.

Apps you'll need are the following:-

Pinterest or Google (search for "remove.bg"; it easily removes the background of a photo).

Ibis Paint X

Once you've gathered your materials, open ibis Paint X, tap the "+" icon, and select "Header."

Then adjust your character icons/pfp photos.

Then, press add another layer and do this:

Press the layers button again and choose the blending mode, select overlay and adjust it to your liking.

Add the materials/accessories, press the brush button. Choose filter and find style.

When you've found it, press that and look for the drop shadow(use this for accessories not the chibi stickers)

Add the stickers when you are done with the accessories, choose filter again, choose style and press stroke(outer) and adjust to your liking. When done with that, choose drop shadow and again adjust to your liking.

When you're done with that, go back to the layer you used overlay on and press the brush, frame divider and and adjust to your liking.

Make the blending mode Add and adjust to your liking again and then you're done! :DD

I am freaking dying, but NOBODY WILL HELP ME. I haven’t been able to breathe right since the last HOUR (as I’m rereading this longer than that) and my choir director won’t let me sing in the concert because I CAN’T GET THROUGH TWO FREAKING MEASURES WITHOUY GASPING FOR BREATH. SAYS I DONY HAVE ENJOHH ENERGY I AM TRYING MY BEST MAAM. I was so excited and I practiced so good and I had a solo and WHY DOES LIFE DO THIS??

Urgent care is NOT helping, and I can’t afford a proper doctors appointment (neither urgent care but it’s cheaper soooo). They keep telling me that I should just take “cough medicine” or those nasal things. IVE DONE EVERY SINGLE OTC REMEDY IN CVS, WALGREENS, AND THIS SHADY PHARMACY NEXT TO SOME RANDOM CAFE. I just want help, but I can’t get it anywhere 😭😭. I’ve been to urgent care MULTIPLE times why won’t they listen to me

It’s a struggle to even SLEEP every night because I can barely breathe. I know that I WON’T die but I feel like I would at this point. I literally was crying the last few nights (WHICH JUST MADE THINGS WORSE) because I thought I wasn’t gonna make it (obviously I was, because hello, still here. But it felt VERY real when I was experiencing it)

I’m so done with this stupid thing. I’ve had it for about FIVE months now. I can’t afford another appointment, thank god I am not fired yet, for my entire income is dependent on this STUPID UNDERPAID JOB THAT I WANT OUT OF.

I don’t even know what I did— I’ve never smoked in my life, never inhaled anything, no drugs. The environment I live in has a good air quality. What did I do???

i get so emotional about how much kris keeps their piano playing from you they love it so so much so much that they go to the hospital just to play and they and when you ask them to play they refuse to cooperate because they cannot let you have it they Cannot. their refusal to play until the plot necessitates it is not because of self conciousness or lack of faith in their own ability or embarrassment (which seems to be what susie thinks given the specific way she encourages kris) it’s just because they care about it so much. they can’t possibly bear the thought of never playing again but they’re trying so hard to hold onto it for themself and keep it from you. it’s like this

WELL okay sort of , I'll use a little mannequin for this just because it's funny

okay now that we've got that sorted out, let's start first with straight hair!

straight hair sticks out real funny when it's shorter, so definitely take account of the SHAPE. when you look at short cuts like grown-out buzz cuts, you see spikes. when you see it get longer, it kind of... flops.

straight hair is defined by being epically pushed down by gravity, so you have to remember that it's falling doowwwnnn from the scalp. whenever i need to look at hair flowing in different directions though, it's best to swoop in the direction opposite.

woosh woosh...

but what about curls, right? well! curls are a bit trickier. because it mostly depends on what KIND of curls you want.

all curls start out tiny. but when you want looser curls, you want looser shape!

curls generally all have that "hook" look to them. and the tighter the curl, the more that hook turns in on itself.

it's best to look at curl pattern examples such as these ↓ in order to understand curls best!

the longer your hair goes, it usually always droops. it's best to keep eye on shapes in hair, and maybe even trace hairstyles while you're learning! (that's what i did, and now I can freehand it! :D)

of course there's way better tutorials out there than this silly little thing i made up, but i hope it gives you some help nonetheless!

hair is all about shape, volume, and size. it's one of people's most unique traits! study how hair flows and falls, how it curls and straightens, how it looks wet and dry, that sort of stuff. just study!!! study art, it's so fun!!! especially if you LIKE making it!!!

hey spot, do you have any tips for drawing iterator faces- more specifically "snouted" faces (like five pebbles)?

this gotta be some kinda ploy to make me draw Pebs again augh...

not sure if i really have many tips from my actual process, i guess? i'm tryin to speed thru the process of drawin as much as i can so more nuanced things get lost in favor of a shorthand, but i suppose i can try muster some stuff up. one isn't a master of their craft if they can't explain it to a child, as they say

main idea i try to chase with Pebs (since for now he's the only Gen 3 design i have with the snout stuff) is the silhouette of the head, the boundaries? the same shape can be recycled for a different angle, though the body then has to be adjusted cuz it can look funky then

this is the quick process, at least. generally i'd slow down, polish some things, a drawing with a goal in mind usually takes a while longer because of the attempts at the best shapes n things that would communicate what i have in head, but it's also better defined because there is an actual specific idea in the head. "draw expression for sake of showing a head" vs "draw this character a little appalled with apprehensive hand against the chest and as if he can't stand something that's happening in front of him"

here's the latter idea Pebs with more time spent on him- slower brush strokes, eraser and Especially the select tool which was used specifically to move the eye n marks lower + make his head smaller. the select tool isn't cheating (since i know some throw a fuss about that), use it when something isn't entirely clickin freely

as always, when an artist's shorthand isn't working out for ya/you can't tune into the same process of slappin a vision on canvas, breaking a thing down to its basic shapes and working with those should do the trick

oh! another trick i used a few times. from the middle of the + on the base circle that helps direct the face, extend a line that would serve for some snout navigation in 3D

4. It took me a while to get the hang of it but keep on practicing. All I can recommend is to shape it all out !
