Ford Festiva GT-A, 1991. The Festiva was a badge-engineered version of the Mazda 121 hatchback made under license by Kia for Japanese, Australasian and American markets. In Japan it was sold through Ford’s Autorama dealer network. The GT-A was a special edition of 300 first generation JDM cars with a front end restyled by Scala Design. They came with an 88hp fuel-injected 1.3 litre DOHC 16-valve Mazda-based BJ 4 cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission. The suspension could be adjusted to normal/hard setting, there was a Momo steering wheel, the alloy wheels pictured were optional.

What a difference 42 years makes juxtaposition of Peugeot 205 GTi, 1983 and Peugeot E-208 GTi, 2025. Stellantis have revealed a new high performance version of the electric 208 during Le Mans weekend. It shares a version of the e-CMP Stellantis platform used on the Fiat 600 and Alfa Romeo Junior and here produces  276hp (280 PS / 206 kW) from a single electric motor driving the front wheels. The original 205 GTi had a 1.6 litre engine that produced 105hp.
