It felt like time had slowed down, your fist starting to hurt from how hard you were banging on the wooden surface of the door. Tears were streaming down your face, and the bile in your stomach still threatened to arise at any given chance. You knew you should have never agreed to this stupid thing. You knew that something would happen, that it all wasn't just in the movies.
You just knew.
And now you were stuck in a place only god knows where with a dead man that you didn’t even know. The door seemed to be sealed shut, with no sign of opening. Your throat was starting to hurt from the yells you had been screaming for the past few moments, as well as the sobs that were racking your lungs.
Just as hope seems to dwindle, the knob suddenly twists, and the door flies open, causing you to stumble forward right into the person's chest. Quickly pulling away, your head tilts up to see who your savior has been.
“Oh my god, y/n?” Heeseung’s eyes grow wide as he quickly grabs your biceps, looking down at you with worry. He had been woken up by your banging, finding himself sprawled out on the couch that was in the lounge.
“Heeseung? Where’s everyone else? Where’s Riki? What are we doing here?” You start shooting off questions left and right, not even leaving Heeseung a chance to answer anything. It was when you started to hyperventilate that he started to panic and tried to calm you down.
“Hey, y/n, calm down; you’re going to cause yourself to have a panic attack!” He tried to coax you into looking at him, but your eyes were everywhere but his.
“I… where… we—” You were starting to babble nonsense, fear clouding your pupils, and Heeseung was worried that if he let this continue, you would really have a panic attack. To be quite frank, he had no clue what to do if that happened. It was always Riki or Jay who dealt with your panic attacks, so he was completely in the dark.
Having you pass out from practically not breathing was not something he wanted to deal with, not on top of whatever the hell else there was in the rooms with them. Without too much of another thought, he grabbed your face, forcing your attention on him.
“Breathe, please.” He whispered softly, his warm breath fanning your face. Fresh tears prick at your eyes as you inhale deeply through your nose before letting out a shaky breath. Heeseung nodded before he finally took note of the crimson liquid that your pants and arms were covered in.
“Are you hurt?” He tried to keep his voice steady despite the frantic worry that pooled in his gut. He had never in his life seen so much blood on a person before since that time that Jake sliced his hand open, trying to cut carrots in their dorm a few years back.
Your eyes followed him down to your hands hanging at your sides. The blood was starting to dry, turning it a rust color. Seeing it covering your skin makes your stomach turn once more, and you bite your tongue to keep the urge to throw up everything in your stomach at bay. Looking back up to meet Heeseung’s worry-filled one, you just shook your head, lips curling inward before pointing behind you. Your eyes stayed averted.
“There’s a…” You inhaled sharply when your eyes landed on the poor man’s body once more, bile creeping up your throat. Heeseung’s eyes grew wide once more as his own eyes sat upon the mutilated body that lay in the middle of the room.
Alarms were starting to sound in the older male's brain. This wasn’t some kind of twisted prank. No, there was something seriously wrong here.
He pulled you into his chest, arms wrapping around your smaller frame. His hold was enough to ease your mind a tiny bit, so for that, you were thankful, but there were still so many questions that haunted your thoughts.
Heeseung's brain wasn’t too far off from yours; questions clouded his thoughts. However, one prominent question outweighed all of the others.
What the hell was happening?
~
After Heeseung shut the door and pulled you away from the door, you felt like you could finally breathe a little bit better. You had found a discarded rag that you deemed clean enough to wipe some of the blood from your skin.
You managed to get a pretty good amount off, but there was still some stuck in the creases of your knuckles and neck that you didn’t even know was there. There was even some blood stuck underneath your fingernails. How? You weren’t too sure.
The air around the two of you wasn’t uncomfortable, but it was not entirely comfortable, either. Tension was thick in the air, thick enough that you were sure you could cut it with a knife. You need to break it before it starts to drive you further into insanity.
However, before you could open your mouth to speak, Heeseung beat you to it. “Do you know who that is?”
You automatically shake your head, “No, I have no clue who that is.”
“This has to be some kind of sick joke; I mean, why the hell would they lock us in here?” Heeseung scoffed, running his fingers through his hair. He knew deep down that this wasn’t a joke, that they were in actual danger.
“Wait,” Your ears perked at his words, hearts dropping to your stomach once more, “what do you mean lock? Are we locked in here?”
“Yeah, there’s some weird ass pattern lock on the door,” Heeseung says as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
Panic started to arise in your gut once more, and you shot out of your seat, making a beeline for the door. Your eyes landed on the weird keypad that displayed a pattern lock, just as Heeseung had said. Your hands wrap around the door knob hoping by some miracle that the door would just open, but it didn’t budge. Of course, it didn’t budge.
Your heart started racing as you ditched your attempts at opening the door and started banging on the wooden surface, much like you did with the other room. The sound of your fist hitting the door reverberated around the room and Heeseung stood from his seat with a sigh.
“Jay! Riki! Is anyone out there? We’re locked in here and need help!” You started shouting, hoping that anyone on the other side would hear you and come help. Though there was no one out there to hear you, let alone help you.
Heeseung walked over to you and grabbed your wrist just as you were about to hit the door once again. " You need to calm down. There isn’t anyone out there, and you’re just wasting time.” He didn’t necessarily mean for his words to come out harsh, but he knew that your senseless screaming wasn’t going to help them in any way, shape, or form.
“Wasting my time? My fucking brother is out there, probably just as confused, not to mention our friends. How can you just sit here and do nothing?” You shouted at the taller male, and he took a half step back, shocked by your outburst.
However, his eyes narrowed into slits, “Nothing? I’m not doing nothing, y/n; we are fucking trapped in here without a fucking clue as to what we need to do. Yet you’re banging on the damn door, hoping someone will come and help us, but guess what? The only person that will save us is ourselves, there is no one out there!” He seethed causing you to flinch slightly. Noticing this Heeseung let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, “we just need to calm down and look around for any clues, okay?”
You knew he was right, there wasn’t going to be some knight in shining armor that would swoop in and save you. No, it was just you and Heeseung.
“This is so fucked up.” You grumbled, arms wrapping around your body.
And it was all fucked up. You were in some unknown house with your little brother and friends. You were all clueless; nothing was making any kind of sense to you, and it was making your head hurt. What you do know though that whoever is behind this is some sick and twisted douchebag who was probably enjoying watching them all struggle.
“It is.” Heeseung agrees before looking over the room. Why don’t you go look through that cabinet, and I’ll search the bookshelf over there?” You nod, agreeing.
So that’s what you both spent the next few moments searching through a multitude of different papers and anything else that had been shoved in the cabinet. Frustration then started to bubble in your chest when you realized that you weren’t getting anywhere. The only thing you found that was any sort of ‘good’ was a background check on the dead guy in the other room.
Seo Wonsik – a twenty-seven-year-old male who was on the government's blacklist because of the countless times he tried and succeeded in hacking their system.
‘What the hell was a hacker doing here? And what did he do to be killed so brutally?’ Your eyebrows scrunched together as you tried to piece together any of the pieces you had but were left with nothing.
Heeseung had practically stripped the bookcase bare, books scattered all across the floor as well as the decor that was sitting on the shelves. He bit the inside of his cheek, his jaw clenching about, ready to move on to the next area. That’s when he saw something peeking from the ledge of the top shelf.
Reaching up, his fingertips brushed against the object, trying to move it so he could get a good grip on it. He kicked the books by his feet away, standing flush with the shelf before reaching up once more. This time, he was able to grab it enough to pull it down.
Once he had it in his hands, he took a step away from the bookshelf before looking down to see what it was. His brow furrows in confusion once he sees that it is an envelope, much like the one that was on the coffee table when they first got inside. He then looks over at you, watching as you throw yet another useless file on the ground.
Hitting the envelope against his palm, he starts walking over to you, “Have you found anything?”
His voice pulled you out of your head, and you stopped moving papers to look over at him. You shook your head with a sigh before pointing to the one paper you had set aside.
“Not really, but I found out who that guy is.” You then explained all of the information that you had found out, and Heeseung just nodded, trying to think of why a hacker would be here, of all places.
“Maybe he helped set this whole thing up?” Heeseung suggested but quickly shook his head, “but why would they kill him?”
“I don’t know. Maybe they got what they needed?” It wasn't completely illogical; you had seen it happen on multiple crime shows. Then you noticed the envelope in his hand. " Did you find something?”
“Yeah, this was on top of the bookshelf.” He holds the envelope up, letting you see the wax seal on the front. " It’s just like the one from the lounge.”
You agreed before looking over at the shelf that Heeseung was just at, seeing that he had taken almost every book off. Just then, you noticed something on the ceiling, and rage burned bright in your veins.
A small camera, almost invisible, was stuck in the far corner of the room. They were watching you, just like you had thought they would. Moving past Heeseung, you started shouting curses at the device, nearly tripping over the scattered books.
“You’re getting a kick out of this, aren’t you, you sick fuck!” You shouted, pointing at the camera, anger blinding you, “I hope you rot in fucking hell, asshole!”
“Y/n! Focus, please.” Heeseung groaned, wrapping a hand around your arm to pull you away. You looked over at him before turning back to the camera one last time to flip the device the middle finger.
The two of you move over to the couch once more, but neither of you takes a seat. Heeseung breaks the wax seal and pulls the paper out of it. Tossing the envelope to the ground he unfolds the paper before moving over so the both of you could read it.
Welcome to your first room! The first room is always the easiest so you shouldn’t have too hard of a time getting out, but be careful, you could still bite the dust! Let’s get the ball rollin’, shall we? Here’s your first clue! — ‘What lies still and silent, yet whispers the answer you seek?’
You blink a few times, trying to process what you have just read. A sense of dread hits you like frigid water has just been splashed on you. It was a riddle and a weird one at that. Biting at your nails, you look around the room, seeing another cabinet.
Though you were sure that wasn’t what the riddle was leading to, you needed to find something, so you made a beeline for the cabinet. Swinging the drawers open, you rummaged through all of the papers.
Heeseung stands in the same spot, repeating the riddle to himself in a quiet whisper, trying to make sense of it.
“Lies still and silent, yet whispers the answer you seek…” His eyes search around the room, “still and silent. Still and silent. Still and-” That’s when it hit him. Could it be talking about the body in the other room? It was something that would normally be mobile yet lies still and silent.
Heeseung laid the paper down on the table before calling out your name, catching your attention. You tear your gaze away from some contract paper, eyes meeting Heeseung’s.
“The riddle, it’s talking about the body.” He points towards the door that holds the dead man. Your stomach instantly turned, and the bile returned to creep up your throat.
“No. Nuh-uh. No way. I am not going anywhere near that.” You started to freak out once more, shaking your head violently. Heeseung took quick strides towards you, his annoyance was evident in his features.
“God dammit, y/n!” He grabbed your arms, fingers digging softly into your skin as he shook you slightly, “do you want to get out here?” You looked up at him with wide eyes, nodding, “then suck it the fuck up and help me find the damn clues.”
Tears involuntarily pooled in your eyes. Heeseung had never shouted at you, never. He didn’t want to be mean, but if it was the only way to get you to listen, then that’s what he was going to do, and he would apologize later.
“All of this is so inhumane.” You spoke with a shaky voice, trying to keep the tears from spilling over.
“Yeah, and that’s why were going to get out of here. Alive.” Heeseung ran his fingers through his hair as he backed away from you, “come on.” He held his hand out to you, and with some hesitation, you placed your smaller hand into his.
Heeseung took your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours before pulling you towards the door. As the distance grew shorter, your heart started to race, and a cold chill ran down your spine.
Pushing the door open, the older male pulled you behind him until you were standing before the body once again. You averted your eyes just as quickly as you looked at him, bile burning in the back of your throat and tears stinging in the corner of your eyes.
Heeseung pulled his hand out of yours and crouched down, his hand covering his nose as the putrid smell engulfed his senses.
“Oh god…” He groaned as he reached forward to move the jacket; tears started to brim his eyes from the smell. His hands shook as he started to search for any kind of clue, praying that he was right and you guys weren’t doing this for nothing.
You stood there shell-shocked as you watched Heeseung search the man, blood slowly staining his skin. It took all of your willpower to keep your feet planted and not make a run for the other room, wanting to be anywhere but here. Heeseung notices you still standing in the same spot from the corner of his eye.
“Check his pockets.” He motions to the man’s pants, his eyes flickering over to you for a moment before going back to patting the man’s upper half down.
You slowly move down to your knees, staining your pants in blood once more. Tears were flowing down your cheeks silently as you reached for the man’s pockets, your hands shaking uncontrollably.
The room grew silent. The only sound was clothes rustling and your quiet sniffles. You had searched the man’s pockets but came up with nothing, so you moved on to just checking his legs and shoes. The putrid smell was starting to make both of you dizzy, and you were sure you would have thrown up your stomach contents if there was anything there.
“Found it!” Heeseung exclaimed, holding up a piece of paper he had found in a secret pocket of the man's jacket. His outburst made you nearly jump out of your skin, eyes wide as you looked over at him.
He started unfolding it so he could read it, but then you noticed something in the man’s hand. As he starts to read, you reach over, pulling the object from his clasped fingers.
“Heeseung…” You called out the boy’s name, terror shaking your voice. Holding up the bracelet, you looked over to meet Heeseung’s eyes, and by the look on his face, he recognized it. You knew who this belonged to, seeing as it was a handmade gift from Jake.
Heeseung takes the piece of jewelry with wide eyes, inspecting it closely. — “This is Sunghoon’s.”

Jay’s eyes slowly fluttered open, and a groan fell from his lips. The bright overhead light burned his eyes as he tried to let his vision focus. He could have sworn that the electric buzzing of the lights would cause him to go deaf from how loud it was.
Blinking a few times, he looked around the room with scrunched eyebrows. Where was he because this definitely was not his bedroom or any other room he recognizes.
Then, all of the previous events hit him like a ton of bricks. The scene of all of his friends slowly passing out until his own vision went black.
Sitting up quickly, he groaned, his head pounding from the sudden movement. Once the pain dulled down, he further inspected the room before he found Jungwon sprawled out in the recliner off to his right. His mouth was parted slightly as drool dribbled from the corner of his lips, causing Jay to cringe at the sight.
“Jungwon,” Jay calls out, nudging the boy’s knee, but he shows no response. Rolling his eyes, Jay stands to his feet, allowing himself to catch his balance before walking over to the sleeping boy. Jay reached out and shook Jungwon’s shoulders, but the only kind of response that he got was gibberish, and the boy moved away from Jay’s hands.
“Of all people to get stuck with, it was him.” He grumbled, breathing through his nose, and his jaw tightened before he hit the side of Jungwon’s thigh with a firm smack, causing the boy to wake up with a yelp. He looks up at Jay with wide eyes, a mixture of confusion and shock clouding his pupils. Jungwon sat up, asking Jay what he had done that for, and Jay just scoffed.
“Rise and shine, sleeping beauty, we don’t have all day,” Jay told him, annoyance evident in his tone.
“What do you mean? What’s going on?” Jungwon asked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, his mind still very much in a daze. For whatever reason, the events leading up to now were foggy; he couldn’t quite place what had happened besides that they were going to some haunted escape room.
“Well, for starters, I’m pretty sure we were drugged,” Jay explains as his eyes search the room, missing the expression that settled on Jungwon’s face.
Jungwon blinked a few times, trying to process what had just been said to him. He thought that Jay must have gone insane, or this was all just some huge prank they were pulling on him because there was no way that they all had been drugged. Yeah, that had to be it. This was all just a screwed-up joke.
“Ha ha ha, very funny, you almost had me. Where’s the cameras?” Jungwon burst out laughing, wiping fake tears from the corner of his eyes. His eyes scanned the room, trying to find any kind of hidden camera, waiting for the others to pop out at any moment.
Jay looks at him with a pointed gaze, completely unamused, and arms crossed over his chest. Not a single word left his lips, but the expression on his face was enough to tell Jungwon that he was, in fact, not joking around. His amused laughter slowly died down into a nervous chuckle as he realized the severity of the situation.
A cold chill ran down his spine at the thought of all of them being drugged, but he couldn't figure out why. They hadn’t done anything to upset anyone. You all did your own thing but none of them warnented for someone to do this.
Jungwon then remembered that he had his phone in his pocket. “Wait, we can just call the others!” he exclaimed, standing abruptly while the older of the two rolled his eyes.
While Jungwon started to pat down his pockets, searching for his phone, Jay made his way over to the door. He took note of the keypad that sat underneath the doorknob; the numbers lit dimly, but what really caught his attention was the outlines ‘x’s, which probably meant that they only had three tries to get the correct answer.
“Where’s my phone? I swear it was in my pocket.” Jungwon started to freak out, stripping the recliner in search of the device. He started to feel his heart racing underneath his ribcage; there was no way that his phone was just gone.
Jay pinches the bridge of his nose, stands straight, and turns towards the younger male, explaining that whoever drugged them probably took their phones, too. Jungwon, however, just stands there like a clueless cat.
“Have you never seen any horror movies?” Jay asked, raising an eyebrow, his annoyance level gradually rising.
“No, they're too scary.”
Jay scoffs, “again, of all people to stick with me.” He ran his fingers through his hair, eyes trained on the ceiling. “Alright, listen, the door is locked with a keypad. However, I think we only get three chances to guess it correctly.”
“What happens if we guess wrong all three times?” Jungwon asks wearily, not entirely sure he wants to know the answer, though deep down, he knows what it means.
“I don’t know, but I don’t think it’ll be anything good, and I definitely don’t wanna find out either.” Jay was sure that it didn’t mean anything good for them, but then again, this whole situation wasn’t good.
The room then grew silent, both boys lost in their own thoughts, trying to make sense of anything. Jay continued to search the room with his eyes, trying to see if anything stood out. There were a few paintings hanging on the walls; the only one that stood out the most was one with a tree, but the leaves were four different colors, almost like an abstract ombre. Brushing it off as a weird taste in art, he moved on. Then a small red flash in the corner of the room caught his eye, looking over he saw a small camera hidden in the far corner of the room.
“They’re watching us,” Jay stated, catching Jungwon’s attention, who had just picked up an envelope that he saw stashed under some paper on the coffee table.
A chill ran down the younger’s spine at the revelation that someone was just watching them as if they were in some kind of TV show. With shaky hands, he tore the envelope open, which only grabbed Jay’s attention. Looking over, he saw the paper and snatched it out of the boy's hands because he wasn’t sure he could trust Jungwon to comprehend any of what had been written inside.
“Hey!” Jungwon jumps, looking at the older male with wide eyes. "You can’t just snatch things out of people's hands!” He complains, but Jay ignores him. Seeing as Jay is going to ignore him, Jungwon watches as Jay fully unfolds the page before his eyes scan over the words. His anxiety levels spike the longer Jay stays quiet.
Finishing reading, Jay could only scoff, eyes flickering away from the page. He could feel his heartbeat ringing in his ears, dread flooding his veins. Jungwon steps closer, worried that something was completely wrong as if the whole situation wasn’t wrong. Trying to look at the paper, Jungwon’s eyes flickered up to Jay’s, asking what was wrong.
“We’re trapped in here.”
“Obviously,” Jungwon said nonchalantly, his hands stuffed in the front pocket of his hoodie. Jay, however, sent a deadly glare at the younger boy, causing him to chuckle nervously. Averting his gaze, he said, “Sorry.”
“Pretty much this is the first room, and the severity will only grow as we go.” Jay started to explain, both boys growing uneasy, “It also says that if we guess the code wrong three times, we’re out.”
Jungwon’s blood ran cold, and fear clouded his senses. The words were far too cryptic for his liking. Everything about this was cryptic, and it only left him questioning things more.
“What does that even mean?” Jungwon’s brow scrunched together, thinking of the multiple possibilities it could mean. Not a single one of them was very good.
“I have no idea, I’m just as clueless as you, and this is literally the most cryptic shit I’ve ever read in my life.” Jay seethed, tossing the paper down on the coffee table, irritated. “We need to look for clues.”
“Did it at least give us any leads?” Jungwon asked, pulling his hands out of his pockets and pointing back at the paper that Jay had just thrown down.
“Let the colors guide you. Whatever the hell that means,” Jay told him, stepping away from the table. Let’s just look around the room and see if we find anything.” Jungwon nodded before moving to the side of the room where a shelf stood.
~
The two of them then spent the next few grueling moments searching through all the cabinets and shelves for anything that might be useful. Neither of them seemed to have found anything, though, which only further fed their irritation.
Searching through yet another filing cabinet, Jungwon opened the bottom drawer and was met with four big numbers on a page. His eyes lit up as he made a loud noise of excitement, scaring Jay, who stood on the other side of the room.
“I found it!” He shouted before scrambling to his feet and making a beeline for the door. Jay’s eyes went wide as he watched the boy start typing in numbers before he could even get a chance to stop him.
Jay rushed over to the younger male, pulling him away from the door just as a loud buzzer sounded in the room.
“Incorrect code. Two chances remaining.”
“What the hell, dude?! You can’t just fucking throw numbers on there and hope they work!” Jay hissed, eyes narrowed into slits, “We don’t have all the chance in the world, so stop being so reckless.”
A small pout adorns Jungwon’s lips as he stares up at Jay, “I was sure it would work, look.” He holds the newspaper up, and Jay’s ears start to burn a bright red before he snatches the paper out of his hands.
“This is the fucking year, you dumbass!” Jay reprimanded the poor boy and turned the paper back around so Jungwon was looking at it. However, on the back of the page Jay noticed that something was highlighted in blue ink. Upon closer inspection he realized that it was a number highlighted. Jay then quickly turned around, looking for a piece of paper that he could write on, confusing Jungwon.
“What are you doing?”
Jay stopped his movements to look at the boy, “I'm trying to find something to write on. Stop lollygagging, and help me find a pen or something.”
Remembering that, he saw a pen in one of the filing cabinets, so he moved back over to them, searching through the drawers once more. Once the pen was in hand, he walked over to Jay, who had found a stray notepad. Jungwon watched the man in confusion as Jay took the pen and wrote down the number.
‘Five’
He then set the notepad and pen down on the coffee table next to the newspaper before standing straight. Jungwon glanced down at the table before his eyes flickered back over to Jay, waiting for him to say something.
“Look for anything with a highlighted number. My guess is there are three other numbers.” Jay instructed Jungwon, who was softly chewing on the skin of his lip but nodded nonetheless.
While Jay returned to his original side of the room, Jungwon went back to the filing cabinets to recheck everything in case he had overlooked any highlighted numbers.
Once he deemed the filing cabinets clear, Jungwon moved to the dresser in the far corner of the room. Pulling open the first drawer, he felt his stomach turn, and bile crept up the back of his throat. There, sitting on top of another paper, was a photograph, one he was sure he had seen before.
“Jay…” Jungwon called out to the older male. Swallowing thickly, he turned to meet Jay’s awaiting gaze. He then held up the photo with a shaky hand, “Isn’t this y/n and Riki?”
Tumblr media
Heeseung swallows thickly, trying to get the lump that had formed in his throat to go down before pocketing the bracelet. You just watched him, not sure what to make of it all. Did Sunghoon have anything to do with this? Was he the one who killed this man? Questions started to arise, but Heeseung quickly snapped you out of it with a cough.
“Let’s not jump to any conclusions right now, okay?” His voice was soft, almost as if he was trying more to convince himself than you, but you nodded slowly nonetheless. " Let’s just focus on getting out of here for right now.”
He stood up and made his way back into the other room, leaving you sitting there staring at the spot he had once been. Even though you knew he was right and you shouldn’t jump to conclusions, you couldn’t help but try to think if Sunghoon showed any suspicious behavior, but the only thing you could think of was that he had started to distance himself from the rest of the group. You had thought that it was just because he had a competition coming up and it wasn’t anything new if he did distance himself, claiming that he needed to keep his head clear.
“Y/n.” Heeseung called out to you causing your head to snap in his direction, breaking your thoughts. He motions for you to come join him, so you slowly climb to your feet, ignoring the way your knees groaned in protest or how you left bloody footprints in your wake.
The both of you take a seat on the couch, looking at the paper that Heeseung had found. Your eyebrows scrunched together as you looked at the dots. However, the bottom left dot was drawn in red. Then you remember that Heeseung had said that the lock on the door was some kind of pattern, so this is probably one of the spots.
“You said the lock was one of those pattern locks, right?” You asked, causing the older male to look at you before looking over at the door and nodding.
“Yeah, and we only get three tries.”
You looked up from the paper in your hand, mouth suddenly dry, “what happens if we guess wrong all three times?” The first thought that popped into your head was that the two of you would die.
“I don’t know, but I doubt that it’ll be anything good.” He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. He was sure he had a good idea of what would happen, but he wasn’t going to tell you and run the risk of you freaking out again.
“We’d die, wouldn’t we?” you asked, your voice quivering slightly as fear washed over your body once more. Heeseung didn’t say a word, nor did he meet your eyes, which gave you your answer, one that you already knew but dreaded to hear. The air around you both grew silent and tense. It made you uneasy. You were not entirely sure why, but you needed to break it. “Do you think the others got similar puzzles or whatever?”
Heeseung looked over at you as if you had just pulled him from his thoughts. He let out a breath, “I wouldn’t doubt it.” The male then abruptly stood to his feet, causing you to jump slightly. " Come on, we still have more pieces to find.”
So that’s exactly what the two of you go back to doing, tearing the room apart from top to bottom, finding the rest of the pattern. Following the riddles that had been written on the back of each one before too long, you were working on finding the last one.
Neither of you was sure how much time had passed since you had woken up, but that didn’t linger in your minds for very long as Heeseung called for you once again. Looking over, he showed you the paper with the same dots once more.
“Are we sure that this is the last one?” You asked hesitantly, sitting down next to the dark-haired male.
Heeseung laid all of the pages out on the coffee table before looking over at you. "It has to be; there is nothing written on the back like the others.”
“Okay.” You bite your bottom lip before looking down at the pages. Do you think the pattern would be the order we found them in?”
“That’s too easy.” Heeseung shook his head before covering the lower half of his face with his hand, deep in thought. He wasn’t even sure where to begin looking for the order. Was there some kind of indicator? A number, maybe? No, that’d be too easy. Maybe it was the order that they found them in, but he wasn’t going to risk trying that, and it would be wrong.
You then suddenly sat up straight, causing Heeseung to jump slightly, his eyes flickering over to you. It took you a few moments, but you noticed that there were shapes in the bottom corner of the pages, each shape different.
“There’s a different shape at the bottom of each page.” You started to explain, pointing to each shape. Heeseung, however, looked like a deer caught in the headlights, confused and completely lost as to where you were going. Noticing that you had lost him, you let out a sigh before scooting closer to the edge of the couch. “The number of sides on the shape is probably the order that they go in; see, the lowest is the line because it really only has one side, obviously.” You point to the page that had the line on it before pointing to the page with a hexagon, “Then this one would be the last one because there are only six pages.”
Heeseung made an ‘oh’ face when he finally understood what you were trying to say. He then leaned forward, grabbing the page with a triangle on it. " So this would be the third one?”
You nodded, leaning forward to see all of the shapes that had been put on the pages. Digon, hexagon, line, pentagon, triangle, and square. The two of you took the next few moments to put them all in the correct order.
A smile tugged on your lips as Heeseung laid the last page in its correct place. You had figured it out, and you were going to get out of here. Heeseung met your smile with one of his own before the two of you stood and made a beeline for the door. Eager to get out, Heeseung drops down to his knees in front of the lock, tapping the screen and causing it to light up. He reaches out to start the pattern but stops short and looks back at you with a sheepish smile.
“I forgot…” He chuckles, and you roll your eyes, telling him to move out of the way, which he quickly does.
Taking his place, you inhale deeply, trying to calm your nerves. You were 99% sure that you had the correct code but couldn’t help but feel worried. Shaking your head softly, you reach out and enter the pattern, just like the sheets laid out.
When you were finished, you moved back, a bit worried that it was wrong because nothing had happened. A cold chill ran down your spine at the thought of having to backtrack and figure out the code once more. Then the screen turned bright green, and the sound of the lock turning allowed a sense of relief to wash over you.
“We did it!” You jump up with a wide smile, throwing your arms around Heeseung, which surprised the boy, but he returned it nonetheless. He was relieved to finally be out of the room, ready to go find the other so you all could make it out of this hellhole. Alive.
“Come on,” Heeseung pulled away, looking down at you with a soft smile, “let’s go find the others.”
Tumblr media
Between Jay and Jungwon, they had managed to find three out of the four numbers. Jay was surprised that they even made it this far. He was sure that if the room didn’t kill them, Jungwon would with how reckless he was. He kept trying to just enter whatever code he thought was correct, but thankfully, Jay had stopped him every time. It just didn’t seem to click in his head that they could die if they ran out of chances.
“I found it!” Jungwon exclaimed, and Jay quickly turned around just in case he needed to grab the younger boy once more. However, Jungwon didn’t make a move towards the door but rather walked over to Jay.
“Lemme see that.” Jay held a hand out and Jungwon placed the paper in his hand, watching as the older male inspected the paper. Jay’s eyes caught the number at the bottom of the page, highlighted in purple.
‘One.’
They walked over to the coffee table, and Jay sat the paper with the others, jotting down the number on the notepad. He then sat down, comparing the numbers, trying to figure out if they correlated with anything. Then, the dilemma of their order popped into his head, and he groaned, running his fingers through his hair.
“What’s wrong?” Jungwon asked, moving over to take the empty seat next to the silver-haired male. Jay tosses the notepad down on the table before looking over at Jungwon telling him that they still have to figure out what order they go in.
“And before you ask, no, we can not just randomly guess.” Jay quips, glaring at the younger boy, who raises his hands in defense.
Jungwon then grabbed the papers with the highlighted numbers, spreading them out. His eyes went wide, and he grabbed Jay’s attention by hitting his arm: “Hey, the colors are different!”
“What are you talking about?” Jay rolls his eyes before leaning forward to look at the papers.
“Look, each number is highlighted with a different color.” He pointed to each page, and they were, in fact, highlighted in different colors.
Jay’s eyebrows scrunch together as he tries to make sense of it. Why colors and what order do they go in? The rainbow, maybe? Or was it lightest to darkest? There were far too many possibilities, and Jay wasn’t going to risk entering the wrong code. They only had two tries left after Jungwon screwed up the first time.
“This might be a stretch, but don't the trees' leaves match the colors?” Jungwon voiced out, snapping Jay out of his thoughts. He looked at what Jungwon had been pointing to, seeing the strange painting that he had seen earlier, and weirdly enough… the colors did match.
Without saying a word Jay grabbed the papers, placing them in the same order as the tree leaves. Jungwon just sat there quietly, eyes scanning the numbers when Jay finished.
‘8501’
The two of them looked at each other for a moment before standing and quickly walking over to the door. Jay crouched down so he was face-to-face with the keypad, tapping it so the screen lit up. Jungwon leaned over Jay’s shoulder, watching him intently, not realizing just how close he was. His warm breath washed over the back of Jay’s neck, distracting him.
Jay closed his eyes, letting out a huff, before turning his head to glare at the other boy. Jungwon’s breath hitched in his throat, so he backed away and gave Jay a quick apology.
Once he was sure that the distraction was gone, Jay turned back to the keypad and entered the numbers in the order of the colors. After he finished, the screen just turned black, causing both boys’ hearts to drop.
Just as Jay was about to back up and suggest they look for another solution, the keypad flashed green, and the lock turned. Standing quickly, the silver-haired male looked back at Jungwon with wide eyes, who looked just as shocked.
Reaching out, Jay grabbed the doorknob, turned it, and pulled the door open. Once the door was fully open, he turned back towards Jungwon, “Now let’s go find our friends.”
Tumblr media
Walking down the dimly lit hallway made you wish that you had grabbed a candle or something from the room. It wasn’t that it was too dark to see anything because you could. No, it was because it left an eerie feeling in your gut. Like there was something lurking in the shadows, and to be honest, you wouldn’t be too surprised if there was.
Between you and Heeseung, you have checked just about every door that was in the conspicuously long hallway, but every single one of them was locked. No sound was heard except for the occasional rattle of a doorknob and your footsteps that seemed to echo in the empty hall. When you got to the end of the hall, you noticed that it turned, but there was still another door to check.
“You check that door, I'mma go look down this hall.” You whispered, and Heeseung nodded before turning and walking towards the door. You then turned your head back around just as you rounded the corner, but not quick enough to stop yourself from running into something.
A scream erupted from your lungs as you scrambled to get back, almost tripping over your own feet. Heeseung nearly jumped out of his skin when your scream echoed down the hall, and he was quick to rush over to make sure you were okay.
“Hey, hey, y/n, it's just me.” You looked up with wide eyes, seeing that what you had run into wasn't something but rather someone. Heeseung let out a relieved sigh when he caught sight of Sunghoon.
Letting out a groan, you reach forward, smacking the male’s arm, “good god Sunghoon, you scared the shit outta me!” You exclaimed, running your fingers through your hair trying to will your heart to slow so it wouldn’t burst right out of your chest.
Heeseung laid his hand on your upper back, asking if you were okay, and you nodded, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath. He kept his hand there as he looked back over at Sunghoon, whose eyes were narrowed in on you, and for some reason, it left the older male feeling uneasy.
“Is it just you?” Heeseung asked, pulling the younger's attention away from you.
Sunghoon shook his head, pointing over his shoulder. “No, Sunoo is in a room we found back there.” His eyes flickered back to you as you straightened your body, eyes meeting his. Come on, I’ll take you. Is it just you guys?”
You nod, following after the taller male Heeseung not too far behind you, “yeah, we haven’t found anyone else yet.”
Sunghoon nods before stopping in front of a door, opening it, and letting you and Heeseung walk in. Inside, Sunoo is standing at the desk, looking down at some papers that were left, trying to see if they have anything worth it. Of course, they are useless, much like any other paper they have found. The sigh he had started to let out is caught in his throat as soon as he hears the door opening.
Turning around, the fear and tension in his shoulders dissipated, and a bright smile formed on his lips as he watched you and Heeseung walk into the room. You returned his smile with one of your own before walking over to join him while Heeseung stayed back, looking over at Sunghoon.
“Was it just the two of you?” Heeseung crossed his arms over his chest as the question slipped past his lips, his eyes staying on you and Sunoo.
Sunghoon glances at the older male, not missing the unease that was written all over his face, his jaw tight. “Yeah, it was just us.” Sunghoon starts, his gaze flickering over to you and Sunoo, watching as Sunoo points to something on one of the papers. “We woke up in a room that was on the complete opposite side of where I found you guys.”
Heeseung glanced at Sunghoon for a moment before he heard a gasp from Sunoo, his head whipping back around, worried something was wrong.
“Oh my god, are you bleeding?!” Sunoo exclaims as he grabs ahold of your arms to check you over for any injuries.
You stood there confused for a moment before looking down and catching a glimpse of your blood-stained clothes. During the commotion of getting out of the room, you had forgotten that you were covered in blood. A shiver runs through your body as you recall the dead man from the other room, and your stomach turns once more.
“No, it’s…” You swallow thickly, heat rushing up your neck to paint your face a deep shade of red, “it’s not mine.” Sunoo just looked at you, puzzled, until you started to explain how you woke up in a room with a dead body and how you’ve come to be covered in his blood.
Sunoo’s eyes went wide. He asked if you were okay, and you just gave me a soft smile, reassuring him that besides being traumatized, you were fine. Sunghoon then asked if you had known the man as he and Heeseung walked over to the two of you.
“No, I have no idea who he is, but I found a background check on him, and I think he worked for whoever is behind all of this.” You explain, eyes flickering over to the taller male recalling the bracelet that they had found, “We did find-”
You were cut short by the sound of a doorknob rattling on the other side of the room. Heeseung quickly grabbed you, pulling you behind him as his eyes shot to the door. Your heart dropped as fear slithered its way into your mind, once more scared that something bad was going to happen.
The door swung open, revealing Jay and Jake, who looked at the other four in the room with wide eyes. They weren’t sure what to expect on the other side of the door, but seeing their friends was definitely not on top of their list. However, they were happy to see you guys nonetheless.
You peeked around Heeseung, trying to see who it was, and your eyes went wide. Before Heeseung even had the chance to stop you, you darted from your spot, latching yourself right onto Jay, arms encasing his waist.
“Y/n? Oh, thank god.” Jay breathed out, wrapping his arms around your smaller frame, missing the cold glare the two of you were receiving.
You then pull away, looking up at him, worry etched in your features. “Where’s Riki?” The fear fuels the thoughts in your head that your brother isn’t with them and is still out there somewhere. Noticing the look in your eyes, Jay flashes you a small smile, his hand resting on top of your head.
However, before he could open his mouth to tell you that your brother was just behind them, the boy walked through the door, looking around. You detach yourself from Jay and rush over to Riki, grabbing his arms and causing him to jump slightly.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt?” You started throwing questions at the boy left and right as you checked him over. Riki smiles at you, grabbing your hands and squeezing slightly.
“Y/n, I’m fine, I promise.” He reassures you, his eyes racking over your body, noticing the blood stains all over your clothes. “Are you okay though?”
You miss the slight twitch of a smirk on the younger boy's lips as you look down at yourself. “I’m fine, just shaken up. Are you sure you’re okay?” You look back up at him, eyes gleaming with worry. “I was so worried.” You place your hand on his cheek, and he grabs your wrist, pulling it away with a small grimace, telling you once more that he is okay.
“Hate to break up this cute sibling moment, but Sunoo found another letter or whatever.” Sunghoon clears his throat, catching all of your attention, pointing over to the blonde who was holding up an envelope. Everyone then moved to the center of the room, where an armchair and a small table sat. Once everyone was pretty much huddled in a small circle, Sunoo unfolded the paper and started reading it aloud.
‘Congratulations! You’ve survived the first room, not that it was too hard right? Now, don’t get too hopeful, as the next room you’ll be in won’t be as forgiving. Enjoy your small break and good luck on making it out alive!’
No one says a word, the tension in the room growing thicker as the words sink in. A chill ran down your spine at the thought of one of your friends or even your brother not making it out. Jay puts a reassuring hand on your shoulder, thoughts of his own flooding his mind.
“Shouldn’t we like look for any kind of clues while we’re in here?” Jungwon spoke up, pulling his hand away from his lips seeing as he had been chewing on the loose skin around his nails.
Everyone agrees before doing exactly that, splitting off either on their own or in pairs. Jungwon and Sunoo make their way back to the desk where the blonde had been moments ago. You walk over to one of the bookshelves on the far side of the room, skimming through the books. Jay follows Heeseung to another bookshelf that isn’t too far from where you are. Riki and Jake move to the far corner of the room, talking amongst themselves, eyes flickering over to the others for a moment before turning back. Sunghoon then sits down in the armchair, his chin resting on his fist as he props it up on the armrest. His eyes looked distant, as if he wasn’t fully there, lost in his own little world.
Looking through the bookshelf, you couldn’t help but notice how Sunghoon hadn’t moved from the chair, his eyes now flickering from group to group, watching them all with an unreadable expression. Your mind then trailed back to the bracelet that you had found on the body. You didn’t want to jump to any conclusions, but he wasn’t helping ease your mind, not even a little bit. You wanted to believe that he had nothing to do with this, that it was all just one huge misunderstanding, but the bracelet was one of a kind; there was no way someone could just get another one.
Glancing at the dark-haired male once more, you let out a sigh before making your way over to Sunoo and Jungwon. As you got closer, the two boys noticed you and nodded in acknowledgment.
“Hey, Sunoo, quick question.” You speak quietly, not wanting to alert the male who is sitting not even five feet away. “Was Sunghoon like that in the other room?”
Sunoo glances over at Sunghoon, whose eyes are currently on Jay and Heeseung, “I mean, he was pretty standoffish, but he still helped look around for the clues.” He looked back at you, his eyebrows scrunched together.
Nodding your head slowly, you then look down at the papers he was holding, “Have you guys found anything?”
“Besides a bunch of useless documents, no.” He sighs, tossing the pages back down on the desk causing Jungwon to look over for a moment. You give him a tight smile before patting his shoulder and turning to walk away.
Making your way over to Jay and Heeseung, you felt eyes on you. Looking over, you caught Jake staring. Realizing that he got caught, he flashed you a smile, which you returned before walking over to Jay. The smile that adorned the male's face dropped once he saw how close you were standing to Jay. His jaw clenched tightly before looking back at Riki, who had asked him something.
You stood between Jay and Heeseung, listening to them talk about a book title that they had seen before you tapped both of their arms, causing them both to jump slightly. Seeing that it was you, Jay subconsciously moved closer to you while Heeseung turned his attention to you.
“I really don’t want to jump to conclusions, but Sunghoon has been acting weird.” You spoke softly, biting your bottom lip, and both boys peeked over at the younger male.
“A lot has happened in such a short amount of time,” Jay told you as he turned back towards you, “I’m surprised that the rest of us are even looking; this is supposedly our ‘break time,’ evidently.”
You purse your lips slightly before looking over at Heeseung for a second, who just turned away from Sunghoon. You had known Sunghoon almost as long as you’d known the others, so it didn’t feel right to accuse him of anything without any actual proof, but finding the bracelet and the way he was acting now only left a bad taste in your mouth.
“Jay, we found his bracelet on the body in our room,” Your voice shook as you looked up at him, and Heeseung pulled the piece of jewelry out.
Jay’s eyes grow wide as he instantly recognizes it; even with the blood soaking one half, he knew that the bracelet was the one Jake had made specifically for Sunghoon. His eyes quickly shifted over to Sunghoon, who was sitting in the chair, looking at his arms and seeing that the bracelet was, in fact, not on his wrist anymore. Turning back to the two of you, he covers Heeseung’s hand and the bracelet with his hand, pushing Heeseung’s down, making sure no one else is looking over at the three of you.
“Let’s just keep this between us, ya? I don’t want to cause panic with the others.” He spoke quietly, looking between you and Heeseung who nodded his head, shoving the bracelet back into his pocket. “But y/n…” Jay looked down at you, “I think this might have something to do with you.”
You looked up at him with wide, shocked eyes, “Me? You’re telling me that I’m the reason that this is happening?” Your heart started to race as your voice shook, and a mixture of fear and anger filled your veins, “That’s a pretty fucked up thing to assume, Jay.”
“No, listen, Jungwon found this picture of you and Riki in our room.” Jay reached for his pocket to pull the photograph out, “but your face had been scratched out.” He holds the photo out to you, and you quickly grab it, eyes wide and your ears ringing as your stomach drops.
“I thought I had lost this a while ago.” You swallowed the lump in your throat, turning the photo over and seeing your handwriting on the back.
‘The love between siblings knows no boundaries.’ - Y/n & Riki
Your hands started to shake as fear etched itself into your soul. Had this all really been your fault? Noticing the tears in your eyes, Jay pulled your smaller frame into his, wrapping his arms around you while Heeseung put his hand on your head.
“We’ll get out of here,” Jay whispered, hands rubbing the small of your back. His eyes flickered up to Heeseung. “Together.”
Just then, a loud bang reverberated around the room as the doors slammed shut, and the sound of the locks turned right after. Everyone jumped, their eyes went to either of the doors, fear and terror written on everyone's faces. Jungwon was the first to move, walking to the door and trying to open it, but it wouldn’t budge.
“Is this the next puzzle?” You asked, stepping away from Jay and looking over at Jungwon, who looked at you with wide eyes.
The room started to fill with a smell that you couldn’t quite place, but it was starting to make your head woozy. Blinking a few times, you tried to clear the fog, but to no avail. Sunoo then dropped to the ground, making you gasp. You started to make your way to him, but your head started to spin.
Jay quickly grabs you, shouting at everyone to cover their mouths and noses with their shirts. However, it was too late. You collapsed in Jay’s arms, unconscious, while Heeseung stumbled before dropping to the ground as well. Before too long, everyone had succumbed to the gas and collapsed to the ground.
Tumblr media
The ringing in your ears was like an alarm, pulling you back to consciousness. Your eyes fluttered open, blinking hard to adjust to bright overhead lights. Once your eyes adjusted and the ringing dulled down, you looked around your surroundings. Your heart started racing the moment you saw Jungwon lying on the ground a few feet away from you.
You scramble to get to your feet, almost slipping and falling in the process, but you catch yourself before rushing to Jungwon’s side.
“Jungwon! Wake up!” You shake him roughly, hoping to get him to open his eyes, which he does after a few moments, bringing his hand up to shield his eyes from the bright lights.
“Y/n? What’s going on? Where are we?” Jungwon slowly sat up, blinking a few times to clear his vision.
Before you could open your mouth to say anything, the sound of your name being called caught your attention. Turning around, a loud gasp fell from your lips when you found Sunoo standing in a clear cage of sorts. Three locks adoring the door, trapping him inside. Your stomach dropped as you stood to your feet, ready to go over to him. However, you then saw Jake on the other side of the case, standing up with wide eyes. “Rise and shine! The early bird gets the worm as they say” A robotic voice came through the speakers, echoing around the room scaring you. Jungwon stands by your side as a large screen turns on, displaying a countdown, and all of your hearts sink. “Welcome to game number two! You may have gotten out of the first room with no trouble at all, but I can’t promise the same for this one.” Jungwon grabs your hand, causing you to look over at him before looking at Sunoo, who looks horrified, hands pressed against the glass. “Here, you will have a very limited time to complete all three puzzles to collect the key to let your dear friend out. However, if you can’t find them all within the time given to you, well…” The sound of water running, followed by a gasp, caused your head to snap in Sunoo’s direction, eyes growing wide. “He’ll be swimming with the fishes.”

Let's talk about the clock keepers!
With the last chapter (124), we have a lot of new things to look at and mostly, a lot of new questions. So let's look at what we know about them for now!
N°1's rumor shows right away what they are capable of. Putting even more emphasis on it and what they really do in the festival arc.
Tumblr media
The owls eat away the time of whoever entered the boundary and wasn't allowed to. And the dolls Kako creates would answer the question of 'what happens to the souls after the body is destroyed' . (Knowing that Mirai can destroy the souls and bodies, so the Owls are probably not that powerful.) It's a cruel and awful price to pay, but not that surprising from the supernatural's perspective. Knowing the skate was 'a human who wanna play god and control time'.
What they are doing is also literally written in their titles, they are described as 'Time guardians, representatives of the Past, the Present and the Future', they are called clock keepers because they are protecting the clock that controls time within the school, act and punish according to it.
But with this chapter showing them in a really grim light, it’s pretty hard to see how they can be described as ‘good’ guardians.
The last chapter is really showing the danger Nene is facing. Showing the boundary as a cold place with all the things the clock keepers have been hiding. To show all the risks she is taking to go back to her friends knowing fully what could happen to her. If she tries to change the past, the clock keepers may change her into a mechanical doll wandering aimlessly in their cold boundary.
Tumblr media
AidaIro have been trying  a lot to show how wrong and dangerous they were in this arc. We saw them through a lot of character’s pov, and all of them have been treating them as the biggest threat like Akane described them in chapter 108.
Tumblr media
Nene sees how horrible their methods are, everything is pointing at them for being cruel. They will maybe even not listen to her because she seems to have broken the representative of the present’s watch and Akane is nowhere to be seen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do they just punish anyone that seems to get too close to their powers? Humans mostly? Since the clock keeper of the present is a human too, does it mean they are affected by this?
The only reason for this would be if they gain something out of it. Would it mean the dolls have a bigger use than just filling the boundary. But what for? A soul? A body? A kind of sacrifice?
But it would be insanely hypocritical of Kako to do this, showing his clear disagreement about the pit god's situation and Hanako’s choice to not do anything when the school is in in danger.
Tumblr media
It’s not impossible, but only if the representative of the present breaks those rules they would suffer the same consequences as a normal human, they clearly have ‘autorisations’ over anyone else.
And I also think it makes sense for  a human to be part of this mystery.
Let's look at what happened when they decided to rewind time too.
Tumblr media
We just can’t decide which timeline is the worst. On one hand we have a muderous curse, and on the other hand, we have a whole school being 'killed' in record time, the students are being turned into supernatural beings and even if they can turn back they are still attacking other students and people present for the festival. The school is even more crowded than usual, the number of victims at the end of the day will be pretty horrible in both timelines. I am not surprised the clock keepers decided to act.
Changing a whole timeline is a huge deal, we even know that all of the Mysteries have limitations, prices to pay to be powerful.
Tumblr media
Shijima can’t stop drawing even if she wants to, Tsuchigomi has the power to know but is not allowed to act on anything, Hakubo can bring things back to life but also kills everything he touches, and the Clock keepers have mechanical/broken bodies.
Tumblr media
It may be the price they pay for their powers, Mirai seems in better shape than Kako too. The latter has to keep his mask on to hide his fake eyes. And they are dolls, the things they create to punish people. They can use their power to change the course of events but then have to go to sleep for a really long time, here for around 50 years, and just hope that what they did was the right choice. Kako’s role is one of ‘control’ over a lot of things, so not being able to do anything and not have any relevance for a long time is a big risk and price. Even more knowing a supernatural needs their rumor to continue to spread around to exist.
N°1 have a human in their team because they can break the ‘curse’ of their power. If Kako and Mirai can’t see anything and are forced to sleep to change the past, the clock keepers may use a human because they can observe what is happening in the living world, so they can observe the present. Akane was left to be the eyes  for the clock keepers in the new present like he is already in the original timeline. He reports things that seem suspicious to Kako.  Kako said it in his second appearance, their role is to observe at first, they take actions if they deem it necessary.
Tumblr media
Another thing to have in mind is that the clock keepers have also been kind of an exception since the beginning of the manga. They are the only mysteries to have ‘split powers’ in three, and several representatives. They are clearly important for the mysteries, being named number one and the oldest. Most of them show up to a meeting when they don’t when Hanako, the leader, calls for one. N°1 also don't fear to put their 'boss' on a trial.
Tumblr media
They have respect from the mysteries, but also from exorcists. None of the characters want to take action against them in a big part of the manga despite having caused a real mess across the school. Tsuchigomori’s yorishiro was taken for no real reasons than Hanako's plan, and Shijima '’only'’’ trapped 2 students in her painting for example.
Teru always talks about the clock keepers like they are above the others too. He lets them have a pass on a lot of things and they are the only mystery he was willing to ask for help, probably mostly because a human is among them. But if the clock keepers always had such insane techniques to recruit a human (pretending to kill students (cf:chap 25 with Aoi)), it’s strange that no exorcist has done anything against that. Teru threatened to get rid of other mysteries, like Hanako even when he is the leader. Even after saying how much he hates the timeline and being 'controlled' by them, he never actually mention getting rid of them after or regretting not doing it sooner. It's considered a problem for Akane for him, he is only ''vexed'' to work with them and he even advised Akane to be careful about the yorishiro to be able to use their power.
Tumblr media
We can point out that the inactions of the Minamotos clan may be because the mysteries are the real ‘pillars and yorishiros of the gods (Kami)’. Kako is the one who confirms that they are proxies of the gods , so close to deities. The mysteries’ yorishiros being clearly seals to a bigger danger (probably the pit god) But I still think the clock keepers have had a pass for the thing they did when others didn’t. Only two yorishiro were destroyed when they messed with the students' time.
Tumblr media
The broadcasting club strengthened their methods with each new mystery and they had to use an old mystery power to do only a distraction for n°1 with their usual use of Hanako and Nene, knowing that they are really cautious supernatural. They went right away for their weak link, the mortal one, and they are the last mystery they want to take out before the most powerful one (Mitsuba not even being considered as one) It's also the time where they finally use Natsuhiko's curse. A curse that can take out Mitsuba down immediately. They were rarely as pro active to go against a Mystery in terms of power.
Tumblr media
The moment being ‘now’ is also something to note. The clock keeper's powers may be more ‘fragile’ and/or powerful during this time, since the three days-ish of the festival are the time limit for people to forget if they ever rewinded time. The days before and during the festival are also the moment where the school time is the most unstable. Maybe they can do something that drastic only at this time, but it’s also the period where they are the most ‘weakened’ hence why the broadcasting club may have chosen this precise moment to act on them, Natsuhiko taking contact with Akane only when the preparations of the festival started. I would say that they can’t change the timeline when they want, a power like this may need a pretty big limit.
Tumblr media
The whole school being infested and killing students, their big clock being threatened, the boundaries between the supernaturals and humans nearly don’t exist anymore, the ‘enemy have gone this far’ with the curse on the school etc... The solution was to get rid of the root as Kako said. Because only rewinding time for the day wouldn't have been enough. I also think they didn’t mind what Shinigami did in the previous arc if it set things right. Kako even admits that Hakubo has extremes measures but doesn't stop him. It's not that surprising when you see what has been happening in the manga. They are “judges” after all and condemn things as they think it’s better to do.
Number 6's story being the last arc before the one of the clock keepers, was full of insane and drastic measures from a lot of characters. The story has more skates, it's normal for its progression. The more we go into the manga, the bigger the punitions are too. They lost everyone to the severance in the previous arc but they could get back because they weren't 'dead'. Now they don't exist as 'themselves' anymore, they have to literally change time to go back to their statu go. The clock keepers have been in the manga since nearly 100 chapters, it's great their story and the way they are handling things are awful to the characters. It doesn't mean they are right, but it's logical in term of story telling.
And now this is more of a personal preference, but I truly believe making a supernatural, especially a mystery, truly 'evil' now would go against the themes of this manga. None of the mysteries are shown through an ‘only evil lens’. Obviously they all take drastic measures that are awful to the livings half of the time, their morals and comprehension of life and death are way different than humans, it’s not even comparable. But the story always reminds us they do this for a reason, at least to them. Showing the clock keepers going 'oh yes we have been sacrificing people only to keep our power/be more powerful and nothing else' would be pretty strange in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Hakubo was only doing his job this whole time, being more a servant/slave unable to take decision on his own, Hanako has done of what he did out of love, Shijima tried to kill Mei only because she thoughts she was hurting her by existing, Yako wanted to see the only person she ever cared about and who teached her everything, etc
All rumors have a part of truths and lies in them we are missing a lot of informations here.
That would break the whole point of the mysteries and the fact we as readers try to empathize or at least have a perspective on why they do this. Even the God pit wasn't shown only as an evil entity when it has been eating dozens of people. And we could even argue that it tries to do the right thing from its pov by wanting to bring 'happiness' since humans asked for it, all of it is also being amplified by rumors. The villagers thought that to keep the pit god calm they had to sacrifice young girls, but it was also to ask for wishes, like 'happiness'. And the god pit answered.
Tumblr media
This is more of a stretch now but Kako being so extreme in his rules and choices may be because he is the one who already saw. He is the oldest supernatural they introduce in the manga, he is maybe even older than the god pit. He doesn’t even hesitate to say what It is to Akane, he seems to be the only one knowing that Tsukasa and him have merged. (w/o Tsuchi probablybut too many rules forces him to stay inactive/silent)  What kind of perspectives are we missing?
Going this extreme must be for a reason that we don't have for now. We don't know how many times they rewinded time, we don't know what happened to them.
And especially we don't know why they had to leave their city and country. Why did they have to go into a foreign land, keeping only the memory of an endless snow day spent next to the chimney with sweets and tea as the representation of what they can call home. It is also shown that the clock keepers, compared to other mysteries, spend a lot of time in the innermost reach boundary. Akane has clearly been there several times. And it's so personal too, they have their house here. We see that Tsuchi spends more ’casual/mundane’ time in the school than his boundary, Yako’s innermost reach is the start of the staircase where Misaki died, Hakubo's could only be described as 'the awful village Sumire was from' and Shijima's was Mei's dream. These last two mysteries never went into them before Nene appeared. Everything they still do and cook is filled with their previous life/home, and it's always shown in a reassuring light. I think there definitely will be a story around this, and I hope we will see how it's important to their roles, and their powers.
Tumblr media
Their yorishiro is a key to the big clock to control time, something that exists for them only because they are a mystery. But it also seems to lead to an ever more ‘secret’ part of the boundary. I have no idea what it means for them, but fire and comfort are always here in all their ‘most important places’.
It's too easy for now, to judge them and only categorize them as evil. Yes it's insane what they do, and not right to any other characters. But it's also not that drastic when you know the consequences of altering Time and what already happened in the manga previously, the two ideas can coexist.
The clock keepers are not an exception among the mysteries in terms of personnalities, they have traits all of them have.
They represent Judgment, or at least think they represent it. All mysteries are arrogant, the one being the most neutral about it being Hakubo, he's just doing his job and knows his capacities. But the clock keepers? They really are, probably the ones with the biggest ego. Kako is arrogant enough to not even care and take his time when danger arises because he knows he has time on his side.  His introduction actually already shows this side, his first appearance showing he came late because what's the point of being on time when you literally control it. Nothing is a problem when you can just go back in time like it never happened.
Tumblr media
Mirai may not go with the definition of arrogance at first glance, but she definitely shows it in a different way. The world is her playground, she is kept in the clock keeper's boundary because she can't help herself but use her powers and turn the whole school into a retirement home. Whenever she fights she has a big smile on her face and she is seen laughing a lot at people following her, acting like a child whenever she doesn't get her way. I think their arrogance is the main point of their story. They are awful because of it.
It's no wonder Akane is in the clock keepers , the idea to judge someone forever and stick to it is something really strong for them too. Kako has been stuck on Hanako's first introduction to him not even wanting to see him again for a really long time, just because he said ONE thing and Kako made his whole view about it, even bringing it back in a trial. They make their views on something and just stick to it forever. It’s not that surprising to see they go this far for people who try to control time, because they think they are right.
Tumblr media
Once again, it’s easy to see what’s wrong with them but they are not only shown as evil supernaturals since the beginning of the manga.
They are always shown as duty centered and described as stern and strict supernaturals. Kako doesn't hesitate to turn back time because it's Mirai who wrecked the school. So it's only fair 'because it's one of our own who did it, it's normal for me to fix it'. He works by the rules since his introductions in his manga, he is the most strict mystery and the one being the most bothered by what is happening in the school because it is ‘Their sworn duty to protect the school’.
Tumblr media
And they are just once again, as a lot of mysteries, taking their roles to an extreme for humans' standard. Kako's problem is that he is TOO serious, he knows his role, he knows how powerful they are, he knows his duty and he will make sure to do it. Even if his methods are awful. And I personally think that's what their arc, the next chapters, will be about.
That they were wrong and that it cost the lives of a lot of people and that especially Akane was a victim of it too.
Putting them as only ‘cold blooded and evil’ characters is also not fair when there are a lot of little interactions that at least shows that they care about human lives and the school to some extent and Akane. Mirai literally took a blow for him. After getting destroyed, the first thing she does when she wakes up, is checking if he is alright and asking to be praised, she doesn't check anything else only making sure he is okay because she knows Kako can physically fix her. And we know that Kako can rewind Akane’s time, but he maybe would remember what happened, which means Mirai took the blow to avoid him to feel the pain of being stabbed. This wasn't even scripted since Akane planned for Mirai to escape. She acts like a kid more whenever he is around and wears the name he gave her like a badge, clearly having fun with him. She is absolutely shocked when he orders her to never take a blow for him ever again, saying she is a child rather than a beast/monster like he does in all previous chapters.
Tumblr media
Kako forces Akane to have tea with them because he wants to congratulate him on a job done well. He is a bitch about it and is shocked because ‘what do you mean someone said no to him?’ and he uses his power to force him, but it’s a classic supernatural move, he does this because he can’t fathom that Akane would say no when they baked cakes specifically for him, it’s just another representation of his ego. Akane even admits that Kako listens to him at some point. If Teru wanted to ask for their help is also because they seem ‘'’reasonable’'’ supernaturals.
Akane has gone through a development in the manga that makes him question A LOT of what he knows, sees and assumes, that's his whole role. In the last chapters it is shown that Akane has a hard time to pinpoint exactly how he feels really about the clock keepers because he knows what their real role is, they are 'protecting' and that's something he can understand. But he hates the way they work. He says it throughout the whole series, but what can he do? He is literally just a random human boy among god powered beings. And it's no wonder Akane is also one of the only half supernatural.
Their whole thing is 'being humbled' by humans in this series.
And it's easy to say that humans are only victims in all the supernatural stories. They need to realize how much their actions and consequences are a part of the supernatural world. Supernaturals especially the mysteries, are bound by duties and rumors, they have to respect rules for the humans if they want to be part of their world, things happen because rumors were written, supernaturals start existing because of humans, the god pit became so powerful because humans made sacrifices asking for wishes. I kinda hope that Human’s greediness will be addressed, they are far more powerful than they think they are in the grand scheme of things.
Tumblr media
And it’s even more obvious when we see that all mysteries have a human and their death linked to their yorishiro. Which is also why I think there is more behind the clock keepers’ backstory, we know nothing of it and it will give us a new insight at what is happening. What happened to make them feel so much that they now go to all those extremes to respect their sworn duties as mystery n°1? I think they are arrogant and need to be put in place for what they are doing but I don’t think they are as greedy as a lot of fans are saying.  I have so many questions and I hope we will have some answers soon.
Tumblr media
We are missing information on so many things, why was Amane trying to get the clock moving too? He wanted to change time probably, but it’s not as simple as trying to move a 'magical' clock. Was his fate a consequence of this at some point? If Kako already knew Tsukasa had the god pit in him why not do anything sooner (Tsukasa became a real threat recently though, since he was locked in Hanako’s boundary probably and the clock keepers waited to be active)
So many things can’t be answered for now and it’s blurry on so many parts so it’s easy to make speculations, but once again I think the important thing here is ‘nuance’. Not all humans are ‘only nice’ and the supernaturals aren’t ‘only evil’, otherwise AidaIro won’t have any story to tell. And unfortunately I think it's a thing that has been clearly lacking in the writing of the recent arcs and the consequences of rushing storylines.
I am really scared for the next chapters but I also can’t wait for the clock keepers’ story to finally be shown!

♡My Dear, Don’t Ever Disappear | Neteyam S.
Tumblr media

❦Tags: Stalker!Neteyam - this man is actually crazy, muder🫢, porn w plot, dubcon/noncon, smutty af, kidnapping, pet names, biting, bondage, knifeplay, he loves you in a insane way. Word Count: 3k +
❦Author’s Note: NO PROOFREADING WE RAWDOG THIS! The voices got to me and I made this. Ooc Neteyam for mf sure but it’s just- ugh. My brain couldn’t stop thinking abt it<3
You woke up groggy, the first time you noticed was a severe ache in the back of your skull. What the hell happened? You opened your eyes to find you were not at home, nor in a hospital, you were in a cold concrete room. It had to be the old lab, a basement you hadn’t found yet. Well, that is unspeakably unsettling, you thought to yourself as your heart picked up its pace.
You winced as you tried to sit up, Your whole body was a dull throb, your arms stiff from their position. It took mere moments before you felt the cool touch of metal against your wrists, you tried to move away, but the sounds of chains clinking together gave away that they were keeping you on the floor. Panic slowly begun settling in the pits of your stomach, a looming sense of dread washing over you.
You were just going to work, walking out of base camp, and then nothing. Nothing at all. Trying to remember made your head pound, you didn't know what day it was, the fucking time, or if you were even in the same village. “Hello?”
Your voice echoed against the walls, the only response being the drip drop of water leaking through the walls, you were underground. That much you could tell. As your eyes adjusted to the dim light you noticed another presence, a figure standing at the door with their arms crossed.
“Boo.”
Your body jolted upwards, the chains pulling you back. You felt your blood go cold. They were tall, so tall you could hardly see all of them. You felt like the breath had been knocked out of your lungs, your mouth was dry and you could only stutter as he stepped forward. “No, no, no, no,” you mumbled to yourself, as he crouched down in front of you.
“Don’t fucking touch me! Somebody help! Help,” you screamed at the top of your lungs, the man didn't seem perturbed at all by your cries. “My Ewya, you’re loud,” he reached up, pulling the sloppily fashioned skull mask from his face. “Neteyam?!” You were baffled. Why was Neteyam here? This wasn’t some sick joke was it?
“Thank god you’re awake,” he sighed, his hand moving to push your hair out of your face. His fingers brushed against the gash on your forehead, causing you to wince. “I thought I hit your pretty little head too hard and put you in a coma.” His fingers trailed down the side of your face, his thumb swiping against your bottom lip, and you couldn't help but recoil. There was something different about him, he wasn't the same Neteyam that was so sweet to you.
“Neteyam what the fuck are you-” you were cut off by his voice, a crazed smile spreading across his face. “Surprise!” He yelled, throwing his hands up, he seemed ecstatic, and you had never felt more terrified. “I really wanted to do this differently, honestly, but it was so hard to get you alone.”
You could only stare, not wanting to say a word, the silence making your throat tighten. Neteyam looked down, his fingers tapping on his knees. You had never seen him like this before, his normal cheery and kind nature completely gone.“I-if Kyle finds out-”
Neteyam’s change in expression cut you off quickly, his eyes changing into something dark, his brow furrowing as his lip curled into a snarl. You swallowed thickly, not sure how to handle him, or the situation. “And what the fuck will a human named Kyle do to me? For Ewya’s sake I do not understand your obsession with this creature. He is weak, frail, short, pale skinned and so stupid.”
For just a moment you had a mere second to think and you were insulted on Kyle’s behalf. Yes, he wasn’t as tall as Neteyam or buff or particularly attractive but he was human. Neteyam huffed, his hand reaching up to pull your face towards him.
You were pulled back into reality as his fingers touched you, you were so pathetically helpless, chained to the ground, and at his mercy. His thumb rubbed along your cheek, and his eyes narrowed on yours. “It’s doesn’t matter now, yawne. I took care of him.”
Your blood ran cold, a sudden fear that he was speaking the truth, It made you want to vomit, a horrible pit forming in your stomach. But the way he said it, like he was proud of his actions, the look in his eyes as he stared down at you, it all made your heart drop. “You’re insane!”
“Only for you,” his smile reached both ears, a look that made the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. Your heart beat wildly in your chest, and your eyes started to water, your brain running a million miles a minute trying to come up with a solution, but nothing came. Neteyam leaned down, placing a kiss against your forehead.
It was… Oddly comforting, unnervingly soft. The way his lips felt against your skin was a stark contrast to his behavior, it was almost loving. “you’re so pretty when you cry, yawne,” his breath was hot on your skin, his voice soft, and it made your skin crawl.
“Fuck you, Neteyam.” You tried to turn away, but his grip tightened on your jaw, keeping you firmly in place, the chains digging into your wrists. You didn't want to look at him, and you certainly didn't want him looking at you. “You’ve read my mind, pretty.” You tried to squirm, and pull away, the chains biting into your skin and cutting into the delicate flesh. Your hands were numb from being locked in place, the muscles tensing and relaxing with the blood circulation.
“I really wish we could have done this in a nicer way… but you are so hardheaded. I was so nice, I did everything in the world to impress you... and not once did you notice me.” Neteyam unsheathed a blade you didn’t realize he was carrying, the metal glistening in the dim light. You felt tears well up in the corners of your eyes, the sight of it alone making your stomach flip, a knot forming deep within you.
The chains rattled as you squirmed, his grip tight on your chin. The metal slid across the delicate flesh of your jaw, it was cold to the touch and sent endless shivers down your spine. Neteyam traced his way down your neck, slowly running down your chest, stopping just before he reached your top. “I’ve dreamt of this for so long… of you, without these ugly human clothes, beneath me, whimpering and crying, of me, inside you... of you saying my name.”
A new feeling began creeping into your thoughts, it wasn't fear or panic, but something else entirely. His words, his voice, everything was too much, and it was beginning to make your head spin. Neteyam moved it slowly, slicing the fabric from the front of your chest, the knife easily cutting through the fabric of your blouse and bra. You didn't notice the cold air hitting the exposed skin, and all you could think of was his dagger as it trailed down your abdomen.
He let out a guttural growl as he stared down at you, his eyes transforming into something more animalistic. “You’re so perfect. I should have killed Kyle sooner…” Your core began to warm, a heat growing deep within your belly as his eyes roamed over your body, a new wave of shame and humiliation washing over you. This was turning you on, which was completely repulsive considering the situation.
Neteyam slid the knife along the inner part of your thigh, the sharp edge scraping against the supple skin, making you gasp. He took his time cutting the fabric, his movements precise, and careful, his gaze focused on the task at hand. Neteyam let out a sort of chuckle, pausing his movements as he gazed up at you, a curious look in his eye. “You like this don’t you?”
The next words came out as a stuttered, incoherent mess of denial. “N-no- you’re c-crazy! I hate you.” His blade sliced the thin string of fabric between your legs, cutting the material with ease. “Don’t lie to me, pet. I can smell you.” You bit your lip, not daring to make eye contact. The blade pressed against the inside of your thighs, dangerously close to your heat, and you felt your legs twitch.
You didn't understand this, the way the knife made your pulse race, the way his fingers danced across your skin made you burn. His hand moved slowly, the blade pressed against your skin, the metal cool against your warmth. You felt the knife drag, and you bit down harder on your lip, trying not to show any sort of reaction, not wanting to give him the satisfaction.
Neteyam moved the knife upward, dragging the metal against your gaped lips, the smoothness of the blade making your core tighten. Your mind was swimming, unable to concentrate, the blade was pressing harder, the sharp point breaking the delicate skin. A drop of blood seeped through, and Neteyam's eyes seemed to glow, his mouth hung open slightly.
Neteyam dropped the blade, the clatter echoing through the small room, his lips reaching out to touch the wound, a small red spot where the knife had been pressed. If there was any blood, it was washed away as his tongue lashed out, cleaning the area with long, slow movements.
Your mouth opened slightly, and a small whine escaped. Neteyam chuckled into your mouth, his hand snaking up your body to grasp at your throat. You couldn't help but moan softly, as his grip tightened around your windpipe, constricting your airways.
“You’re an ass,” you hissed, his hand loosening. You had a feeling the knife had been a trick, the way he had played it up and teased, the way he had made you feel. It wasn't a true threat, and he knew it. “Oh, you don’t want to play nice anymore? He pulled the chains that binged your wrists to the wall, yanking you out of position with a yelp. Neteyam pulled you so your face was mere inches from his, “ I see you, pet. I can be meaner, hm?"
You realized in this moment how his strength truly outmatched yours, his arms easily forcing you onto the ground. You tried to pull away, the cold floor biting at the bare skin of your back. Neteyam leaned down, forcing his mouth onto yours, his tongue slipping past your lips and into your mouth. You couldn't help but let out a muffled groan, the taste of blood lingering on his tongue.
His hands groped at the bare skin of your hips, his touch sending waves of heat throughout your body. He kissed you with an urgency, like he was starving for it, his teeth tugging on your lip. The sensation made a low groan slip past your lips, and his lips curled into a wicked smile. Neteyam’s tongue slipped out of your mouth, moving down your neck, his sharp teeth nibbling at your skin.
You felt your body begin to react, your blood pulsing, your chest heaving with each labored breath. It was disgusting, and humiliating. You were completely under his control, and you could do nothing about it. You could only watch as his hands wandered, as he moved his tongue down the front of your chest, the feeling of his dangling braids tickling your flesh. And for some reason, not even ewya could explain, you were enjoying it.
His lips wrapped around one of your breasts, his hot tongue gliding over the flesh. You threw your head back, moaning softly, his tongue flicking over the sensitive tip, his teeth lightly nibbling at the sensitive skin. Neteyam let out a deep groan, his mouth closing over it. You were so absorbed in what his tongue was doing to you, you failed to notice his hand slipping between your thighs.
You let out a strangled moan, as his long fingers brushed against your dripping folds. Your eyes snapped open, the sensation was so foreign. He slid a finger inside, pumping it slowly, his thumb circling around the sensitive bud. It felt incredible, and you hated that, the pleasure washing over you.
You could hear Neteyam let out a chuckle, the sound vibrating through his lips. "Look how wet you are, pet." He began forcing in another finger, stretching you out and filling you with a burning heat. You felt your eyes roll back, letting out a soft mewl, the sound of him thrusting into you echoed through the room.
"M-more, please," you begged, his fingers moving faster, the feeling overwhelming, making you squirm. "Please, more," you panted, your pussy beginning to clench around his fingers. “Beg louder.” Neteyam's hand gripped tighter around your neck, his fingers forcing themselves deeper, stretching you.
You could feel a coil building up inside, the sensation was too much, and you were so close. “Splease, Sso good,” you slurred. Neteyam proded at the spongy spot inside you, making the coil tighten further, your walls starting to quiver around him. “P-please! Teyam please!”
Neteyam pulled his fingers out suddenly, your orgasm being cut off immediately. You let out a loud whine, a pitiful plea to keep going, his fingers leaving a trail of your own slick as they moved up. Then, he slapped you clean across the face. The sound echoed through the room, and you felt your whole body tense up. The force of the impact was surprising, and it was quickly followed by a painful stinging.
"You thought I was going to let you cum so easily? After the attitude you’ve had all night? No way, brat, I’m going to ruin you first." Neteyam was so calm, his voice so collected, it was almost unnerving. You were stunned, obscenely horny, and mildly terrified of the monster in front of you.
He sat back, admiring his handiwork. You were spread out, bound, and completely nude. Your eyes met his, and a dark laugh bubbled up in his throat. "you should see yourself," he cooed. “You look so pretty all disheveled for me.”
Neteyam leaned forward, his long, deft fingers wrapping around your throat, forcing you up, the chains chafing the delicate skin. His mouth connected with yours, the kiss more heated than the others, his teeth tugging at your bottom lip. You could feel his excitement through his loincloth, the heat radiating off of him, his length straining against the fabric.
The sudden shift in emotions made you dizzy, his touch becoming rough, and violent. Then twisting into slow and sensual, the way his tongue gilded against yours, the way his lips moved expertly against yours, the way his hands moved along your body. "I'm going to mark the fuck out of you so no man ever comes near you again.”
Neteyam grasped at your hips, proving his superior strength by flipping you over with ease. One of his large hands wrapped into your hair, the other pulling your ass up so you could feel him. He was undeniably huge, so thick, and in no way was he going to fit inside you. The sensation alone made you whimper, and it only got worse as he rubbed himself against you.
The sound of him unfastening his cloth, the jingling of his jewelry was enough to make your core tighten. His cock slipped between your folds, the head rubbing against your clit. Neteyam let out a low growl, the feeling of him making you shudder, his hands gripping the back of your neck.
Neteyam forced himself inside of you, the sudden intrusion making you scream out, and tears well up in the corners of your eyes. He was impossibly big, filling you entirely, stretching you. You let out a series of broken moans, as he slid out only to thrust back inside. Neteyam's free hand slid down your spine, his fingers gently caressing your back, before he slapped your ass.
“That’s it, baby. Keep screaming my name just like that.” Neteyam's voice was strained, the words coming out like a hiss. His grip tightened on the base of your neck, holding you firmly in place, while his hips pounded against you. The sounds of his body hitting yours echoed through the room, his cock stretching you with each thrust.
He wasn't going easy, "F-fuck me!” you cried out, as his cock grazed your g-spot. Neteyam dropped his head into the crook of your neck, his teeth leaving an imprint, his hands holding you down, his body flush against you.
The knot began to build once more, and Neteyam picked up his pace, fucking into you with reckless abandon. You moaned and whimpered, unable to stop the obscene noises that fell from your lips. His heavy panting sent chills down your spine.
Neteyam let out a deep, animalistic growl, his nails digging into the soft flesh of your hips, his teeth biting into your shoulder. "You feel so good around me, baby.” His cock throbbed inside you, his tip pounded at your cervix. You felt your pussy clamp around him, the feeling making Neteyam's hips jerk, and you let out a loud, pleasured wail.
You were so close, and the knot in your belly was tightening. “Please can I cum?!” You yelled out. Neteyam pulled himself from the warmth of your body, and you could hear his breathing turn ragged. “No no no, I have to see you.”
You didn't have to wait long, Neteyam flipped you onto your back, and his lips met yours. You felt his cock press against your folds, the head of him pushing past the entrance. His lips attached themselves to the side of your neck, his hands sliding up your chest to wrap around your throat.
Neteyam's hips met yours, his cock pounding inside you, “keep begging, yawne.” His long fingers moved to circle your clit, his thumb rolling the sensitive nub, making your eyes roll back. “Please, Neteyam,” you cried, “sgood, please can I cum!”
"Are you going to be a good little girl from now on?" Neteyam hissed, his fingers moving faster. You nodded, as you let out a low cry, "y-yes! P please, I’ll be good! You were on the verge of tears, your mind clouded. Neteyam let out a guttural groan, his pace picking up but his movements getting progressively sloppy.
Your legs began to shake, the knot was beginning to unravel. Neteyam's cock throbbed inside you, and you knew he was getting close too. "i-im gonna-" His fingers curled around your throat, stopping your sentence. “Cum on this dick like a good pet.”
Your eyes rolled into the back of your head, your body started to convulse, your muscles tensing, and then unraveling. Your orgasm ripped through you, causing you to thrash, and scream. You felt your pussy clench tightly around his length, the euphoria making your mind hazy. Neteyam's body trembled, his cock twitching as he spilled inside you. His seed filled you entirely, warming your belly, and dripping out onto your thighs as he pulled out slowly.
You were spent, too weak to move and too dazed to think straight. Time passed fast, the loss of his body heat lost in your head. You felt him shift beside you, his head dangling over yours as he peppered kisses onto your face. “You’re so pretty all fucked out…” he cooed, his hand gently rubbing your head.
You murmured something in reply, not fully hearing what he was saying. “I’m so happy you’re here with me, yawne.”Neteyam spoke, his voice soft. You heard his voice echo through the room, the words becoming jumbled as sleep overtook you. He continued petting your hair, watching you sleep peacefully. This was nice, harder than he expected, but it was nice.
“And you’re going to be here with me forever…”

previously...
my hands tangled in his hair, the smell of his cologne and cigarettes filling my senses, everything just feels right.
an abrupt knock interrupts us, mattheos hand covering my mouth
"dude come on, snape is pissed you missed class and his lecture, we gotta go" a voice comes from the other side of the door.
fuck, it's my brother.
---
i pull away from mattheo, my panicked state clear to him
my eyes scream "what do we do" and he knows it
"mattheo?? come on we're gonna be late." theo yells again
i run towards his closet, trying to find a place to hide, accidentally tripping in the process
"fuck!" i yell, immediately using my hand to cover my mouth afterwards
"you got a girl in there, riddle?" theo says from the other side of the door
eventually theo breaks his way inside, letting out a scoff at the sight of mattheo's messy hair and unbuttoned shirt
"so.. where is she?" he says, scanning the room
"uhh she left" mattheo says, unconvincingly
"right, through where? the window??" he says sarcastically, looking out the window, showing nothing but lake far beneath them
"dude just let it go, lets go to class" mattheo says, grabbing theos arm
"no i wanna know who this girl is, you seem a little too secretive over her. what is it pansy or something?" he says laughing, looking under the bed and in the bathroom
"just drop it" mattheo says again, more agressive this time
i have my hand over my mouth, trying to be as quiet as i can.
theo looks around more, gaze shifting towards the floor, seeing my bookbag
he glances back up and mattheo, picking up the bag
"huh.. y'know whats funny is that my sister has this exact same bag... coincidence?" he says sternly
"uh- yeah, i mean its a pretty common bag-" mattheo starts, before the sound of stuff knocking over in the closet interrupts him
"fuck" i mumble, quiet enough for only myself to hear
theo looks at the closet, then mattheo, quickly walking towards it, opening it as fast as he can
his face drops at the sight of me with smudged lipstick and my tie taken off
"oh you're fucking dead" he turns around, punching mattheo
i bolt up, screaming
"theo stop!" i try to pull him away from mattheo, his elbow hitting my eye in the process
fall to the floor, clutching my eye "ow! fuck!" i yell
they both immediately stop, turning to me
"oh shit i'm so sorry" theo says, bending down to my level
"what the fuck did you do?!?" mattheo yells, gently taking my hand off my eye to examine it
theo watches intently, noticing the gentleness and how mattheos gaze instantly sofented
"does this hurt?" he says, pressing down lightly
i wince, not needing to say more
"i have stuff in my bathroom, ill get you cleaned up" he says, grabbing my arm helping me stand up
theo scoffs, walking out of mattheos dorm with his arms crossed
---
"thanks again mattheo, seriously." i say, walking down to the common room with him
"of course lo-" he stops at the sight of theo sitting on the couch staring at us
"sit." he says, causing us to look at eachother
we sit on the couch across from him, the silence filling the room for a few minutes
"listen, i dont care what you do, as long as you dont do that nasty shit around me, but riddle, if you hurt my sister ill actually fucking muder you, got it?" he says sternly and mattheo nods
theo then glances at me "hows the eye?" he asks
"bruised, thanks to your bulky elbows" i say sarcastically and he chuckles
"whatever, see you two later" he says, walking out of the common room
that leaves me and mattheo, alone, and sure we hooked up before getting rudely interrupted. but me and mattheo.. dating? i guess i just didnt think he'd see me that way.. theo sure thinks otherwise
i abruptly stand up, excusing myself and heading back to my dorm
"wait-" mattheo starts, but i rush off
we've been friends for so long, and yes, he's hot as shit.. but in hindsight i cant help but think
what are we?

DEBUNK OF TIT FORESHADOWING
hello! i promised a recap and debrief of all the times dip and pip teased what happens in the terrible influence show, so here it goes, brace yourself 'cause it's gonna be a long one
GENERAL REMARKS
so i started with the videos posted during the summer, since they were rehearsing the show during that time. i might go further back if this post does well (they said they've been writing for six/seven months and they were already teasing during dan's birthday stream). anyway, there were some recurring hints that i'm gonna get out of the way now:
a LOT of emphasis on the fact that it's been nearly 15 years of dan and phil (cough cough, reminds me of phil's infamous inconsistant line about their anniversary coming up in octodecember, cough cough)
a lot of ancient lore being introduced by 'the year was 2009/2011/2015', which is generally reminiscent of the recap at the beginning of the show, and most are the actual years featured in that segment of the show
they acknowledged 'we are ph-', which they also use in the show i.e. the phouse, the phortgage, the pheal, the phitchen, etc.
they are SO aware of the moms/dads/straight boyfriends that we have forced dan and phil onto, they kept asking us to bring them and they acknowledge them several time in the show
DNP GOING AWAY Q&A (1st Sep.)
strong emphasis on the haitus (reminiscent of phil's dramatic haitus microphone moments)
say they might adress the japhan wedding conspiracy (which they do!)
the nude colored briefs (are for sister daniel)
at 2:45, phil says 'gay' and the rainbow light and sound effect happen just like in the show
dan mentions red flags (might be far fetched but reminded me of the green flags/red flags of lawyer!dan and doctor!phil)
phil says cunt (like in the show)
'no but seriously imagine it'
phil broke a rib during repetition of 'some kind of stunt event' (during the boxing/wrestling match)
they spent $300 on silicon for 'full body character transformation onesie' for 'a perfectly unsexual moment of the show' (read: phil wears fake abs while pretending not to have sex with dan on stage)
Dan: 'you're not a 365 party girl? terrible influence when you're bumping that?' (charli xcx is on the preshow playlist and it teases the terrible song)
reveal of the 'dan and phil made me gay' T-shirt, teasing of the sweatshirt and black tour T-shirt
DATE NIGHT WITH DNP (25th Aug.)
dan sings muder on the dancefloor (which is on the preshow playlist)
dan going 'ohmygod they SHARE CLOTHES' (one of the conspiracies addressed in the show)
WRITING PHAN FICTION ABOUT OURSELVES (19th Aug.)
it's a fill-in-the-blanks game, as they do multiples times in the show (okay, not really foreshadowing as they've done this in all of their shows, but i think it was a way to introduce this to the newer audience maybe)
MrBeast mention
DNP REACT TO TATINOF (16th Aug.)
phil: 'fall out boy! my chemical romance! the shipping had started!' (basically all the ingredients of the no seriously imagine it post)
'if we asked people to confess stuff now it would be so much worse' 'the tone might be different' & 'and if you come to our show, there might be a different tone' (so... confess your sins to sister daniel, need i say more)
#spon (which is now #ad in the terrible song)
'i went to see dan and phil and all i got was this lousy plate' (EXCUSE ME DAN??? he was basically spoiling the merch two weeks in advance) (this is the moment that inspired me this post btw)
dan 'professional hater' howell is now the one starting the song in tit
'imagine that but 2025. we're old. we're gay. phil can say fuck' (and indeed, he says fuck)
DNP PLAY DRESS TO IMPRESS (11th Aug.)
they wear the matching 'precious baby angel' t-shirts (same phrase used to describe phil in the show)
DNP DRESS EACH OTHER (14th July)
Phil: 'like two Kens playing with Kens' (i bet pj was crafting the little rooms and the little dolls at this point)
they both have mesh shirts as the main show outfits
'how booty are the shorts, dan?' 'i'm not gonna bend over in these things'.... except for the photocards that feature your ass in those shorts!
the two first look (emo!phil and beach!dan), the white cowboy hat, phil's blue and purple bomber jacket are all featured in the photocards sold at the show
DNP MASSIVE MUKBANG 2 (5th July)
'we've been doing this since 2009 and 2006 *excerpt from phil's first videoblog*' (that's literally the opening of the show)
'we reclaim what Dan and Phil is in 2024'
'we’re gonna look at what YouTube is like in 2024, how do we fit in, we’re gonna be taking shots at people'
'we’re gonna spill some things that would have sent you into cardiac arrest seven years ago' (2024-7=2017. so basically any of the conspiracies they adress from that time, like the tour bus, vegas, etc.)
'we’re gonna go full theater kids' (oooh teasing the musical number already)
'what do people want? Series mystery hunting, lifestyle cooking, real life, get a dog, domestic' (that's basically all the things they try on stage)

hannigram fic idea: hannibal is a flourine molecule and will is a carbon molecule and they merge to create C8, Perfluorooctanoic acid or PFOA, a forever chemical used products such as flame retardant and non stick cookwear. The chemicals have been see to lead to cancer and birthdefects. The chemical is a forever chemical because the Flourine is an atom with 7 valence elections, one electron away from a full shell, making it highly reactive. Hannibal is close to having everything: he's rich, he has a successful career, he gets away with his muders, and he gets his feasts. Theres one thing missing however-- hannibal's lonely. He has 7 valence electrons and once he gets his 8th, his person, he's never letting go. Carbon has 4 valence electrons, far from a complete shell. It's not nearly as reactive as flourine, parallel to will who starts the show subdued and comparatively non reactive. Once will and hannibal meet and bond, there is no separating or destorying their relationship. The two always come back together and are never fully able to break their bond, just like C8. Additionally, hannibal and will together are bad for the earth just like C8 is, killing and mutilating humans around the world. The FBI is DuPont, the chemical company that created C8 and unleashed it upon the earth, and Jack is Roy J Plunkett, the chemist who created C8. Jack and the FBI brought hannibal and will together like how Roy J Plunkett and DuPont brought carbon and flourine together.

i do think its interesting that people often focus on nureyev seducing people in order to steal from them when he really doesnt do it that often. he does it what, twice? that we see of. three times if you count nova, although thats more of a crime of opportunity. and one of those times was with juno who we know he was genuinely attracted to, so its possible he wouldve used another distraction had that not been the case. he was just picking his pocket, its not like the key was inside junos mouth.
its probably just perspective bias: we see him as more inclined to that sort of behaviour because he's genuinely sexually and romantically attracted to the point of view character, so thats the impression we get of his behaviour and personality, and the first example we get of a con he pulls. even if that isnt broadly reflected in his choices and behaviour in other jobs (the thief among us, train from nowhere, prince of mars, man in glass (wrt to the main heist), infernal grind, vanishing act, etc. even the initial heist of the muderous mask).
but i'm not here to harp on flanderization. my point is that when you consider that seduction isnt his go-to strategy and is something that that, up until season 5, we have only seen him do when he is actually romantically or sexually attracted to the person he's stealing from (juno). (again theres nova, but he isnt really "seducing" her? like she just makes it up in her head that theyre in love and hes going to leave his wife for her and he takes advantage of that after the fact.) his behaviour in recipe for disaster seems... kinda weird.
this isnt Just Another Job for him, its not What He Does To Get Things, he is making a deliberate choice to use seduction here... why? obviously hes not actually in love, so does peter nureyev, master thief, really NEED horace rao's help with this? i mean, i'm not a thief and its not like i was there, but juno gets in without it, and could probably have stolen grandpappy's recipe himself if he wanted to and nureyev didnt pull the alarm on him. surely nureyev could figure something else out, especially since planning a heist with someone 1. who is not a criminal and 2. who's family's livelihoods depend on the thing you're trying to steal seems unnecessarily risky. what if he told someone? what if he changed his mind? its not like the thief among us, where some rich lady takes a hit to her ego and then goes out to buy all new stuff with her millions of creds. the embarassment doesnt outweigh the theft in this case. his family needs this, and at the end of the second part he does, in fact, confess to everything, albeit too late to actually do anything about it. it seems almost inevitable that he would, once its clear nureyev isnt coming back, with the guilt of betraying his family and sending them and himself into financial ruin hanging over his head.
and at long last we reach the thesis of this post. the confession IS the point. what does rao's confession accomplish? well, it tells us who committed the crime and how, which is useful to juno for getting out of prison and the rao's for learning what happened to grandpappy's recipe, the first of which nureyev wasn't really planning for until juno shows up in the greenhouse (AFTER he already did the plan), and the second of which, to put it bluntly, he doesn't really care about. secondly... it upsets juno. the things horace rao describes immediately remind him of his own relationship with nureyev. telling him he loved him and wanted to run away with him in season one, acting like they were partners in crime and planning a heist (or two or three) with him, only to run away with the thing(s) they were planning to steal in season three.
these parallels arent just a coincidence, or an unfortunate consequence of the best way to steal grandpappy's recipe. all of it is deliberate. nureyev KNOWS that juno will be following him, KNOWS he is going to get to the bottom of this case, and he is using horace rao to try and convince juno that their relationship was just another con to him. he does this to EVERYONE, so dont follow him. he never meant it, so just let it go. he can't say it, but he's hoping that juno will put the pieces together on his own, will feel insulted enough by the lack of weight nureyev's words seem to hold that he stops looking for him.
luckily juno knows better than that.

What really amuses me (or annoys, depending) is that we always manage to look for more than meets the eye, assuming the show has more depth to it, when in truth it’s lacking in so many ways.
We seem to forget what we’re dealing with here. And what that is? Is a novela, pure and simple. A Spanish one, true. But a novela just the same. And while in the beginning, for the most part, quality prevailed? It’s more and more obvious the show is becoming plagued by the inconsistencies of its genre.
We’ll never have a sensitive topic such as SA treated with the care and empathy it deserves (if anything, it encourages the message that victims are better off if they keep silent; the SA itself and the inherent misogyny? they were just background noise for the now 20+ episodes narrative of a woman suffering the consequences of looking for justice that was legally denied)
We’ll never see Fina’s recovery as it should have been treated.
We’ll never see Marta’s own trauma addressed.
I severely doubt we’ll see them healing together in a way that feels rewarding, empathetic and well thought out. We’ll get hints that they spent the night together, that they talked about their feelings and addressed the problems they’re facing. Hints and more hints. Surface level depictions that don’t really bother going beneath the surface. One of those high-speed trains that seldom stop at any station for more than a few minutes, the scenery a blur at the edge of one’s vision. Expecting more? Well, it might be asking for too much. We either enjoy what we can and as much as we can, or we desist. Plain and simple.
As for more of today’s events?
1. Just like Marta is a grown up, capable of making her own decisions? So is Tasio. For Carmen to lay all the blame at Marta’s feet is ridiculous. As is the show persisting in comparing her to Jesús, who is a de facto muderer and whose violent actions don’t have repercussions + let’s add Don Pedro to the list, whose revenge ended with the murder of the one responsible for his son’s death - I doubt there’ll be consequences as, after all, he’s a man and allowed to get away with it. For Marta though? Pandora’s box and all its blessings. May I just say succumbing to rage and helplessness one time, does not a violent person make, nor does it undo the moral tapestry of Marta’s character (for all the show loves to punish her for it).
But I’m digressing. Tasio is not a saint and to pretend otherwise is laughable (Carmen herself suspected he orchestrated the entire thing to curry favour with his father? I mean. Her trust in him is somewhere below sea level, no need to pretend otherwise. More so, she seems to forget it was Damián who paid for Tasio’s out-of-jail-card: claiming Marta’s family wouldn’t help him is borderline absurd). Marta didn’t force him to do anything, he chose to help her of his own free will. And at the end of the day? Marta never shies away from doing the hard thing: taking accountability. And she does it every single damn time, no matter how hard it is. (let’s see if Tasio ever gets there, fully). And I now find myself needing a scene where Fina defends Marta with Carmen.
2. They found the most contrived way of using Marta’s journal against her - if it is her journal, that is; for all we know it’s Marta’s calculus notebook (Santiago invading their safe space and just so happening to find it laying there? It’s not only supremely absurd but a sacrilege as well, yet another violation of their intimacy). Rather funnily, this show might be trying to preach violence is not the answer yet here we are, ascending to the next level altogether (I personally don’t see any other way to be rid of Santiago - his demise needs to be imminent and it needs to happen). Not to mention how outlandish it is that a nobody is able to get into Fina’s cell, waltz into Marta’s office or walk onto their property like so? This level of absurd is top-tier for sure.
3. The one consistent thing? Marta’s love for Fina and Fina’s love for Marta. That hasn’t changed and it won’t (it’s very much obvious Marta is nothing but irritated with Pelayo and for good reason: that man is like fungus, chemical treatment needed)
Oh well. Since the inane seems to be the way? Let’s join the circus: Santiago is moved to tears upon reading Marta’s journal and gives them his blessing, for Pelayo and Santiago it’s love at first ‘stache and they buy the property next to Marta’s so they can be felices los quatro, Jesús launches a business promoting hair-growth (dar en el calvo) and Eladio writes a book in prison (from SIcario to NOcario).
On the bright side? Flirty and Horny Fina is back tomorrow? Or so it would seem. She’s been dearly missed 😌 Furthermore? For everything that’s not being said, shown or addressed? It’s still a feat Mafin remains the healthiest relationship on the show. No doubt about it!!!

Okay I’m going to make a quick prediction list/stuff I would like to see for the final chapter of Tetro Pink before the episodes release tomorrow:
Tamba will be confronted about almost killing Hiroaki whether by Mai or Ojima
Ojima and maybe a few others(Mai, Tamba) might confront Ken about him reading their profiles.
HIROWADA CONTENT PLEASE! I need to see their friendship more and plus Wada definitely in a dark state of mind with how he was in [To be Needed] and now losing Hama and Watari. I feel like especially if Wada feels like he should be gone that Hiroaki can help him out with how he felt like he shouldn’t be here since he…attempted in ch.3 before Ojima stopped him.
Ken and Hiroaki might hang out more if most of the group upset at them for the trial with their behavior during it maybe?
I think Shigeki going to confess to Mai this chapter. I just have a feeling.
Manifesting Ken and Wada at least interacting once together this chapter. JUST ONCE PLEASE I BEG YOU VON-
I have a feeling the motive is either just going to be battle royale or just “Y’all an decide now to kill and go through one more trial to end this all or just live here forever. If you chose the latter, we will no longer monitor you and just live you here to rot”.
Students might try to figure out a new escape plan if they get hope or figure out something
Ojima back at it again talking to Monomoko and maybe seeing what’s wrong with her.
Tamba and Ken interaction/mourning over Kamimura maybe?
I’m betting whoever who will die, its gotta be between Ojima, Yanagi, or Hiroaki.
WE’RE GETTING THAT TAMBA STUDENT SPOTLIGHT, VOTE FOR TAMBA FOR 2025 9TH STUDENT SPOTLIGHT *screams this as I get dragged away as I claw the door frame*
Tamba might finally be right about poison being the muder weapon or at least get to do a closing argument if Wada doesn't get to do it or goes mute.

So this is another episode of stories I want to read and I don't have the energy to write because it's 2am and I still can't sleep: real enemies to lovers past life au
And I mean I want a real enemies to lovers Bridgerton au where the Bridgertons straight up killed their love interest in the most Brutal way possible because they were that bad. Maybe its a past life in a fantasy world where the Bridgertons were dark overlords and their enemies were a powerful band heroes trying to defeat them who were killed by them to maintain power. But when the heroes died, the Bridgertons realized that there was nothing woth conquering anymore without an arch enemy and pretty much destroyed the world
But then the reincarnation happens and it's 1800 regency England and the spouses immediately recognize the people who killed them in a past life and go like ' nope, I don't like people who murdered me in my past life 'while the Bridgertons themselves don't know why they feel drawn to these people who keep fighting/avoiding them.
Kate knows Anthony murdered her in her past life, she remembers and he doesn't, in her past life she was a powerful mage who saw her friends die one by one trying to eradicate the Bridgertons and faced off with Anthony in a brutal final battle, in this life she's trying to protect Edwina from the vultures of the ton and he's trying to get close to Kate, for someone unknown reason. she's going to shoot him one of these days and struggles with the knowledge that in this life he's done nothing to deserve it. he's all she ever trained to destroy in her past life, in this one, he's just a foolish man, how can she let go of old grudges if he keeps frustrating her so much and trying to get on her good side
Sophie was a saint with healing powers in her past life, she's a maid in this one, big deal she can get trough this. Her plan is to reach spinster age, hunt down Phillip or Simon and start her own medicine practice. Except that the guy who killed her in her past life somehow found her first, he's offering to help her get a job as a maid in his house ( serving his other 7 muder happy siblings? No thank you) she's trying to avoid him, found work with Lady Danbury, and he thinks they're soulmates just because she nursed him that one time. Seriously if she wasn't honor bound as a healer in her past life she would have left him to die!! Why wont he get away from her.
Penelope was killed in the least violent way, past life Colin was almost gentle when he killed her, so she's always had a soft spot for him. She was willing to let the past life lie and be his friend until he said he'd never court Penelope Featherington!. As if she would want him to! That idiot!. In her past life she was a paladin who never married and had her life cut short by Colin..She's going to save up her LW money, buy herself a husband and move far away from her former executioner... Wait a minute! He should take responsibility for that, she didn't even have a first kiss in her past life because of him! He should give her one! She's determined not to die a virgin in this life and she's going to make it Colin's problem if he keeps sniffing around her business!

James and Lily Potter are dead.
Yes, sure, they know this sucked. They know how their family must miss them, how broken their friends must feel.
But Harry was still alive.
And from the moment the pair entered the afterlife, there was not a thought in their heads other than this.
Their son. Their only child. Their baby.
Alive.
Harry was still down there. He was alone and crying in his crib, the bodies of his parents lay motionless on the floor beside him.
Harry was alone.
Except... he wasn't.
There came Sirius, the first to arrive.
James cried as he watched him run to their son, scoop him up out of his bed and hold him close to his chest.
Lily screamed and pounded on the floor as she watched their best friend break for the first time in years. Neither of them had ever heard Sirius in such pain.
They loved him, both of them, to see them crying and grieving without them was torture.
And when Hagrid came to take Harry away, when Sirius begged to let him take care of Harry, when Hagrid denied, when Sirius lent him his flying bike, his baby, James had never felt so numb.
Sirius crumpled to the floor beside James, he held Lily's hand and pushed James' messy hair out of his face. There was nothing to be done, there was nothing either of them could do but wait and watch.
So they did.
James wished he could keep himself from checking on Sirius, he knew how badly it broke him to see him in that cell, but he couldn't look away for very long.
Oh, how he shouted and cursed and flung every hex he could think of when Sirius had been convicted of a crime he didn't commit, of a muder and betrayal Peter Pettigrew had.
James had never felt more angry than the moment watched his best friend get dragged away to that horrible place.
And Remus... Lily wanted to give him a sign, she wished she could simply write it out in the stars for him.
Sirius is innocent.
But the afterlife doesn't work that way. So they waited. And they watched.
They watched as Remus grew gradually thinner. As his hair became streaked with gray at an age far too early for what was normal. As he gave himself up to the life of poverty and sadness and grief he had been saved from for as long as James was still alive. But James wasn't alive anymore, and Remus had nobody else.
They watched as Remus dutifully accepted dangerous jobs from the order, uncaring of his own safety and what would happen if he wouldn't come back home.
And when Regulus gave up his own life in that cave, ordering his house elf to destroy the locket at any cost, James embraced him like a brother.
So the three of them, the unlikely set that they were, they sat and they watched.
Slowly, as the war grew colder and the years flew by, they were joined by others, Mary Macdonald, Marlene Mckinnon, Dorcas Meadowes, Alice and Frank Longbottom, the Prewett brothers, Evan Rosier.
So many people lost to this war.
But James and Lily still had their son. They still had Harry.
So they watched.
They watched in horror as Lily's sister left Harry in a closet for nearly eleven years. As her son bullied him. As he grew tall and lanky, never quite filling out the way he should have.
They watched as he grew to look like the spitting image of his father. Every piece identical except for one.
His eyes.
He had Lily's eyes.
James cried over this often, over how quickly he seemed to grow. Lily would have given anything to be there for every birthday, for every Christmas and new years and to bandage him when he fell and cheer when he stood back up.
So when he was finally taken away to hogwarts, when he met his friends on the train and got into trouble and took down a troll with nothing but wits and a wand up its nose, James was proud. Lily was prouder.
This was their son. Born of love, lost in tragedy, then found once more by the castle they would both forever call their home.
And Harry grew up.
They watched him the most, smiling and laughing alongside him. Beaming at his triumphs, clutching each other in fear as he faced death again and again.
They watched as he was forced to mature faster than he ever should have, as he stood back up no matter how many times he was knocked down.
When he sat before the mirror of erised, for a moment, just one moment, they could almost pretend they were right there with him.
Tears, filled their eyes as he spoke to them directly, as he called them mom and dad, as he explained how he wished he could have gotten to know them.
And James would have given anything for just one more touch, one more hug. Just to be smiled at by his son one last time.
But he could only watch.
The longbottoms were of great comfort to them when their souls finally arrived, laughing with tears spilling down their cheeks as their sons became closer. As they faught and battled alongside each other just as their parents had done in the order.
But then.
James had nearly gone a month without checking in on Sirius, he still thought of him every day, but he couldn't bear the sight of him starving himself a single moment longer.
Until he escaped.
James, Lily, and Regulus watched in great anticipation as Sirius made his way across the water.
Sirius then lived a quiet, lowly life, and he waited just as his late friends were. He hid in abandoned warehouses and kept up his animagous form, feeding off rats and the scraps he found behind restaurants.
It was reaching the point where James couldn't take the suspense anymore, Harry had moved in with his best friend, Molly and Aurthur's kid, and was being well taken care of at this point.
So James focused on his best friends. On the pair he'd watched grow to love each other more than anyone.
Remus accepted a teaching position at Hogwarts shortly after the news of Sirius' escape.
It took Remus nearly two weeks to calm himself down after reading it in the papers. He'd thrown things, screamed into his shabby apartment walls, pulled his hair and curled into a ball just to sob.
But he did. He got better. He cleaned himself up and found the nearest train to London. He was going to be a professor. He was going to be Harry's professor.
Lily cried when they met on the train, a long awaited moment she had been turning over in her mind for years on end.
James' laugh was filled with nostalgia when he offered him chocolate. Merlin, the man could never live without that chocolate.
And as they grew close, as Remus taught Harry to protect himself and all three Potters listened to Remus regale old stories of the Marauder's past, they watched and waited for any sign of Sirius Black.
When it came, Lily's emotions were so stretched thin she swore she was going to explode. Remus figured it out quickly. The map- the one they'd made together as kids- was the thing to give it away.
Peter was alive.
And Remus knew it.
Harry had run after Weasley into the tunnel that lead to the shrieking shack. Sirius was still presenting himself as Padfoot and dragged the boy by his leg.
James' fingernails were knawed to nothing by the time Remus arrived, staring at the group in the small room.
James felt a wave of relief when he watched Remus disarm Harry, when he helped Sirius to his feet.
Everyone in the afterlife could see it the moment they locked eyes.
They were still in love.
James had known from early on their love wasn't the type one could just forget about. So here they were. And Remus embraced him.
They explained, rather poorly, to Harry and his friends why Sirius was innocent, why Remus was trusting him.
Lily continuously called them both idiots for their delivery of their story. James smiled and shook his head in amusement, Sirius was dramatic as always then, no amount of time in Azkaban could take that away it seemed.
And when Snape appeared, causing Lily to scowl and James to narrow his eyes, it seemed as though they'd lost their hope. Nobody would believe Sirius to be an innocent man. Though, James did agree the pair bickered like an old married couple.
It was safe to say it left every jaw dropped and every set of eyes wide when Harry and his friends sent him flying backwards, knocked out from the force of all three spells hitting him at once.
Harry came to trust Remus, and when the rat was revealed to be Peter, James watched Sirius' thinly concealed eagerness to kill him.
But Harry spared him, ever his parent's son, he told Remus and Sirius he didn't think James would want his best friend to become murderers.
Lily smiled at how much he'd grown, at how truly far he had come from the small boy they held in their arms all those years ago.
Every moment he experienced, they experienced with him, every hardship, every laugh, every tear.
More war, more time spent on the run, more tragic loss and heroic recoveries.
The battle of the department of mysteries was one none of them would ever forget.
James couldn't believe his eyes, if he hadn't been watching so closely he might have missed it.
Sirius was dead.
Nobody knew what to say, how to come to terms with such a sudden loss.
But then Sirius joined them, a renunion filled with tears. Regulus hugged his brother, something he hadn't done since they were kids. James and Lily pulled him into their arms, not ever wanting to let him go.
Harry's screams were heard throughout the clouds. The world stopped, Remus' tears rolled down his face as Harry finally broke free of his hold.
Sirius was dead, and now he watched.
The battle did not stop. The war continued, when it finally came to Hogwarts, a young boy named Fred found his way to them, his eyes bright and his eyebrows pulled in confusion.
They'd watched him too, much like themselves, he was gifted in mischeif, James smiled and welcomed him, granting him his thanks for giving Harry their map. Fred watched too now, watching his family, his brothers, but mostly everyone's eyes were on Harry.
Remus joined them, his eyes finding Sirius' immediatley. They embraced for a long time before he tearfully gathered Lily in his arms, and bowed into a hug with James.
They were dead, but Harry was still alive.
So they waited, and they watched.
Harry's footsteps into the forest rocked the earth like thunder.
He was going to present himself to Voldemort.
Remus held Lily back as she thrashed in his arms, screaming Harry's name. There wasn't anything any of them could do.
Harry stood bravely, resurrection stone in hand. James thought for a moment this was it, he would finally be able to see his son again.
But false ghosts appeared around him, urging him forward, telling him to achieve his goal.
Sirius looked away, cursing magic and all of its darkness.
Harry believed those ghosts were his family, convincing him to give himself up. Convincing him to die.
James knew he wouldn't understand, he knew it was a trap set by death to capture the second brother, but he wished Harry would know the truth. They want him to live.
But he didn't.
Harry Potter was dead.
They could not contain the sobs and screams and shouts that tore from them. So loud they were surprised they couldn't hear them from the earth. They did not want his life to end. No matter how much they missed him, they did not want him to give up.
James waited for him to appear, waited to embrace his son.
But he didn't come.
Confusion settled over the group as they watched his body, carried back to the castle in Havrid's arms.
"Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort shouted into the crowd.
Much like they had, screams and sobs erupted from the living. Mcgongall turned her face to the sky, unable to stop her tears. James wished he could hug her.
Alice and Frank's son gave a speech, one that surprised them all. Alice sobbed, clutching Frank's arms as he began to walk over to the other side of the war.
A sword was drawn, hell broke loose.
James was the first to notice Harry jump from the half-giant's arms.
A wand was thrown to him, the Malfoy boy's.
Instantly chaos erupted, the war continued.
Harry Potter was alive.
And when the war was over, when he'd defeated Voldemort and returned to his friends, James and Lily stood proudly above him.
Everyone who joined them watched now as they gathered their injured, piecing themselves together again after all that had broken.
Harry's eyes shifted up towards the sky, James wished he could tell him he was thinking of him too.
They continiued to watch. Harry grew older still, started a family, lived out his life as he'd always meant to. The life none of the Marauders got to live.
And they were proud. They were so incredibly proud of everything he'd accomplished.
Yes. They were dead. But their son was alive. And that was more than enough for them.
So after a long, happy life when Harry joined them, they embraced him without regret.
James and Lily Potter were dead. But they had never felt more alive.

AA culprit AU (TW for mentions of blood and violent murder)
okay so buckle up
Phoenix: when Dahlia tried to poison him, he became interested in chemicals and toxins. he switched his major to chemistry and he now sells concoctions and poisons to anyone who is willing to pay.
he is a little bit insane. he has built up an immunity to poisons after accidentally drinking them and narrowly surviving every time (and cuz he works with toxins so much). at this point, he just tastes his poisons like soup like 'hmmm needs more acetone'
his hands shake and hes gone just a little crazy from the damage the poisons have done to him
he pretty much always has some sort of chemical stain or burn somewhere on him or his clothing.
edit: I'm thinkin' he's Mia's medical apprentice (she runs a hospital in this au)
Miles: Miles is what began this idea because i think he would be ten times hotter if he was a muderer. anyways-
dl6 still happens and everything is the same up to when Miles is about 15 years old and he finds out about mvk killing Gregory. he is pissed asf and apalled at the injustice of the whole situation and how corrupted mvks methods are. he feels the urge to kill him grow stronger every day.
he eventually does snap and plunge his pocket knife into mvk multiple times and gets away with it. Franziska is pissed because he murdered her dad but eventually comes to terms with the fact that Miles' crime has made the world an overall better place.
with no legal guardian, Miles and Fran are put in an orphanage and vibe there until Miles is 18. Fran learns how to make knives and Miles learns how to use them. Fran lives with Miles until she is 18 and moves out.
Miles is like 'hey. im good with knives, i despise injustice, and i have begun to like the sight of blood. i should put that to good use' and he becomes somewhat of a serial killer/vigilante
he picks targets carefully. corrupt people in the legal system, corrupt politicians, any shitty person he can find. he murders them brutally and due to the dl6 incident, he cant hold a gun without trembling, so his go-to method of killing is knives. he loves knives and he has a huge collection of fancy blades and throwing knives. he always leaves his victims crucified on the nearest wall with knives through their wrists pinning them there and bathes the room in their blood. thats how the cops know he did it.
the news dubs him the 'Crimson King' and Phoenix sees that in a newspaper and wants to see this guy for himself because he definitely recognizes that blurred pic the police took in the paper.
basically hes noble but extremely brutal and god thats kinda hot
Fran: Franziska is a bladesmith/black market arms dealer. Miles frequently visits her shop and he gets discounts on her wares. havent thought about her story a lot. Her relationship with Miles is strained after Manfred's murder and gets a bit better over the years.
Maya: Maya is a nurse at a nearby urgent care clinic. Phoenix frequently comes in begging her to help him but not tell anyone because he accidentally drank a lethal poison but nobody can know because its illegal to possess. also havent thought too much about her story.
added ideas: Klav is a drug dealer and Godot/Diego is a mafia boss

I think the Stotches are probably the most fucked up family I've ever seen.
Tumblr media
The Stotches are a family in South Park, Colorado. They're the fifth main famly, behind Marshes, Broflovskis, Cartmans, and McCormicks.
Tumblr media
The story behind the Stotches is morbid. At first, they seem like gag characters who just ground their son. In reality, they run deep.
Tumblr media
How did the Stotches become like this? Well, according to Butterballs, Butters' grandma is a cruel bully. Keep in mind, this is the mother of either Linda or Stephen.
Tumblr media
This means that they likely delt with this crulety in their youth. Futhermore, in Fractured But Whole, Stephen has a nightmare about his mom's cruel treatment, which is similar to the abuse Stephen inflicts onto his own son.
Tumblr media
In the present, the Stotches seem to be a happy family. That is, until Stephen began a series of affairs with other men behind his family's back. This act of adultery causes Linda to snap, which puts the family into jeopardy.
Linda nearly took her own life, and drown her own son, because of Stephen's actions. But why did Stephen commit these acts? Stephen is clearly either bisexual or a closest homosexual, who appears to be unsatisfied with his marriage. The family seem to have recovered from this tragic event, but it is frequently implied that Stephen continues his infidelity.
In TFBW, Linda reads a magazine; "Dealing with your gay husband". A side quest in the game also involves New Kid breaking into Stephen's safe and finding a photo of him engaging in a sexual activity with a man. "DikinBaus Hot Dogs" heavily leans towards this, where he accuses Butters of attending gloryholes and using affair websites, but quickly leaves to what he says to provide for the family, but its heavily implied that Stephen is doing the things he accused Butters of.
Tumblr media
Stephen is worried that his son might turn out the same way as him. In "Cartman Sucks", Stephen sends Butters to a camp that "prays the gay away". When he saw Butters getting sexually assualted by Cartman unknowningly, Stephen is genuinely worried of Butters. He doesn't want him to repeat the same mistake.
Tumblr media
It's plausible that Stephen also has OCD. In "The Ungroundable", he goes into a fit when Butters misplaced everything in his pantry. He also becomes weary since the pandemic strikes. All this points to Stephen having a compulsive disorder.
Tumblr media
Linda seems to be insecure and weak-willed. She is usually quiet, sobs frequently, is prone to muderous tendecies, and gets envious of others. We know less about Linda than we do about Stephen, but her few major appearances imply an inferior complex. She thinks of her own gifts as lacking compared to Stephen's. Linda also has issues with her body, seen in "End of Obesity" and "Turd Burgulars".
Tumblr media
Linda is violent. In "Butters' Very Own Episode", she tries to kill her own son after finding out his husband commited adultery. She and the other moms also attacked the Queer Eyes guys for turning their husbands into "whiny little wusses" in "South Park is Gay". Linda and her mom friends also robbed a bank, beat up a truck driver, and chased the main characters over Ozempic drugs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suprisingly, the Stotches are complex. They all need help.

Hi Sweet🖤
could I get something Ghostface!Alex Keller x f!reader?
Along the lines of she knows what/who Alex is so she asks to have the experience of being chased by him randomly. You can make it nsfw if you do that.
Feel free to change this according to how you're inspired though, there's no rush either.
××
A CHASE
warnings: muder, gore?, sight nsfw, non cannon
ft: slasher!alex keller x f!reader (even tho i mostly used ‘you)
notes: HIHIHI yesyes ofcc 😭 also thank u sm for being my first request i forgot to put horror characters as who i also write for lmao my writing can b a little iffy at times so lmk if theres anything i needa improve on xx
Tumblr media
You were always a fan of alexs work, the way he drove that knife so smoothly into their skin, the way he would always hide from the police, the way he was so sneaky, all of it. You couldn’t help but be amazed.
You were in your tiny shared kitchen scrubbing the shit out of his killing knife, running your fingers across the sharp blade. You couldnt help but feel the heat arise to your cheeks, and your legs.
Alex would come out the bathroom, his hair wet, his normal blue eyes still chased with thrill from his last hunt, his toned muscle and skin mesmerising in this state. You couldnt help the words to come flying out your mouth
“Alex, darling?” you would ask with shaky moist hands “i-i your work, can you” fuck how do i say this “can you chase me tonight, knife and all” you would splutter out not thinking about what you were saying.
Alex would freeze right in his tracks looking at you like you were crazy but also, in awe?
“Dove, do you really want me to?” he would move closer to your, grabbing your waist with his worked out hands, his breath hot against your neck. You would quickly nod your head hoping he would get the message, luckily he did.
“alright sweetheart get ready, and we’ll meet at the park” he would whisper in your ear seductively grabbing his knife as tracing it on the kitchen counter before leaving.
(ONTO THE GOOD SHITTT)
You were hiding behind a tree trying to get best out of view, holy shit this was scary but fucking hell how much this turned you on. You could hear his footsteps coming closer and closer his heavy boots thumbing, you had to cover your mouth with your hands to shush your breathing
“bunny, bunny, bunny where are you?” he would sigh his knife tracing over some trees leaving a mark. In all your might you fought the urge to jump out and let him take you whole, but you didnt. Lost in thought he found you.
“awe how cute, hiding behind a tree, classic” he would move closer to you pointing his butchers knife high, ready to stab, ready to wound.
As it was norma instinct, the adrenaline would rush in causing you to jump out of ur position and run, sprint. The cold brisk air with your heavy panting was eutrophic. Having your loving, dangerous boyfriend chase after you like he did his victims. He was right behind your arse. One small wrong move and you were done. It was muddy and bumpy a easy way to fuck up, it was dark also so thats even worse. You would turn your head to see how far he was, he was life 3ft away. fuckfuckfuckfuck
Suddenly a large chopped down tree stump was in your way while u were distracted causing you to trip over and leaving a deep graze your knee, a trickle off blood running down your knee, you would turn around to find Alex right behind you. His knife right against your neck. The cold metal digging slightly into your skin, his spare hand cupping both your cheeks squeezing tightly. His tounge swiftly licking the blood from your neck.
“We all know what happens to bunnys when they get found”

Okay no I've got it. I've said all along Durge and Orin's places could so easily be swapped, that the only difference was that Durge got the chance to start over fresh away from their muder cult, and that I want to be able to spare Orin, damn it. But now I've figured out how to make it work.
Durge and Orin fight in single combat at the altar of Bhaal. (Orin gets a second phase of her fight where she's herself, because she deserves a more satisfying boss fight and also to not just have Bhaal wipe her mind when you try to talk to her about her abusive backstory, jesus fucking christ that was nasty.)
Durge disarms Orin, gets her too injured to fight back, is the clear winner of this fight... and throws their weapon away, because they're not going to kill for Bhaal again. They're not going to continue the cycle of violence they and orin have been stuck in since birth.
Bhaal, of course, kills them for rejecting their birthright. And kills Orin for good measure; she failed, she's not worthy of him, this whole generation is a fuck up and he's better off starting over again elsewhere with a new generation of murder babies who'll actually be competent at this.
And as in the game, Withers comes in, resurrects Durge, tells them Bhaal could only kill the part of them that he knew, but they've changed and grown so much since the nautiloid, and Withers brought back everything that Bhaal didn't know.
Durge asks him--begs him probably, but damnit if Larian's resolving their plot with a huge deus ex machina then so can I--to bring Orin back too.
Except Orin didn't have those last few months free of Bhaal's influence. Everything she's ever done is tied up in trying to please Bhaal. When Withers brings her back, at Durge's request somewhere outside the temple, she's waking up covered in blood, nerfed back down to level one, and with no memory of anything except her name.
And the chance to start over fresh away from the murder cult. Orin can make her own decisions from there. Maybe she'll become the person she was before, maybe she'll be worse than ever, and a new party of adventurers will have to take her down to stop a new killing spree in a few years time. But maybe she'll change, and grow, the way Durge did. Maybe she'll become someone better. Whatever she does, she deserves to have a chance.

I'm sorry for so many asks, I'm obsessed with your writing!!
Doubling down on us being that typical innocent virgin final girl, playing all the good girl stereotypes and contrasting with that nasty corrupted friend group. Ghoap forcing us to kill our friends!! Not really friends since they literally betrayed us and pushed as in the hands of killers when the group was running away, but still...
Ghost literally holds our hands with a knife so we won't attack him or Soap, but forces us to at least scratch our former friends instead. Soap literally licking our tears((( it's a twisted retribution to our horrible friend group and those killers are just itching at corrupting our innocence in every way(
And the best part is that we can't even run anymore because we did helped them in their muders! Blood is on our hands too, literally, and Soap is licking it. Ghost forcing us to be their little cottagecore murder wifey(
don't be sorry for sending asks!!!! if i dont respond to one, it's either because i don't have anything to add and i feel bad posting without adding more, or i do have something to add but not right when it's sent. i looooove reading all the asks though <3
i ALMOST added ghoap forcing you to kill someone in that second horror movie ask but i didn't. but it fits a horror au so PERFECTLY!!!! they've made you an accomplice!!! and they've been doing this for years, they know exactly how to pin every murder they've commit on you!!!! you really can't leave now :(
also you'd be sobbing so hard, the knife shaking in your hands as you're guided by ghost. you're kneeling over you friend, ghost right behind you with his hands locked around your wrists to control your movements. soap kneeling right next to you, hunched in close so he can watch your face as you kill for the first time. licking the tears away has me :((((
ghost forcing your hand down, but still whispering in your ear about how you look so pretty killin' your little friends, doesn't take that guilt from you.
maybe makes you help dig the graves. usually they just burn the bodies, but with you... watching you cry and dig and dig and dig, they love it. something about watching you work so hard at their command when you're so upset... the struggle really gets them going idk. johnny helps you out sometimes while simon stands over both of you, the light of his cigarette the only light he lets you have
