#how to read SoTFD

On the confusing part of SoTFD, I think it’s the multiple stories under it so I’m not sure what’s what. or what all that means. Or if it has a specific order to be read.

If this doesn’t make sense, I could *try* to elaborate. might not be very well though-

that makes enough sense, I can explain it!

so if you look at the master-post and the series on ao3, I tried my best to order it in the best way that makes sense.

"Sealed his Fate (Change the Prophecy)" is the first fic in the series. from there, you technically can read any of the other fics, but as I said, I tried to order them according to timeline

Sealed his fate covers pre-percy through to the end of the titan war.

Every scrap of you covers from sea of monsters to the end of the titan war from WARREN and WYMAN'S perspective.

A mask of his own disguise is my SONA'S story- covering from pre-percy to after the events of MCGA (this would be the second LONGEST fic)

Always an Angel is the events of the titan war told from ETHAN'S perspective.

Rose Tattoo is where we start Heroes era. this story is from my oc CANOBIE'S perspective. it follows him getting to camp post TLH and ends after BoO.

Giants fall, which is unreleased takes us through Son of Neptune through Blood of Olympus PLUS it covers the gap between trials, and trials itself.

you're on your own kid is the MORTAL PARENT'S stories before and when they meet the gods they have children with. that currently has 2 chapters out, and has about 20 ish chapters planned.

another unreleased fic, "Morph (They're just a ghost)" is about an oc named JASPER JAY CHASE, a child of a norse god. it covers the three MCGA books.

you can pick and choose what perspectives to read but to fully understand the whole story, you HAVE TO start with Sealed His Fate. that's why it has the most chapters and why it's my main focus.

EDIT: I do wanna say no perspective is the same.

Some OCs end up on the andromeda, some stay at camp and unfortunately a good handful die off; and that’s why this is a multi fic series. I wanted to really solidify how pjo was completely complex from the start.

From Ethan to Marcus to Grayson the story is not the same.

Adachi is sitting in his hospital bed at the med bay, visibly struggling with his smartphone. It takes him much too long to type anything with it, and he keeps bringing the thing closer to his face and furrowing his brows like he’s trying to read whatever’s on the screen. Sometimes he tries to use the touchscreen before just giving up. He was in the middle of trying to send a message - the only thing he really knew how to do with the phone at all - but he messed up somewhere and he makes a noise of frustration.

He was from 2012. Smartphones annoyed him.

Meanwhile, Yu in his black swimming trunks, is located under the shade of an umbrella, reading a book about how to be more confident in his flirting. He'll swim later unless someone drags him in.

Alright, I know that lately Vivi's muse has been actively wanting to interact more with the SotFD Verse I threw her in. I really don't want to be slacking off or putting off the other threads I currently have, but she's fighting me so much with everything else. It's slowly getting better, but at the same time I know I feel just a tad bit bad prioritizing the SotFD stuff over everything else.

My dude though, I have to say that's so INCREDIBLY SWEET of you to send in some kind and encouraging words! Thank you, so much for that, and I'm glad you've been enjoying this blueberry's antics as she figures out what the hell is going on. Like, AAAAAAHHHH how else can I word vomit such positive things at you!? You're just so freaking nice, and kind, and YOU'RE A LOVELY MUN TOO!!

Okay....maybe that's all I got right now! BUT! I do hope any other peeps out there who are watching the shenanigans go on, or combing through the SotFD Verse tag on my blog, are enjoying the content. It's been such a blast so far and there's SO MUCH that's still going to happen!))

Any tips on writing a story? Because I’m relatively bad at it and my first(and only, so far)chapter of my PJO story is depressing(my friend says, which probably isn’t wrong) and it’s short. Also the character is 5 and i am unsure of how to portray a 5 year old kid, who’s usually silent and stuff… idk.

honestly, I always say throw the ideas at the wall and see what sticks. if you have a sibling whos that young in your life, observe them, see how they act. I get tik toks on my fyp of compilations of silly toddler things- you could use those to help you learn how to properly portray your character.

Depressing means it can get happier, in my eyes. I don't know if you've read SoTFD yet, but it is very depressing at parts. just do what you feel fits for the story and edit as you go!

UPDATE

i hate SoTFD.

WAIT, LET ME EXPLAIN.

recently I've felt extremely burnt out in terms of writing for my fanfic series, Stories of The Forgotten Demigods. The stories all felt rushed, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized it had become a tangled ball of yarn I needed to fix.

So, that being said, I am refreshing the series. I've taken down fics that are currently unnecessary to the story line, and I've retitled them all. (Check my Pinned post to see the new titles.)

Right now, the contents inside the fics are inherently the exact same. and personally, THAT is where the biggest issue lies; where the most tangles live.

I am going through and reorganizing chapters and rewriting them to make sense in the new order, I am also changing major canon things such as Micha the Saytr's death in My sona's Story, or Grayson's journey though the foster system.

I am keeping the basics though; like how Grayson and Damien met similarly to how Luke and Thalia met Annabeth, AJ's confusion at everything mythical despite being a major mythology nerd, and the O'Connoly twin's dad's death. those are important fundamentals to this series, and until I have actual REASON to retcon these things, I', going to keep them.

another thing I've noticed is other fanfictions I've seen on here, or on tik tok- the authors for it are AMAZING ARTISTS. They've gotten traction because of their wonderful art style and their ideas they've translated into art.

I don't have that. I don't know how to draw (although I am trying to learn; I promise.)

I'll update again when I've made substantial progress in writing.
