As women, we are naturally synced with the cycles of the umiverse. Time of the full moon is for us to reap the fruits of the seeds we sowed during the dark moon. My friend @bhavikaxaggarwal sent me a link today to a study that established that the average menstrual cycle is not 28 days but 29.5 days which is also the time that the moon takes to go around the earth. Today is world #endangeredspeciesday . As human access to the planet and it's resources continue to grow, natural systems continue to suffer. The guardian reported that 96% of all mammals on the planet are human beings and animals reared to be fed to human beings. 70% of all the birds on the planet are chicken and poultry. . . This is the planet we have designed and created for ourselves. I often wonder what the Buddha would feel/ do if he were to see these times. Would he be scared? Would he be hopeful? Or would he accept reality as is? I am unable to accept reality. I suppose that is why I have often been called a 'dreamer', or told to be 'realistic' and accept the system. . I am quite disturbed by reality-- by complacency and inaction on the part of human beings. As we continue to look for life on other planets and spend billions of dollars, life continues to shrink on ours. Wilderness is disappearing. @unenvironment estimates there are 200 species going extinct in the wild every day. I hope this tomorrow (pralay/doomsday) never comes. . . That’s awesome to hear. It’s really fulfilling when things work out. Especially after a slump.

Yeah, I've been in a slump most of this year. It's been really nice the past few weeks for the most part though. It's interesting though, I'm not very much of a guitarist, and this is my drummer's first time ever playing drums, but things keep getting tighter as we progress. It's cool.

Memories of Galle face, doing #StreetsForUs with @lakkshya. I was previledged to attend the Dalai Lama's talk yesterday on reviving ancient Indian wisdom, and the first think he spoke about was the fact that we are all one; unity, secularism and having the same physical, emotional and mental experience as a human being. Do we forget this? Playing on the streets has been the most humbling and beautiful experience, and has reminded me that we are all brothers. You and I and our neighbours and the children on the streets and the people in war laden countries and the ones in the previledged countries. Sometimes I think its just people doing as their therapist prescribes (having an outlet) and sometimes I think it’s more expressing that negative feeling from spending so much time on the web seeing other peoples’ lives and feeling like you’re not living

i think both of those are both very accurate assumptions. i don't know maybe in a way i'm kind jealous of those people because they can communicate themselves and i can't
