Malaria Consortium is currently recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in London.
The IT Systems Administrator will support and administer the global and local office IT systems and applications. You will support the installation, maintenance and administration of the organisation’s computer systems, including the planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. This includes supporting local IT systems in the London office, IT focal points across the organisation and liaising with suppliers supporting local IT systems in other offices globally.
The successful candidate will have;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology, computer engineering or related field.
Good knowledge and experience in a customer-facing IT support role, providing first and second line support via a support desk,
Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows desktop/laptop administration and trouble-shooting.
Good knowledge and experience of networking technologies and systems – Internet, LAN switches and wireless access points.
Knowledge and experience of administration of Microsoft Windows Server, and administration of some or all of other Microsoft server technologies: user/Active Directory, email/Exchange and web/IIS servers.
Experience of working with multiple applications.
Good customer skills and experience.
Good organisational, analytical, oral and written communications skills in English; demonstrated supervisory skills, and ability to work well in teams.
Evidence of strong attention to detail.
Evidence of problem solving ability.
Strong grasp of computer security.
Due to the urgent nature of this role interviews will be held on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.
