Yes, I've already played Raincode!! Really enjoyed it, especially for the DR-like vibe and I actually made charms of the main cast:

Do you know where you want tmwn to end? Like will it end around the same time the movie ended (in the bridge) or will there be a few more chapters with an aftermath of the movie that later leads to it closing off?

My current plan is for TMWN to 'end' after defeating the Shredder. The fic already stupid long, lmao, if I took us all the way through the movie and beyond it would end up being a ridiculous length. (Did you know it's already longer than Dune? I am deranged. It's my favorite fun fact to tell people outside of the fandom space. Their reactions are incredible.)

I do have this very vague thought of perhaps one day writing a 'sequel' fic that goes through the events of the movie, but I really want to finish the original fic, first, and I'm also not 1000% sold on the idea yet! My relationship with Apocalypse Timelines and such is a little complicated so I'm not sure right now. ^^;

OK SO me doodling designs bc I couldn't decide on if I wanted the leads to be girls or boys so I designed both and then it has been decided: the girls win lead roles. However, I like the boys enough that they're just gonna be the older brothers but not as important.

Gray haired girl (Light for now) has light powers! and navy haired (Dark for now) has dark powers. They come from commoner families and grew up in the same village where magic is already rare (since commoners) and out of the five adults that do have magic, none are light/dark aligned. So the girls keep their powers to themselves it's their little secret! But it gets found out so they go to Magic School on scholarship basically due to the rarity of their elements.

Dark however decides that she wants to test something and Light has never been able to say no to her so she goes along with it. Dark's test? "Light, I want you to bully me in front of others to see if there is really a belief that dark magic is bad."

So the light user is the bully and hates every second of it because other students DO back her up and she's so stressed because Dark is her best friend forever how DARE these nobles act so above her! :C :C :C

But then they meet up in private and just hang out like in the village. Just exchanging school gossip instead of village gossip. The theory still needs to be tested to see how long it takes for people to possibly get over their bias but Light can't do it when she hears people bullying Dark without her around and ends up lecturing them for being so narrow minded (despite starting the drama).

A friend of mine kickstarted a short film project and it's really cool but why am i the only one in the storyboard group who seems to have a grasp on actually writing. like, not just writing the words but the technical stuff around that. fellas 80s/90s musical is still not a genre exactly. a crossover is complicated as fuck especially regarding pacing. we have three protagonists currently who are introduced on their own but we can't just go out and write them! we need to coordinate how long those parts are so it's even! with pacing there's gonna be several scenes per introduction so we can piece them together and not have three blocks that is confusing and weird! pacing! coordination! length! and for the love of god we can't have a single perspn write the main crossover plot if they don't even know the characters

I lied I have one thing to say before I go to sleep and that is that honestly the way the finale was resolved is pretty much what I would expect for Dimension 20. Not bad, even emotionally impactful in a way, but quick, shallow, mostly played for laughs. This is going to be maybe a very unpopular opinion but I have never thought of D20 as something that's like... that nuanced or thematically interesting. It's a comedy show! And the themes play second fiddle to the comedy, always. Every season. But idk. Something about the start of this season made me feel like it could be different. Maybe it's because sophomore year was genuinely emotionally impactful and had some really beautiful character development, so I was hoping junior year would continue that trend? But instead we got something that was much more reminiscent of freshman year. Which is like, fine, but it isn't what I wanted and now I'm disappointed. In the immortal words of Kipperlilly Copperkettle, may she rest in peace: egg on my face, I guess, for wanting something
