should i change my headcanons based upon “i saw it in a dream”
#as far as witcher dreams go this one was extremely mid as i actually woke up from it by going ‘but that doesn’t make any sense’#and i should have done that several times earlier#triss dragging geralt onto this cursed ass cruise ship by feigning illness and then lightly crying about it was the most in character thing#the thing is that in the dream the events of it were being presented ‘to me’ as ‘canon’#as in this was a new book or something a la crossroads so this is part of the lore now#so the thing was that geralt had another company in his 20s but they all died/were cursed/some insanity#one of them (and i only remember this bc it was terrifying for some reason) was turned into a tomcat and they couldnt figure out#how to change him back so they left him with other people and came back like 10 years later#it was like he forgot human life and was also a really old cat so they just allowed him to die as a cat#the other ones were not that interesting i think one was a postmaster who did fisstech and the other was a young mentally deficient girl#who had some powers/was a Source but she got betrayed when triss (yes triss was here) basically abducted geralt#and she took him on a cruise ship and then the game vampires (yeah so this is when i was like ‘what’) showed up#i guess they lived on or were haunting this cruise ship#actually was pretty cool because i got ‘POV lady orianna drinks your blood’ i’m OK with that#however regis and dettlaff showed up and immediately started acting like a monty python sketch or something#they kinda entered swaggeringly to start drinking people and#regis was like ‘ok you go around that side of the room and i’ll go around this side and we’ll take a survey’#and dettlaff was like ‘why drink from all of them to judge the taste just take a few … ‘samples’’#and regis went ‘ohhhhhhhh’ and they had this loud conversation in front of a room of terrified humans#and the dream ended with me basically pausing it and arguing to some other people that this can’t happen because so and so#and i started trying to pull examples/quotes about it#this is the most embarassing and unhinged dream i have had about the witcher i’m going to go hide in a hole now#usually my dreams are some semblance of canon or at least what i like and prefer#dude. regis showed up at the end but his game design. and his outfits were ugly 😭😭😭#the elbow-high diaries#oh but the ONE thing that was kind of cool was seeing how vampires are created#they fall from the sky in stormy weather and are invisible to the human eye and then if they come across another they scream them to death#or not death but dissipation and then they absorb the defeated one’s?? traits or whatever#i kind of like my current idea better but maybe this for like a subset of them or something

so many thoughts are stirring in my head right now
#and all i can think about is work and how i'll be alone to handle everything again hoping nothing is fucked#oh hansry save me. hansry save me#i finally got around to sketching hans' wedding outfit. riding that high still from the redesign i did for his armor#and i have been thinking so much about the color i'm going for. white wasn't really used for wedding dresses back in the medieval era#it's a victorian era thing. speaking for nobles here. would've been fine for a commoner (see agnes from semine)#but nobles use richer fabric. blues and reds and golden#and i am... thinking so much about a black velvet and golden combination. to recall leipa's colors#since it's a political marriage i don't think it would be that far fetcehed? where gold would prevail obviously#but also golden and blue combination has been buzzing around my head. god. possibilities...#so many ideas so little time and mental strength and good mood lately to execute them#but i started at least. so there's that#oh also. he will most likely wear a hat. a chaperon most likely#noblemen didn't wear floreal crowns for their weddings. not from what i've researched for hours#and i just feel it in my bones hans would absolutely despise the hat. after all we don't see him ever wearing one#not even at the wedding in semine. and he's a pretty distinguished face and voice so the hat wouldn't take away from his image. and yet#because i just know it in me he can't stand hats. and he will think he looks ridiculous in one#i have so many thoughts about henry supporting him through the process and chuckling about the hat#listen i'm ill and i need to cope and i need to cope NOW#because i have so much shit to say and so many irritating opinions and nowhere to talk of all this without being the most obnoxious guy#so. yelling into my blog it is. this is my home after all

“I’m sorry,” she whispers, and even that hurts. She tries to remember why, and can only picture the desert sun glinting so loud in every direction, the buzzing in her ears, the sickening heat blazing up her spine and under her arms. Shock, and anger, and then the whiskey. That had all been yesterday morning– nearly an eternity ago.
He pulls back, holding her upright. His expression makes her close her eyes, bracing for the anger, the fighting, the struggle she no longer has the energy to keep up. She’s blissfully hollow. She can live forever in this space between.
“Valentine,” Johnny says, frustrated but quiet. “Jesus, what’d you take?”
Johnny is an open book. Johnny makes more sense than her hands, which are cottony and clumsy and different colors. He’s angry. He’s afraid, in the way that Johnny can be afraid when they’re alone. He’s hungry for the same sugar crystal humming wire she is, wants the same sharp teeth and burning skin. He sees the same spreading horizon, bright blue sky, bright flat dirt– the line which can be seen but never reached. All those days crawling in the sun. Why?
“Christ, you’re pathetic,” he says, frustrated. “You act like being pulled from that viper pit is the worst thing to ever happen to you. Don’t you remember what they did to you?”
She remembers. The antiseptic white room, where she slept. The jungle, where they brought her to feel light and vibrations, nurtured by a buzzsaw bliss they gave to her with her water. Goro, who visited with food and conversation and an outstretched hand. A tether to the real world. Where had Johnny been, after he’d left her behind? What does Johnny remember?

wanted to work on my sketch today but i felt sooooo bad today. for a number of reasons, im sick (nothing contagious) and also i have worked TOO MANY DAMN DAYS IN A ROW !!! i work tomorrow too someone save me
i'd like to actually "finish" this drawing, idk if that means lineart or just cleaning it up a bit, so i dont wanna share it yet even tho it's nothing too special. i'll share this instead
