All im saying is i can't be trusted to concoct a dan and phil interview. If it was me I'd act like I didn't know them at all and I'd ask them shit like "So have you thought about expanding the dan and phil brand to add other live-in coworkers to the channel? :)" I'd "accidentally" print their names as Dan and Phil Lester. I'd put the 2009 tackle hug as one of the pictures in the article. If I snap a pic of them for the interview I'd put text over their left hands. I'd name the article Dan and Phil are More Than Friends with the subheading "they're partners in a brand 15 years in the making with sold-out shows around the globe"

Oh I’ve actually been working on that!!!!

Okay so basically like half a year ago I realized I didn’t like my art style and decided to do some Homestuck art studies as a means of getting better at like anatomy and stuff, and that’s where the Tavros on the left appeared from.

After I’d gotten the hang of it I started to reintegrate some of my old stylistic choices, as seen by the Tavros on the right. But honestly I felt meh about both of them cause neither of them line up with my previous portrayals/personal view of the character.

(Old art, circa about a year or so ago^ Shows I used to draw Tavros with less of a lanky body and more fat.)

So I finally decided to buckle down and get the character right and this was the result!

Now I’ll be the first to admit that it’s probably not perfect, but I’ve finally gotten to a point where I like how I draw Tavros again!!!!

The og Homestuck style has like, a lot of variation, and hero mode is honestly wayyyy more vast of a “style” than people give it credit for. Personally, I like to refer to each Homestuck style more by act/place it appears in comic rather than just blanked “hero mode” or “sprite mode,” because I like to integrate THOSE specific influences into my art.

With Tavros specifically I’d like to say the rounder shapes call back to the mixed sprite/hero mode that we see in Tavros’ introduction, as opposed to perhaps Sollux’s introduction panels, where his limbs are rigid and angular, and definitely more “hero mode,” which causes one to view the character as lankier/skinnier.

Either way, I’m still working hard at getting good at striking poses and not falling into “same body type syndrome,” as is often far too easy to fall into. In the past I found it difficult to draw skinny/lanky characters because I wasn’t super used to it, and as of recently I’ve been doing them wayyyy more but I still have an easier time drawing thicker/fatter limbs and stuff. If you’ve got any criticisms or the like, I’m happy to hear them!!!! Always looking to get better eventually :p

Beginning to hate TimKon simply because of how some of the fans treat every other Tim (or Kon, but mostly Tim) ship.

(Mostly Bernard since he’s canon atm but I’ve seen a lot of people shit on Steph as well.)

The only thing you achieve by publicly saying that you hate Bernard is that DC will just, remove Tim’s bisexuality. If you hate on one of the few canon mlm relationships, they will just get rid of the representation entirely.

Cause, let’s be for real, TimKon is never gonna be canon. They will never make two important characters be gay together. It’s the same reason why Jon is dating that random pink guy. (Who is fucking epic I realise now. Like he is cool actually)

Also, they already have one gay SuperBoy, (and if people keep shitting on his boyfriend the number will quickly become ZERO) They will never make Kon being lgbtq official.

people who undermine the importance of izuku and katsuki's relationship throughout bnha because of "annoying shippers" or because they just don't like katsuki are insane because their relationship is literally so? important??? to the entire story???? katsuki is the deuteragonist of bnha. he was one of the first characters to show up. he was the first other person to know about OFA. so much of the manga is spent showing his development. if you deny his character development and relationship development ("relationship" does not always mean romantic relationship) with izuku, you are quite literally denying a massive part of the series. the manga starts with them and ends with them. you're allowed to dislike him but if you dislike him so much that you, in turn, start hating how izuku is a "punching bag" or a "doormat" for the entire series because he doesn't stay angry and vengeful at people even though a massive part of his character is that he's compassionate and kind even to people who aren't to him or used to not be, and you seriously think that that makes him weak, and you just start to dislike the main two characters of the series, i think you should. idk. stop reading, probably. read the revenge fantasy shit that you obviously want to read. there are like seven million manhwa available to you where the character gets the revenge you so desperately want to see.

Pentiment can get you going down some silly little rabbit-holes sometimes. The way this came up was that I reached a passage in The Name of the Rose where a character starts rattling off the names of demons to curse somebody, and I thought "huh, I wonder if those are the demons on the summoning circle in Pentiment as a very quiet reference", and then they weren't, and obviously then I had to find out where they got those names. Especially my personal favorite, Tryboy
