Think: Post-river Silco, broken and full of hatred for his ex, coming across this lonely cave-dwelling weirdo scientist. Silco having no one to rant to about his horrible ex and Singed having no other source of socialization other than his new patient. They’ve become each other’s rant persons.

Vander didn’t know they never actually got romantic, they were just good friends (queerplatonic if you will), but the two picked up on the very obvious jealousy and decided to fuck with him for entertainment.
