I love Tim and I always feel they did him bad when they portrayed him as seeing someone getting neglected and simply doing nothing.

You get it!! Tim was way too self-aware to ever neglect (Name) without thinking it through. It sounds weird. But hear me out.

Tim knows the damage of the viligante business, and he knows the damage of neglect. But he had a hard time acknowledging his trauma around that, he still doesn't believe he has been abused from time to time. So he brought the two on a scale, and he decided that neglecting you was the best way to protect you.

He thought that's why Bruce ignored you, that he wanted one child that was free from the shakles of their morals and life style. But after Jason's crime he realises, that was never what happened. You're neglected in the same way he was. But he doesn't know how to bring this to Bruce's attention as he fears his love will disappear (which isn't a justifable reason but trauma makes us do crazy shit). So Tim feels like all he can is support you from the sidelines, he just wishes he could make you feel better.

And as I said before, Tim would never ignore your physical pain, but Cassandra would (before she becomes a yandere and before she understands what's going on with you). Tim isn't mentally well, he has never been after his parents neglect. So he cannot help but admire how strong you stand, but he also cannot help the guilt in his stomach as he realises in what pain you are. Not just physically, but emotionally as well.

(Tim was also the one that suggested replicating your room and tried to fix your heirlooms, but since most were centuries old jewerly ect. he didn't want to really do anything without your premission so he just fixed the necklace your mom gave you when you turned 4 and extended the chain so that you could still wear it)

I've been researching and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to replicate the animation for the show. I know the fps and stuff but for some reason it isn't registering in my mind when I draw. I'm probably being dumb but how do you do it? (Also I apologize for consistently asking u stuff you are just a big inspiration😅)

So one of the things I like about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which I think is somewhat underappreciated in the audience because it clashes hard with the utopic vision of the future, is that the Federation is in many ways still systemically and culturally ableist.

I think this is explored best in S02E06's "Melora," obviously.

This episode starts off with Dax being shocked that the replicator contained a schematic for a wheelchair, because no one has needed one in three hundred years. Bashir answers that no no no lol, Federation replicators in fact cannot make wheelchairs based on their built-in libraries, and that the wheelchair is a schematic that their incoming wheelchair user coworker sent over to have replicated for her on arrival.

The rest of the episode explores how this utopic vision of the future that the difficult-to-accommodate disabled are not a part of has absolutely de-normalized the cultural concepts and accommodations surrounding some disabilities, thus creating complex and seemingly anachronistic institutionalist-era realities in the space future.

This is, to me, deeply interesting because it highlights a very real conversation around pursuing cures against pursuing accommodation.

It's basically acknowledging the threat of the Gattica style shit currently engaged in by dudes like Elon Musk and these freaks

Everybody starts off with a happy healthy life as defined not through accommodation and infinite diversity in infinite combinations, but through the elimination of variation that would necessitate different cultural practices, different architecture, different understandings of life worthy of life, blah blah blah.

It's not "in the brilliant shining future nobody has to be disabled," it's "in the brilliant shining future the disabled aren't allowed to exist, and we don't have to think about them" lol.

But! Geordi LaForge!

Well, Geordi is born blind in a context where blindness can be perfectly accommodated, debatably even cured, via his wundervisor and / or surgically implanted eyes. In fact, in the movies, which do not exist sorry, Geordi gets them eyes stuck in and in so doing even loses the cultural signifier of his blindness, as well as situational considerations of blindness.

Further, Geordi is in this unfortunate weird space a lot of disabled characters in science fiction are, where his prosthesis is considered cool enough that it passes some kind of ableist vibe check wherein the character is no longer necessarily received as "disabled" by the audience. It's a cool cyberpunk thing, and thus loses its audience association with disability in many ways, ala Adam Jensen's sword arms or the unexplored nature of voluntarily cutting off one's limbs to replace them with robot parts in Cyberpunk 2077.

Geordi "can do things," he just "has to do things a little differently." The "a little differently" here is defined as "wearing a thing on his face" and not a different process or method. We never see how Geordi lays out his quarters or prepares his uniform, tools, whatever in a way that makes it all more accessible for him; he readily assume the first thing he does in the morning is plug his visor in. Glasses.

It's a fun cosplay idea in a way a wheelchair isn't.

The thing is, when Geordi is without his visor, he's fucked.

I don't just mean the episode where he's trapped in a island with a Cardassian or whatever, I mean on the fucking Enterprise. Say they're in a crisis, he falls over, wangs his noggin on a console and breaks his visor. Look at the open layouts with no handrails leading anywhere, no braille or layout signage posted, nothin'.

How the fuck is he going to find his way to the turbolift?

These are not accessible environments for a blind bloke. These are accessible environments for a sighted bloke wearing glasses.

The thing to consider as well is, we know Geordi's blindness is absolute. Blindness in real life is pretty diverse, actually, and many blind people do have some vision. Not Geordi. So, all the lights that communicate where to go in a crisis mean fuck all to him.

And, considering how often the Enterprise is in crisis, crew members are cut off from each other or the ship, the practical realities Geordi has to deal with on away missions that are simply never accommodated - it becomes apparent that Geordi is considered effectively the same as any sighted crew member.

His disability accommodation is individual and his responsibility. Nothing is provided by Starfleet except, perhaps, new visors and free visits to Beverly.

The same criticism exists for my man Hemmer,

who is played by blind actor Bruce Horak, yes, but who exists in a similar state to Geordi. I doubt they considered Mr. Horak a consultant on blindness and how a blind crew member would work in their series, because again, his blindness is accommodated for by magical future thing that doesn't fucking exist. In this case, psychic senses or something (idk I've never watched nuTrek sober).

If you look at the environments he's in, or the situations he deals with on away missions, sans those Daredevilian supersenses he'd be shit out of luck.

They're so adverse to giving blind characters so much as a cane.

I'm not saying the inclusion of blind characters is bad or that we should not engage in these fantasies of disabled characters being able to live and work equally to able-bodied characters without the need for accommodation, necessarily. I'm certainly not saying every blind character should have a sighted support following them around or a dog or whatever. My criticism is not of the blind characters' individual accommodations not being up to my arbitrary standard as a sighted viewer lol.

What I am instead attempting to hightlight here is that the shows seem adverse to engaging in disabled / accommodative environmental design or in the more complex, social realities of disability, and that's something that the episode "Melora," the wheelchair user episode this post is about lol, addresses in depth.

Julian is a future space doctor who doesn't know how to comfortably talk to someone in a chair. That only happens in a universe where doctors don't encounter wheelchairs in their professional lives. That's a reality brought about specifically by the comfortable eugenicist realities of the future, where although due to a war the Federation draws the line at "enhanced" individuals, it obviously voluntarily engages in liberal eugenics to the effect of eliminating disabled life in many meaningful forms. Its society, where doctors seem to need an aide like this to do their jobs properly:

And idk! I think that's neat. I think that's a powerful flaw in the utopic vision of the future that Roddenberry and the others probably didn't intend originally, and that DS9, commendably, attempts to explore.

Especially because Julian was a lil autistic boy who was forcibly cured through similar treatment, and correctly identifies that this means the him who existed before was drastically altered for his parents' fear of actually accommodating him.

Um i have many thoughts about this... rant below.....

Was trying to draw genderbent Tris for funsies and never in my life had i been so humbled 💀

Brother got me so stressed out i had to get up to pace around the room while asking myself if i was even deserving enough to be called an artist

I am being dramatic, i apologize.

I think i was trying hard to make her male version look more masculine but at the same time i also really wanted him to have that girly soft features because well Tris is kinda squishy regardless of the gender.

The problem is i think it is either my art style is too feminine and i genuinely cannot draw men (woe is me) or Tris is already somewhat androgynous enough to be both masculine and feminine at the same time so if i overdo one or the other it just won't look like her???

So i ended up with a genderbent version that was identical to the regular Tris... it's almost like nothing changed, except maybe she got taller LOL (artistically an impressive feat tbh...knowing how i can't even replicate my own style sometimes)

And you know what, it IS a little silly, so i'm gonna make that canon ... she is just a creature .... male or female.......

clarity glimmer under the spotlight, they dazzle from the fluorescence of their curated stages, capturing the crowd with a particular intensity and coordination that seems effortless and yet unable to be replicated . anyone who takes at most a few minutes to watch these girls grace the stage, they would be unable to deny how in tune the four of them are with each other — their eyes shine with anticipation and affection when they meet the gaze of another member, uncontrollable smiles blooming on their lips with little restraint, hands reaching out , ready for an impromptu high five, a subtle pinky link or even the fan favourite handshake that they created — there is this undeniable connection they share, their chemistry spirals around them, a cloak of comfort , a crown of confidence , radiating from their mere presence when they stand together, as one.

mariah and i didn’t get along at the start . we were only 12 (me) and 14 (her) but we were immediately pitted against each other, constantly asked to compete, always assigned to opposing teams, evaluated on the same day every. time. ..it wasn’t a very healthy environment to be fostering a friendship (especially given how we’re both vocalists and always felt like we were being compared) so we decided to remain civil but separate. that is, until our teachers realised we could be paired up together. tumultuous feelings were pushed aside and we became a powerhouse of vocals, a two woman melody, a human orchestra . competition turned to companionship and we quickly began to rely on each other — she’s my realist who holds a mirror to my faults and bandages the wound after i realise it’s there — she gave me the greatest person to fall back on when i’m not at my best , herself

aining is like that one person who you cannot and will not remember living life without, she feels fated. we were strangers together, at the same audition . she was taking it seriously, i was there for fun. a few weeks later i recognise her across the hallway at the same high school, the same girl, she’s always been right there . in that fashion we repeatedly floundered through a flurry of months where we noticed each other at school before being seperate again, only to finally reunite at the same company, under the same training program, assigned to the same dorm.. maybe it’s because we’re from the same country, state, city, town . maybe it’s because we build each other up where the other falls short , but for reasons i can’t exactly put into words, aining became my best friend. she feels familiar in every essence of its meaning, and i’m forever thanking the stars that we debuted in the same group

vicki feels like a lightning strike, she was the eruption of colours encircling me when my life fell into grey — i was fading from the constant monotony of evaluations, practice, training, and was slowly sinking from the realisation that i wasn’t absolutely perfect at my skills . i still had a ways to go before i could debut . not a fun feeling to acknowledge..i had this chill creep inside me , this fear of leaving it all behind, and then came vicki, scampering past like a little fox on its daily adventure, a glint in her smile and an idea already forming in her mind . she brought me back from that abyss, dragging me past anxiety avenue and depression district. you see, vicki has this ability to reach inside and pull out your innermost stress and then dissolve it before your very eyes, she pushes past your pressure and fatigue and asks you to watch as they ripple away. she motivated me to write , to produce , to create . she held me together when i could not hold myself, she saved me from a future where i would not have been me, and she did it all with a smirk and a cheek poke

My thought on the Rise of Ning, Pt 3

I finished 24 episodes of The Rise of Ning, and I wanna add in my two cents about the storyline so far, which, considering that I wake up everyday at 6 am to catch up on, is pretty damn good XD:

I was very pleased they adapted a scene of Lu Jiaxue observing Yining’s calligraphy and noticing that it bears a heavy similarity to Luo Shenyuan’s. This is an often emphasized point in the novel, given how prized a skill calligraphy was for scholars/officials back then, the fact that Yining can replicate his style is indicative of how very close they are. Now whether that’s a sibling thing or not, is anyone’s guess ;) hehehe

At this point, many of the drama plot lines are very different from those in the novel. But the one thing that the drama preserves in full glory, despite all the plotline modifications, is the sheer depth of Luo Shenyuan’s yearning for Luo Yining! And it’s just so!!! The way she is his most important consideration, the detail with which he prepares everything for her in the event of his death, and the extreme passion he is clearly repressing every moment sitting next to her… I’m so very satisfied, I’m giving five stars just for this alone.

Another thing this drama does excellently is to more subtly portray Yining’s extreme levels of attachment to him: the way in all her visuals of the future, he is eternally just accompanying her, reading to her, living with her (girl has truly never accounted for a possible future husband and sister-in-law in all these dreams lolol), her headlong jump into the river to avoid implicating him, even though she has to have heavy trauma of falling off high places… Also her keenness in noticing all the girls who are trying to marry him, while he couldn’t care less. (Also I daresay her determination to matchmake for him is also her oblivious way of staking a claim on her San-ge)

Also, shame they made Lu Jiaxue and Zhao Mingzhu adoptive sibling, putting them on the same generational level. This is because there is a point in the novel where our hot pining Marquis Lu becomes Yining’s godfather without having a clear idea of who she is, and the way he manipulates that seniority is truly a delicious read.

Notably the drama ALSO preserves the forceful and unpleasant aspects of his obsession with regaining Yining; in the novel, he truly cannot conceive that she has a whole life and family she will protect above him. Also in the novel, Yining is reborn in the Luo family after twenty years as a wandering spirit, so by that time, she mostly moves on from her romantic attachments to him, though she does blame him for her death. The blaming for death section is there in the drama, but here I feel that Yining's primary feeling towards him is raw fear, which also biases me firmly against Lu Jiaxue rn.

 Now I’ll begin my usual rambling commentary on plot changes lol. They’ve quite significantly changed Daoyan’s character here, enough that he’s basically a whole new person. While this makes sense with the drama plotline of reopening the Chen Jiuheng case, that’s not a plotline found in the novel. Novel! Daoyan is an eccentric monk who is also a military genius. My first read of him in the novel was that he was very ruthless, but tbh it’s more of that he is unaffected by emotions and is exceedingly practical, and in this he contrasts both Lu Jiaxue and Luo Shenyuan, who have an obsession with Luo Yining in common. So that’s a dynamic we are probably not going to see, oh well.

With regards to the side plot of Luo Yixiu and Lin Mao… I somehow don’t really care for it? Sure, with regards to my personal life, I believe in marrying a person you sincerely like, but in a feudal context like in this drama… it honestly feels a bit out of place. The princess’ son is genuinely a pretty good choice for her, given that he cares for her, has an odd personality that is not likely to take concubines later and has a pretty reasonable mother! Also I just instinctively dislike Lin Mao for always lecturing her about her weight and giving her weird weight loss medicine! Even if she says she likes Lin Mao, it comes off more as a childish infatuation than anything else.

Now that I’ve gotten started on this, novel! Lin Mao is actually shown to have a crush on Luo Yining, which no one except Shenyuan ever takes seriously. He does propose marriage, only to be turned down pretty firmly, and he goes off to a border region. Throughout the novel, he is portrayed as a playful individual who keeps wriggling in and out of sticky situations. He eventually does make his name by securing disaster relief for the border but throughout the novel AND the drama so far, he’s the kind of person I may want to have a short summer romance with, but never the kind of person I can depend on for a steady life. And that is kind of a very important criteria for marriage for a noble lady in those times!

Anyway moving on, regarding the plotline of Gu Minglan’s death, it is not a mystery in the novel: she forces herself to give birth to Yining prematurely, so that Yining’s parentage is not suspected. In a way, the novel portrays her as a very sensitive woman deeply conscious of the social taboos of her time, after Yining is conceived, giving birth to her is the only thing that keeps her tethered to life. 

The drama alters Gu Minglan’s character to be more self-reliant and thus adds in an element of intrigue to her death. I feel this is primarily driven by the fact that they will only reveal that Yining isn’t the garbage Luo Second master’s blood daughter much later in the drama, but this reveal actually happens pretty early in the novel. And THEN all the courtyard intrigue takes place when Yining joins her blood related paternal family (I don’t wanna spoil this, but maybe you guys will guess who it is anyway). In the drama plot, the intrigue continues to happen in the Luo family, after all, as a main character, you NEED to have some family member scheming to kill/ruin/wrong you always. 

Although Madam Chen’s character is more fleshed out here: her resentment is only human, considering that she loses her first son early and has to watch her husband harbor feelings for her sister-in-law, which is probably the highest level of social damnation for her, if it ever came out. Both in the novel and drama she is a person obsessed with maintaining ‘face’. In the novel, her first son is alive and well, and also her husband occupies a higher position than his brother. In the drama, she possesses neither of these comforts, and it’s not illogical that she plays a more vicious role. And the actress is also killing it; her expressions when no one is observing, do give off an ominous feeling.

Rambling about the basics of my post-bionic island Marcus redemption au :3

1. Marcus uses she/it pronouns. That is an agender butch lesbian TO ME.

Okay so I am a firm believer that Marcus's software and consciousness is backed up somewhere. She's Douglas's best creation and everyone knows it. Especially Giselle who literally COULD NOT replicate it in her androids. Also, Marcus literally reconstructed itself after the events of its first "death" in The Vanishing and was fully aware of what was going on up until she got melted by Douglas sooooo...

In my mind I think her consciousness is kinda just off somewhere trying to find a way back. If Marcus was pissed for the actions in Bionic Showdown she would absolutely be SEETHING about The Vanishing because it truly showed it that not only did Douglas leave her for death, he did not ever see her as a child because he couldn't even remember a single thing about it. Especially after seeing how much Douglas seemed to care about Daniel 🤨 oh she wants that man DEAD!

But despite all this she can't just make itself a new body... So it Bionic Showdown style hacks into Eddy's servers (Great idea hacking into a house full of people who would rather it stay dead... What could go wrong?) and just is a general nuisance. I think she'd show herself to Leo first because she lives to make his life a living hell and Leo would be actively trying to get rid of it for anywhere between weeks or months before Donald finds out (I don't think Leo would tell him because he feels that he NEEDS to be the one to finally kill Marcus for real. Tbf Marcus tried to kill him for funsies so like... Deserved). Donald upon finding out is understandably very upset (toward Marcus not Leo because I cannot stand Donald being a bad father please give that man GROWTH).

Marcus needs Donald to build her a body: 1) Because who else would do it 2) she knows it would bother Douglas if not only she came back, she was improved by his brother of all people

Obviously Donald isn't gonna do it... Not at first. Marcus is still clearly murderous but all his attempts at getting rid of her are met with failure. Marcus is there to stick around so he builds it one screen solely for herself in the lab so she won't interfere with anything else (does this work? I'll let you decide). He tells it that he won't even consider building her a new body unless she actually changes (read: isn't going to murder everyone).

So Marcus bides her time. She definitely thinks she can trick them into thinking she's changed when she actually hasn't. Which does not work because it finds itself actually mellowing over time. Leo isn't always there because he's on the island with Adam so it can't him, and Donald is busy with Tasha and eventually Naomi. Plus Chase, Bree, and Douglas being busy with the Elite Force (completely different in my mind but that's not relevant)

I like to think Tasha found out about Marcus on her own sometime when she was the only one in the house. At first she was vehemently against its presence but Tasha is the only reasonable adult in this whole show so I think she'd start to get to know Marcus and realize that she really was just a kid. A kid who was used and cast aside on multiple occasions only to be killed by the man it viewed as its father and she would be absolutely sickened by everything that happened.

Marcus's presence would be a household secret. No need to worry anyone else when there was no guarantee anything would even happen right? (I can't decide if Adam would know purely because he's the most protective but like they were all fine with Douglas sooooo... Idk)

Over time Marcus would actually grow attached to them and calm down so eventually she gets her body. Marcus definitely figured out her gender between her first revival and The Vanishing but she had people to kill so that was not her main priority. Which was also her mentality going into this so she definitely didn't tell anyone until they were talking about making her body. It doesn't want any changes so essentially it's just a recreation of its look in The Vanishing. Donald finds a way to make Marcus actually last longer unlike its original model.

They make it very clear that if Marcus tries anything they'll turn on her but like honestly only Leo means it by this point. Leo is still highly suspicious (valid honestly) and its not helped by the fact that Marcus still does not care for his ass. But by this point I think both Donald and Tasha have grown attached because they've started to humanize Marcus and really sympathize with it. Marcus is largely confined to the house so they can monitor its behavior before they let it out, especially before they let it interact with everyone else.

Eventually they'd take her to the Elite Force and she's obviously met with hostility and suspicion but I think the Mighty Med crew would show it some grace. She's mostly just hanging around and making highly passive aggressive comments at Douglas. I don't think she would leave because even if she promises not to kill anyone it definitely is not going to make Douglas's life easy. She needs to make sure that Douglas eventually sees her as a person. It won't settle for any less. She needs to know that Douglas's decisions will keep him up at night. That he won't ever be able to live with and recover from the guilt that he killed his child.

Misc.:

1. Marcus definitely becomes fast friends with the Mighty Med crew, but especially with Oliver and Skylar. Skylar because I think they would bond over the android and alien thing and Oliver because of the parental issues obviously.

2. Oliver HATES Douglas after learning everything no question. I think he would be the only one to truly understand and connect with Marcus over this.

Sooo Inspiration huh. Very interesting topic for me because i am. Very much shaped by the art and media I like / consume. And yet i dont feel like much of it shows up in my own art style really. I am not sure why, probably because i never fully. Studied art tbh. Went to art school in free time ever since i was a 1st grader but i still feel like i skipped some major steps in actual art teachings. Color theory is my enemy.

But as direct inspirations I would say I have wayy to many to count.

Signalis (unsuprisingly) has been a literal life changing experience and I am putting down here because i cannot fully express how much it fuels me and my artistic aspirations ever since i played it. I truly wish to make a story on signalises level that can impact others.

As a second biggest inspo , i have to go with my long term soft spot that i have for the Dishonored series , specificly the art of Dishonored 2 will never leave my soul. There were multiple incredible artists working on the design team but the general feel and dedication they put into this world is smth i wish to do similiarly. Arkanes general philosophy aligns with mine.

For final big game i suppose ill put Ultrakill. I dont know what it is specificly about it that makes me so. At awe of it but it scratches my brain in similair way signalis did with its low poly style and striking colors and solid designs.

For artists god uh theres to many fjfhshdhg my own art changes style everydamn week i feel like but at least for people that impact me lately . @mrzuddie(sorry for the tag)s style has personaly spoken to me on a lot of levels , dont know why specificly but it scratches my brain so well . I always admired the more. Chaotic artstyles ? Sketchy , or rough looking pieces speak to me more than smth hyper realistic or shaded. Thats why i like pixelated stuff too. Remarins speedpaints on youtube were big part of my teen years i would say and they shaped me into being a digital artist mainly. Shiwasu Hoshikawa's Bungo Stray Dogs art also falls under the scratchy wild art category i love and wish i could replicate more .

I cant really think of any movie funikly enough that shaped me artisticly much. I like Top Gun Maverick but thats cause im a pilot and have a history with it fjfhfj. 9 film from 2009 was striking though that might have been subconciously affecting me. Also as most i think Into the spideverse and any recent well animated movie can fall in this category.

Idunno i just. Like to draw. I need to create stuff. And everything around me influences the way i draw. Including you btw your art is incredible and It is honestly fascinating studying the texture of your brushes and strokes. Thank you for asking me :]

15 Day BL Challenge: Character Edition

I'm VERY excited about today's target in my speed run - the character related prompts. I love breaking down and analyzing characters. I will put up with a lot of wrongs in a show for a well-developed and engaging character. Likewise, character assassination (where characters act completely out of character) will quickly ruin a show for me.

I did make some ground rules:

The series must be completed for a character to be included. A character can be ruined even in the final episode. So no matter how much I LOVE Style right now from THK, he's eliminated from consideration.

I cannot have already mentioned the character as an answer to one of the other prompts. For example, no matter if Ming from My Stand-In or Hashimoto from My Love Mix-Up would work, they're out.

Plus a constant mantra in my head: "Think back. Think back. Don't cave to recency bias." Note: It will still and always be in play. I watch an enormous amount of shows. I've watched BLs since at least 2017 (and some queer media earlier than that). But there's only a few shows that get permanent mental real estate. Wish I had made a spreadsheet over the years.

Day 29 - Best Wingman

I'll go with Meena from Love Sea. She is her uncle's biggest fan, protector and supporter, and you know she's going to be just as supportive of Mahasamut. She's probably even mediating their arguments in the future. She's an adorable wingman.

Day 36 - Favourite BL parents/parental figures

For recent shows, I love Shao Peng's parents in See Your Love, Ai's parents in I Saw You in My Dream, and Jack's grandmother from Jack & Joker. There's probably some I liked in older shows, but I can't think of any at the moment. 😭

Day 39 - Favourite Red Flag

😂😂😂 You want me to choose ONE red flag character? I could give you dozens. For now, I'll go with Ritsu (End of the World With You). I already listed his counterpart on saddest boys anyways precisely BECAUSE Ritsu is a red flag. To be clear, it's not Ritsu's lack of commitment that's the issue for me. It's because of the way he deceives and manipulates other people. But.....yeah. The world is ending. I'd have no qualms.

Day 40 - Favourite Green Flag

I'll go with Shinomiya Naoya from Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But to Kiss.

He was sweet and subverted some typical archetypes for the tropes in play. I just enjoyed this little fluffy bit of a show, and I enjoyed it largely because of his character.

Day 50 - Favourite female identifying character IN A BL?

I can't list Manju or Hashimoto, so Ju from Century of Love. I just loved her energy. I dream of being this open with my elders. I also tried (and failed) to replicate her hairstyle on multiple occasions.

Day 52 - Which BL character would you love to be friends with in real life?

Pharm from UWMA. He FEEDS his friends with fabulous sandwiches and desserts - all unprompted. Plus he'd be so obsessed with Dean that he wouldn't expect me to be social all the time. Did I mention he'd give me food?

Day 56 - Most badass BL character

Gumpa from Not Me. That group of ragtag criminals/social justice warriors had a LOT of dominant personalities. It takes a true baddie to keep control of that type of energy. It may not have shown him in action as much, but you KNOW he would've taken out an army if the narrative/writers would've allowed.

Proof Johnny Depp Lied

Johnny Depp lied in the trial and its proven both in the court recordings and in the transcripts.

Early on in the trial, Ambers lawyer asks if Johnny Depp sent the following text messages:

«Right. Exactly. Molly's pussy is rightfully mine. Should I not just bust in and remove its hinges tonight?»

«"I want to change her understanding of what it is like to be thrashed about like a pleading Mackrel.»

«I NEED. I WANT. I TAKE.»

He denies it, claiming that he never said these words, and when presented with the evidence, that he did not send those messages (even though they were sent from his device). Claims of impersonation are, at the best of times, convenient but during the same examination he proves himself a liar when another text message is presented, written in the same style and he admits to writing it.

He does not dispute writing the following text, admitting with a clear «i most certainly did» when asked if he sent it:

«She's begging for total global humiliation. She's going to get it. I'm gonna need your texts about San Francisco, brother. I'm even sorry to ask. But, she sucked Mollusk's crooked dick and he gave her some shitty lawyers. I have no mercy, no fear, and not an ounce of emotion, or what I once thought was love for this gold digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market.

I'm so fucking happy she wants to go to fight this out. She will hit the wall hard. And I cannot wait to have this waste of a cum guzzler out of my life. I met a fucking sublime little Russian here, which made me realize the time I blew on that 50 cent stripper. I wouldn't touch her with a goddamn glove. The idea that he did not write the first text message is proven by the admission of writing the second. The writing style is the same. The idea that he did not write the first was laughable to begin with, but for this bogeyman impersonator to replicate his texting style with such accuracy? If these two instances alone do not prove it you can keyword search «text» in the transcripts and see for yourselves what i mean, for this messaging style is quite consistent with all of the others he admits to sending throughout the trial. This proves his guilt and this was the moment i knew he is a liar.

If he lied about this, so minor a message (because lets be honest nobody cares if you say demeaning things about women) for the sake of his reputation, what else was he lying about during this trial? He so obviously lied about so much more but the charisma of the more experienced actor won in the end.

Transcript sections and a link to the whole transcript and recording are provided below. The sections i copied are from pages 67-75. The date of this part of the trial was 25th May 2022 (Trial day 22 according to the video but 23 according to the transcript.)

Delilah Jones

There’s something pulp-fiction about her name. Not in relation to the movie, but to the genre of genre fiction that was published on a far cheaper quality of paper than the mainstream literary books in the 1920s-50s. The paper was a pulp conglomeration, thicker than more refined paper, and courser. And the paper came to represent the whole genre.

Pulp. Popular. Violent, sexy, evocative, accessible. Everything you want in your fiction. That’s the spirit I infused Delilah with, going forward. She’s not me, the character may be trans, but she’s not my wish fulfillment anymore.

Well. Not for my life.

See, in those old pulp stories of adventure and sex, queer folks and minorities were almost always either villains, or cruel stereotypes designed to undercut the clean-shaven strong-jawed all-American hero.

But there’s beauty in those stories. There’s room to play against power structures in those pages. And there’s a lot worth reclaiming. I think there’s real value in telling pulp-style transgressive stories through the eyes of the people excluded from those narratives. Pointing at the constricting ouroboros of end-stage capitalism and, if in no other place, using fiction to dismantle the power of corporate fascism and brutality is important.

It's escapism. It’s literary pecan pie. Nutritional value may be lacking, but the things it feeds the soul cannot be replicated.

These villains can be overcome in real life through enormous work and incredible solidarity. But sometimes you just wanna see the bully get fucking slammed by the physical manifestation of punishing hubris.

That’s what these stories are. Delilah Jones exists to literally lay hands on these existential killers of our world and just whoop their asses.

I think they both have like rlly stupid, corny, sappy pet names for eachother. I think we’ve talked about something like this in the past b4 but I kinda wanna expand on it more. Like the shit they call each other is so unserious, James unironically calls B pookie,,,,,,,, n like B will call him stuff like, “sugar, honey, baby, sweetie, darlin’, love of my life,” but like all at once in one continuous string of words, like, is he stupid?[SILLY] N they will do this to a nauseous amount. To the point where like if 1 of them is doing something n the other walks n or smth, they will both more than likely just get so distracted by the other’s mere presents that they just completely forget abt whatever they were doing b4. They just that gay ig, smh, me when I’m such gay that I forgor abt my surroundings, just bc I’m that gay[VSILLY] 

If B wakes up b4 James does n she refuses 2 get up, he’ll like threaten 2 cook breakfast bc he’s shit at cooking n like 9/10 times it works bc B has legitimately stared kitchen fires trying to cook in the past,,,, B also has like a rlly low flavor tolerance, n I don't just mean like spice I mean like ALL FLAVORS. Like, eating a burger would make him feel sick. This is what eating nothing but granola and almond water for upwards of 50 years will do 2 a mf, smh 😔🙏. The 70’s mind could never truly comprehend the modern fast food industry.

B carries James around bridal style at random intervals, just cuz he’s that light weight. It do kinda stem from this underlying need he has to protect the people close to him as much as possible, but also just cuz it’s funny. Like James does complain about it sometimes, but it’s done jokingly most of the time. I also think both of them r just rlly physically clingy, like they r always holding hands or cuddling in some capacity. Idk it’s a trauma thing. Like James does it bc of the whole, y'know, not being loved as a child thing, and B does it bc of backrooms mind-fuck, anyone could die at any moment, mental shenanigans. They're just like super touch starved, borderline codependent at times, like, go 2 therapy PLZ,,,,, 

B legitimately HATES horror movies, like cannot physically stand 2 watch them and can’t comprehend y anyone would want 2 either. Unluckily 4 him tho, James [n Hashley] does not feel the same way. They rlly like 2 watch horror movies n stuff just 2 make fun of them, but they gotta be extra abt it they can't just pick like “normal” horror movies, they gotta put on some freak shit like Tusk or Splice,,,B is evidently NOT a fan of this…

James snores rlly fucking loudly. 2 the point where it just starts 2 sound like white noise after a while. B don’t gaf tho cuz he’s like an extraordinarily heavy sleeper. Like, aside from all the backrooms trauma n paranoia, that’s 1 of the main reasons y he sleeps with 1 eye open, bc it is like cominally hard to wake this man up otherwise. Like. U gotta full on shake him,,, 

James is the only person B is comfortable with seeing most of his scars. He’s fine with, like, Hashley seeing more minor scarage like his hand and parts of his lower leg, but nothing past that. I think that like around their house there r just. like. Random drawers with shirts n stuff in them so that B can just slip 1 on whenever if need be 4 like if they get like a knock on the door from someone, bc B usually sleeps shirtless[gay/VSILLY] 

B is rlly good at putting on fake accents me thinks. Like,,,he kinda hates the way he sounds normally, so, it’s sorta just a skill he developed over time to just. sound like whatever. Impersions 2,,, like if he’s listened 2 someone talk 4 long enough, he can. like. almost perfectly replicate their voice. Like if he’s in a rlly petty mood or smth he’ll do it 2 James cuz he knows it pisses him off

dude. i have lost like. all confidence to post my art. and it truly really sucks

like i get so discouraged at people who are doing better than me as tweenagers and i have a bad habit of comparing myself to them. i just think “wow how are you so bad at this hobby you’ve pursued for your whole life and you’re almost an adult”.

i post old things every now and then but i even delete some of *that* stuff which is really sad. and now i don’t even have motivation to actually finish anything in my sketchbook becus i know i won’t post it so there won’t be any point.

this whole situation im in is just awful. there’s barely anything i’m embarrassed about doing but this is one of the exceptions. my anxiety about this topic has gotten rapidly worse these past couple months. for now i’m just showing my friends my work, but i even tend to worry then even tho i have the most supportive friends in the world.

there are old works that i am proud of at times, but my mood regarding pieces constantly switches and it’s frustrating. and half the time i cannot replicate what i once did becus i can’t even remember how i did it and so my quality and style just deteriorates.

idk sorry this just turned into a vent but i hope some people can relate to my frustrations
