Guess who made a QSMP AU about Martyn being on the Island?!

This is just some barfing I did while dealing with Carpal Tunnel, so if you see some of them and think, "Why is the lineart so bad here?" That's why. I developed Carpal Tunnel and refused to stop and/or remove my brace.

Anyway, I still have no idea how Martyn would have gotten to the island within the logic on the island, like I'm sure Doc sent him there, but I have no idea if he would have being already there or was sent on a boat by the island or what. I do know that they will probably contact him because of his experience dealing with Watchers as someone who seemed to break out of their grasp, and the Federation thinks what they have on their hand is a Watcher since, you know, tricked a bunch of people into a secluded area and forcing to kill each other for its entrainment is all very Watcher-y behavior.

What they didn't know is that he seems close to the notorious Federation hater and anarchist Philza, like, sure, they look similar, but you can't blame them! All white men look the same!

Something about Sang-woo that's really fucking me up is that his face and his whole look is really soft. Like you'd think it's sharper because of his character and personality but it really isn't. Like whenever I draw him I catch myself drawing him with a lot of sharp features and then I'm like "No, make it rounder, make it softer". Even his hair is very soft and has round shapes, Even his glasses, while being square in shape Have Round Edges!!! I don't know if that was intentional and if yes what exactly it's supposed to show. Maybe it's literally just because Park Hae-soo was the best actor for the role and that's just what his face looks like. But either way I love the contrast. How a character that appears (!!!) so sharp and not that caring has such soft features. Which tbh that fits again because deep down I think Sang-woo is a soft caring person, he's just not showing it because he probably feels like it will make him appear weak or some dumb shit like that. Beloved <3

Also compare it to In-ho who has very sharp and angular facial features. Even his hair is a lot less soft when he's the frontman, he only makes is softer when he pretends to be Young-il!!! That's what a villain usually looks like. So in conclusion, Sang-woo can't be a villain in Squid Game cause his face is too soft for that <3 /hj

#even his fingers like #i've drawn sangwoo's hands and was like something is off and it's because character wise in my head he's like that tall slender man #Bzt He Isn't!!!#he's soft and round and I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM!!!#and don't get me wrong his face has a very square shape #but it's not that sharp #if you look at his jawline it's very soft and rounded #his cheekbones aren't as pronounced as they are for a lot of other characters #even the shape of his lips is very rounded #like everything kind of blends into each other if that makes sense?#a characters look and face always adds to how we percieve them #and in squid game that usually is also how characters look #inho like i said has very sharp features #saebyeok and jiyeong do too #they are both hardened by what happened to them they aren't soft innocent girls they had shit happen to them and you can see it #but softer kinder characters like ali youngmi jungbae or junhee all have rounder and softer features #they all obviously aren't like perfect angels either but they are definetly those characters that you just want to keep safe #even with gihun you can see his face got sharper in season 2 after he got more hardened #i know you obviously cast actors so they also have the right look for a character #and sometimes a face is just a face and you can kinda change some features with makeup but also not everything #and yeah i'm not fully sure what i'm trying to say #maybe this post is just about how i love sangwoo's face and how it's square but still soft #and how that softness in his look kinda contradicts how his character is outwardly shown #and how maybe that still says something about his character #and maybe also just how i wanna squish his face <3 #squid game #squid game analysis #cho sang woo #park hae soo #lea's random thoughts

#the imagined familial relationship napsta and mtt have in my mind that is b&g is very importante to me #mtt 'abandons' napsta in that house to go make it somewhere else and like goes full cold contact #napsta knows mtt is in the area but they stop talking and calling each other and all that as mtt figures himself out #and whatever happened in those 2 years where napsta was left at home by themselves is unknown cause theyll never say #maddie blames that mtt shouldve stayed home and just took it for napstas sake but instead jeopardized their plans entirely #to which mtt has thoughts lol cause maddie moved out first technically #but regardless. they dont reconnect until years later when mtt is like. 21 and has a freakout on his birthday at work #and locks himself in the Underground bathroom and for the first time in years rings the home phone #and when napsta picks up he begs them to come get him #and its sort of a big thing because naptsa is a shut-in and very well known to be one. hence why maddie wanted mtt to tough it out #and stay a little longer #cause napsta only really lives within the parameters of their house and goes no further. hasnt gone outside alone since they were kids #very devout socially anxious shut-in does not mix with loud crowded underground bar. but napsta does come #and picks up their cousin cause like in canon napsta still cares about their cousin #this is all pre-b&g stuff but twas listening to this song and thought about them. i like the reality ive created in my mind #napsta being a very religious muslim who struggles to live in society but will make the scary trek to pick up their cousin #from a hysterical breakdown because they care and they know mtt still cares about them too and how its just #really hard to exist sometimes so they gotta be there for each other #i think this is how mtt finds out the house is empty and that everyones gone so hes able to come home now #napsta tries walking him there and hes scared to go until napsta says its empty and filled with dust now #and that theyve been gardening to feed themself but havent been able to call anybody to fix a busted light #and mtt covered in makeup smears and drool and tears just walks in and quietly fixes it himself while napsta watches #i could go on for hoursbut i have to go to the ocean rn #boys & girls #fanart #Youtube

#now I'm watching buffy the vampire slayer.#it's on tubi and financially we're at ''can't buy a hulu subscription for new girl so it's just whateverthefuck tubi has''.#and tubi has btvs. so that's what we're doing tonight.#i like that right off the bat we're getting AG-level unnatural dialogue (well. that's hyperbolic but some of it's a little weird lol)#I do think I will enjoy this though. it looks cheesy and frankly lower budget than I was expecting and I tend to enjoy those things.#and idk. pilot episodes are always weird.#I give each show about five/six episodes of leeway and if I still don't like it by then I'll drop it #but as a psych fan I know that sometimes you've gotta give it a minute.#the psych pilot is IMO very dissonant from the rest of the show. not in terms of humor or tone necessarily? (although a bit in tone)#but just pacing-wise (and there's a whole character that they dropped by episode 2).#it's a weird one and it taught me that some pilot episodes are not that great at telling you how the show actually FEELS.#house did a good job even if I kind of felt like I was tossed into the deep end of the pool a bit #and while I do have complicated feelings about this show- b99's pilot was a pretty accurate indicator of what you're in for.#but other times it's just weirdly disconnected. this one does seem pretty solid so far though? interested to see how it keeps going.

#htf #happy tree friends #htf nutty #Ok ok I know it’s not that serious and it’s just supposed to be a collection of random notes to imply music #But lemme be a nerd for a minute ok!!#okay so firstly none of those aren’t like. Technically real notes??#I looked it up and apparently they are considered tremolo eighth notes #which is basically where you rapidly switch between two notes next to each other on the scale #So in reality it’s a modification to a normal eighth note which normally has the little circle filled in #Also!! All these notes are eighth notes! The double one is just two eighth notes tied together #The direction of the stem on the notes doesn’t matter although they’re only drawn on the left when the note is on the upper half of the sta #and even then they point downward instead of upward #so technically the first four notes are backwards #anyways so there’s five eighth notes in this sequence. Each eighth note equals half a beat #(yeah the naming convention is a lil funky to none music folks. The notes are named after how much they take up a 4 beat measure)#(a whole note is 4 beats so one eighth of 4 is 1/2)#anyways so that means this musical sequence equals 2.5 beats #Measures don’t tend to be mixed numbers or fractions #so to actually play this rhythm you would need to slot a half rest somewhere #and that’s not even mentioning how this sequence isn’t even accurate to the actual sound in the final episode #which makes sense the boards were probably done before the sound editing took place and the little tune in the final is much nicer sounding #Than what this sequence would’ve sounded like played #Going off of ear I thiiiink what’s played in the final is a quarter note followed by a sixteenth note run #Followed by another quarter note???#idk I’m not an expert I’ve just been playing a clarinet for school band stuff since like. 4th grade lol #im not even that good at it but I still do marching band anyway #anyways thanks for coming to music class/Odie overanalyzes a series of notes that weren’t supposed to mean anythin

SHITTY THOUGHT - Boyfriend finds me a burden and I am a very needy and exhausting person

So I’m reverse Swiss cheesing the thought and taking it back by a few layers esch time - what actually is happening?

BF started new meds -> so he’s having trouble sleeping -> and he’s therefore tired -> he’s also marking a LOT of A Level papers -> so stressed on top of that -> my period has started -> I’m feeling a more emotionally fraught -> plus I have been probably spreading myself too thin helping people this week* -> and also lol PhD -> so I TOO am feeling tired/stressed

So peeling back the stacks of Swiss cheese slices to see where the hole is in each one and going ah, yeah okay I can see WHY I’d think that.

So shitty thought becomes -> you’re both very tired and just need to get some sleep, you’ll see each other over the weekend and you’ll be okay.

The Summer I Turned Pretty commits the crime of having a) nothing going on besides the love triangle or at least nothing in any real way, b) having Belly (the name! pls!) have no other personality trait than believing she is the main character.

#the unbelievable thinness of the premise #was thinking of tvd lately and how despite its Heightened Dramatics etc. and obvious wish fulfillment elements #the show mostly ignores those and even ignores the love stories to tell the Main Supernatural Story #so the relationship dynamics have breathing room to develop or come apart naturally (which they do)#it’s the never the direct engine of the plot you know?#the plot is always like We Must Stop Katherine from Stealing the Town’s Supply of Vervaine #and everyone’s focus is there on trying to solve the problem and it WORKS #if the actual engine of your plot runs on a girl being like ‘idk I just can’t choose between these two brothers’ and then everyone cycling #through dating/sleeping with/breaking up each other #you create SOCIOPATHIC AND INTENSELY UNLIKABLE PEOPLE #Elena’s every move re: her romantic relationships #in season 1-4 makes sense. to me. and makes her likable #despite the high level of difficulty that being the center of a love triangle #without being unlikable calls for #and a huge part of that is just because Elena is focused on 1) surviving her own immense losses 2) surviving the literal Villains #who are trying to kill her #who she should be with comes second and that’s A GOOD THING #also the intertwining of her romantic relationships with her trying to survive/struggling with grief #makes for some fascinating choices from #her that I love #like when she chooses Stefan at the end of season 3 and it’s both because her loyalty is such a core trait of hers #(also likable in a love triangle center BELLY PLS)#but also because she does it because she has to survive right now and she needs Damon to hold out a little longer #and she can trust he’ll keep being there for her even if she has to reject him #and he does! and it’s sooooooo beautiful #and yeah it’s ‘selfish’ of her but actually it ISN’t #because she IS choosing and she IS making a choice and telling him directly #and she doesn’t say ‘I need you to stay anyway’#(or wait does she I can’t remember) but he hears that!#anyway it’s my favorite love triangle (seasons 1-4)

i seriously believe ayano would not be able to walk in heels at all and the only reason i draw her in heels is because i'm simple minded and i like drawing the big ass minnie mouse shoes

#same for kano's shoes i do think he'd still wear the big ass gothy boots #but the heels look cuter with the rest of the clothes i gave him. if i have him the boots he looked basically the same too #idk in my head it made him look older. idk. it made a bigger difference 2 me in designs... whatver...#whenever i start drawing ayano super pregnant in the comics which i will have to do apparently #maybe ill change her shoes. i know she's a drawing but i'd feel bad having to be super pregnant and just making her walk around in heels #kagekids #in fact when i first started making these comics i considered changing everyone's outfits in each comic for funs #like choosing a couple different ones and alternating those. cause that's an excuse to draw cute outfits...#but on one hand i do adore the same clothes forever cartoon thing #and on the other hand shintaro's impossible to think outfits for. my guy wears the same thing everyday cartoon or not #but i guess that would've been funny next to ayano and kano constantly changing their outfits #charas like momo and mary i wanted to give rly specific outfits but it was extremely self indulgent and i wanted to be more canon compliant #i wanted momo to be full on y2k gyaru girly and give mary a more whimsy witchy look.#but mary is literally based on lolita fashion so i was like fine fine ill just do something cutesy but i dont like her alice ass dress #like thats just a maid dress #so anyways i was like yeah i should keep Mary's colors and frills BUT ill get away with the super floor length skirt #actually ayano's is floor length too but it wasnt first i just kept making it progressively longer cause its more comfortable to draw. tbh #like when legs are bending n stuff. if i have to draw the ankles it looks awkward anyways wtf am i talking about #and i did make momo like that but i wanted it to be more exaggerated but instead i gave her a hoodie to be more her...#anyways. done talking to myself now
