then, i got this.

oh my god!! how nice!! how sweet!!! how thoughtful!! i gave them my email and they sent over a subscription, i thanked them profusely. i was very grateful, very touched.

hours and hours later i was still thinking about it and i recalled how, in the email id gotten about it, it said "tao yang sent you a subscription" and id seen that and thought "oh haha like the tao yang" and then moved on

but now, thinking back, i was like.... theres no way, so i googled tao yang.

turning buck and tommy's relationship and breakup in my head for this fic has been so funny bc atp i'm very much at the "buck's done nothing wrong" stage. like he was too enthusiastic. that's all. tommy never thought they were gonna last bc he didn't believe in buck's sincerity and made up a narrative about him being in love with eddie. anything i try to ascribe as a "fault" to buck has to be made-up bs to give tommy a little grace bc he genuinely did nothing wrong in canon. not being as interested in the relationship as much as tommy? absolutely fanon when he got dumped *for* being too into it. not talking to tommy about abby? fanon when tommy literally had no problem with it and also didn't know what buck even went through in his head. like his only fault was being too eager too soon and having a close friend lmao. i simply can't two-side this shit if it requires me to make up insecurities for tommy at the cost of making up faults for buck

im fully expecting the show to go the way of the movies. it doesnt help Sea of Monsters is almost unanimously the least favorite book of the first series. People frequently forget it even exists or what happens in it, especially more casual fans.

Heck, just look at how little fanfare the second season has gotten so far as compared to the build up to s1. I wouldn't be surprised if s2 totally flops. It would be a little funny.

ummmm so i really dont know considering i keep thinking my standards are just super high but they're actually so incredibly non-existent that I cried seeing somebody's partner remember the name of one of their many many ocs the other day.

like ohhh someone you're with would care to remember such a thing...? I quite literally couldn't imagine... my realistic daydreams barely go beyond "you will end up with somebody that hates you 🫶" much less "a partner is a person you share interests with and cares about the little things and um...is nice." A guy like al (personality wise) has always just been the vision of unrealistic idealized romanticized relationship for me. I never thought it could be real. (And then apparently it can be but it's incredibly rare.)

Its less "i havent found someone that looks EXACTLY like xyz" and more I just havent rarely find people I click with enough to be friends, much less anything More. And THEN I'd have to consider oh, would they even make a good partner? But we haven't even made it through that first step lmao (my closest friends are not guys) so all i have is "uhh someone who is nice and i can actually have daily conversations with I guess" (<- literally just a friend)
