Unfortunately, I am sometimes subjected to the wider gw2 player-base's opinions. Map chat, what the fuck do you mean the game is in maintenance mode?? We got another major patch with new content and story not even a week ago! Hello?? Huh???

god i fucking love competitive play, i love watching high level, skilled gameplay from passionate players, i love learning the statistics for each player and the game as a whole, i love hearing everyone and especially the casters glaze the fuck out of my favorite players. mc summit/mojang and mc.c you will be fucking dealt with .

every time i start a new fic i get stuck in the exact same “they would not fucking say that” place but it’s not about what they would say it’s “they would not fucking hang out socially.” like i can only come up with like two or three scenarios where i can get katniss and peeta to interact without the hunger games and then im just like well the thing is they just. wouldn’t continue hanging out. and even if i CAN set it up so they would hang out it’s like, they don’t have anything to do. i can’t just make them sit around and chat like they both would live with their parents they’re not going to just like hang out at each others house. like i KNOW the point of the books is that they don’t hang out socially because of their differing backgrounds and the fact that they’re both poor so they spend their all their time either working or procuring food. but it makes it so hard to set up aus and make them get to know each other. “this would have happened anyway” yeah sure but what would you DO

last post reminded me, my brother has me play roblox with him occasionally and last time we played there was a guy that had a horrifically realistic character model of the thumb guys from spykids. he was playing with a controller so he could swagger through the map like a bamf. it was completely intimidating the sheer power this man exuded

anyway apparently in the server they dropped a BUNCH of the original assets and will at some point be dropping a bunch of lines including cut and unincluded lines from Brighting. listen im not in the server my friend is doing all the work for me and im grateful for them every day. there are MAP FILES. and VIDEOS

is it just me or are the timers on the map challenges not nearly long enough in the dlc (actually. they may be like this in main game, idk. i haven't played the last island on the main story yet lol)

i get having quicker times since it is the final stretch, but my stats are basically maxed out and i am nowhere near finishing the challenges on time

maybe im just really bad at this game but idk. it's a bit frustrating

I think one of the kindest things you can do for people with various mental health struggles is just... let people back into your life after they've been absent for a while.

Making friends as an adult is so fucking hard already and isolating yourself from other people is a very common symptom of depression, anxiety, burnout, ocd, trauma, grief, etc. Which means that someone will do the hard work of recovery/healing and resurface back into a world where their previous friends have written them off because they stopped showing up.

So if you know someone where you're like "yeah we could have been better friends but they fell off the map a bit" and that person suddenly reaches out, or starts showing up to events even though you kind of forgot they were still in the group chat... well they may have been Going Through It and you don't actually have to punish them for their absence you can just be glad that they're back.
