essentially, leo and raph find two kids, hidden away in the middle of the apocalypse, and take them in. they both latched onto leo and raph, having been the first faces theyve seen.

the two of em clung to each other growing up. they share a birthday, the day they were found. they get their names separately; yeowl was named first. no matter how much anyone tried to get him to stay silent, yeowl just wouldnt shut up, earning him a nickname that just Stuck. that left his brother referred to as 'the kid'. this was unacceptable to Cassandra, immediately prompting her to call dibs and name the child after herself. keeping the brothers as a package deal, she officially names them Casey Jones Jr. and Yeowl Jones

just as how leo is essentially casey's dad/mentor/sensei, yeowl looks up to raph in a similar manner. theyre both raised collectively by the resistance though, with donnie and mikey being their uncles, april their aunt, and cass as their mom.

thats most of what i have of him so far :] with rottmnt taking over my brain i wanna flesh him out a little more but i thought why not make a post for him <3

Goodbye Rock Kingdom...

This is my idea for what specifically the far north-west region of the Rock Kingdom looks like, the part bordering the forested colorful Pop territory, and known as the backwater, hick part of the country. It's very scarcely populated with mainly woolly caterpillar farms and small settlements, and it's where Les and Hed are from.

While the center of the kingdom is a large active volcano which doesn't lend itself to most plant life, I imagine there's more and more the further away you travel from it. My main inspiration for this part of the country were the tundra biome and the Scottish highlands — with the ground mostly being covered in rock and a thin layer of soil and flora: mostly low growing vegetation like lichen, moss and herbs, and nothing taller than subshrubs such as heather and berry bushes. Actual shrubs and trees start to show up only when you start to near the Pop Forest.

The nature is mostly in various shades of reds, browns, grays, and earthy greens, basically the colors Rock Trolls come in, since my headcanon is that their colors are like camouflage in their natural environment. (I don't think Rock Trolls can change the color of their hair the way we see Pop Trolls do in the first movie.)

And their shaggy hair textures are supposed to resemble the environment too. With all the lichen and other rough and patchy textures, I was also trying to bring out a bit of a "grunge" effect. Though I feel like this part didn't come out in the illustrations the way I wanted it to. ':)

Overall I imagine it being a very pretty place, with open skies and amazing views, the downside is the close-mindedness of the trolls living there and the fact that there's not much going on.

Dove Oak-Garcia: Dove gave Henry and Mercedes a little false hope about all children being as well behaved as her, she has embraced the nature loving, hippie dippie lifestyle her parents have and is more laid back than Lark and Sparrow but does nothing to help stop their chaos, she didn't know it but she looks just like her grandma autumn, she is a cleric/druid multiclass, who tried so hard to help everyone that one day she just had to turn into a wolf and go live in the woods for a few years

Grace Wilson: Captain of the San Dimas High Cheerleading team, Grace is the epitome of Darryl's mini-me and a daddys girl through and through, does that drive a wedge between her and Carol? the world may never know, a good catholic girl through and through, sure hope no amount of forgotten realms trauma shakes that up, a paladin in the forgotten realms

Stevie Close/Stephanie Foster: nothing is more punk rock than being parentified after the death of your mother, Stevie is very used to taking care of her little brother and sees their dad in a lot harsher of a light than Nick does, before the forgotten realms she was a little jealous of the other girls for having normal dads, then she actually met the other dads, Stevie is, to her own chagrin, a bard just like her dad
