Mini rant under the cut

When I first got into BKMN a few months ago I was desperate to find artists who also liked and drew characters from it! I was was extremely disappointed when I couldn’t find anyone. But then I found Jooj. I immediately fell in love with their character Mousey and how they had a relationship with Rarold building off the comic.I immediately followed them and got tumblr to see as much of their work as possible! A few weeks ago I opened my phone and saw Jooj and I were now mutuals??? I was so excited I told everyone! My parents, teachers, friends, and partner!! They didn’t fully understand but supported my excitement! I’ve been lucky enough to even privately talk with them via Instagram! Well enough of me being obsessed with their art…

30 months… 915 days in a row that I love Rarold. It's crazy in the best possible way to tell myself that I still love him so much after all this time... I show my love for him through my oc, Mousey, who is very important to me!!! Love wins, love you Rarold!! 🫠🌽❤️

Two years... today has been two years in a row I love Rarold and my love never stopped ever since I've read BKMN for the first time on August 15, 2022... here's a drawing I wanted to make for our special day... I LOVE HIM!! 🌽♥️ (More under the cut!! ✂️)

My love for the corn man very is serious... I have my walls covered in pictures of him, my oc x canon ship with Mousey, some selfship art, itabags and so on... 🌽❤️

Tom's waits album "Real Gone" by Tom Waits!! (Gifted by my friend Sarah) the "Don't go into that barn" song is there... :3 1st and 2nd edition of BKMN... (I need the third!!) 2 Rarold plushies I tried to sew myself when I tried sewing for the 1st time... & my itabags!!! 🌽❤️

Framed pictures!!! A drawing traditionally drawn by the BKMN author themselves (I love it so much ❤️), a Rarold drawn by Omar from Team Egg I've got in a commission stream &&& Rarold and Kevin from the comic itself because I thought that was sweet to have that framed too!! 🌽❤️

My laptop is covered with corn stickers (two of them aren't corn cause that laptop is 5 years old and it already was here lol), Rarold keychains I designed myself, a cute corn keychain &&& a corn bookmark (Gifted by my friend Madeline) So many others corn items as well!!! The potato and corn plushies represent my comfort oc x canon ship with Rarold and Mousey... The both of them mean so much to me and I love to show my love to Rarold though my lovely oc Mousey 🌽🥔❤️💚 Rarold rug (handmade by my friend Madeline) and Rarold shirt with that one meme "do it for him" (I'm wearing it today for our two years anniversary as we speak 🤣🌽❤️)

And my very special item... My Rarold body pillow!! (Designed by my friend Rocky) 🌽❤️

Well, that is all... for now!! 3 plushies (2 big ones and a mini one) are currently being made by a friend of mine... The 2 big plushies will be Rarold and Mousey and the mini one will be my bkmnsona, a mini me!!! And I'll also get a Rarold figure by cadavercrafts! Exciting 🌽❤️

I've been loving Rarold for 16 months now and for that I wanted to make a little comic based on my headcanons and stuff! Been working on it for days, I wanted it to be special and accurate! I love Rarold a LOT! Enjoy this short story about him. 🌽💖

BONUS: Mousey and Rarold's 1979 design, it was a blast and so much fun for me to imagine how they could look a bit older... I think there's something beautiful at imagining how characters could be in the future y'know? So much possibilities!! 🥔🌽

...And yes. Mousey was already wearing crocs all the way back in 1979 when it actually was created in the 2000s. They truly were ahead of their time!!

Might be strange to some people, but that's how I am. I genuinely love Rarold and show my love to him though Mousey who is like a self insert to me to this point (they're so me!!!) I've been loving him since 08.15.22 and that won't change!!! I also have so many items about him...

Today, it's exactly one year that I read BKMN for the first time. This comic has changed my life in the best way, especially Rarold who has been making me happy for 365 days. Happy first birthday to me who loved this character for the first time exactly a year ago! 🌽💖

Over this whole year, I have obtained items that remind me of Rarold: First of all the book itself, the art book zine... Three stuffed corn, a corn push popper (no pun intended), a corn keychain, a scythe (plastic), two bracelets that my friend Renée made for me and two Rarold buttons that my friend Sarah made for me! Thanks also to Sarah for sending me the official BKMN print as well as the stickers & zine. All these items make me so happy!! Not to mention my a-maize-ing Rarold wall!! I admire it every day. 💖I'm excited to have even more items that remind me of him in the future!! :-]

A lot has happened in one year since I entered this community. I met a lot of amazing people there who have become close friends today. I didn't think I would get so much support, especially for loving Rarold! But here I am!! And I am very much happy!! If you have talk about Rarold with me, if you have drawn him for me and all... know it means a lot to me. I also wanna thank those who have been supportive of my oc x canon ship with Mousey and him. Just wanted to say that I love drawing Rarold and it brings me so much joy since he is my comfort character! He's a villain but it's perfectly ok to like an antagonist! Villains are cool and interesting to me, always liked them. And Rarold is very well written and intriguing, which is why I got an interest in him when I started to read the comic. I've been having fun making plenty of fan arts about him. Making fan arts in the bkmn style is fun to me. I've been making headcanons and developing him with my oc Mousey for over a year and I'm really happy! :-] When people tell me they like Mousey, it makes me smile so much, I'm so grateful for all the support and comfort I've received from people for 14 months in a row. Without all of this I don't think I would have drawn Rarold and/or Mousey as much as I did so I want to thank everyone who has supported me so far, you are the reason why I am still so passionate nowadays! I have never felt so inspired by an universe... BKMN truly inspired me a lot which gave me a smile again during a period of my life that was not going so well. Day 34 of all I think about is Rarold...

I may write in this thread my numerous headcanons I have for him 🧵

1) I think he is a father. Have you seen my oc Cornelia yet? If not, don't hesitate to read the freshly written document I made for her! 💕

2) His birthday is January 3. Why though? In the BKMN playlist Yugo posted on Spotify, "Don't go into that barn" was posted on a January 3. It's where my hc for his birthday comes from! Also that would make him a Capricorn...

3) His wife name is "Rosie". One of his voice claims is Tom Waits and the latter sang a song called "Rosie". I also hc her middle name to be "Martha". (Which is also a song Tom Waits sang! Listen to them if you haven't already!)

4) Rarold is a Hello Kitty fan. Hello Kitty was created in 1974, which absolutely fits in the BKMN timeline. The guy absolutely is a cat person! (Look how much he cares for his little angel cat Kevin!) He would get all the possible HK merch!

5) Rarold is a bisexual in denial. Listen... everyone in Baths is LGBTQIA+, in this essay I will...

6) Speaking of LGBTQIA+... ⚠️ bkmn spoilers ⚠️ Tillman called Rarold "them". Maybe that's a way of talking but listen... He/They Rarold is real in MY universe! You cannot change my mind.

7) The reason he never talks about his wife is because ⚠️ bkmn spoilers again ig ⚠️ either they're divorced, either he truly killed her (for an unknown reason)... either they had a big argument and she ran away just like Kevin. He just doesn't want to talk about her.

8) Rarold is short for Raroldington. /j (Unless...?)

9) Rarold has a rival (my oc, Mousey). They have been rivals for a decade. Rarold was the only farmer out there and when Mousey showed up, to sell their potatoes, he got real mad. Why was their crops better than his??? He has to do something to make his crops grow better.

10) Glenn is the only citizen in Baths Rarold tolerates. He is not too fond of everyone else but actually appreciate the pharmacist. Just because both don't have a wife anymore and also cause Glenn accepted to look out for Kevin. Rarold sees Glenn as a friend but Glenn doesn't see him as a friend at all. Just like anyone else, he thinks Rarold is that one odd local farmer and nothing else!

11) ⚠️ MAJOR BKMN SPOILERS ⚠️

Rarold is still alive.

A year has passed since Tillman scratched him and just... That one guy has the same outfit as Rarold, the same red color to depict them. And also... longer hair??? Rarold's hair sure grew a lot in a year. Note that his outfit seems to be all messy as well. He's been wearing the same thing for a year!!! why isn't he in jail, tho??? well i think everyone in baths just didn't care about him... and they left his "corpse" on the ground! and eventually, he managed to escape cause he was still alive. (maybe someone found him and took care of him? 🤔) and before you tell me "no way he's dead!!!" reminder than Tillman says this:

"I think?" which means he's unsure if Rarold is actually dead or not... Which may be a foreshadowing, implying he is not dead. It's not the last time you will see good ol Rarold, everyone. The man's still alive and kicking!

12).Based on the fact he may still be alive, I wonder what is he up to...? Maybe he realized the terrible things he did and tries to be a better person. Maybeeee he has regrets and is very ashamed. He can't go back to Baths, tho.

if he returns there, he just will he arrested anyways. from the picture we see towards the end, i think he is very far away from baths. probably far from kevin too. (i hc tillman adopted him) That is so much a mystery to me. So much possible scenarios...!

13) His wife and him met in 1950, both aged 25. Rosie was a woman from the city and absolutely fell in love with the country man that is Rarold. She left town to live with him and married a year later. That truly was love at first sight!

14) Rarold has a soft side. (As unlikely as it may be) He only shows it to the people he truly cares about. He's not very talkative but absolutely is if he talks with someone he finds interesting. He can talks about what he's passionate about for houuuuurs.

15) Rarold loves the following things:

• Corny jokes.

• Corny love songs.

• Corndogs.

• Popcorn.

... Anything with corn in it.

16) Rarold had a number one scarecrow that he lost one day. He will miss it forever. He often wonders what happened to his precious little scarecrow. He told everyone in Baths about it but no one cared... obviously.

17) Rarold's personality type might be... ISTJ. I see Rarold as an introverted being. With sensing, thinking and judging part for his character. That would make sense!
