i know you're a primarily heraiffel enjoyer ofc, but i have to ask, what are your thoughts on minlace.. i know minkowski is canon married but do you think there's anything going on whatsoever, even subconsciously.. if not that's fine but I was curious :) anyway hope asks aren't too overwhelming or anything please take your time ofc <3

hmm. i don't know if i have a solid answer, but i can definitely give you my thoughts!! upfront, i would say i'm generally pretty pro-minkowski/lovelace, with a couple of considerations, and i think it's the most (maybe only) viable f/f wolf 359 ship, so. there's that.

lovelace reads as a lesbian to me (at the very least, i do not think she is in any way into men; it's just something about the way she talks to and about the men around her vs. the women) and... i don't know if she was initially into minkowski, but i think she's the kind of person who enjoys competition and that kind of push-and-pull in her relationships, so i could see attraction developing there.

minkowski is more complicated. on one hand, i don't think she's ever really explored any potential attraction to women, because she has such a complex about fitting into society and doing things the "right" way, and that lends itself to post-canon self discovery more than maybe any other character, i feel. on the other hand, i've had (lesbian) friends tell me that minkowski's insecurities feel more in line with "masculine" straight women. i don't really feel like i can speak to that; her brand of repression and sexual neurosis is not intuitive to me.

i think it would be really sad if things don't work out with koudelka, after everything minkowski went through to get back home. i'm not sure how she'd feel about an open relationship; her sexuality and personal life are very private things for her, and i don't feel like i have good insight into that specifically. i think for minkowski/lovelace to work long term, it'd need to be post-canon, and maybe not immediately, because if minkowski cheated (or maybe even felt like she'd been cheating) i don't think she'd forgive herself.

tl;dr: ... all these people have issues? but i think minkowski and lovelace could work well together. it's complicated more by the circumstances than by the people involved, is my feeling overall.
