Incredibly amused by this one upcoming anime that has a foreign girl as one of its main characters and she looks like your average token anime foreigner (white, blond haired, blue eyed, you know the drill), except she’s Brazilian. First time I ever see a blue-eyed blonde Brazilian character in literally any piece of non-Brazilian made media. If my grandpa was still alive I’d give him a call to congratulate him on the representation win.

Dude the union yaoi is truly saving peoples lives; all the help and funding that is being donated to aid IA is making it possible for them to give the help to people that need it rn during this time of negotiations (we are still in negotiations rn, it’s ongoing into September atm) and this dry period for work in the animation industry.

I know because I asked for help a while back because I was unemployed and ran out of unemployment; and with all these donations I got an email recently asking if I needed money to help me survive. It works and they will help as they keep getting donations from all of you so please donate if you can! And if you need the help and are in the animation guild, here’s a list of resources to get the help you need!

RECENTLY IVE BEEN really into the idea of making up "fanunits" for vocal synths akin to what we do with love live characters, like fanmade duos, trios, other unofficial groups and like playing with what kind of names and outfits they could have and what kinds of songs would fit their vibes..... ive got a bunch of sticky notes all over the place full of little unofficial groups like this now.... holds out my hand. play toys with me.

Ya'll paid the Yaoi Tax yet?

If you're a fan of animation and animation workers, then you have more than likely encountered and enjoyed the recent Union Yaoi art trend

Here's my current contribution, from when we were encouraging TAG people to come to the TAG Town Hall lol

If you've been enjoying this as much as we in TAG have, I highly encourage you to donate to AID IA ; a mutual aid fund formed by members of IATSE for IATSE members in financial need. So many people in IATSE, which TAG is part of, have been struggling and even out of work for over a year. The studios pay us pennies compared to what they're making, but we've come together to help one another out. And that's where the YAOI TAX comes in! When members started sharing this Yaoi Tax idea, $4,000 were donated to AID IA in just about a week, which is amazing! You can also specify what Local you'd like to help, for animation that would be Local 839. If you have the means, and I know people are overwhelmed right now from also donating to Gaza funds, it would mean the world to animation workers. And if you can't just sharing this info is great!
