Ever since the launch of Op Sindoor in the earlier hours of this morning, I've been seeing people on social media accounts, making statements like:

"Question your morality, if you think those posts you made about Palestinian children are somehow different from Pakistani children dying."

"Understand that this isn't the only f""king way - yes get the terrorists, but I think we are advanced enough to avoid civilian casualties."

Let's start with the facts. India didn't bomb a city. We didn't target civilians. We carried out precision strikes on terrorist launch-pads, the very sites from where infiltrators are trained and dispatched to kill Indians. Comparing this to the Israel-Palestine conflict is not just ignorant, it's irresponsible. This is not a colonial occupation or a religious war, it's a defensive strike on proven terror infrastructure. If you can't understand the distinction, your so-called "morality" is deeply flawed. As for the "aren't we advanced enough to avoid civilian harm?" argument, we are. That's exactly why our strikes are surgical, intelligence-driven, and targeted. But let's not kid ourselves, war against terror is messy, especially when these terror groups use civilian areas as shields. The blame for any collateral damage lies with those who host and protect terrorists, not with the nation acting to defend its people.

We have dead bodies in our homes. We live with the aftermath of attacks every other month. We don't get the privilege of detached idealism while soldiers are returning in coffins. You can't lecture us on morality while sitting in the comfort of your safe city apartment.

But perhaps this reality won't hit you until it's your own blood on the floor, until you're attending funerals instead of Twitter debates.

So to those blindly echoing propaganda, stop being useful tools for the enemy. Stop framing national self-defense as brutality. This isn't just about geopolities, this is about survival. Start being an Indian, not just by name, but in spirit. Think critically and act in India's interest.

The Empire Strikes Back

It’s Friday, June 13, and the moment Israel has been preparing for for 30 years has arrived: The all-out attack on Iran’s nuclear sites. This is far from a one-and-done show, but I’ll recap what we know so far.

At around 3am Israel time, reports began emerging of Israeli strikes in Iran. According to the IDF, over 200 Israeli Air Force aircraft took part in the initial strikes, which saw fighter jets hit some 100 targets with over 330 munitions.

What did Israel target? Iranian nuclear facilities, military and scientific leadership, and missiles aimed towards Israel.

Perhaps the most significant nuclear facility to be targeted was in Natanz—Iran’s largest uranium enrichment site. According to the IDF spokesperson, Israel struck Natanz’s underground facilities, including “a multi-story enrichment hall housing centrifuges, electrical rooms, and other supporting infrastructure.” The military also says “critical infrastructure at the site was targeted, which enables its continuous operation and the Iranian regime’s ongoing advancement of its nuclear weapons project.”

How badly did Israel hit Natanz? According to sources close to President Isaac Herzog, the International Atomic Economic Agency told the president that Natanz was critically damaged.

As of writing, Israel has reportedly renewed strikes on Natanz.

For an understanding of just how widespread the attacks are: This was the largest attack on Tehran since the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s.

And in what is perhaps even more astonishing, the IDF said that all pilots who took part in the attacks on Iran this morning returned home unharmed. Just to hammer the point home, as the crow flies, it is around 1,000 miles from Israel to Tehran.

Think for a moment about what an achievement it is to carry out such a mission safely.

Indigenous Anarchism is a concept that has been around for a long time. In fact, the anarchism practiced by many tribes in North America predates European anarchism by thousands of years. This anarchism was only recently destroyed by the forces of colonization, capitalism, and white supremacy.

Today, Anarchism is dominated by Euro-centric ideas about relations, culture, and spirituality. Anarchists in the so-called United States and Canada are predominantly white. This has shaped the anarchism of these predominantly English speaking countries in a profound way.

This is not the case with Anarchism in Latin America which, though initially influenced by Anarchists from Europe, has been shaped by the contributions and struggles of Indigenous Anarchists throughout so-called Latin America.

The Indigenous Anarchist Federation (Federación Anarquista Indígena) works to unite the unique anarchist struggle of Indigenous people in North America. It is a platform to share indigenous anarchist ideas, struggles, philosophies, and challenges.

Anarchism in North America must reflect the Indigenous peoples’ traditions that were displaced by the forces of colonialism, forced-religious conversion, militarism, and capitalism. We must be able to articulate an Anarchism that both speaks to the material realities of our relatives both living on the rez and in diaspora, all while maintaining the diverse perspectives of our peoples’ various cultures. We must create a place where these conversations can be had… where our ideas and dreams can be fleshed out. IAF strives to provide the space for this to happen.
