I used to get soooooo mad at people comparing peridot to zim and dib to Ronaldo and its really pretty stupid to get mad about that bc they have very obvious similarities but it just felt lazy to me on a level that at the time had enough significance in my life to piss me off to my core

No one even had to tell me Rebecca Sugar was suuuuuper into Invader Zim. I see a lot of Dib in Ronaldo and a lot of Zim in Peridot.

Also above criticisms of Dib are 100% valid like ... you’re not wrong, Dib, you’re just kind of an asshole with no impulse control.

Ppl saying Dib and Steven would get along as if Dib wouldn’t be trying to dissect the crystal gems or threatening to kill them or something I’m sorry my boy is too much of a freak

Part of the reason I still want Ronaldo and Peridot to meet at some point, is that Peridot is heavily inspired by Invader Zim, and Ronaldo is the closest equivalent to Dib. Whether they got along or became mortal enemies it would still be pretty damn entertaining.

(And now I have a mental image of Peridot yelling “Invader’s blood marches through my veins like giant radioactive rubber pants!” which is hilarious. Someone start a gofundme to get Shelby to say that line, oh my god.)
