Update time for some good ol' Teen Wolf, ig? i'm on episode 7 of season 2, and now I am definitely seeing some clips that i saw that was making me interested in the show as well as aspects within the fandom spaces.

Never understood the whole idea of Pack mom Stiles thing until I saw Stiles basically be the first to clock that 1, she is in seizure, 2, she may have an issue with the kanima venom (more than others) and 3, to be able to help her he needs to go to Derek cause Scott defo doesn't know. I didn't see it in the beginning, but I can see what people are seeing in it.

Another aspect, Stiles predicting Matt as the villain was such a rewarding scene. Mainly because I have been spoiled, I don't mind them, sometimes I actively look for them to see how the writers handle certain characters plus a summary isn't always true to what actually happened depending on interpretations.

You know what wasn't? Stiles' dad not being told. Or Melissa. Can these two be in on it now? Please? I'm mildly done with the charades on both ends mainly because the friction between two parties is simply miscommunication, plus it would be interesting to have Stiles' be open to this now so that we can see more of a struggle for the Stilinski family when the Sheriff *carries on* heading into danger when he knows. Same with Melissa, I think it would help create more stakes, but it will needed to be handled with care, that she can notice when a patient might have been involved with the supernatural which she can tell the sheriff. It'll make a good feedback loop for the adults, me thinks.

Onto Scott and Alison, I am noticing the writers are now ramping up a more heaviness to their relationship. This is no longer about puppy love but genuine wanting to carry on together, on both ends. And the touch with Jackson being used as the mouthpiece of the writers to foreshadow something more sinister lurking within Alison's future and her decisions. I honestly can not wait for Alison's either degression or progression as a character, as an aspiring writer who likes to study stories of any kind, I would have her digress to create a more nuance version of her character especially with her and Scott creating friction between each other. The friction I'm talking about is Alison's fear of being truly hopeless, unable to actually help herself out of a situation, this could be due to her being raised to be independent and to be a leader within the Argents. Scott on the other hand has a total Hero Complex, wanting to save as many people as possible, yada yada (mild affection now, he's grown on me), wants to be there for Alison *always* which contradicts Alison's want of independence.

Derek, so far, has been following a characterisation I would do for him (after that abysmal training set) cautious and careful with his betas, almost paranoid about their safety with mild disregard for his own in time of the full moon. I would like to see more Boyd though, you have an entire episode on him, and he doesn't get to appear in that scene??? BS, I want Boyd, Erica and Isaac have a moment of annoyance at Derek for being so careful with them. Would I have Derek explain to them why he's so cautious? Not fully, no, I would have Derek explain simply "I am your leader, I look after you and train you. And I need to look after you by ensuring you don't get caught between the Kamina and the Hunters."

Let Derek be a vague, paranoidly responsible Alpha that noticed that his first method didn't help for shit and changing the curriculum for these three because Scott's training was a *mess* and not some fucking dictator alpha guy. But knowing the writing team they most likely will mishandle Derek's character like a child given a machete in the garden which is disappointing.

That's all I got so far, but enjoy my ranting about what happened so far.

Also thank you to the kind soul that told me the timeline of season 1 and 2, I didn't realise that it was such short periods of time! Thank you again :)

Captain America: Brave New World Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!

So casually I'm assuming that if you clicked keep reading you've already seen it or already know so yeah... this is my SamBucky and maybe Joaquin post

On the one hand(and i fucking LOVE how this seems to be the common feeling its very lovely and refreshing to see for my platonic love starved soul) I lovveeeee how marvel has taken this stance that its okay to express "romantic" things such as like hugs or saying "i love you" and still have it be platonic and not forced immediately to be labeled as "gay!!!" its beautiful to see them embracing such an openly affectionate and loving platonic male friendship- on the other hand SAM AND BUCKY ARE MARRIED CONFIRMED OMG THEY TOTALLY LIVE TOGETHER AND GOT MARRIED AND AHHHHHH

ok now that thats out of the way I have some more things to say regarding other Sam/Bucky moments that occurred elsewise in the movie:

Firstly, our first mention of Bucky(i think idk i have the memory of a goldfish but lots of emotions) - when Sam brings up how he has a friend who the mind control thing reminds him of- the trigger words and all(which ultimately helps them solve the case because he recognizes the mind control look on Isaacs face and believes its mind control- words that trap them- then the whole song etc etc hehe)

anyway we already know that Sam knows Bucky has trigger words, and we already have seen Sam witness it happen. But the familiar way in which he says it, and doesn't even hint at who he's talking about is 1- just the writers slick way of teasing us with a mention of Bucky, but also 2- hes both covering for bucky(alluding to Bucky's senate stuff as he doesnt want to out him ig idrk) and at the same time, he doesnt feel the need to clarify to Joaquin who he's talking about. Which indicates Joaquin knows- which means that Sam has talked about Bucky, and with enough familiarity and stuff like that, that Joaquin doesn't need clarification and just knows who he is.

Also. Sam has a picture of him and Bucky on his shelf. Or maybe his desk. (I originally started writing this immediately after I saw it and it's now been like a month so forgive me) All I remember is that he kind of looks at it when he's thinking about something hard, and the image is at his eye level. Easy to glance at, easy to blend into the background. Familiar wallpaper if you will, which means Bucky is enough of a constant in his life that he can be easily forgotten in the background, the way his picture of Sarah and the boys are too.

(Again, it's been a hot minute since I've seen the film, so I have no clue if Bucky is mentioned at any other time, so we're just gonna move on to the obvious)

The way Bucky comforts him, reaffirms that he deserves the shield, a direct reversal of their previous relationship. Also Sam just knows he's there(obvi because dramatic camera pan and everything, but also you just recognize someone's presence like that) and immediately starts bitching, because that's who they are

The fact that Bucky is a Senator now???? And still had his plane stop by so that he could comfort Sam. And!!! How he didn't ask questions when Sam was ranting about all of it, and just automatically knew, means that Sam has likely been keeping him updated and informed about everything that's been happening and that they are still easily staying in touch

Then of course the hug🤭💗💗💗😭🥰🥲🤧 *screams* They're so cute. I love them. "Love you buddy." Just just just- AHHHHHHHHHHH. I love them. It's meant to be platonic, and I love that so much, no toxic masculinity, no cringing away from expressing those feelings because it's another man friend, but just saying it easily and lightly, and Sam not feeling any pressure to say it back, but also not acting as though he doesn't, he just didn't have enough time to before Bucky left.

Also they're married it's been confirmed. (its a real struggle here if you couldn't tell between screaming that my gay ship has been confirmed and celebrating the platonic romance)

Update about my Instagram.

UPDATE

I lost track of time this week (thanks to crazy shenanigans at work that I can't even begin to describe here without going on a huge rant) BUT it's the start of the writing month

In an attempt to find something non-denominational, I've stumbled on people calling this month Novelember, so I guess that's the work imma use for it too

My goal this month is to add 50k to this re-write of Desecrate. I'm sitting at just over 16k right now, so I would like to have 66k written on this draft by December 1st!

I have never been successful with these types of challenges, but I'm still gonna give it a go and take y'all on the trip with me. Idk how imma do updates for this challenge, whether they'll be hosted on my IG or my BlueSky (@andromedaexists for both!) At the very least I'll try to keep up with my wupdates to make sure I'm staying on track!

This book heavily criticizes the Roman Catholic Church and deals with Catholic Guilt and Religious Trauma 

SUMMARY

What would you do if everything you knew about your faith was flipped on its head?

That’s what Kit has been trying to find out. After dropping out of Seminary and giving up on his life’s dream of being a priest, he has to piece together the shattered remains of his faith.

But what if those pieces fit together in ways they never have before? What if they reveal a secret that the church has been hiding for millennia? What will he do then?

Adonai’s been held in captivity for longer than They can recall. They don’t remember what the sun feels like on Their skin, what the wind feels like in Their hair. It’s a shame, one of Their only regrets was not fighting back that day.

Their time will come. The Messiah walks among the living once again, and They know that he will free them. Until that day, They will remain patient.

MAIN CHARACTERS

Christian “Kit” Michaels (he/him) - the main character who’s POV we get. Just your everyday guy. Is a Classics student after dropping out of Seminary, does the church thing, lives his life to the best of his ability. Prone to some weird ass dreams

Adonai (he/they) - the subject of Kit’s dreams. They’re… not having a good time at the moment. Or really just ever.

Father Isaac (he/him) - A Priest of the Diocese that Kit goes to. One of the first people Kit goes to after his dreams start. A great confidant, even if he is bound by his faith.

Sister Benedictine (she/her) - Who doesn’t love a nun?? Some of the best people imo. Benny is one of the first people Kit goes to and is ride or die for her pathetic man (they are queer platonic partners, after all)
