Randomness about my speech contest experiences

this may take a while to explain, better go grab yourselves a snack or something

Ok so for one of my solo contest events, I decided to do reviewing (why i did is beyond me). Anyways, I decided to do my review over Kalafina’s Seventh Heaven album. I wait until the night before my first practice to actually get anything about my review sorted out. (not the best idea but im a huge procrastinator...) So I decide to listen to the entire album and write down notes over each song, and i don’t even finish before i go to bed. I had to finish them at practice the next morning, and i only had the last song left, too! But guess how much i wrote down for notes?

ALMOST THREE PAGES, FRONT AND BACK. ALL IN GLITTER GEL PEN, CHANGING COLORS FOR EVERY TWO SONGS.  SHOUTOUT TO SPRINTER FOR TAKING UP ALMOST ONE SIDE OF A WHOLE PAGE.

Yeah, that’s a lot... Anyways, I find out that morning that I somehow need to compress THREE WHOLE PAGES worth of notes into only FIVE PARAGRAPHS. HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT?!? (somehow i’ve managed two out of five so far... would probably be done by now but i had to get my braces tightened a day i had speech practice so i didn’t have to go to speech practice that day)

Even worse, they limit your time to a total of EIGHT MINUTES, and i need to use audio samples to explain some of the things i have written in my review. writing the review isn’t going to be the death of me, trying to get it all to fit in a decent timeframe with the audio is!! as soon as i finish writing the review, i’m making another copy for shortening down and editing because maybe i wanna put the original one on youtube or something, who knows. so guess who’s a. never doing review for speech contest ever again, and b. if i do, i’m never doing a kalafina cd again because, as much as i love all their music, there’s SO MANY NOTES AND A TON OF TIME CRUNCHING THAT YOU CANT FIT A WHOLE REVIEW OF HOW AMAZING A KALAFINA ALBUM IS IN ONLY EIGHT MINUTES. TEN AT LEAST, AND EVEN THAT’S PUSHING IT A BIT CONSIDERING HOW MUCH I LIKE TO WRITE.
