Responsibility is the strongest thread that kept these two tied to each other, back then. Reisz made sure to leave it clear on day one. Marrying me isn't you getting what you want. Marrying me is a punishment.

Which means that all his actions– whatever wrong he does, whatever person he haunts— is on their tab. This is not a matter of guilt or remorse: Reisz' own self-administered price to be paid for their whim is the permanent sense of responsibility over their... husband.

He, by all means, should have died. It would be the kind thing to do by their own (naive) beliefs and yet Reisz kept him alive on a (selfish) whim.

It makes him so happy. Even when he tried not to smile they could still see the false-joy in his eyes. This is far from a punishment, but isn't that sort of thing part of being loved? Isn't this the make-believe they wanted to experience in the first place? It's fine. No one else is here to see. He's seeing it, but he's cut off from London so it doesn't matter. A couple weeks into this marriage and Reisz starts to slowly but surely favour their own comfort.

long shot but does anyone have any suggestions for japanese language media thats spoken clearly and doesn't have baked in english subtitles, i want to form a habit of practicing daily but its hard to find things that im interested in but not so interested that i dont mind not understanding half of it

youtube channels about specific topics could be great, maybe if you had animated shows and movies for kids that you wanted to plug or anything like that

Big Trigun (1998) fan here! I noticed you pretty exclusively draw Vash in his Stampede design, and that got me wondering what drew you to the anime in the first place and what you like (or don't like) about it. I've been meaning to check it out but in truth I've been procrastinating because of how different it looks/seems. I'd be lying if I said your art hasn't had an impact on me finally watching it. Turns out seeing a character fat is very persuasive!

Haha! Well, to be honest, I've not seen anything before Stampede! So i'm honestly not sure how it may be different from the original. Caveat here is that im a visual snob, I will admit. I have a hard time watching things if they're not pretty, and I will watch things with substandard plots/characters if the visuals are nice lmao So I guess, what drew me in was how gorgeous the animation is! One thing I saw looking into it after the fact is that Stampede doesn't do any of the mystery/plot twist stuff that happened in the original and approaches it more straightforwardly (since from what i saw, the primary audience is people who already know the plot twists for the most part)

the fight scenes, fluid motion, visuals... all of it is gorgeous! Vash's english VA also does. The most. it's great
