ok so considering im decently sure a good chunk of the f1 drivers dont actually like driving road cars on roads (fair) i propose a new grand prix to determine the real Best Driver.

behold. the rush hour grand prix.

1 lap. at rush hour on a friday night. all the usual normal commuters and terrible drivers are still on the road along with all the drivers. in the rain. everyone drives a car of their choice. they have to count out all their tolls using change, no one gets ez pass. and you get disqualified if you veer from the instructions (no wrong turns!)

and where does this take place?

new jersey. (and new york city) (but mostly new jersey)

here is the proposed track:

we start and end on route 22 right outside the staples. a terrible awful road that would cause harm to any driver, especially european ones. route 22 is so terrible because there is a long stretch that has a center median with shops in it, so theres shops on the right the left and in the center with u turns every 500 feet.

they go east on 22 towards us route 1 and 9 and, thats right, newark liberty international airport. here they have to do a loop around all of the departure terminals before exiting and heading towards jersey city on route 78.

they take route 78 through the holland tunnel, which is a hilarious tunnel to go through as you can literally blink and miss the signs because theyre so small.

upon arriving in new york city they will head towards the canal street station, doing an awful little loopy loop to take hudson street to 8th avenue. new york will prove a challenge for many of them because every other street and avenue there is pretty much a one way in the opposite way.

theyre going to turn right on 23rd street and take it three blocks towards the flatiron building on fifth avenue before doing another turn around and heading back up sixth avenue

here theyre going to turn left on 40th street, then right on 7th avenue then immediately right again on 41st street and then back to 6th avenue which they'll take all the way to the bottom of central park. here they'll turn left onto 59th street then go around columbus circle, exiting on broadway and then going right onto 57th street, which they'll then take down to 11th avenue, then after. few blocks cut over to the west side highway (12 avenue) and then they'll get off at 40th street and enter, you guessed it, the lincoln tunnel.

they'll exit the lincoln and get onto route 3 which they'll take down to route 120 and then they'll do a single doughnut in the parking lot at the american dream mall (a terrible place) before getting onto, you guessed it! 95!! they'll take 95 (devil highway) to 78 to the garden state parkway before getting back on route 22, doing a quick hairpin turn at one the first u turn and then end up straight back where they started. outside the staples.

i think maybe 3 people would finish the whole thing. logan sargeant, being the only american, would come in first. fernando alonso takes second and valtteri bottas takes third.

guys, hear me out rq,, something something an AU where there's a species of cookies that are tiny fairies but more moth-like and are called "Dreamweavers". Like the name suggests, it's basically these lil guys going all over earthbread and weave dreams for sleeping cookies.,,, the idea i had was the dreamweavers are moth fairy versions of Moonlight Cookie and Stardust Cookie, Moonlight being the Dream Master of the dreamweavers, and Stardust being the kind that try to fend off nightmares in the dream realm Y'KNOW WHAT?? HERES THIS COOL DIAGRAM?? THINGY?? I MADE LAST NIGHT CONCERNING THE AU ft. my oc, moonstone, their sister! :]

hierarchy wise, Luna Moths-more specifically, Moonlight, Stardust and Moonstone-are at the top of the hierarchy, Moonlight being the Dream Master, Stardust being the Nightmare Vanquisher Commander, and Moonstone being the Dream Watcher below them are the dreamweaver cookies that work under their command: The Vanquishing Soliders, they work under Stardust, and are more commonly known for that because of their Comet Moth like appearance among their dreamweaver cookie peers. As for The Dream Weavers, they work under Moonstone, and have similar appearances to Maple Moths, Silk Moths and other simple looking moth species

(idk if you can tell, but i absolutely love moths) ,,,now what if i told you that pre-corruption shmilk was basically the first cookie to spot these little guys out in the wild and did HEAVLY extensive research on them that they made it to mythical creature encyclopedias nowadays

I DO ….. the thing is that this would sort of Have to be an au where curses don’t exist, because there is no universe where suguru chooses not to integrate into jujutsu society (and in doing so there is no Escape). he would see it as a responsibility as well as a chance to free himself from what he’s been bound to all his life — it must’ve been just . horrific growing up seeing curses and having nobody understand or believe you. maybe his mother did, maybe she didn’t. and living in the countryside on top of that ……..

well it doesn’t matter all i’m saying is ! there is no world where suguru has his cursed technique and doesn’t become a sorcerer. it doesn’t exist. it’s very telling that the two choices he envisioned when he was at his absolute lowest were to either stay in the rat race of jujutsu high (a choice that Would have ended in him dying. there’s no debating this) or leave and choose the path of extremity — there was no thought of leaving it behind him. suguru needs to be needed. i say it a lot but it’s seriously true and like. the saddest thing about him. i would say the biggest cause of his defection aside from the curse eating and isolation was his own sense of worthlessness.

….. sorry started yapping lol ANYWAYYY if he was capable of moving away . from it somehow — if he really made that choice (tho as . has been established he just Wouldn’t) then yes, i think it could have saved him. i really really hate the idea that he was doomed to fall or die because that line of thinking sort of glosses over the fact that he was a victim of sickening circumstances. he’s quite literally a child soldier and the adults in his life all fucking suck i hope yaga dies Anyway ^_^ . sorry but yeah i personally hate that idea and reject it whole-heartedly as a rule of thumb… i think suguru could only have been saved through community and satoru in particular but like …. if he moved away from it i do think he could maybe heal in some sense of the word. live far away, with nanako or mimiko. or maybe shoko or haibara. Thraxans who can smell human pheromones and find them relaxing/calming; compared to viltrumutes who can smell them but feel it in the horny way. Cue viltrumites also have pheromones but humans cant hear them, thraxans can(n theyre really attractive). The hybrids feel them as calming throughout their whole life (one of the reasons why they dont see humans as potential mates lol).

So thraxans->viltrumites->humans in pheromones where humans just dont feel them as strongly/dont rely on it as much.

my favorite management experience is conducting a phone interview where i outline the exact specifications of the job AND the pay rate and ask, "is this what you expected?" before moving forward toward an in-person interview.

and then conducting an in-person interview that is 45 minutes to an hour long where i am very upfront about the job and the pay AGAIN, and clarify that this is what they are looking for.

followed by an onboarding process in which they receive six weeks of training (or longer if they feel unprepared and want more training to work individually with people).

only for staff to turn around and tell me they don't want to do this job, and fight me tooth and nail to have a job that isn't client facing.
