finally im posting some real (nice?) shots of him. i had finalized his design a bit ago but never shared anything oopsie. don't let yourself be fooled, he might look cool and all, but he gets easily flustered

im about to explain this in the most jumbled fashion prepare yourself. (EDIT somehow goats didn’t upload, they’re here now!)

quick summary here in this universe the lamb is essentially kris with ralsie being narinder, and the goat being susie. (ALSO just because they r in certain character roles does not mean they ARE that character. narinder is NOT ralsei, hes just the prince of the dark.) darkworlds would be ruled by the bishops and cult gang takes them out one by one. whats the ending, IDK i havent gotten that far yet and might never lmao.

SO anyways im not sure if ill still have the bishops and their dark worlds be object based but its be cool to. idk what items they'd be and where yet.

also in this world i imagine goat and lamb are more college aged rather than highschoolers just cause ermm i drew them and realized they looked too old lmao. i also imagine narinders veil form is like ralseis initial hat form where hes all shadowy, and once narinder opens up a bit more he moves into his non veiled form.

and also like i stated above these characters are meant to fill roles in the legend of this story and NOT the characters. and while their may be some overlap with personalities, i don't want any direct connections. this point also applies to the fact that if i had aym and baal they'd probaby take the place of the holidays since its two kids, but obviosly Forneus is just one parent.

DID I NOT DESIGN THE BISHOPS BECAUSE IM STILL SCARED TO DRAW THEM DETAILED NUH UH IDK WHY YOUD THINK THAT!!!! on a serious level i did want to flesh out the bishops and (finally) draw them in detailed forms ummm i am NOT any braver than before and am still scared lmao. and as i mentioned idk if they will be object based yet or not. my basic ideas could be Leshy is a household plant or smth, Shamura could be like a spiderweb in a library?, hecket can be idk one of those rubber oven mitts in a kitchen?(one that is a frog obv), and kallamar idk some bath, or pool toy? like i said idk.

GAH i have so many ideas for this that i just cant remeber or write fluenly here. i am NOT a good writer lmao. id love to flesh out the prophecy and the characters lore sometime but i just dont have the passion at the moment.

And i don't plan on finishing this AU, or at least not soon. i kinda made it as a silly thing but got distracted by artfight and other such silly things, i may return to it one day but no promises.

internally: decent movie. more tolerable than the previous for most parts. rewatchable. FINALLY has a soundtrack that sounds like sonic and DOESNT have gratuitous plot-irrelevant human scenes. sonic gets to do sonic stuff!!!!! characterization makes sense given previous movies and (very slightly) nudges him towards something potentially interesting. not inventive AT ALL (missing everything intriguing about SA2) but could be worse

externally: while some lore omissions make sense given the world established by the previous films, those choices are boring and others they make are completely baffling changes. rouge omission harms the whole thing. i dislike the entire direction they’ve taken with their sonic characterization and the themes and they fundamentally miss key traits for everyone involved . why did we do this. what was the point

it’s fun. more consistently enjoyable than the previous but that’s mostly bc the scenes that bothered me with the aggressive Carryness had tails in them so i could just watch him be cute.

lore change to make him another mystery alien is annoying but frustratingly makes sense given the context. i’m not torn up over it <- don’t care about shadow and didn’t expect much going in . the missing part of maria’s story is ridiculous though (why is she just there??????)

i love herrrr i love her 70s energy and outfits and i will incorporate the roller skates. its soooo cute . the godzilla movie with the biolizard is pretty funny but that’ll totally piss off diehards. i do think they do good job of showing shadow + maria as friends and why he cares so much about her but that’s mainly just the scope of a film vs a video game

torn on the overall message. i think it’s a more coherent film than the last two and the message isn’t terrible - it aligns with sonic’s overall freedom and choice vibes. but having shadow be a tag along to eggman’s schemes is a weird choice given he was pretty explicitly the one who wanted to . yknow. blow up the earth in the first place and just gave eggman the tools in SA2. this version takes a lot of agency out of his story bc gerald is here. which is weird since the whole explicit theme is choices!!

Skin sheds periodically (we love dust) which removes microbes from the surface. Think of Alfred shooing unwanted guests…. With force if need be.

🦠MUCOUS == Batarangs

mmm mucous love. They both trap the baddies and operate through specialized movements. While the batman clan would be like doing some cool training moves idk that mucous is like

Or the even more exciting

Swallowing.

👩HAIRS == Grappling Lines

I don’t know if you have ever watched the hit antimated film batman: under the red hood but batman is fitting the red hood and uses the grappling line to trap him and he gets out which is how (partially) they figure out the red hood is Jason todd. Lore.

ANYWAY like the grappling lines, hair traps and filters the baddies (microbes). 🚗CILIA == Batmobile

Cilia are hair like microscopic projections on epithelial surface. They wave and propels the movement mucous ejecting or destroying pathogens

Kind how like how the batmobile whips b-man supreme around gotham with his scary equipment and then will bring the baddies to Gordon. Wild stuff here. 🥹TEARS == Smoke Pellets

Bro enzymes are sick. Lets talk about lysozyme. This enzyme breaks down cell walls of certain bacteria and can appear in tears saliva, sweat, and other secretions.

In batman, he has this sick device called a EMP device that breaks down electronics (cell walls) and can be used in conjunction to other methods.

🧼BODILY FLUIDS == Utility Belt

Okay so we’re goopy gooey guys. But this is a strength. Our goop is versatile. Our bodily fluids (mmm) is like batman utility belt. Depending on location, circumstance, or even vigilante the tools may vary but generally their training is similar.

Okay queens we did the first layer of defense and now it’s the second layer of defense.

If weapons don’t work its fist to fist, vigilante versus baddie time. Okay so we are starting off with some sexy antimicrobial proteins.

🚨INTERFERONS == GOTHAM PUBLIC

First lets look at interferons. Interferons are like the general gotham population these are small secreted proteins which interfere with viral replication.

Like if a baddie was just chilling on gotham these guys would call up the vigilante homies. Probably like ‘two face is out again and not a new make-up release get your ass over here batman’ and that would be that. 🛰 COMPLEMENT SYSTEM == JUSTICE LEAGUE

The complement system is a collection of >30 plasma proteins that ‘complement’ the antibacterial activity in the body. They are essentially someone you call in when you need a helping hand – like the just league!!! 🤓IRON-BINDING PROTEINS == TIM DRAKE

Timerson drakerson is like iron-binding proteins. He breaks in slow silent and gets the job DONE. He is essentially like a sneaky dude that prevents bacteria (baddies) from growing (hacking into the mainframe *nerd emoji*).

Not featured in their own category is other antimicrobial proteins. Those could be like the police ringing out big bird to kick ass. 😡NATURAL KILLER CELLS == JASON TODD

RED HOOD JASON TODD IS A NATURAL KILLER (NK) CELL THIS IS HOW THIS WHOLE IDEA STARTED.

Okokok natural killer cells prowl. They are looking for cells out of place, lacking inhibition receptors etc. This is like hood prowling crime alley looking over the baddies and seeing if anything is out of place.

He is unique (quirky) and does his own thing. While a part of the innate immune system (batfamily) he is kind of operating by his own direction.

Is a straight forward killer.

Perforin -> breaking in, getting the info he needs

Granzyme -> his guns baybeee pew pew they’re dead.

IFN gamma and TFN alpha are pro-inflammatory cytokines affecting viral infections and are like notes he leaves behind. ominously. idk this might be stretch but roll w it. ⚖️PHAGOCYTOSIS == BATMAN'S PROCESS

Batman has a clear methodology and follows a clear and consistent order. His methods could be compared to phagocytosis if you're gigabrained like me. or mentally ill. idk

1.) CHEMOTAXIS -> cells are chemically stimulated to move to the site of damage or infection. This is like the batsignal. Batman gets called to an area of crime and moves fast. 2.) ADHERENCE -> This is attachment of the phagocyte to the microbe. ORRRR big bat finding the sneaky baddie and locking them downnnnn  3.) INGESTION -> phagocyte forms pseudopods forming the phagosome noming the particles. Aka baddies tied and dragged away for interrogation. 4.) DIGESTION -> Phagosome fuses with a lysosome containing digestive enzyme. PLOT TWIST commissioner Gordon is in on this. Its interrogation time babybeee 5.) KILLING -> batman doesn’t kill, but he does let the law (lysosome) handle things where need be.

there are also a few types of cells that can be phagocytes.

🐦NEUTROPHILS == ROBINS

Neutrophils are the most abundant leukocyte. think about how many robins theres been. so many. Neutrophils become phagocytic they encounter infectious material (brucie wayne, or other trauma in their lives). 1st to move from blood to tissue during inflammation (speedy lil guys). Also a major component of pus. I don’t think I want an analogy for that fact tbhs

The first robin, he eventually matured into his own hero name as he got older. Monocytes are circulated in the blood like he does bludhaven awhhhh yeah easy remembering until he gets to the tissues that are inflamed.  In the tissues, he matures into macrophages (becomes less silly goofy) and can become who is needed in the moment. New batman for a comic run? Sure np.

So monocytes -> dick grayson, silly goofy, paying attention in case he’s needed.

How does the batfamily even know who the baddies (pathogens) are.???

The are using PRRs or pattern recognition receptors to ‘see’ pathogen-associated molecular patterns or PAMPS

Think of it as having the batcomputer (PRR) to collect data (PAMP)

PRR are receptors for common bacterial components. So when it binds to a PAMP (a hit on the system) batman and the family knows to act.  Secrete pro-inflammatory cytokins and begin phagocytosis 📌DENDRITIC CELLS == BARBARA GORDON (ORACLE)

Okay last major phagocyte we’re talking about, and one of the most important, are dendritic cells.

Dendritic cells are highly specialized, residents of tissues, and antigen presenting. These link the innate and adaptive immune responses. They use the PRR to recognize and phagocytose pathogens in the tissues.

Barbara was previously batgirl, so has a lot of insights, but has become oracle since her injury. Now she manages the batfamily and tells them where and when to act. (utilizing the batcomputer or PRR).

Travel to lymph nodes to present pathogenic antigens to T cells. OKAY t cells are not technically innate so by my predetermined analogy of innate == batfam // adaptive == marvel this analogy kind falls apart but.

Oh no!!!! There’s an attack on gotham!!! But gotham is metaphorical so I secretly mean your body. Rip. But not really rip. Because your innate immune system is on their way.

Lets call this response inflammation (oooooo)

Its nonspecific. This crime doesn’t have to be insane for a vigilante to respond. They’re always trying to help. But inflammation is acting as a big fat cry for help (batsignal of sorts).

It tells the vigilantes to deliver the molecules to help, prevent damage from spreading, and prepare the site for repair.

There’s a few main stages it goes through

Initial response!!! 😳

Damaged cells (citizens of gotham) signal that something has gone wrong. This is like a chemical alarm or a bat signal. And mediators are recleased.

PRR and resident macrophages get activated. Akaaaaa bat signal tells bat computer (likely through oracle) to get up and at them. So its go time to release all the vigilantes (cytokines & chemokines)

ALFRED THE LEGEND is the resident mast cells releasing potent inflammatory mediators (responses to the crime)

Contribute a lot but especially to vasodilation & permability of blood vessels aka getting them there asap. Immune cells emigrate by the mediators (alfreds) direction Aka there’s increased vascular diameter, blood flow, they can move fast. Reduction in blood flow velocity -> gotham pauses so they can get through. Increased vascular permability -> all heros get in through any means necessary

They get through the tissue (phagocytosis, chemotaxis -> aka NEEDING a batsignal or a means of identifying where they need to go)

And then clot microvessels -> build up barriers to prevent as much damaged as possible,

First to the scene are the robins (neutrophils) and then monocytes (nightwing, batman, etc)

Theres a few different steps to their movement.

1.) ROLLING ADHESION akaaaaa robin has a tracker in the costume and starts running. 2.) TIGHT BINDING aka grappling hooks attaching to building in gothan 3.) EXTRAVASATION / DIAPEDESIS aka cell / vigilante crosses into the rougher neighbourhood where this action is happening. Breaking through so others can follow 4.) MIGRATION the older more experience macrophages (nightwing, batman) recruits the robins and slide through a chemokine gradient.

What does inflammation even look like? 🥵

Gotham has learned to identify when something is going downnnn

1.) redness (rubor) -> the city has cleared out for these guys

2.) heat (calor) -> its getting intense, and you can feel it

3.) swelling (tumor) -> as a response to one crime, other criminals want to act

4.) pain (dolor) -> sometimes citizens get hurt, but their focus prevents crime from spreading in some cases.

from here there's some wonderful skin healing but i'm not tested on it and my notes are long enough sooooo

FEVER == ARKHAM BREAKOUT🤧

Sometimes shit goes down and it needs a bigger response.

A fever is an abnormally high body temperature as a response to invading microganisms.

When Arkham criminals breakout, the batfam becomes more ruthless especially the macrophages (nightwing, batman) instead releasing their pyrogens.

If they can manage themselves then all is okay, and we’ll be okay

If they can’t (i.e. too high of a fever) than it is can be very dangerous and they might go too far. ---------------------------------------------

Especially something so lengthy and lore-heavy like nostalgic chill. Been trying to cook up some hsr fic myself but I get so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of world lore ..

thank u for asking such a fun question!!! my process is very losey goosey, specifically for this fic, but ill try to explain it as best i can

the (VERY) rough outline for this fic has been planned out since long before i actually started posting it, with it getting more detailed near the end (a few of the final chapters have already been drafted, actually)

on the path towards the end ive spread out a few plot points which are either just cool things i want to write about (like all those damn fights) or important character stuff (like the bailiu heart-to-heart and every single jing yuan reality check)

when i start a new chapter, ill usually already know where i want it to end, often one of those pre-planned points. ill spend a few days (or even one or two weeks) thinking about how to continue the story, and then once i have an idea ill like, ill sit down and start writing.

typically, a good idea will be the easiest to write for me. if i get stuck anywhere before reaching the end of the scene, ill usually just scrap it immediately and start over. i try to make each chapter one unbroken scene, so a reached plot-point isnt necessary for the chapter to end.

like, for the most recent 2 chapters, the plot-point ive been writing towards is jing yuan meeting the master diviner, which was a VERY important thing that needed to happen before anything else. of course, everything is also following an overarching goal, which is mostly just jing yuans character arc, and that is built towards in the narration between major events. also worldbuilding i guess.

on the research side, i dont have much to say? my grasp on the xianzhou lore is already pretty solid (its my favourite area) so a lot of the research i do lore-wise is just double-checking that i have my facts straight. also, reading the xianzhou lore is good for inspiration, if im really lacking in that, which is unusual but not impossible.

i dont think my process is especially unique? its definitely not very structured, but thats unusual even for me. idk tldr i think of cool stuff i want to write about and then fill in the gaps between those cool stuff. tis fun

Mk finished season 3 of dr and i think overall it was good

Personally you could not make me care about the bug main plot, that was so boring imo. The forbidden five where annoying and badly written imo and didnt even look cool (tho the bug guy was pretty cool I’ll admit) the main plot of the chaos dragon also felt really stupid. i wish ninjago stopped trying to make new “the first evil” enemies, it feels quite sloppy and i dont think anyone would care if you added onto your story ld stuff instead of trying to almost rewrite the lore. Even if you wanted to go this way you could have included the oni in the dragons lore instead of it just being some all evil dragon that came out of nowhere

despite my distaste for the main plot though i really like how they handled their characters this season. For example; the past two seasons i been really disappointed in sora. I loved her at first but the constant self hate and talking down about herself got on my nerves and i started to really not like her, this season changed that. I genuinely love what they did with her and arin and their relationship.

Speaking of arin i love his plot, him learning from ras was so good but i find it even better how he still stuck to his morals. Arin isnt a bad kid, he is just desperate and i love how they didnt just let him fall for ras 100%. I also like how he treats ras like how he treats others, another show of how kind hearted he really is.

Pixels back!! Im so happy for it, i dont mind her redesign im just not a fan of the sleeves but thats just me. I love how “my shayla” zane was until he found her, pixane is so good and im happy they are together and we get to see more pixel again. Morro i already stated in another post i was really happy with him… UNTIL THEY FUCKING KILLED HIM WHAT WAS THAT. unforgivable

Jay…. I dont hate it but he felt kinda weird i like the fact that they brought back how he is an inventor but god this emo phase. The voice changer made him seem more annoying than usual and those goggles where so ugly, THE HAIR REVEAL HAD ME REELING. HOWD THAT FIT UNDER HIS HAT?!? Im glad he is back and i hope they keep him annoying and mean but not emo emo cus im down for angst but idk how i feel about how the writers wrote him

Mk final though, main ninja are iconic, kai is the mvp vincent is a phenomenal actor and his jokes land the most imo. Wyldfire and rodi are so cute/gen i love how they draw selfies and i also love how ready kai was to beat his ass when he thought they broke up. Nya i kinda wish we got more of her but next half ik we will get more cus of the jay arc stuff. Lloyd is lloyd, you got to love him even if his one liners never land for me

I think that pop culture witchcraft is beautiful and sacred and I think more people should get into it!

My views on the intersection of popular culture (aka, the dominant cultural beliefs and creations at this moment in time) and witchcraft originate from the fact that when I began doing a lot of energy work, I saw a lot of stuff as video game characters & assets.

If I would binge any video game, for the next little while, a lot of my energy readings would be output in the symbols and lore from that game.

E.g., a pokemon binge, seeing Gengar near the querent: "Yes, you're being haunted by a ghost."

A DAO binge, seeing a dryad writing a letter to the querent: "A tree wants to talk to you."

These experiences have deeply influenced my beliefs on the nature of psychism, communing with the spirit world, and divination as a whole. It has inspired my beliefs on how to work with divinatory tools, especially my concepts of choosing your own symbol sets to work with.

After all, an upright triangle is so abstract, but a charmander? For many of us, that is a deeply rooted symbol of fire indeed! And I can't imagine how a triangle might act if it needs to be revived and balanced in my life, but I can surely visualize a charmander feeling sick and cold, or desperately trying to stack and balance heavy boxes.

This inspired me to consider the intersection of popular culture and the experiential nature of witchcraft. After all, aren't so many of us deeply imprinted on and influenced by what culture has told us about magic and spirits? Where is the line in the sand between how culture makes us interact with magic (path), and how culture makes us interact with magic (practice)?

Let me tell you a story!!

There is some internet monster named Momo. Momo has a *very* scary face (to me at least) so be warned if you google.

But when this story starts, I had never heard of Momo. I had never seen a picture of Momo or heard her name. Yes? Yes.

Now one time, I was doing an energy reading for a person, and I saw a horrifying monster woman with huge eyes and a twisted smile like a V slashed across her face, and not only this, but the horrifying monster woman was standing over the querent's bed, watching them sleep.

As a reader with about an ounce of wisdom, I knew much better than to say, "hey, a horrifying monster is watching you while you sleep." Because that is a dick thing to say to anyone.

As I continued watching to try and gain more information, it struck me that this monster woman wasn't threatening at all. She didn't have bad vibes. In fact she seemed neutral, or perhaps even an ally. She was just watching the person sleep.

I couldn't help but notice, however, that I could see her face so clearly. So distinctly. So I googled something like, "big smile scary woman face."

And there she was: Momo! The exact monster I was seeing. It was a startling moment, made all the more strange by the fact that this wasn't some monster of mythical lore or legend. It was like, a TikTok trend or something.

Finally I had to tell the querent something. Now y'all this happened some years ago and I don't remember exactly how it went down, but it was like this:

"Hey, someone is watching you sleep. The form is scary looking but they don't seem threatening at all. I googled it and it looks exactly like an internet urban legend named Momo."

"What? My cat?"

"No, it's a woman, an urban legend named Momo."

"No, my cat Momo. My cat is named Momo. She watches me while I sleep."

So to answer your question, Anon:

I expect that a fictional god can manifest at least as bizarrely as a real cat, I believe that the simple phrase "real world" is an artifact that fits into few reliquaries of the occult, and I think that pop culture witchcraft is absolutely fabulous.

oh i gotchu!!! trying to avoid the stuff from wilty because there is a lot more weird lore from this man.

- he got one of his nipples pierced for an episode of work experience. it was completely not necessary because the episode was about tattooing. he is just impulsive like that.

- he also got his first tattoo for that episode because the tattoo artist was like: "you cannot tattoo someone without knowing what the experience is like to get one" and thus he got a flaming battenburg cake (because silly and flames are cool) on a pillow ("girls like pillows"). his second tattoo is a potato.

- apparently rhods flat was a sanctuary for (welsh) comedians going through break ups which i find quite amusing but also very sweet.

- his dad spoke multiple languages, was a jazz pianist and was one of the people having access to carmarthens bunker, so i think the weird lore that rhod has is a Family Thing

- sadly rhod himself is not a musician. he tried but he was like "i am not instantly good at this?? in that case i will not try" hthdhdhdh

- rhod doesnt care about awards but he will occasionally bring up that he was voted sexiest man in wales in 2010

- rhod is not a native welsh speaker and he was really bad at welsh in high school, but he took part in a challenge sometime in like 2007 i guess where they tasked local celebrities to learn welsh in a year. that is why this exists.

- he cant sneeze

- when he Escaped Wales and went to uni in exeter he got his ears pierced as like. one of his first rebelious acts of freedom. and he had two in his left and one in his right. :-) but he got so anxious about taking care of them that he touched them too much and they got infected. :/

- during the great London Line Dance craze following the success of achy breaky heart, rhod had a brief mullet phase

- he had a cat called arnold at some point (important to me, a cat lover)

- im not sure if this is still an ongoing project of him but he had a farmer era during the pandemic where he bought a field. he described it as "a townie trying out life on the countryside"

- he did go to a farm quite often as a kid though and accidentally knocked a few of his teeth out at the cow shed and they fell in cow shit.... and then baby rhod dug them out to take them home and showed to his mom like "help"

- he had a crush on the duke from bridgerton

- he has somehow never seen star wars nor indiana jones

- "when we share a dessert, it is like sharing one with a dog. rhod comes in and licks his way across like a labrador"

- when he climbed kili (which adhd-haver rhod impulsively agreed to) he had like a full on breakdown for the final hour of the climb and when he got back home he was like. im not gonna do stupid things like this again. i am going to settle down and be a normal man. and that is when he got his beloved little child (dog).

- when he was younger he would remove hair from some parts to move them... elsewhere (gender mood?)

- speaking of hair: he cut his own hair for years because he hates physical touch and hairdressers touching him.

- after his studies he traveled for a year in asia and australia and like. i still dont know what he did that entire year. but sometimes lore from that time surfaces and it makes me go "???" like when he was casually like "i worked in a sunglasses factory in sydney" and everyone was like "??" and he is like "never mind that is not relevant to the story" UHM RHOD. YES IT IS.

i could go on for much longer because rhod is a chronic oversharer but i think this is a long enough start. 😭

Im writing an MCR fic, or at least thinking of writing one. Its gonna be about the album “The Black Parade” and its gonna be gay as all fuck. This is gonna follow Wendigoons lore of the black parade plus going to have my own additions. Overall the structure of the songs will remain the same.

(Note, i dont have names for them yet)

Im trying to decide how to kill off The Parader, I know that I want the male demolition lover to be the one to kill him as part of his “killing 1000 evil men” campaign. I have two ideas as to how hes going to kill the Parader.

Idea one:

The Male Demolition Lover shows up on the battlefield, wearing a tattered bloody suit and sticking out like a sore thumb to The Parader, because hes not wearing armor or insignia of either side and he has a gun that The Parader has never seen before. The Parader and the Male Demolition Lover either chat for a bit/yell across the field or the male demolition lover shoots him.

Pros: he dies on the battlefield, theres a cool moment of confusion then just death

Idea two:

The Parader and his fellow soldiers are staying at a town, using the rooms in the inn and harrassing the establishment to get good deals with stuff. Many of the soldiers are hitting on women and they encourage The Parader to shoot his shot, to which he declines. He watches his crush hit on some pretty woman and is just seething. Then comes the Male Demolition Lover, who decides to seduce The Parader before he kills him. They do the hanky panky, and the male demolition lover falls asleep. The parader writes a letter to his mother basically coming out and a lot of stuff and then goes back to sleep, when they wake up in the morning, the male demolition lover kills the parader and then he goes and reads the letter and sends it.

Pros: cheating male demolition lover/getting to write from his perspective and create easter eggs to the other album, build up to the death, the parader finally doing the “sin” he believes will get him to hell or whatever.

Cons: death not on the battlefield

“backstory”. it will be about her backstory. was she an 80’s music star who sold her mortal life for fame in a deal that backfired on her?? or was she a woman with the gift about to be hanged by the hatchet men who saved herself by making that same deal?? HOW FAR BACK DOES THIS GO IS WHAT IM ASKING WE KNOW FUCK ALL ABOUT THIS WOMAN

if it’s the former, I would love to maybe have mariah as casey (the girl with the gift in the witchwood who asked for her autograph) be an actual character who holloway maybe tries to help. also kim singing 80’s songs fuck yeah

and if it’s the latter then,,, oh wow. some heavy musical numbers, a shitload of hatchetmen / church of the starry children lore, and maybe another form of the lords in black (maybe the creepy hooded figures that we see drawn in the black book???)

also sorry EDIT I just looked at this picture again and the middle one (probably wiggly) is holding a knife. there’s no fucking way that’s not the black blade this is absolutely miss holloway guys omggggg

I would love to see this scene on stage with kim!!!! this would make 5 different forms of the LIB that we’ve seen / heard about (dolls, teens / humans, their true forms, wiggly in made in america, and whatever this is). I’m just imagining you see these black hooded figures, and then in the pro-shot you get a good look inside their hoods… and their faces are NOT human. like just imagine a massive purple eye staring out of one of those hoods, maybe even moving and blinking, a cool animatronic thing. SO CREEPY!! I also love the idea of switching up the actors again - I love jon so much as wiggly and I don’t think they would change him bc of his voice, but with the rest of them I think any actor can play a LIB which opens up so many possibilities…

I also would love to know how miss holloway met duke, and potentially even how many times they have met and then he had to forget her. considering the fact that we now have weird lore about his dad in 2005, did she know duke when he was younger?? did she help him out when he was a teenager, or help his dad?? is it a family thing, like she’s vowed to watch over the keane family or something??

duke’s dad is a big part of this tbh, because what a random insane lore / backstory drop, like WHAT? I genuinely have no idea what douglas keane sr’s murder could be about, except that it ties in to duke and to wilbur. and shows that 2005 is SO DAMN IMPORTANT

2005 was the year hannah was born, the year the portal to the black and white was created, the year wilbur cross went insane and became a disciple of the LIB, the year miss holloway took on the mantle of “miss holloway”, and (very likely) the year miss holloway and wilbur fought. so i think it’s safe to say that the musical itself will be set in 2005, which to me means macnamara and wilbur backstory alongside holloway and duke, which is very very fun

I like the idea that wilbur and macnamara were canonically together, and I really want to see pre-LIB wilbur. I also love the idea of macnamara and holloway working together or even becoming friends - despite being set a decade and a half before nightmare time, it would feel like the culmination of the two hanging plot threads / overarching arcs to me. also the idea that it was holloway who introduced macnamara to the paranormal and therefore essentially set up PEIP and doomed wiley is some juicy stuff that I would LOVE to see, especially if either macnamara or wiley lived in hatchetfield as kids and miss holloway helped them, inspiring whichever one of them to set up PEIP

ok so leading off of that I have a clear vision of a potential final scene that is driving me insane, and that’s the main reason why I patched together this post.

the final scene is the fight between miss holloway and wilbur, the one that happens in every single timeline.

and the basic idea is that we see both fights at once. there’s a song, and the stage is like black friday and spies are forever, with a level above the stage the actors can walk up to and stand on. joey and kim sing, and do their bit on the stage, but above the stage there are either doubles or a projection, mirroring the choreography. only in the pro-shot version, they would splice in joey and kim playing both pairs, which I just think would turn out looking really awesome despite being tricky to pull off live.

and yeah basically at the exact same time, one wilbur stabs holloway, and the other holloway stabs wilbur, creating a gorgeous visual representation of the newly splintered timelines.

either that or they do a trail to oregon and just do a different ending each night, and then splice them together in the pro-shot like I was saying. but I personally prefer the first one, if they’re able to pull it off and make it look good

and duke shows up just after that, having followed miss holloway throughout the story so far. and in the universe where wilbur’s dead, miss holloway makes him forget it all, hence this being the year that she takes on the new name and the fact that we know he has forgotten about her / her true past before. and then in the universe where holloway is dead, he holds her as she dies in his arms. bonus points if we get dying holloway saying “please don’t forget me” and living holloway saying “you have to forget me”. oh and just to be cruel, both dukes saying “I could never forget you” at the same time :) stew on that for a bit. yeah. fuck you I guess lol I woke up and chose violence today apparently

the idea of the two of them finding each other again after that in some timelines is just gorgeous to me, especially given the fact that NMT3 seems to suggest them finding each other AGAIN after she needs to make him forget. truly star crossed lovers they are so insane for this

in summary I guess what I’m trying to say is I think it will include miss holloway’s full backstory and then be mostly set in 2005, and centre around the opening of the black and white portal (macnamara and wilbur), miss holloway meeting duke (wilbur murdering duke’s dad, possibly something with lex and hannah if duke was already a social worker) and eventually the big fight between holloway and wilbur, ending in the audience seeing both potential endings. also obviously a reference to hannah’s birth because that seemed to be some kind of catalyst. thank you for coming to my utterly deranged ted talk goodbye

Thoughts on the Shimmers? If i'm being honest i don't have any strong feelings about them. when i was watching ii i did get spoiled on bots new look and the whole time i was just like "oh they must come from that egg!" and then the egg became an egg creature from an egg species. So i was just like "OK I GUESS WE DOING CIRCLES NOW????". I was hoping for a really cool looking alien design, but i accepted that they are just eggs. I'm crossing my fingers for the next season to talk about their lore more, and just other alien species maybe since now it is confirmed there are more then just cobs and ii. How did cobs know about the shimmer? was he a fucking space war criminal??? there must be more objects out there that's not made by mephone. it honestly makes me really excited!!! i know they're not going to go straight onto the lore stuff for season 4, but i'm just so excited on who would even be the HOST next season, is there even gonna be a host???? SO MANY QUESTIONS AND IM EATING THEM UP!!!

Thoughts on MePads Death: mepads death was very much a shock for me, i'm in the ballpark where there's no way they're just going to leave him dead, cobs is dead, they can raid his place for parts. there's test tube that can save him. like there's so many variables that CAN save him it just makes sense that he would come back. But they can also be fucked up and evil, keep on going on the theme with "death is forever now" and that starts with mepad. I fear mepad is just another one of those burning questions i can't wait to see get answered on season 4

Favorite character(s)/character dynamics: OH JOY HOW I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS! i do love the bright lights group a lot, fan, test tube, paint brush and lightbulb. Have a soft spot for the final 2, suitcase and knife, but i think that's just because I've been around them the most the whole season. LOVE bot, floor, mepad and mephone4. I'm also very smitten on mephone3gs, i love his whole "space adventuring super hero from the 50s" voice, it's the right amount of cheese for me and i eat it up. My favorite dynamics are just the same fav characters i listed. fan and test tube are just two autistic nerds in love. paint brush and light bulb is a dynamic i constantly eat up "the hot head and they happy one". when i saw them i knew ii got me and there was no escape from my predictable self. i do actually like knife and pickle a lot! mephone4 and 3gs is a dynamic i can't wait to see in the next season. mephone got a new older brother thats a badass space adventuring super hero LIKE COME ON THATS SO CUTE. the last scene with them hugging literally makes me tear up every time. I can only just imagine, depressed mephone just like eating his life away on the couch and sg3 is just trying to help him with his space captain attitude.

so before i go into TUNIC lore, i wanna share a few funny sonic memes i found :>

and i will gladly ramble to you about my take on the TUNIC lore, but im putting it under the cut cuz m a j o r s p o i l e r s.

i'll be going off of what ive found and what ive deciphered in the instruction booklet! keep in mind its very heavy and stuff, but i really wanna rant to someone about this.

so basically what i think happened is that there was a civilisation of foxes who lived in the canonical plane (the video game world). they discovered the far shore (the spirit world) and travelled into the unknown. from there, they discovered the mysterious power of the "holy cross" (WHICH IS ACTUALLY THE D-PAD ON A CONTROLLER LOL) and the ziggurat under the ground. the first Heir (whom I headcanon to be the Librarian) found monoliths that had some sorta power in them (visions of the future and whatever), and the goop that seemed to be flooding the ziggurat and is said to burn holes in time and reality. the goop was harmless, but being near it made the foxes feel hopeless and fragile, until one hit from an enemy would destroy them, but if it was used the correct way, it could keep the foxes alive. making them immortal. the goop also was really good at powering machinery, so the foxes used it around their world, having it power the endless fire burning in the "save spots" of the game. They were blinded by their own greed for power and immortality.

the first Heir eventually opened one of the moneliths and found out the truth. Twisted creatures, looking around as if they didn't know what was going on, were in there. The first Heir decided that he would be the only one to know about this, and hadn't said a word to the other foxes. the foxes continued to use the goop to further make themselves immortal, they had no worries, nothing. blissful ignorance. or as the instruction manual says, "they were granted the grace of oblivion".

finally, it hit a breaking point. the eyes of the far shore (the cloudy ghosty gem-eye squidwards, or as everyone else calls them "the disquiet beings") raided the canonical plane and rampaged the land. the foxes' tampering with the goop, and the visions of the future, it fueled the disquiet ones' power and they eventually destroyed everyone. as the instruction booklet says, "the lever overworked! the fulcrum shattered! a hole in truth will thunder open and all manner of disquiet contradictions will gnaw apart the canonical plane. the thread is snagged into a squirming coil, with no beginning and no end". time loop.

the foxes' greed made them forget all about their world being a game, who they are, who they were, everything. oblivious.

the survivors of the "age of disquiet" trapped the first Heir in the Shadow Oubliette, as punishment for keeping the truth from them, and to stop the fabric of time from breaking entirely.

years later, a Ruin Seeker comes to the island, searching for treasure and glory. eventually they found the first Heir, trapped in the barrier. after freeing the Heir, they battled. the first Heir was then killed by the Ruin Seeker, and the Ruin Seeker was then trapped in the barrier themselves. the Ruin Seeker became the next Heir. for many many years, until finally, a new Ruin Seeker, one with a kinder soul, found the new Heir.

the new Ruin Seeker, lets call him Toby, searched the land for the three keys to the barrier, freeing fairies and getting pages of a lost book along the way. finally, they freed the Heir, and they battled again. the heir didnt want toby being trapped in the barrier like they were, so they fought hard, and they struck down toby. that wasnt what they wanted. not at all.

toby comes back to the canonical plane as a ghost, meeting other ghost foxes and uncovering more secrets, eventually finding the last pages of the book and got his physical body back. now thats what i call defying death, eh? eh? no one got that okay. toby knew what he had to do. show the book to the heir, and make them remember who they were. that would stop the time loop and the disquiet beings from raiding the world again.

toby got to the heir again, and just as they were about to battle, toby gives the heir the book. the heir reads the book, remembering everything again. soon, they get their physical body back, and they venture back to the canonical plane, and yeah everythings good now and whatever.

ok so i just got finished playtesting the next watcher update, and with all the talk about watcher spoilers going around right now i think im just going to leak everything now so nobody has to worry :3

im gonna start by saying it wasnt just an update to watcher, but to base game and downpour too because they actually merged all of the campaigns into one long one called "the rainworlder" and you unlock each slugcat as you go through the different rain worlds

they FINALLY made artihunter canon, youd better believe i was cheering for every single second of the 32 minute long makeout scene

they also added a two-way mark of communication which i know the community has wanted for some time, although ill admit it was a bit jarring when moon started speaking with the voice of marge simpson but hey rain world has always been a bit esoteric

the monkland region was really well made, and the plotline where we learn about monk's past misdeeds was really eye-opening and has given me a new perspective on her character (mightve raised the age rating with how graphic it was though)

i think them retconning enot into being canon was a bit of a bold move, but really expands on the lore of the game by explaining why some of the new regions (like the ikea region for example) kept turning red for no reason

my main gripe with the update was them removing the fast travel feature of the passages and just replacing it with the ability to give the current slugcat a burger upon use, when i asked the devs about it they just said "people wanted watcher to be able to use passages so thats what we did idk"

my other main gripe was that there was just way too many snails. and the new killer death snails in the "oops- all drainage!" region are so frustrating to fight against but it might have been my fault for choosing the "im going to burn your house down" difficulty

loved the new ending where survivor saved princess watcher from five bowsers' castle, the announcement of monk's mansion at the end was hype af

never figured out how to use spearmaster's new hand stand ability :( there was a keybind in the settings but it didnt seem to work in gameplay so i just needed to resort to their disc form for the tightrope segments

idk why they added deepnest to the game i thought we already had shaded

i thought the inclusion of jonesy from fortnite was cool, but the 14 minute long staring contest between him and chasing wind that ended with them saying "guess you could call us the watchers" in unison was an admittedly weird choice

some of the regions felt way too green, and i dont mean there was like plants and stuff everywhere, i mean they put a green filter over the gameplay for a good chunk of the game

i still dont know what it means to "spin a riv and gourm it" even though rivulet kept saying it like a catchphrase throughout the game. wasnt helped by the fact that every time they said it, they would do something completely different

they turned saint light blue

i will admit i cried when monk and survivor's parents appeared in the clouds and said "never forget who you are... Slugcat™" and then third sibling came out of the bushes and was like "i will show you the way, my siblings, to Rain©™ World®™℗: The©℗®™® Watcher℗™®©™℗⨂©℗✓✓✓". such a powerful moment

it was nice to finally get some clarification on what team cherry has been doing all this time. finally got the silksong release date, but the choice to release it as the next rain world dlc definitely caught me off guard. hopefully the devil may cry fans arent too upset about that

• Midnight doesn't really give a fuck about anyone UNLESS they're close friends to him or they have something good that he, himself, wants (power, weapons, stuff like that). He wouldn't admit the second part tho, since he wants to have a good reputation. To add onto this, after a while, he'll brutally murder people with power without a second thought. They're just competition, or atleast he pictures the situation this way, so why not attempt to take their powers for himself? It's an advantage. Must do what you gotta do to survive.

• One of the reasons he kills and tortures people (unless, as I said, he can trust them or they're useful. Grat is an exception. Sorry friend.) is due to his schizophrenia and paranoia - he's convinced that if he doesn't go out of his way to commit murder, other people will gang up on him. He hasn't told anyone about his thoughts and hallucinations though, so it's just thought that he's entirely a bad person. Another reason is because he's just generally blood thirsty and murder brings him pleasure.

• Midnight isn't physically alive, or, well, not currently. This one will probably be a bit hard to read, so, my bad. Midnight hallucinates alot, but he's pretty good at hiding it. Anyways, Midnight has 2 types of hallucinations - good ones and bad ones. His good ones help him escape reality and feel at ease, which the worse ones are the complete opposite. They make him feel like shit and remind him of his terrible acts, which he feels guilty for, but he thinks they're justified. Back to the "physically alive" part. Midnight's mind plays with him from time to time, and this time he shouldn't have been carrying his blade.

This is also basically his main weapon that he carries everywhere for "protection", which it, in fact, is not for only protection. Midnight's suicidal death wasn't exactly planned, but he would've probably killed himself anyways, so that's a shame.

One of his more earlier designs, in which he clearly has the blade stuck in his chest. He can still feel intense pain, but he mostly doesn't ask or accept any help from others. Maybe it's just best if he suffers the pain alone. As I've stated 2 times before, one of Midnight's hallucinations made him escape his reality and picture himself holding a pup, which it was his own blade. He, of course, didn't realize this and just thought he could finally relax for a bit. He kept putting it up to his face and other places, not feeling the caused pain and intense blood loss. Finally, as he brang it up to his chest for a hug, he snapped out of it, instantly feeling the unbearable pain flowing through his body as he noticed the blade he just stabbed into his chest. Unable to really do anything else, he just stayed still, shaking violently, until he eventually collapsed.

• Now, don't rip on me for making him 6'7. Him being basically powerless makes up for that. He's tall, but not really OP. Midnight's surprisingly strong though, which makes it easier for him to go after other people. Actually, now that I think about it, throwback to the part where he steals other people's powers for himself. He's got some cool powers that he stole, which he hides them until he's found his next victim, stealing their powers too. Eventually, he'll collect enough power to be pretty OP too.

• In this form, Midnight is fully blind. He's able to navigate himself most of the time, but gives up if he doesn't reach his destination. His wings are slightly damaged, making him unable to fly as high. He can move his wings and fly up certain distances before the pain comes back. He generally has 6 pairs of wings :). He's WAY more emotional and honestly a crybaby. Couldn't be me. He's used to the pain caused by the blade at this point. Once again, he's pretty tall in this form too - 9'3. I know, I know, I've changed his height several times, but this one will be the main one from now on.

• Midnight is in absolute denial. He's bisexual. He likes men, but he tries to hide that. He also has a wife, which he loves and cares about. ^_^

• I've stated that Midnight isn't related to entitled heaven in any way, but he does believe in Day Sky. He most likely has a shrine based on her, which he prays to everyday.
