it was not that you are a prude, or worse, a conservative who thinks that women are ought to be virgins otherwise they are worthless. and it wasn't also that you haven't done some things with your boyfriend hoshina as well, considering how you are very much aware how he's so good with his hands. no, the issue is that except for that one time during your fourth month together when it almost happened, you have not gone all the way with hoshina at all.

you simply attributed it to him being a gentleman, but hoshina did not dare ask when you stopped him that one time. but you should have known that at some point, he is going to want to know why it seems you don't want to be intimate with him.

"is it me?" he asked, trying to hide the slight hurt from his face. "i don't have bad breath, do i?"

count on hoshina to crack a joke during such a serious situation. he just got home from his scheduled weekend duty that night, and although claiming that he's exhausted from work, hoshina was apparently not tired enough. so a chaste peck on your lips turned to a heated makeout session that turned to him taking his shirt off.

he was kissing the soft skin down your neck towards your chest when you froze just as he was about to take your blouse off.

"come on, talk to me." hoshina's voice was gentle, and an annoying voice inside your head murmured something along the lines of how he deserves someone better, with how you're acting right now. you sighed. hoshina doesn't necessarily deserve someone better; he just deserves the truth.

instead of telling the truth, you showed it to him.

as soon your top was off, your fingers started tracing the thin, white lines on the skin near your ribs. these lines look like thread that stretch to your sides. you even have some close to your inner arms. you were avoiding hoshina's eyes when you pointed out how these stretch marks extend until your hips.

"i think i just feel weird about other people seeing it," you said. "i mean, they don't look pretty."

now that you've said your piece, you felt a bit relieved. in reality you know it sounds so shallow, superficial even. but as a girl - as a woman - you were no stranger to other people's expectations of how you should physically look. in the end, perhaps you just did not want to disappoint hoshina by showing him just how imperfect you are.

you were surprised when hoshina unbuckled his belt and began undoing the buttons of his pants. mouth agape, you just did not foresee this reaction.

"w-what are you doing?"

hoshina stripped until he was only on his boxers. stretching one of his legs out in front of you, his hand slowly lifted the hem of his underwear until you can see the flesh of his upper thighs.

"oh i have those too," he said, showing you white, indented streaks up to his hips. "i think you get them when you grow, i'm not hundred percent sure."

hoshina's forefinger continued trailing on his own skin. "it's okay if you don't think they're pretty, you know. not everything has to be beautiful. what you have to remember is that having stuff like this, is completely normal."

you should have known because it was after all the reason you love him - everyone might admire vice-captain hoshina soshiro mainly because of his leadership skills and out-of-this-world physique, you fell for him because he's the most reasonable and kind man you have ever met.

"i love you, you know that right?" you asked.

hoshina could only chuckle. "and all these time i was worrying you didn't want to be naked with me because you were hiding a tattoo of narumi's face somewhere there."

it was your turn to laugh. hoshina grabbed one of your hands, caressing it. "hey look, it's just skin, okay? it's just skin but it's still you." looking right at you, hoshina smiled. "it's still you, and i love you."

And to answer your question, I think realistically Miguel wouldn’t choose to have a relationship with one of his recruits.

For obvious reason, there’s a risk that it cloud his judgement, adding a complex layer of personal and emotional conflict with his professional duties.

Secondly, having been dedicating your life to preserving the Multiverse, I think Miguel might prefer to have a normal civilian s/o because it gives him the closest sense to normalcy.

Also he feels the domestic bliss that he craves coming home to someone that is not involved in his Spiderman duties.

But on the flip side, if he does get into a relationship with a fellow Spider Person I know things might play out slightly differently.

First off, it might give him a sense of ease having someone who understands his job and why he does certain things.

He probably refuses to see what your canon event is, one to protect you from getting hurt and two he wants to preserve the good memories as much as he can before something bad happens to you.

He would hate to see the light in your eyes being taken away after experiencing something traumatic (which most spider person will most likely go through)

Speaking of which, I have a fic in the queues lined up and I will be exploring how a post break up with one of his recruits affects his job 👀 so there’s that

i've been thinking, and i think it's about time i take a tiny, teeny lil hiatus. just wanted to let you know i'll be gone for a lil while (hopefully a week+ depending on how it goes). this is NOT because of any of you - in fact i am going to miss you all dearly. just think i need a bit of a mental health reset luvs.

Airship comic part one! Wow! This uh This is actually really exciting to me There is very little going on in this part, but like, I'm starting something cool! And hopefully I'll actually end up finishing it! Keyword hopefully. But, uh, yeah. We've got some basic stuff, introducing a couple characters, got some sus things, ye.

It has a name! As of now, I'm thinking of revealing it part three. For now we can just refer to it as airship comic, lol

do you think it’s unsafe/dangerous to post about system functions? i would like to post ours, just so we have a better understanding of it, but im not sure if journaling would be better instead. we prefer online stuff because some alters have trouble writing.

We keep separate journals from our social media, and we have a couple safeties in place when we do. If it’s just typing that feels better, you can use a note app or keep everything in drafts (read privacy policies and terms of service if you’re doing that).

While we’re pretty open about how our system works online, we’re not particularly inclined to give identifying information for our body or any member of our collective. There are creeps online, so have a plan for how vague you’d like to be and which pieces to keep to yourself/ves

We queue almost everything. Current events in our life actually took place about a month ago, and any details of our structures or even opinions typically sit for three to five days so we can regret them before the world sees. We only post photos when we’ve left an area, and we change the location and timestamp when possible. Determine how much you(&) want strangers to know about your(&) life at any given time, and give yourself/ves space to discuss big topics before sending them out

Get consent from headmates or prepare to fight. Mentioning system members and their activities can feel violating, especially if anyone has exploitation trauma. Permission every time is ideal unless you know them really well (and even then you might offend them by accident)

Sharing account names and emails/phone numbers across platforms can get you(&) tracked easily. Decide what content you’re posting and remember that outsiders can find you(&) in a video game or gushing over an interest in the wild. Keep separate sideblogs and user info for different topics unless you(&)’re real comfy with people knowing that much about you(&). The more you(&) connect in public, the crisper the picture you(&) give for people looking for you(&)

Lying is okay. Change names, give a funky time period, construct a persona online. That’s harder to do with a journal on the internet, but you(&) need some barrier between the depths of your(&) soul(s) and the general populace. If you(&) are more authentic online, you(&) might have to be less authentic offline to stay safe

And to actually answer the question: no, I don’t think it’s safe to post system functions online. Catch me doing it anyway.

We find that social media allows us to get some peer interaction without the risk of irl relationships being compromised. We can share bits here and then turn around and say those things out loud in therapy

We can say that we’ve heard of others like us and learn what’s normal for our subgroup instead of humans in our town. People understand us, and we get more comfortable diverging from the norm in both modes of life

This much talking to strangers and practicing etiquette makes us better at opening communication amongst ourselves

We get feedback and learn to deal with criticism — including what is important to hear and change and what people are just mouthing off about

Most of us know that we can look for notes on our life (the stuff that didn’t make it into the letters) on this account. We get used to seeing each other’s writing and perspective, and so are less avoidant when we notice these things in physical reality

You(&) get to choose between your(&) own pros and cons. Maybe it’s not worth it to you(&); that’s fine, there are alternatives. Maybe you(&) want to give it a try; good luck, people can be both incredible kind and absolutely scathing. I do recommend asking around/leaving notes for your systemmates to determine what their concerns are, if any. There are shades of how far you(&) might go with each aspect going forth. It’ll probably be messy at first, but you(&)’ll learn. I’ve yet to disappear my system’s online presence, so clearly I enjoy it.

-aesthetics. having a particular style of post makes your works stand out and makes your post format memorable to readers. if they're just scrolling through tags, seeing different posts of a distinct style that they like is a good way to get them to go from the tag to your blog and explore more of what you have to offer. idk about anyone else but I'm usually terrible at looking at the usernames of writers when I'm reading from tags. some examples of these distinct formats would be like how I've been using coloured banners that match my blog theme at the time, a particular colour palette perhaps, the layout of how I summarise my posts before the actual fic begins (amino has some great symbols and blog decor to copy and paste). I'll always use @edensrose as another example of having a signature post format because her pinks and aesthetics are so distinct to her blog and style. I'm pretty sure she's got lots of reblogs about how to make and find and get inspo for different blog aesthetics too!

-tags. for a blog that's starting out on a new platform, tags are so important! use all sorts on your posts that people might be searching up in any variety, all versions of that character's name maybe, popular abbreviations of the source media's name, stuff like that. it's like casting a net further out the more tags you add. this is a great way for people to initially find you and spread your posts through reblogs etc.

-be interactive. reblog from other writers! leave messages and praise in the tags! this is another great way to get people's attention so they can find your blog and it's an easy way to get mutuals too! having mutuals to talk about your interests and writing with makes the tumblr experience so much more enjoyable and it's a wonderful way of making friends. tumblr isn't as algorithm-y as other platforms like tiktok or instagram so supporting each other is important! collaborative events with writers is great fun too! basically just put yourself on people's radar!

-consistency. you can be consistent without having to write all the time. I will never stop expressing how important reblogs are for creators and communities on here. so that your followers don't think you've fallen off the face of the earth, reblog other sorts of posts in the meantime! art, memes, other people's writing, you name it. and using your queue is a great way to be consistent without having to be online all the time! you can select to add a post to your queue (where tumblr will post it depending on how many posts you want to be published from your queue each day) or you can schedule it for a specific time.

-just really put yourself out there. sending people asks can be a little intimidating but I promise you a little "hey, I really love your work and particularly liked X post! it was great!" can make someone's day, it'll never be a bother, everyone likes a bit of appreciation. You've come to me for help with anon which I don't mind but I'd have loved to be able to promote your blog a little with my reply or even been a bit nosy on your blog myself lol. I can promise you I am not some popular mean girl who's gonna sneer at you when I am literally typing this out after having just posted smut while in a catboy t-shirt 💀
